Half of TRP says this, the other half are just traditional conservatives who very much want marriage.

He could very well have fabricated data for all we know. He probably didn't though because he went for Halo on XBL, the most low hanging fruit around. The only way he could have been lazier is using CoD for his "research." The point is he had a bias and used shitty research methods to confirm the bias.

So that quack who created the study linking vaccines to autism, we can ignore the fact the source was a biased fraud and just believe the study? Because it's impossible to botch a study... especially when your sample is one game on XBL and the researcher clearly as an agenda to push... totes legit.

Had to look up TFR and it doesn't exactly seem like a reliable measure of anything: The TFR is, therefore, a measure of the fertility of an imaginary woman who passes through her reproductive life subject to all the age-specific fertility rates for ages 15–49 that were recorded for a given population in a given year. The TFR represents the average number of children a woman would potentially have, were she to fast-forward through all her childbearing years in a single year, under all the age-spe…

Well in the UK they already give you tax breaks for having kids and subsidise childcare and you have better access to many other benefits (e.g. council housing) if you have kids but still birth rates are going down apparently. People will do what people will do. I don't think more people need to have children in the first place so this is good news to me. Government is cutting down on the tax breaks for popping out sprogs now too so it only applies to the first two and no more. Good. They should…

Even putting in this tremendous effort in school exams isn't a guarantee for a job and working stupid long hours isn't a guarantee for decent wages and happy wife and children. Same is true in the West though. There are no guarantees anywhere. Unless you graduate from Harvard or something there is no guarantee you come out with a good job. Mate of mine just graduated uni and can't even get a job at McDonald's. The problem is that everyone is expected to get a degree. With that being the new stan…

Very true. A bubble will always burst. We don't need an expanding population anyway. It is a very good thing birth rates are decreasing, not only for future society but for the environment too.

Same here, if a girl does that shit I call their bluff and fuck off. I ain't got time for your games. I don't do it myself either, at least not consciously. I'm very upfront and honest, I don't sugarcoat and bullshit.

Well yeah, I'm sure they don't find me attractive. One is in an LTR and another is a lesbian. I still don't see why I should consider that some kind of threat to my masculinity. I don't suddenly start flooding with estrogen because every single women I spend time with isn't desperate to fuck me. If anyone actually thinks like that they must be very insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/15 09:59 PM

Yep. So how is it, to quote your own words, "a negation of your masculinity and attractiveness"? Can you actually explain that?

I was gonna reply with "who the fuck calls someone a paedophile for wanting to fuck legal adults?" but low and behold some of the comments here seem to be defending just that position. Must be an American thing. I've heard older guys been called creepy for fucking 18 year olds but not paedophiles. 18 year olds are legal adults, that makes no sense. Yeah man go to Europe. Germany seems good for fucking hot girls judging by their porn. Sweden is run by crazy radfems so maybe not there.

I bet UK would do some shit like that. David Cameron has already tried to do basically this. Essentially wants to ban fictional depictions of rape if they're out of context. Luckily this is not law in England, although it is in Scotland iirc.

That's not actually teaching about sex though, it's scaremongering about it. Btw I'm guessing you're Asian? Not tryna be racist just speaking from experience, I know a lot of people who report the same kind of experience as you and either they're Chinese or Indian.

That can be useful if you want to manipulate someone I guess. Otherwise I don't see the point. Presumably this person has done something to make you dislike or even hate them. Why would you treat them with kindness? The point is, if you treat people well even when they treat you like crap, it wears you down so you can't pay full attention to those who actually deserve that good treatment.

Eminem got a lot of hate from the MSM during the height of his popularity, and more recently feminists really laid into Robin Thicke over basically nothing, but it is interesting to note black rappers get a mere fraction of that. I think people not wanting to appear racist is a big part of this for sure, like how feminists also don't dare to insult Islamic culture.

I would hope my 16-19 year old son wasn't coming home to tell his mother about his sex life Tbh this is the attitude that drives people to things like TRP in the first place. If the parents aren't bothering to teach them about this important part of life of course they look elsewhere for answers.

Seems pretty picky both ends in my experience. Listen to a group of men or women talking about their preferences and usually they're pretty specific and, as far as men go at least, we seem to have very different ideas of the types we prefer, so I think attraction is more subjective than RP lets on. It's just men are also more likely to put those preferences to the side if it'll get them laid.

While men are more likely to approach, plenty of women do it too. 90% of my relationships started cuz the woman made the first move pretty much. Both the ones I met online and the ones I met IRL. Anyway I think the answer is just because it's still a widely accepted idea that the man has to court the woman and when women get approached so often they rarely see need to take that risk of rejection for themselves. Perhaps the reason women approach me more is because I pretty much never bother appro…

Mostly thinking about the US where weed is becoming both legal and socially acceptable in about half the country so far whereas tobacco has become unfashionable and mostly known for being a carcinogen. Pharmaceutical companies do far worse, I'd look at those first. But my point stands. Letting companies sell the shit is a lot safer than letting the black market handle it, and if you cut off the companies the black market will only take over.

US is pretty much the closest to full capitalism you can get in 2015 and most of the big companies are there. Europe is more socialist of course but even then there is free trade and a largely capitalist system. More essential services like healthcare are just state owned.

Doesn't matter when you're talking about percentage of income. The total income tax in the UK (including NI) is a way higher percentage than it is in the US. Cuz state services don't come free.

Tobacco has gone down in popularity because more people are smoking weed instead. I'm sure the fact we've learnt one is a lot healthier than the other has contributed to that but it's obviously a result of a bigger cultural shift. But there are still a lot of people who smoke tobacco anyway, most people I know do but they roll their own cigs since it's cheaper. In the UK most people mix tobacco with their weed too. NHS has been going downhill for a while no matter who's in charge. And the mental healthcare has always been utter shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:49 PM
1

Oh yes because if you don't let corporations sell a dangerous substance then people will stop using that substance. That's why it's impossible to buy drugs since they were made illegal. The laws of supply and demand are absolute and where there is a demand there is a supply. No one can do anything to stop that. Literally, it's impossible.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:40 PM

Yep, a true free market can never exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:37 PM

Try going to the NHS with depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar, any mental disorder. Or try something that requires a lot of scans and operations like we're discussing now, cancer treatment. See how well you get seen to. Actual doctors are warning the waiting times are so bad, by the time patients for things like cancer get seen to they cannot be treated.

Letting people pursue their own self-interest seems to breed a lot less tyranny than the alternatives. No system is perfect but capitalism is the less of the available evils, like I said.

Thought so.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:17 PM

I think it arrives at the least of the realistically achievable evils, so yes capitalism is optimal given the other choices, when put into action, usually involve starvation and death squads.

Neither of us is American though. I certainly cannot comment on the quality of US health insurance and the care it provides. What I will say is the NHS takes a lot of money to run, and that's why income tax is much lower in the US. The NHS isn't actually free because fairies don't shit golden eggs full of pills. It's funded by the taxpayer. Everyone paying tax in the UK is paying for their healthcare.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:13 PM

I'd argue we're in such a society right now. We all have to work but we don't all have to put work before everything else. We can choose to work part-time and focus on family or painting if we want. No one is forcing you to be self-interested. All I'm saying is that if money and power is your goal, rational self-interest is the path to achieving it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 12:05 PM

In the UK, Walter White's cancer treatment would be fully funded by the NHS. No, Walter White would have died while stuck on a 12 month waiting list. Actually no, 12 months is generous. I've known people wait three years and still get no treatment from the NHS for various conditions. And that's if the NHS covers treatment for your condition at all, which sometimes they don't if that treatment is too new. Meanwhile if he used private healthcare in the UK he'd get appointments within a week, scans…

Morality is subjective and if you want to claim self-interest is immoral then you can pretty much say everything is immoral. If I buy something for £100 then sell it for £200 that could be said to be immoral since I'm underpaying or overcharging or both to make a profit, which means someone else isn't getting the full value they should have. But simple buying and selling is the basis for our entire society. Whether or not it's in my interest to lie about being self-interested depends entirely on…

Almost everything you see around you today is a product of rational self-interest because we are a capitalist society. The computer you're typing on, the website you're posting to, the food you ate last night, the method of transport you use, the house you live in. It's all been innovated the way it is today because of competition driven capitalism, which is pretty much rational self-interest in its purest form.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/15 10:46 AM

Utilitarianism is one of those things which is a nice idea but requires everyone to be on the same page, whereas rational self-interest is something anyone can pick up as a personal philosophy and use to their own advantage because it already takes advantage of how society is structured.

That's a good point actually. Americans seem to think we all say "spiffing old chap" while sipping tea at Buckingham Palace. I do think, though, that the "interesting because it's not local" factor would provide a boost regardless. Especially if you talk about London and shit. They love London.

Yeah having casual sex is pretty easy just as long as you're at least a 5. You can start chatting to a girl and end up fucking her that night without even really trying. Some of the sluts will approach guys even. Universities in particular are just a massive fuckfest where even awkward younger me got laid multiple times. I think that's not the norm in most of the US so it's what causes a lot of frustration for TRP. Ironically enough, if an American guy went to England, and an English guy went to…

From what I've gathered from TRP and PPD, it seems like it's more difficult to have casual sex in the US than it is here in the UK. This seems to be one of the big disconnects on here. And if you left it too long between getting a new injection or whatnot, there'd be a window of reduced effectiveness still. You can't just look at the technical side and disregard the human side. This isn't even taking into account the chance a woman will cause an "accidental" pregnancy on purpose, of course. Still want that RISUG to come sooner rather than later is all I can say.

It's also easy to use them in a way that makes them more likely to split, e.g. not making sure there is a small pocket of air in the front when you put them on. The most common form of female birth control is hormonal pills. These are almost 100% effective if used correctly. However, the key phrase there is "if used correctly". If you even miss a single dose that effectiveness rate plummets. Take it too late, same thing happens. And as anyone…

Have you got a source for those British stats? Just curious to look over the data myself since good friends of mine are a part of that group. Definitely the government does a lot of harm by refusing to fully legalise and regulate these things. Decriminalisation is basically what we have now for escorts, which is a lot better than the strict US laws but still lacks the full protection of a regulated market. This we can certainly agree on. And seriously, we need to catch up with the rest of the wo…

I'm with you on most of that, which is why I like to just sit in the middle and be purple. A few things though: Stop saying it's about "self improvement". It may turn into self improvement for many, but 90% of new recruits are there for the promise of pussy. It's true the initial motivation for most of 'em is sex. But that doesn't mean RP doesn't teach some self-improvement too. Lifting is self-improvement, as is gaining confidence. This is why I think they're a slight tier above the old fashion…

It seems it's a different situation in our two countries, here in the UK there aren't really many actual streetwalkers compared to the large number of more legitimate escorts who advertise online. The thing is laws which prohibit these activities make the former a lot more common than the latter. So of course if you try to make it all illegal it'll be on the streets. But if you make it legal it gets done online, and can be run by agencies rather than pimps. So as escorting is basically legal in …

But why would they tell me? People tend to keep mental illness hidden, that's the whole point I'm making here. Before I tried to off myself I wasn't exactly yapping my mouth off about it. I kept it quiet so no would try and stop me. The only reason anyone would admit to suicidal ideation is if they wanted to intentionally give out a cry for help or if they wanted to use it for manipulation, e.g. "if you break up with me I'll kill myself." Which is usually bullshit too. Anyway. If they are seriou…

I just don't admire their customers. Why? While they're not all savoury people, most of the customers aren't exactly violent murderers either. Most just want an easy quick shag or GFE for the night. I see nothing wrong with that. But certainly, stricter regulation would be a lot better.

Seems like America uses different sites then, probably Craigslist. I imagine the problem is AW requires ID to sign up and prostitution is illegal in most of the US. Same concept applies though, if it's on a more regulated site like AW or a shadier one like CL it's a lot more likely to be arranged online these days. But it's a shame the US has stricter laws because they only harm people working in the industry.

The issue between being a prostitute and say, an oil-field worker is that the oil-field workers are strictly necessary in order for society to function as it does. The rules of supply and demand are absolute. There would be no prostitutes if no one demanded them and it's not the world's oldest profession for nothing. The government should be cracking down on companies that skimp out on these things. It's why businesses can't really be trusted to operate on their own. Do you not then think the ma…

You are going on a date to obtain sexual relations. The only difference is escorts are more upfront about it and there's no question of whether or not they'll put out once they accept the "date" and you put the money down. virtually no escorts or hobbyists use Adult Work in the US I find this hard to believe. …

Sure, same way working in a steel factory has higher risks than working in a shop. Some jobs have higher risks than others. Why does that mean those jobs are inherently bad? The people involved know the risks. If you want to talk stats, the vast majority of workplace deaths and severe injuries happen to men. Don't see anyone saying those jobs should be banned.

It's grey market legal in the UK, i.e. you cannot solicit sex but you can pay for someone's time and whatever happens in that time is your own business. Agencies and independent escorts have a lot of safeguards even in this kind of market. Very little sex trafficking is going on in the UK. It is attempting to prohibit this kind of activity that makes it needlessly dangerous. Same deal with "the war on drugs." The government is the party putting people in increased amounts of danger here.

If you are in any type of business there is a chance you can get scammed, if you are in any type of business where you meet someone face to face there is a chance you can get attacked. I just don't think these things are unique to this industry. I think on average it's not an unreasonable assumption. Men tend to have more tunnel vision than women because we get worked up with details. You have to "sell" yourself to your partner at the beginning, continue to keep attraction during, and generally speaking there will be some type of power dynamic involved even if it's usually less strictly defined that it would be in a business. RP being a strategy that favors men and their desires at the expense of women RP is a strategy specifically for men, so yeah …

Who is it who made the weightlifting analogy? "If you were naturally strong you wouldn't need to lift weights, so therefore if you lift weights you aren't actually strong." That about shows the absurdity of this logic and wraps the issue up imo. BP want to call everything "manipulative" as if manipulation is a boogeyman, but using this logic you are "manipulative" just because you developed as a person since you were a 14 year old. I'm talking about how, in the marketing thread you can see on the front page right now, many BP are getting offended over the very nature of the analogy before even beginning to address the point it's trying to make because ~people aren't objects~. IMO this is bullshit. All animals are objects and humans are not exception. We all pretty much accept we're exchanging services when we become employed or employ others, but yet BP seem to believe relationships are exempt from this. Like they are in a…

Who says he must pay for her upkeep? I see value in being in a relationship with someone and having a bit of fun on the side. Has all bases covered. You don't get bored sexually but you still have one person you have that emotional connection with.

The idea love is some magical force rather than a simple chemical reaction is a lot more accepted by non-RP, and you can tell this divide exists whenever the issue arises on here. RP is always looking at things in a hard cold logical manner. BP is driven a lot more by feels.

That's true. So how does that apply to the dynamics during a date? When you're selecting a partner, which is what the original marketing analogy was about? Who loses agency in that case? I am struggling to see the connection between the two.

So basically power dynamics exist in social situations. What's the problem you have with it? That's what I'm asking. Why is it a bad thing? You just have to learn to use these things to your advantage, which is what RP tries to do.

Exactly, people that need to resort to TRP methodology have bad parents or bad parenting. (And most won't deny it). This may be the case, and I have seen RPers themselves say similar things. Then who is the victim and who is the victimiser? I think the marketing analogy is off and an interview analogy would make more sense. The dynamics at play are identical. Remember marketing is more to do with the lifestyle associated with the brand than it is to do with the product. Everyone selling you something wants you to think the product will magically make you happy and put you into a desirable lifestyle. Yes you're selling a service you provide rather than selling yourself as a product. But that's still selling yourself. You need to show you're capable of providing a service. If I pay for Spotify the music is still owned by the labels, they're just selling me the right to play it. Likewise sell yourself to an employer and of course you still own yourself but you are selling the right to your time and a service to that employer. Same applies within a relationship or a sexual encounter.

Yeah I'm just being pedantic, I just don't think the RP marketing method you outlined really makes much sense. No luxury brand has common price reductions because they would cease to be luxury and no one would buy the products at full price. Makes a good point as an analogy though. Despite the BP instance we're all different and special, that just doesn't translate to reality. People pretty much fit into demographics like marketing teaches us and we are very much marketing and selling ourselves …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/15 10:15 PM

If TRP is about making yourself high value then surely it would be focused more on Veblen goods rather than things which have flash sales? Truly valuable products do not have flash sales. When is the last time Apple or Rolls-Royce had a flash sale? You want to be selling a product so valuable people desire it just from hearing the name or seeing the logo, and you want people to be willing to pay extra for it because they know they're paying for luxury.

Dispensation, that was a simple syntax error. I should have used the adjective "successful"/"well-adjusted"/"balanced" or any other term the studies use. Yeah I was being facetious. That's an interesting one actually. The pair bonding in LTRs is not based on pure pleasure seeking so the sex isn't just for the dopamine release but more for the oxytocin. I would suggest that having a break from sex would certainly still increase the pure pleasure factor, but the emotional connection works differently to the simple dopamine release I'm referring to, and in fact it'd likely be damaged by the absence of sex.

We are pressured to choose one person to love and kill off feelings for anyone else, and some people can't even do this (you see those getting hung up on ex's from years ago etc) but if we did not have those pressures we'd be able to openly display romantic love towards multiple partners no problem.

They're all me. That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. There are multiple facets to your personality which you can call yourself. You are made up of a lot of different personas, different actions, different emotions. Which just further drills down the point that telling someone to simply "be yourself" is absolutely meaningless.

I always thought the idea of slutting around being "empowering" was just a way to "reclaim" it. I don't see sluts being ashamed of their behaviour in my own experience unless they only slept around because they were depressed after a breakup or something. Then they probably regret it. But other than that they just enjoy it. They don't tend to claim it's "empowering" either, it just is what it is, it's a hobby. The only people who are disgusted at sluts are those jealous of them. Either it's wome…

Except that's BS. We put on different facades for everyone we meet. You act different in front of your family than you do in front of your friends and you're more likely to say what you really think on relatively anonymous platforms like internet boards. All we do is act differently depending on where we are and who we talk to. Our interests, opinions, and hobbies constantly change in between all of this as well. You do not have a solid state of self. Therefore the statement "be yourself" is lit…

It doesn't really mean anything, that's kind of the whole point. We tell everyone "just be yourself" but it's not really advice. It's not actually telling you to do anything. It's literally meaningless. All it does is replace actual advice that could give you a chance at improving yourself, and that is the real harm. It also encourages people to become complacent and not put effort into self-improvement. Because hey I'm already ~being myself~.

The 50% of gamers are women figure lumps in Candy Crush with big console/PC games which is pretty disingenuous. The majority of console and PC gamers are still male so it makes sense for those to be aimed at a primarily male audience. I think it's stupid to rely too much on fiction for any of this myself, but I help but laugh at the double standard displayed here. After all it is BP that goes apeshit whenever 50 Shades is brought up as evidence of women being attracted to "dark triad" traits. "It's just a fantasy that doesn't mean she actually wants that!" I agree this should only be a civil matter rather than criminal, however your argument is still flawed if you're acting like this law is somehow unique because there's no physical harm done. It can have a big emotional impact and it can have physical consequences if it ends in the victim losing their jobs which, depending on the industry, can easily happen. Female teachers have been fired for appearing in porn for example.

I still doubt the legitimacy because it only uses self-reported data. How I perceive myself and how everyone else perceives me is likely to differ. If it was filled out by someone close to me then I'd put more stock in it to be honest, at least as a general descriptor for judging generic characteristics of a group as we're doing here.

What we know has a big honking impact on how we act Sure but societal expectations and what you're told by people you trust when you're growing up has a much bigger impact. Perhaps this is what's tripping me up, because my experience was miles different from what yours must have been Most likely a cultural difference. My dad is a typical white knight beta as well quite frankly so that doesn't exactly help.

You're downplaying BPD. It causes a very fragile sense of self which plays right into unstable emotions. It makes you seek thrills without proper consideration of risk or consequence, which is why it is linked to a high level of promiscuity - it is suggestive of pleasure seeking behaviour, and if it's combined with other such behaviour (substance abuse being the most common) then it paints a pattern. More to the point this kind of behaviour causes extreme emotional reactions. If a partner says s…

As the OP says though, the idea is to assume they could be like that until you see evidence they're not. This is a pretty smart way to go about meeting new people in general. After all you wouldn't trust someone entirely within hours of meeting them. Trust is earned. You assume they might be bad until you feel comfortable enough to trust them. It's just normal. The reason RP has to point it out in terms of women is because of the pervasive white knight mentality where we're told all women are pe…

It's not about what you know, it's about what you act on. Of course we all know that being attractive is actually important, but if as you're growing up everyone you trust tells you otherwise and shames you for being "shallow" if you admit to caring about looks it's not something you naturally consider as you get older. I needed something to get me out of that bubble, and it looks to me like I'm far from the only one.

long distance relationship during college Yeah there's no such thing. As soon as the girl gets to uni she will either cheat or break up, or most likely one followed by the other, within a week or two. If they just accepted they were using anecdotes to provide potentially helpful advice, as many of the more sensible red pillers on PPD do, then there'd be a lot less to object to. I'm sure feminists would get mad anyway but most people would go "well if that's your personal experience then cool." But by claiming "this is the universal truth of how all women are" you come off as over the top cultish nonsense, almost self-parody.

If you keep using them sparingly as needed literally nothing. You'll be fine. I did it for years without any trouble. I also used the legal benzo analog etizolam which is similar to alprazolam (Xanax). Potent and short acting so generally considered highest risk for addiction. Never happened. Yeah it's a mixed bag. It's nothing to do with sociopathy. Nowhere does it advocate never having empathy for others. It simply advocates indulging in things that you enjoy, not letting yourself be walked over, and acting in your own interests. In our society it is a very rational way to act. Your analogy is ridiculous. If I knowingly participate in a crime that kills people I can face jail. It would be in my best interests to stay out of that situation completely and inform the authorities. I have no such motivation when we're talking about fucking a woman who's in a relationship. No the lower salaries when things like time away from work and equal job titles are taken into account is a myth. I might be able to offer a bit of insight into that, I never posted in the RP sub but I've lurked it ever since it came into existence and fairly recently (past six months or so) as I've begun on a mission to improve myself I have picked a few things from there to help with it. When it comes to women I'm not completely terrible with them by any means but as part of improving myself I wanted a better sex life too. So you won't see me on the sub but I've picked things up from it and used them even…

I was also gonna surround the pharmacy with treadmills so the zombies would never get to me before I could shoot them. This is assuming they're the slow stupid kind anyway.

And my argument is that there is no need to shame any vice at all as long as it does not harm others. So we agree there should be no double standards, I'm just taking the opposite conclusion from that. id means nothing, Freud has been disproved many times over. Thanks to you too for the interesting and friendly discussion.

I already have a way better plan for the zombie apocalypse, I worked this out with one of my mates. We take over a pharmacy so we control the supply of medicine. We exchange this for food and water and at the same time keep the controlled drugs cabinet for ourselves to get high as fuck during our last days. When we run out of medicine to exchange for food we just overdose and go out in bliss. Because during a zombie apocalypse you might as well.

Absolutely. I've had many fantasies which I have no desire to make come true. Like the idea of forcing my gf into prostitution. Makes for a fun fantasy, but obviously that would not be fun to do in real life. It's not even something I'd roleplay since I don't actually desire to have other men using my gf. That's one which will stay in my imagination. As far as the ravishment fantasies go it is pretty obvious the women having those don't want to actually be raped, but they do seem to enjoy rolepl…

Remember, 'Solipsism' is one of the Nine Satanic Sins. Just because you are idealistic and have a live and let live attitude, doesn't mean everyone else does. Props for either googling LaVey or already knowing about him. His work deserves more popularity imo. Solipsism is indeed a sin in Satanism, and indeed you are absolutely right that not everyone will have the attitude I do, but the sin of solipsism as set out in the Satanic Bible actually covers this issue specifically. I'll quote directly …

Having kids is definitely selfish. The motivation is almost always about having a little version of yourself. I don't understand people who deny this. Might as well drop this here too since we're talking about having children being a selfish act and overpopulation. I'm ready for the downvotes from the "but muh bloodline genetics!" red pillers.

So yeah clickbait. You'd have done yourself a service by being clearer in your text though. You only made it clearer what you actually meant on one of the last paragraphs when you mentioned safewords and even then you still didn't properly acknowledge you were talking about roleplay. Seriously it is kinda important to ensure people are aware there's a big difference between actual rape and roleplay.

The number of women acting on this fantasy with men she trusts (therefore is comfortable she won't be harmed etc) is already very high, at least ime. I have never been with a woman who has not wanted to roleplay some kind of rape fantasy. Shit is common as fuck. But you're missing my point. The title and some of the text of your post tried to conflate actual rape with roleplaying a fantasy. There is a massive difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/15 06:05 PM

I read the post. You mentioned safewords specifically and you refer to a woman who you're already involved with so what you're actually talking about is roleplay. Which is cool, rape or ravishment or whatever roleplay is fun and it is indeed a very common fantasy women want to roleplay. But your clickbait title is then misleading, because what you basically admit yourself is that woman doesn't want to be raped by anyone, but rather she wants to live out a fantasy with a man she already knows and…

The overall trend is there, you see it in the news all the time I'm sure about women having careers instead of families. It's not as much of a niche thing as you wish it was.

But if you want to be raped then it by definition isn't rape so your premise doesn't even make sense.

I wouldn't say that so broadly. It's in the name that they're "going their own way." Minimal obligations are conducive to doing your own thing in life. Also see /r/childfree, it's mostly women in there but there's men too, not having kids by choice. It's circlejerky but it proves the point plenty of people choose not to have kids.

Your line it way too close to mere survival. Not really, I am talking about having disposable income above what is needed to live comfortably and ensure you have a home and food. Having more money than you need to life comfortably is easily greedy because it'd surely be "better" in the hands of someone who is struggling to even do that? Thing is we will always have things others don't, and people without those things will still hate you for having them, and call you greedy. If someone only makes…

You have no duty to do anything except further your own personal interests. This is subjective of course. You may consider your personal interests to include continuing your genes. Or you may consider your personal interests to live life on your own terms, which would make having kids seem less attractive as they restrict your freedom. Personally I am not having any kids. I am working on earning as much money as I can and keeping as much of that money as possible for myself so I can buy myself a…

I'll quote what I just wrote to the other guy: Making more money than you need to survive can easily be classed as greed. After all, you don't need that money. People in the world are starving right now and you're making more than you need and using it as disposable income. Well that's greedy and selfish. But worrying about this shit is no way to live your life. You are better served by just worrying about making sure your personal interests are seen to. You are not responsible for the well bein…

Well it's possible to not have someone "wear the pants" either that meaning emulating traditionally male roles (which is implicit in the phrase) or if it means having one person lead the other and that being the dynamic. I never said it wasn't. All I said is that acting dominant provides me way more success with women than not doing so. What you are describing to me is some sort of philosophy around power in relationships, and a complex philosophy at that. Which part do you believe is complex? S…

Of course, some of BDSM is just niche fetishes. But the power play aspect is what interests me because most of what goes on is very similar to the old fashioned roles and it's very common even outside of the BDSM scene, you're just not allowed to talk about it anymore.

We seem to be coming to different conclusions. If someone has a vice, whether it is eating too much or fucking around too often, who cares? It is not your business. I say let people do what they like as long as they're not harming others. As far as greed goes you provided an extreme example - you said yourself the 2008 financial crash was caused by excessive greed, and too much of anything is bound to cause problems. But that does not make greed bad as a whole. Virtually nothing man made would e…

From what I understand of human sexuality, elements we now classify as BDSM have been a part of humanity for eons. Now how much of that is innate or socialized via culture if open to debate. What I do think though is that as we develop as an increasingly egalitarian species, we are compartmentalizing many old models of behavior under the umbrella of Power Exchange and BDSM. Personally, I don't consider this a bad thing, but I can understand why others may feel strange about labeling something "t…

This is the second time I've gotten the "going to dinner" definition of "dominant" When we're talking specifically about non-BDSM relationships there's not much else to say. It's literally that simple. In most relationships one person "wears the pants", I'm just saying I find women like it when that person is me. simply a piece of jargon to reference "traditional relationships", which is definitively not what many many women or men want. I wouldn't equate the two personally. "Traditional relatio…

Neither are bananas. Yet when you go to a grocery store to buy a banana, you buy one knowing that it will taste like a banana. Right, they all have the same basic characteristics, but there are variations in each. Some might be a lighter yellow, or not bent as much, or smaller, and so on. Unless you're omiscient you've never known a woman, or anyone else for that matter, in your entire life. And you never will. That same argument can be used against yourself. I don't see how what I said is opposed to your quoted definition. I mentioned authority, which directly aligns with control, and I believe calmness does too. If you are angry, or clearly being overrun with emotion in general, you are not only displaying a lack of control for your own emotions, but a lack of control of the situation. You are displaying that you cannot solve a problem so you resort to mere emotion. This connotes weakness and does not demand respect. Furthermore, you cannot be cons…

Dominant? That's more like a sign of an abuser. This absolutely ridiculous logic. It's like saying alcohol use is a sign of an alcoholic so anyone who drinks is an alcoholic. Acting like you're in control of your emotions and able to give off an air of authority tends to be attractive to women in my experience. That's a level of dominance and it's not abuse. I would even argue that being an abuser is a lack of dominance because it displays a clear lack of control over your own emotions. If you c…

Why not? Because we're not clones. We take pleasure from different things. Some people find sleeping around to be fun, some don't. How do you know that? Because I still know a lot of women who are only interested in relationships and dislike casual sex. In fact I'd go as far as to say they're the norm and sluts are a minority. Isn't that something RP agrees with anyway? That only a minority of women sleep around, and this is supposedly part of what makes it so difficult for men to do so?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/15 12:21 PM

If guys stopped giving attention to women that sleep around, women would stop doing it. This is a very solid point that should be emphasised. RP is all about applying economic concepts to sex and relationships. Why not simple supply and demand? If men stopped fucking sluts then straight women wouldn't be able to be sluts anymore.

Seven deadly sins lol. Anton LaVey put it best regarding those: "they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification.... they need hurt no one; they were only invented by the Christian Church to insure guilt on the part of its followers." They're also applied very selectively. Do you, for example, believe greed is a sin? If so would you reject a job with a higher salary if it were offered to you tomorrow? Probably not.

Good luck finding a man that will turn down sex. I've turned down sex before. Men aren't all out to fuck anything that moves. Honestly I think this view makes men look weak, you're saying all women can have power over all men just by offering sex. Smells of projection to me. What happened to don't put the pussy on a pedestal?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/15 11:58 AM

Just because women are allowed to be sluts doesn't mean every single one will be. Many aren't. Also RP specifically teaches you tactics to find out the true partner count of women. If you're concerned why not use those?

She said she was clean, which is why I took the Magnum off. 100% your fault. Don't be a fool, protect your tool. Anyway, it's a bad thing because personal liberty is important. You are more than welcome to avoid sluts if you want and I think it's absolutely fine to say you don't want to get into a relationship with a slut. But those women (and men) can slut it up if they want. We all do unhealthy things. You ever been drunk? That's pretty unhealthy too.

Very truthful. Nothing is compelling me to care about the greater good of society. The only thing I need to give a shit about is making sure my own life is what I want it to be. That's kind of the entire basis of any capitalist society.
