But I don't have a first gut response either

anything that sounds dumb, but maybe less dumb than actually just saying nothing :D

Tell yourself: I gonna approach tomorrow or I'll just forget about her. IMO the more you wait the more fuck you will give to the outcome (and the less confident you will be). Tell a friend. You're more likely to do it.

I felt exactly the same for something worst - I didn't even managed to ask her name. But I did it and I oddly feel calm about my declinement. Fucked it completely but still don't regret anything even though I know I could have done a lot better

So you are not stating intention? That seem weird especially because IMHO if someone starts talking with me about some subject in the street (even if it is linked with the environment) I will start wondering: who is this guys? Why is he here? What does he want from me? So for me stating your intentions especially with a girl seems more authentic.

Yy I know! That's why despite my not-a-success I'm still happy and don't regret anything 10/10 would do it again :D (not saying I'll approach the same girl, I'll move on and have already something that looks interesting ;))

Wait... I'm lost. What about stating intentions? And high risks high rewards? Concepts that still are written in the top posts of all time. (Don't get me wrong, I understand and value your point. Just everything else seemed a valid too). And also how can you make situational and environmental questions that still look authentic and avoid small talk?

That's a good way to see it :D

life in the moment, without even thinking or planning these things in any way. All of my b OK I think I understand thanks for your help!

OK thanks for clarifying this!

Yes I understand you can't know how much time you will need. That's why having some time available can be great. Better too much than not enough time no?

You mean practice in front of a mirror or IRL (as far as I understand IRL)?

Better have a large amount of time available because and decide when you leave than come say hi and have to go?

if you go in assuming that you need to finish in X number of minutes...... you'll have a bad time. agree. but 10 minutes sharp for instance is too short for a group approach so I can't do this during the break - which would be enough if she was alone. thanks man! for the rest i think I understand. I'll improvise

So you do not set a date just swap contact information (read that phone number should not be the target, it's the date). But for exchanging number you'll have to do it in front of the others no? (Of course given more time I assume for a group you can't do it in two minutes)

Sorry, I have another question: how do you set a date when leaving? Do you just focus on the girl ignoring the rest?

mes too close to trying to buy my way into the conversation, or like I'm justifying my reason for talking to her. And worse, it Thanks I'll keep that in mind! I guess it's a lot of improvisation anyway, so I can always compliment if that comes right in the conversation

What do you mean, intentions? I meant something like you would do alone "Hey I find you cute and wanted to say hi" (maybe not like that because you are in a group. Anyway, understand your point. Thanks you very much!

Thanks! Approach the group rather than the target. That sounds right. Does that change according to the number of people in the group? Also, should I state my intentions?

What if you have never done that before?

Don't overthink it. That's what will screw you over. I know yet I cannot help :D I am more focused just on the conversation starter. In short, should I state my intentions as I would alone, or a more subtle approach using a daily conversation?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
