Well, I'm not 60 days from homelessness. I have a emergency fund that will allow me to live without working for about 2 years if I stretch it. I did it for about a year. Apart from the bad breath (which is hell to deal with) it helped me lose about 50 pounds (20+ kilograms). I've kept it off since (4-5 years now). Seriously - that keto breath is hell. Alan Aragon losing fat by means of not eating sugar-starch etc is quite different than building muscle. Given the exact same amount of calories, the low carber will lose more fat. This has been observed and tested many times. This is the gist of what Taubes says. On the other hand you'll have a hard time building muscle without the fuel carbs give you. Thats why we usually go for the "bulk-cut" phase. You hardly eat carbs during cut. But bulking is loads of carbs.

I don't really agree with nofap. To the best of my knowledge, not waking up to a boner is a red flag for low T. When I'm on no-fap, I don't get a morning boner and worse is that I don't really want sex.
