I actually don't think I'm that intelligent in terms of pure IQ. But people (family, friends, acquaintances, strangers) constantly comment on my intelligence so I figure I must be smarter than the average joe/jane. Or at least I'm really good at giving off the appearance of being smart... maybe 'cus I like to use big words. At any rate, it makes most men seem unappealingly unintelligent to me.

Why is the go-to on this forum, when a guy doesn't agree with something a woman says, to threaten that she would lose a man over it?
/r/RedPillWomen03/12/16 02:57 PM

You are a smart woman, or at least you think you are. Men might say they care a lot about this, but they don't value this nearly as much as they claim. No man has ever said this to me and nowhere did I state that I believe my intelligence adds to my attractiveness to men in anyway. Sometimes, being intelligent can actually harm you and make you LESS attractive than a more average woman because it make make you more argumentative and disagreeable. Yes. I was guilty of this a lot in the past. And …

Sorry I used the OP quote, but I was really responding to your first reason: 1) Most women aren't interested in intellectual discussion Because if it's clear that I'm intelligent and am interested in intelligent discussion then I think this would be a non-issue and they would break character for me (in OP's words)

Be a stand out yourself. I'd say I am based on compliments people have given me. :D Don't want for a person you find interesting, work in being the best version of you, be that interesting person you want to meet yourself, and you'll find the kind of people you want to meet will find their way to you naturally. This post makes me happy because I am doing those things, so perhaps they will pay off. My observation is most women will want a guy who they find physically attractive, who will commit t…

I agree on your whole idea of me checking my standards, except for the expectation of physical attraction bit. To me this a hard-coded requirement. No physical attraction leaves everything else dead in the water. However, physical attraction for me (and I reckon most women) grows as I come to know a man's character. Smart? More attractive! Have integrity? More attractive! Hilarious? More attractive! Really I've surprised myself with some of the men I grew to develop attraction for.
/r/RedPillWomen03/12/16 01:52 PM

The trick is, why would be break character for you? Well at any rate, if I'm clearly intelligent to people then this wouldn't be an issue. He would feel comfortable not playing dumb around me.

I understand in the sense that they wouldn't be overbearing about their intelligence, but neither am I yet people still able to glean that I am an intelligent person. I think it's weird that someone (who's not female) would dumb themselves down to the point that people couldn't tell that he was intelligent. Very strange, but I'll entertain the possibility.

Hahaha I don't think I'm quite that smart. I feel dating sites catering to the cognitive elite would be the playgrounds of the pretentious. I'm in a data science program. What I've liked in the past is a guy who: -Takes the time to be well-read on things he's formed an opinion on -Can figure out my train of thought or where a story I'm telling is headed -May not be knowledgable about something, but humbly asks about it and then can quickly contributes to the conversation once more -Talks about c…

I looking for someone who's smart and educated in ANY field. I expect to know more than him in certain areas, but when all the dust settles, I'd like if his pile is a little a bit higher. I say this because that's the only way I can trust him and let him take the lead. If I feel like he may not know to do something or may forget or whatever, the relationship becomes too parental for me. The way I see it, I want to be with a guy who teaches me more than I teach him. However, I also understand that if I wanted to sleep around, I wouldn't want to be shamed for doing so. It is what it is. If what you're doing is wrong, you'll get shamed for it to put you back in line. I don't think the collective of women should be concerned with the wants of women who are sleeping around.

What I really meant was, if the child HAD to be with one parent is it better that that parent be the father (like in Saudia Arabia)? I've read stuff about kids in single mother homes being more likely to be low income (on-welfare), more susceptible to abuse/violence, etc.

Think about what kind of people you'll attract by being that girl that walks around a college campus on a dress and nice shoes and full make up all the time. Do you want to be that person? Really? What's wrong with that? I dress nicely on my campus. I agree it should be tailored to the overall standard at your campus. So a fitted dress and sneakers. Skinny jeans and heels. I switch it up. I would dump him. He doesn't seem that besotted with her if they've been dating for that long and he hasn't escalated it to engagement/marriage. Also him allowing his friends to speak that way about her, and then repeating it to her shows his lack of respect for her.

But I do think a guy can be interested and reluctant to show his interest due to any number of reasons. Do you think that's a legitimate blocker? That a guy out of fear of losing a "friend," would refuse to escalate things to possible romance? I'd always thought it just mean he wasn't that interested? Also I'm curious, for a guy who is hesitant how much reassurance (positive signs) from their desired woman do they need? I know these questions are hard to make generalizations about so maybe you c…

Well I know the sort of guy I would like. I don't think writing qualities will change the fact that I am ultimately waiting for a guy to express interest. But for example I have a male classmate who I thought was expressing interest by 1) checking me out, 2) starting conversations with me (and often walking along with me to continue them), 3) offering to pick me up, but it turns out he has a girlfriend. If you saved all of those for the 'special one' then you'd be pretty much useless because you'd had no practice at all. Similarly sex. It's an important aspect for most men, to be good at it you have to have some practice, how will you know if you can click with this very important aspect of a relationship with a potential parter if you don't understand your own sexuality ? I think understanding your sexuality can be accomplished without having sex. I agree practice makes perfect. But I think mo…

Really? Because I know I can't really be "friends" with a guy, but I prefer being able to evaluate him platonically before deciding if I'm interested... but that could also be because the guys I met weren't igniting anything in me.

Lol strangely I got the messaging about waiting until marriage, but didn't pay it any mind. But in the last few months I've decided that's what I'd like to do and my mom was like, "No you don't have to wait."

I'm a bit confused by your post. Are you talking about how to meet men when I go out? If so, that's not really what I'm asking about in my post. Yes I'd like to meet men, but I really wanted to get advice on how to structure a social life that isn't entirely bars and clubs.

That said, I often went dancing with my girlfriends. I went purely for fun (Dane Cook was right). I've never gotten a number, let a man buy me a drink, or kissed anyone- I know it sounds like fiction, but it's 100% true. Sounds like how I was when I used to go clubbing.
/r/RedPillWomen27/09/16 01:11 AM
2

I agree with you completely. What do you suggest as better alternatives? There's weekly swing dancing in my town that I've decided to add to my go-to weekend outing. But other than that it seems like it's just bars, bars, bars. Some people in my program are going to a trivia night at a bar this week so that seems fun and I plan on joining, but generally I don't drink and don't do bars.
/r/RedPillWomen26/09/16 03:18 AM
2

But what are better alternatives? I'm in grad school now and it seems like everyone goes to bars (and occasionally clubs). I'm not particularly interested in either, but I still want to do something. So far I've gone swing dancing and to friends' places for a house warming and birthday gathering. I don't much like eating out so going out to eat every weekend isn't desirable for me.

I always wonder how women in cold places dressed before women could wear pants.
/r/RedPillWomen24/09/16 07:41 PM
1

I think it makes it harder for a woman because women tend to want men who have equivalent or higher degrees. The only time a man would care is if the woman makes more. However, women tend to pursue degrees that pay less regardless of how many degrees a given woman may have. So I don't think most men care. Degrees aren't an exact indicator of intelligence. And one can still have the agreeable, playful, sweet disposition that men like despite having a higher education.

Sorry for being snippy. I thought you were reiterating that long hair is more attractive, which I know, and which doesn't help me given that my hair is short. So you're essentially saying I shouldn't worry so much about my length, but rather the health of my hair?
/r/RedPillWomen14/09/16 12:44 AM
1

I want long kinky hair not long straight hair. Straightening it would just be so its longer and thus attractive to more men. Yes washing your hair thoroughly with extensions that aren't clip-ins is more cumbersome.
/r/RedPillWomen14/09/16 12:41 AM
1

No I don't. I'm impatiently growing it out, but still hoping to attract men while in this phase.
/r/RedPillWomen14/09/16 12:38 AM
2

So which of my four proposed solutions do you suggest I take? Or do you think I should do a combination approach?
/r/RedPillWomen14/09/16 12:37 AM
5

Yeah I periodically spend too much time looking at amazing natural hair, then getting upset when I can't get my hair to look like that. I feel most authentic wearing my natural hair so I guess I'll just keep doing that and be patient. Edited to add: I don't really feel that saying men prefer long hair however is indicative of RPW promoting white beauty standards. Cross-racially men generally tend to prefer their women to have more hair than they do.

So what exactly do you recommend that I do with this knowledge?

It seems like the vacation was a trigger for his change in behavior. Sometimes men push for intimacy and yet that very same intimacy pushes them away. Alright I thought you were saying she's "promiscuous" if she utilizes the female dating strategy of dating multiple men.
/r/RedPillWomen06/09/16 09:52 PM
3

Still act goody two shoes? What? Dating multiple men, without having sex with them, when NONE of them have committed to you is not promiscuous; promiscuity is defined by sex so she'd have to be sexual for you to use that term. I mean do you think having more than one friend constitutes as cheating? Why do you expect a woman who hardly knows you and who has other interested men in her and who has a limited time frame on achieving marriage and family to only date you? Get real.
/r/RedPillWomen06/09/16 03:11 PM
2

I've heard the same thing. This is one of the principles of The Rules. I certainly don't think you should sleep with multiple men, but the book advises that you continue to date multiple men until one of them commits. After which, you stop seeing the other men and start sleeping with your committed partner.
/r/RedPillWomen06/09/16 03:05 PM

I'd like to wait until marriage to have sex, but am concerned that not very many men would be willing to wait. I'm also not particularly religious so finding a fundamental Christian man doesn't seem to be in the cards for me. Thoughts?

Great question. Not sure if I have the best answer, but The Rules talks a lot about remaining mysterious and selectively choosing which questions to answer. Also I think it touches on the fact that men will do fuckboy-ish things to test you. Knowing to expect this can help you manage your feelings of defensiveness and anger. I'd probably give a vague response or tell them sweetly that I won't be responding. i.e. M- "Huge boobs! What's your size?" W- "I don't think you can handle the answer (soft…

I'm going to grad school in the fall. -I guess The Red Pill and Dataclysm make me feel like at almost 24 I'm already 3 years disadvantaged. -My point about lack of friendships is to say that I'm not the best at developing closeness for some reason. -I don't want to mate with someone. I mean if I wanted to, I …

I'm sorry if that offends you, but why would a woman get with a man who doesn't provide for her? (That's like a man marrying a woman who won't have sex with him. She knows sex is a given) Financially is a given, but that's not the ONLY reason you marry him. Nor is money the only way a man can provide for a woman.

If it's free it's like, why wouldn't you go? It's just that I'd be uprooting myself to move across the country, so that's nerve wracking XD

Thanks for your marvelous response. I will make a thread on how to meet men while working full-time. Thanks for verbalizing my general anxiety so perfectly. And yeah I need to get my race anxiety out of my head! It's not that I don't think I'm attractive, but that my race may be a blocker to marriage. But I'll save that for another post.

Lol other than dressing more femininely, I am working on being more approachable by making eye contact & smiling. Also I'm on a dating site. I socialize in spurts depending on my mood. Being more consistent on that front is a battle. I guess because everything I read advises that I dress femininely, I am reticent to change my wardrobe. And I'm trying to compensate for my age, race, and- at times- reclusiveness. But constantly getting looked up & down is gnawing at me. So I've added more pants to…

People always say that men can smell desperation, and maybe I've been naive in thinking that I hide my desire for marriage well haha. I guess I am trying to fix everything in my life all at once because I feel like I squandered so much time, but that's unrealistic. I really, really like your idea of setting a number of dates as a goal. I will definitely do that. Thank you!

About my job, I'd say I dislike being cooped in an office all-day. I hate exchanging superficial pleasantries with people or trying to connect with people in a real way but hitting walls whether that be dodged eye contact or I'm-just-here-to-work mentalities. And I hate the idea of just being a cog in someone else's money making machine. Overall the company culture is great! But I think I'd find the office setting more bearable if I connected with my coworkers more. I'd be going back to school t…

@MsSadieDunham, I think you're right that I can balance being professional and laid back, but it's difficult for me right now because I'm new to the job and am trying to prove myself. When I used to teach, I started off being more rigid, but learned to relax and be more easygoing once I felt confident in my abilities. Also working with kids encouraged goofiness. But overall despite the casual dress code, I can't relax into it because it's a corporate setting. I feel like being too casual will hi…
