Will there be stops on the bus ride? If so, perhaps you could save putting on your makeup until one of the last rest stops? This way it doesn't sit on your face for the 15 hours.

I have rounded shoulders and ordered a posture brace for this exact reason. Sure it makes be look better, but the physiological benefits of good posture are even more tremendous!

This made me smile. I’m happy for you! Especially the part about the pigs 💕💕

I second this. Believe him. I wasted time on a man who told me from the beginning that I was too good for him. I didn’t believe him. He had a wonderful heart, was thoughtful and kind, so I said “nonsense” and stuck it out with him. He was hiding that his “real estate job” meant “property inherited from parents” and he didn’t have a job at all nor a plan or direction for his life (which can be fine, except he also didn’t have the drive or courage to try to figure out a plan or direction. Did I me…

Please check your thyroid levels. Also, pro tip, next time you’re having a crying session (and good for you btw, crying is a lovely way to release emotion. Repression = disease. Let it all out 💕) put some oil under your eyes. I use either coconut or sweet almond oil. The salt from your tears can wreak havoc on the delicate skin below your eyes. Big hugs to you. Try to limit screen time before bed. Sleep with electronics out of your room and on airplane mode. Big hugs to you 💕

My goals for this month include: 1) Focus more on breathing deeply. Breath is such a simple and accessible tool that we forget about. It helps with everything! Mood, beauty, sleep, and strength. 💕 2) Gain 100 more subscribers to my YouTube Channel 💕 3) Participate enthusiastically with the classmates in my online writing course. Initiate conversations and help others feel warm and supported. ( A nice way to cultivate my femininity while in school) 💕 4) I’m single and my goal for this month is to…

I love this Laney! Thank you. Amen amen amen. I was just heading to the coffee shoppe on the corner and could have gone in schlepy clothes but I decided to dress up out of respect for myself and others and what a world of difference it made! Love it love it. Now I need to Invest in more skirts. The one I’m wearing is so cozy, a midi length silk looking skirt with an elastic band. Sooooo confortable and such a simple way to elevate a look!

I do kung fu. With a sword! ☺️ I love it and began during Covid. I used to be a ballet dancer and find it just as graceful and beautiful. Perhaps we should define a “feminine hobby” as anything done and enjoyed by a feminine woman 🥰

Groupon has been such a budget friendly way for me to glow up. Wonderful deals on yoga classes. I even had microneedling done last week and the results are phenomenal. It’s done wonders for my dry skin and I’m literally glowing. It’s also known as the vampire facial. Be warned however, you will look a little crazy for about 4 days after. But thank God for corona masks, hats and sunglasses haha. Wishing you all well on your journeys 🥰

Thank you for understanding. This is very encouraging. I’m friends with everyone and pray for a world where more people could protest police brutality and also befriend, love, and respect the police. I can’t stand how polarized our culture has become but I’m hopeful, thank you 🥰

My question was whether black conservatives were able to be open in their environments. I prefaced that it wasn’t a political discussion. 💕

Thank you for this. Unfortunately where I live (Los Angeles) and the industry in which I work (entertainment) there is no wiggle room for positive constructive debate and discussion. I lived abroad and loved that no matter your political inclination you could speak freely and still be friends and not “canceled” as we are quick to do here without even listening to the other point of view. I believe if I lived and worked in different parts of the country I’d have better outcomes.

Ethiopian food! I’ve always loved it and finally tried this week and it was a success! So will be cooking it again for my roommate and man I’m dating on Friday.
/r/RedPillWomen02/07/20 03:46 PM

Proud of you! Do you enjoy cooking? As someone who has recovered from a eating disorder, cooking my own healthy meals gives me that same sense of control we were longing for in the ED. I find I’m more inclined to eat mindfully when it’s something I’ve cooked myself. I don’t have a family to cook for so it’s really tempting to eat in front of the TV but then I just gobble everything down mindlessly. Podcasts work well for me for this reason!
/r/RedPillWomen02/07/20 03:04 PM

I’m working on being mindful of the way I speak. Removing filler words (like and um and you know) and elevating my vocabulary. It’s easy to get lazy especially today when the art of conversation seems to be lost. Also doing yoga everyday and kung-fu three times a week because I LOVE it and it brings me tremendous joy. Any weight loss or shape change will be icing on the cake. 💕

My life. Being able to think positively during stressful situations. The grace of God. Good healthy food. Healing. Forgiveness. Cheers reruns. Ted Danson. My good fortune and continued success. The laughter and hope of children. Sunshine. My bike named Lilian. Hugs. The fortune of clean air. Glasses for my eyes. Clean water. Kombucha. Love. My family. You guys!

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but from years of ballet (pulling hair back into bun) my hairline is much higher than I love. I used to be really insecure about it. When getting photos taken a makeup artist showed me a trick. Take a little eyeshadow in the color of your hair and blend it into your hairline. Also great for parts or little patches. It’s a trick the models use. I hope that helps. It took me time to love my high forehead, sending love and blessings your way 💕

This is so beautiful to read. Good for you! 💕💕 I was falling head over heels for this man and he seems quite shocked that I’m making this decision and standing up for myself. Feminine, gracious and kind doesn’t mean lack of self respect. People often mistake my gentleness with lack of boundaries and are completely thrown for a loop when they realize I have some haha. Cheers to standing up for ourselves! 💕

Thank you! That’s the thing, I don’t blame him at all for wanting an ethically non monogamous relationship, I have friends in very wonderful marriages with that as their lifestyle choice. What hurts is that he told me after three months. I laid down my wants and needs on the second date (marriage and kids) and he could have (even if he wasn’t 100 percent sure about it) mentioned to me then or soon after that it was something he’d like to explore. Oh well. Love to you and sleeping baby! So happy …

He was, or so he says, monogamous with me while we were together but on our last, and final, date he told me that he wanted to become ethically non-monogamous while diving deeper into our relationship because he “loves” me. So confusing.

Thank you. I believe in the old fashioned way. I assumed we were monogamous after he said he didn't want me to date other people. I've now learned never ever ever to assume. I felt so safe in this relationship and like the rug was pulled out from under me. I don't want to be jaded moving forward but I will certainly take a lot more time to get to know someone.

I'm not throwing him away. I'll be there for him an am willing to remain friends, just not to date him. I don't see how that is problematic? It's not a disagreement about sex, it's two different lifestyle choices. He's a wonderful person and I hope we can still be friends.
/r/RedPillWomen28/05/20 03:13 AM

Thank you. This is very encouraging. 💕I'm also glad he was open about what he wanted. Everyone is entitled to what makes them happy (within reason) and so I don't judge him, it's just not for me. Lesson learned.

Thank you! I will certainly be asking about monogamy early on. I felt that my saying that I believe in marriage and want marriage and children, on the second date, was enough but now I know I need to specifically ask. Oh dating! What fun! haha.

He finally showed his true colors. You did the right thing. Don’t play the pick me game. It’s not about “preventing this in the future.” It’s about finding out whether the guy is high value or not. You found your answer. Thank you. It's hard not to play the pick me game, but I have grown a lot and have this community to thank. The insecure part of me, and my ego, wants to prove that I'm the one for him but I refuse to do that. I deserve better. xoxo

I'll be there if he needs someone to talk to but he's not the one for me and I won't be dating him.

In feb we met online and were dating other people (I was going on many first dates) he then made mention that he didn't like the idea of me going on other dates so we then decided to date exclusively end of feb. Again, all prompted by him. This is also why i'm so confused by him now wanting to date other people. It seems like he's self sabotaging but I wont stop him. If that's where his mind is then that's where his mind is. It's just frustrating.

Re: the single poor mother being “dense.” It’s not often a choice. My mother lost her country to war while she was in the states and shortly after that my father left her. She was poor and a single mother but ended up getting a masters in chemical engineering. She speaks 7 languages and is not dense in the least.

I felt the same way in highschool. I was very poor and one of the only African American girls among a sea of blonde Abercrombie and Fitch types (and this was well before social media where I could have found comfort in beautiful images of women of color). I never dated, wasn’t asked to prom, and had internalized the idea that I wasn’t as “beautiful” as “everyone else.” I now live in LA, am an actor, and had an audition just today where the casting director wanted to see “gorgeous” types. Two wee…

Thank you, thank you everyone! I feel refreshed and encouraged reading these comments, I appreciate you taking the time to weigh in. It’s easy to look around you and see others your age in happy marriages and feel lack but it’s not too late and I am not them and I will find someone in Gods (or whatever you might believe in) perfect timing. Thank you. These are all very good points. I want to give him the space and freedom to choose me. I especially appreciate your third point, that when he is ready he will have set his baggage down. Very true indeed. I have a hard time dating Bc I feel nervous about meeting new people. Since he and I are friends it feels a lot safer for me to choose him but maybe I do need to open myself up to dating other people and not “waiting.” Many thanks 🌸
