You’re partially wrong. Attraction is more then looks, but also looks. So when you don’t have the looks, you have to work on other aspects of attraction which is harder and that’s where many fail. Look at it as a scale. The higher you get on that scale, the more you’ll get from a girl (including better replies to your texts). Now the less good-looking you are, the lower you start on that scale of attraction. And the better looking, the higher. That’s why sometimes, it only takes good looks. It’s…

Pull back for a while. She might need some space, or she’s over the thrill of the first few weeks. Anyhow, it’s better to back off a bit and give her the space she seems to want for now. When she’s done, she’ll find her way back to you. Sometimes people need to be reminded that they can not take you for granted and feel that they miss you. It can take some time

Because you try to build confidence in the wrong way. You don’t do it by asking girls out and definitely not in the beginning. It will only make it worse. Confidence starts with yourself. You have to believe in yourself, be confident about who you are, your flaws, your qualities, where you are in life ... Before you expect to find someone who wants to date you, you have to find yourself a datable person. And work on yourself untill you do. There’s a reason why step 1 of every dating advice is “s…

It appears you were right! Made a comment about it and indeed, she doesn’t like texting. Thx for your reply

Thx for the reply but you get it a bit wrong here. I know the difference between interest, lukewarm interest or no interest at all. My post was pretty clear about that (or at least when we are face to face) and about the progress which is slow but ongoing. Anyway, jokingly made a comment about it. Told me she doesn’t like to text entire conversations and will tell everything on Sunday (date confirmed). I guess she’s just a bit awkward over text

Yeah you’re right. It’s just so weird that I don’t even know whether I should pursue this or let go. Most of the time it’s pretty clear. But here ... I have no f*ing clue and wanted some second thoughts.

Sounds like she’s serious. So I would respect that. Go for that reply. It’s not pushy and pretty chill. She’ll laugh about it and maybe contact you later on

You should have done this from the start pal, but I’m happy you finally found out. The number one dating advice: Start with yourself. You’re all about pleasing others (typical nice guy crap) while your first priority should be you. Be a guy who girls want to be around. Not a guy who wants to be around girls.

She doesn’t want to date you. An ‘older’ woman hitting on a young guy is rarely looking for that. She’s looking for fun. Or just likes to tease and will never get into action. Anyhow, you’ll need to be alone with her to find out.

A) you watch too much porn and this is a bs story Or B) it’s true and you are an idiot. If these are really the ‘signs’ she gives, than the question isn’t wheather she likes you or not. That’s pretty obvious. The massage-thing is a dead giveaway. Other things could be misinterpretations from your side or you seeinng things that aren’t there. Your question should be what you’re going to do to escalate and find out. Time to step up your game. But be carefull, it could be all in your head or just a…

As someone said, it’s not a rejection. It’s out of her comfort zone, she’s still hesitant about you or whatever. But it’s not a rejection. You need to comfort her here and gently push her a bit. I would probably go somewhere in the line off ‘Very good question! I think we’ll need that coffee to find out :)’ Or if you want a more serious approach ‘Talking face to face is always more fun’. But whatever you do, don’t simply agree.

Don’t go down there! I can write an entire essay on why not, but you probably realise yourself that this is not ok. You would basically tell her you are fine with it while you’re not. Man the fuck up and stand up for yourself and what you want. Say something in the trend of ‘yeah that’s not gonna work. Don’t know how I got this deep in the friendzone but finding you a boyfriend is a step too far’. It’s not smooth or funny or whatever, but it’s clear and she will probably consider what she wants …

It’s the DiCarlo Escalation Ladder. Google and you will find it. I think it’s even a post on this subreddit.

First contact should be made before sitting. Hug her when greeting, or even better, hold her just above her waist. When eating: play! Something like ‘This is so good! You should taste this.’ Then feed her. Ask if you can try hers. Normally, she will then feed you. When she does, hold her fork still while you touch her hand. When her hand is on the table, touch it subtly while you tell a story or sth. You will notice if she pulls away. If not? Bingo! Find opportunities and respect the ladder.

Physical escalation is what you need. Going further step by step, until you get to kiss her OR until she shows you ‘this is how far you can go’. The idea is that she 1) gets used to your physical contact and maybe wants more and 2) silently allows you to move on, unless she makes clear you shouldn’t. Basically, start with physical contact above shoulders and make your way down. Look up the ‘escalation ladder’. It’s pretty straightforward and can be used in as good as any situation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
