It's normal to feel the way you're feeling. I had a similar experience. I've always been somewhat of a gym rat with a loose diet, and it was difficult to stay motivated when everything happened. I took some time off from the gym because I couldn't find the motivation, there was a constant nauseous feeling in my stomach, and I had no energy because I didn't have an appetite and couldn't sleep. After some time, I forced myself to get back in the gym, and this time I ate right. Once I started seein…

She wants your reaction. If you really want to win at these stupid games, don't give her the reaction. Suck it up and play it off as if it doesn't bother you and do what you have to do to make your daughter happy, even if it means you have to get another Popcorn. Then, learn how to prevent future events. Minimize her control over you. It's a game, and if you choose not to play it, you win.

We all have some narcissistic tendencies, but it would be having most of the traits that would make you one. If you are asking yourself if you are a narcissist, the answer is always "No" because being a narcissist is about ego and insecurities pretty much as a whole. A narcissist would never acknowledge or entertain the idea of something negative about them such as being a narcissist.

If you need to complicate it with all these rules, I think this is going to get messy and probably not go the way you want it to. Besides, if she's not yours, she doesn't have to abide by them nor do you, and that's when the arguments happen with your fwb. Then you get cut off cold turkey again, but there's nothing you can do about it. Just agree to open and honest communication, or don't... and use condoms, then be done with it. Set your expectations low so when she finds someone else faster th…

My ex was definitely encouraged by friends and family, mostly from those who have been divorced. Her best friend, who is divorced, being the biggest influence, also gave her terrible legal advice which ultimately screwed her. I don't know why she didnt consult with her lawyer. My guess is her friend was cheaper lol. Ultimately this led to things going my way. Things didn't go as she had planned and I can only hope she regrets it. But in the end it resulted in a divorce I didn't want.

Don't be a coward, jump through hoops to see your kid. I know your pissed at her, but the absolute worst thing you can do is punish your child for it. You wanna punish her? Fight for your child at the very least. In my own experience, kids don't care about your money they care about your presence. As for my ex, the fact that I stepped up to be a good Dad without her pisses her off and I got that 50/50 I fought for. Fuck up her plans by being better without her, that'll hurt her way worse.

Not sure what state you are in but where I am the law says it is cheating until you have signed the Marital Separation Agreement. That being said I was very similarly in your shoes. Don't show her your hand but maybe let her peak at your some of your cards. Once I had let her know I knew but not how much I knew, the process started to go a little more in my favor, as she realized she can be fair on the negotiations or I go for abandonment(she left the house before reaching agreement because she …

Shes gotta spend the money too so that might be motivation for her to compromise. I stood firm that I wanted 50% and played to my situation to ensure it. Mine ended up agreeing to 50/50 in the end. I still paid $3k to a lawyer but I have my kids and I'm thankful for that. Hopefully when they are old enough to understand they will see I loved them enough to fight for them rather than roll over and give up any time with them. My kids are worth all my money and more if It came down to it. I also ma…

I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like you've been going thru it longer than I have. Maybe I'm being naive or too optimistic.

I highly recommend you don't do anything until you talk to a lawyer. I don't know what your work benefits are by my jobs employee assistance program thru HR set me up with my lawyer and I got 30 minutes free consultation. Then with the reference number I got 25% off the fees. But I would do a consultation of you can.

My ex did the I fear for my safety thing. But I had never done anything to make her fear for her safety before, I had never even spanked the kids(not that I'm against it, they just haven't done anything I felt was worthy of it), I tried my best to keep my cool at times where she tried her best to get a rise out of me to do something stupid. We were nesting and she would leave the kids with me alone for 4 days at a time. Kinda hard to prove I'm dangerous but you'll leave the kids with me, would m…

Youre totally right man. And I felt like I needed to get it off my chest and be candid about it. I have feelings of doubt and confusing feelings about myself and my situation. None of these people know me and the internet is brutal, I kinda wanted to open myself up to real feedback rather than the biased feedback I get from family and friends. Of course there are more details but I tried to keep it as little and pertinent as possible. I think often how I could have done things differently. Maybe…

At times when im doing good I think about all the things I won't have to deal with anymore and I think to myself it's his problem now. And other times I think about the good times and I forget those things and become sad and angry. Or sometimes when I'm with my kids I get sad she'd not here to experience it or the thought that I'm missing out on things and one day another man may be spending time with my kids instead of me. It's a fucking roller coaster.

So we are technically still legally married. In the state of Virginia you have to be separated for 1 year if you have children. Fault divorce can lead to a quicker yet messier exit. So we actually just had our lawyers produce a Marital Separation Agreement which outlines all the things that would be decided by a judge. Here, just like mediation you can accomplish the same thing between lawyers. The document has been signed and notarized and can no longer be changed. The only thing that can be ch…

Yea thats the advice my lawyer gave. He said not to reconcile ever because we will be back and it will be uglier.

Thanks man, I needed that. The grieving process for me is a difficult one for me because I go thru periods of happiness it's over, to guilt, and sadness. But often I think of other things that I left out of the post to keep it shorter and think im glad it's over. Unfortunately for me at 5am this morning my brain said to feel guilty and sad.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
