With all do respect, give me a break. Black men are not low SES. This is an absurd generalization. There are plenty of black men who are great catches. The previous President of the United States was black. That’s pretty far cry from low SES. There are countless other successful black men, who are great catches. My bf is white and I have never dated anyone black, so this isn’t personal thing. That sweeping generalization is simply untrue and needed to be pointed out.

I’m also Catholic and not married yet. Attending mass really makes me feel grounded and happy. As /u/Kara__El mentioned, it reinforces traditional beliefs and this especially comforting, if you live in a place where most people don’t share our traditional beliefs.

Agree with all these ladies about a housekeeper. Another idea, is to get into a routine, so you don’t have so much to do (about 1/2 hour per day most days). Check out the book Simply Clean, if this is something you’re interested in. As mentioned above, audiobooks are a great addition to cleaning :)

I appreciate your honesty about what you think. We have been told by society our whole lives that personality is the most important. Just to be sure I’m following you: someone who is attractive would be the one with 1000 likes and the person who is unattractive would be starting with 200 likes. So in the end it doesn’t matter how amazing the unattractive person’s personality is because in the end people will like the attractive person more because they had a huge advantage to begin with. That’s true. The was the overall message and I think it was a good one. It was the writing style/ tone of the books that I felt was a drawback at times. I imagine they were originally written in Japanese, so it’s probably a language/cultural thing: as in something can sound good in one language, but not when translated into another.

Totally agree that advancing fitness is an excellent strategy. At the same time, I think it’s important to acknowledge that people will always have strengths and weaknesses.
