Question #1) would you like to go on a date with me? Question #2) How's next wednesday? Question #3) What's your phone number?

Yeah, I am usually very nice to my server and I always tip very well. My two older sisters were servers in high school, college, and grad school so I learned proper server treatment etiquette. My point is that sitting next to a girl vs. across from her has nothing to do with whether or not you're an asshole. I can sit next to a girl and be a very nice person, or I can sit across from her and be an asshole. So this specific trend which you have noticed is irrelevant to whether or not someone else…

I am not an asshole and I prefer to sit next to the girl. We aren't trying to seduce the server, we are trying to seduce the girl. In other words, your experience is irrelevant.

Practice mother fucker. Like all things, your ability to focus improves with practice. In traditional forms of meditation (I practice vipassana) the intent is to focus on your current sensations from moment to moment, over time you improve your ability to focus on this moment and gain deeper understanding of what each moment consists of. I can say this is one of the most impactful rituals I have ever done.

oh god I had a very similar experience with one of my friend's sisters. Was definitely hard to not cave... Felt like a fucking boss in the morning though when I woke up with a clean conscience.

I think cold calling is useless. I don't do that, I call people who have been on our site or done something to indicate interest in our product. That being said these are still random people and there is pressure to convert them so initially this was pretty intimidating but that fell away very quickly.

As an inside sales person who makes 50-100 calls to random people a day, I can't possibly comprehend the idea of being afraid to make a phone call. In other words, this should definitely work. =P

For those who clearly aren't getting it (and downvoting those who do), the original reply was made by the user named tasteless.

I agree. IGNORE. For your own happiness do not indulge her. Also been through a similar situation. The bitch still texts me every now and then and throws in cute little memories. She thinks this makes me miss her but it really just reminds me of how terrible of a person she is.

I also went and had the same experience. One thing I didn't like about it was the formality of the ordeal. Everything was timed down to the second which sort of felt excessively limiting. I understand it's geared more towards the business crowd where that time constraint may be relevant but that aspect of it stressed me out more than the actual public speaking. This may have just been the group I went to but I got the impression that this was part of the general structure.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
