Good read, but some of it seems to go a little far. Some of those seem a little far fetched - at least to claim that they work.

OR: "There's totally something about Jesus in here..." Scanning her palm like a book, make it ridiculous by getting your face really close to her palm.

OR: "There's something about a new person in your life, right there (point somewhere on her palm). Though I can't tell who it is, or if they're going to make a good or bad impression on your life." Look up and give her a challenging smirk, "Guess we'll have to find out."

I thought this was really well written. Unfortunately, teasing can be the kiss of death. Unless a guy is ridiculously good looking, he rarely gets away with teasing me more than twice. So many of these pointers seem disrespectful, and I imagine the kind of girl you'll snag is the girl who doesn't know she deserves better. Rather than 90%, I recommend this behavior for under 2 minutes if you want to pique her interest.

Amazing post. Extremely thorough and well written.

The only thing I'd maybe challenge is getting too sexual too soon. It's definitely a fine line and dependent on the situation. I'm pretty forward / sexual off the bat but I've learned how far I can push it from experience.

so: how do you know when to stop the teasing and to start moving to rapport/comfort?

sometimes I've noticed that I'll take c/f too far: I'll get the girl interested in me, but then eventually lose interest if all I do is keep teasing her.

Those are some great tips. Reading this list, though, I think it's easy to get the impression that teasing is about making a girl feel bad about herself. It's NOT. If you're trying to take someone's self-esteem down so they'll sleep with you, you're a bad person and on the path towards an abusive relationship.

Teasing (as opposed to its uglier cousin, bullying) works because it lets a girl know that:

You're not going to put her on a pedestal. You're a confident person, not a yes-man. That's attractive.
You've noticed (or made up) her imperfections, and they're not a big deal. Then, she feels more comfortable being herself around you.
You're a funny person who is comfortable pushing conversational boundaries. This is sexy.

A conversation between a friend in the community and myself, on the difference between negging and teasing:

Him: "Negging feels very unnatural when i do it. Not to mention, I usually avoid girls who would need to be negged anyways. A bad flirt can easily be ignored, a bad neg can obliterate any progress."

Me: "Fair point. Honestly, I just tease by saying things like "Listen, we're not going to workout, I'm sorry." but in a super satirical tone, smirking. It serves the same purpose as a neg and does more, because it can be easily dealt with by just laughing it off. A neg can't always be so easily ignored. Negging is meant to put a woman down. Teasing is meant to challenge her and show your value, but without maliciously putting her down.

Him: "It's true man. Positivity in game does much more, not to mention everyone around you picks up on that positive aura." He makes a great point. Assume that people know you're joking. Elicitation: Lead them emotionally by laughing and smiling, they will follow suit if your frame is strong enough. Ask her if she had an older brother and if he picked on her.

Mock her, really, really obviously. You can even repeat her verbatim. If she has a country accent, do an obnoxious country accent repeating what she said, or just sing about a tractor. If she’s being a sassy brat, do a sassy, bratty, daddy’s girl impression of her.

Umm.. Excuse me? As a woman, this will NOT work with me. Mocking me obviously, repeating me verbatim, or mocking my accent? No way Jose. That is just plain disrespectful.

I'm sorry, but I don't see these working on girls at a club. A lot of these sound like something a very flamboyant person would say. Goober? Come on. Girls in my area would see all this as creepy or try-hard.

While some playful teasing is good, you can only do so much without making things seem too obvious
