Is there an Empowered Wives sub? I would subscribe to that. Her Adored Wives group on Facebook feels more like a sales page than a community. I've had a hard time finding a group of women who are trained in the 6 principles.

This is what I would guess Laura Doyle would say: I wouldn't. He knows it's important to you, trust him that he cares enough about you to be mindful of it. Otherwise, you might make him feel like you don't think he's careful or smart enough to care about health and hygiene the way you do. If you make him believe that he isn't proactive about it unless you remind him, he's likely to live up to those expectations. Instead, I would encourage him when he is careful. Next time you see him washing his…

Literally all these men are so bold to spew their bullshit with their real names and faces. You can tell all of them are disgusting neck beards themselves. The men commenting "They can dance how they want/they're having fun" and "You're just mad cause you're single" all have women in their pics with them and are actually decent looking. Funny how that works.

For context the video these comments are from is a compilation of videos where the men have spliced together Megan Thee Stallion's song Body, and then the music changes to "can't make a wife out of a hoe" and film their girlfriends shaking their butt or dancing instinctively before the song cuts. The videos are meant to be light hearted/jokes, not shaming the women in them. Although maybe that's where the problem lies in the first place. Putting any of it up for discussion.

I totally thought the lyric was, "To show pretty face-y what he's worth." TIL.

Exactly. So quick to label them both and make inflammatory assumptions. Kind of makes me more cautious when reading some of these posts and comments.

The husband is in on the joke. They are pranking the dad. They are an amazing couple and really good to eachother. Please don't hate on them.

I second that last line so much. You guys give better advice than my mom when it comes to this stuff.

This means a lot to me and makes a lot of sense. I talked to my STBX today and apologized and was as honest as I could be. He wanted me to ask him to take me back but I don't want that. Time to figure out how to move on and be better. I really value all the advice I've gotten here.

There's no real reason for me to stay except comfort/convenience at this point. I'll try to stay flexible.

Way too young, I feel that in my bones. I swear I hit 25 and my fully developed frontal lobe was like "Wtf are you doing girl?" I guess I'm just gonna ride it out and see. Save money for a move in the meantime. If I have to move, oh well, clean slate.

This is lovely, thank you for understanding. My first tattoo said "this too shall pass". I forgot aboit the "be in a good place before you start dating" advice. Makes a lot of sense.
