This is the sole thing that keeps me from going full blown neckbeard woman hater

I see what you're saying. I mean, in a Darwinian sense - which is what RP is essentially geared toward - it makes sense to put yourself first at the cost of other things. Obviously morals and cooperation developed with tribe mentality and society so yeah, in that sense it doesn't make sense to constantly exhibit the attributes listed above. My point is that the idea of women being inherently selfish and manipulative, and willing to throw anyone under the bus for the furthering of their own sexua…

Absolutely love this book. My only issue with it was a focus on the wider perspective of relationship dynamics without much attention to specifics, which models does a better job on imo

Yeah, let's just ignore it and pretend it didn't happen; that always works out for the best and history has clearly presented censorship as the appropriate action. Sorry, but if you can't see that the events of that day clearly concern us and present an opportunity for change then stop being a moderator

Why not? as a community, as long as we're engaged in wider seduction community/PUA we can't just shut our eyes and pretend it didn't happen? I'm suggesting that people in his shoes (of which there may be many) might find hope by coming here where they may only spiral further at trp. I don't see why that's an outrageous comment. I know you're the moderator here and I'm not challenging your decisions, I just genuinely don't understand

Sorry if this comes across as though I'm asserting intellectual authority or looking down on red pillers - that isn't my intention. I actually originally wanted to write the post exclusively on the difference between being a 'niceguy' and a nice guy but the journey to actually understanding the fundamental difference between the two for me involved going through an anger face and thinking I had to be horrible to women at all times, which was perpetuated mostly by red pill and as such it got draw…

This kind of advice is so, so fucking underrated here it winds me up. Frame is literally everything in these scenarios. If you've spent time wondering about her, writing and re-writing different messages you could send, wondering about her reply and whether you should double message etc. you've fucked it before you've even started (which, of course, we have all done at some point). Everything you feel, you project. Even over the internet. No one knows how or why it happens, but it does. If you t…

Hey man, great to hear from you. Glad you're all good! Glad you enjoyed the HP analogy. Its funny that how you can find what you're looking for in the strangest of places sometimes like that. When you say you hope you can achieve that level of non-neediness, I think it's important to kind of not strive for it if that makes sense? the more I do this, the more I realise is that its kind of a paradox yknow? You kind of have to stop wanting that mindset and to sort of just have it. That's the angle …

So I dated this girl for three years from 2006-2009. First girlfriend Given that she was your first girlfriend, I assume that you met her whilst living in the town you were born in? So you honestly think that the most compatible, most attractive girl in the world - of the billions of women that exist - happened to be living in your city of birth? C'mon man, think about it. Statistically it so, so, so fucking unlikely it is ridiculous to suggest that. It's probably equally statistically unlikely …

For me the appeal is the explanation of the underlying mechanisms of seduction. I'm not a virgin and I've had sex with what I would consider is probably an average amount of girls for my age. But I'm attempting to address my neediness so that next time I find one I actually want to keep around, I don't chronically fuck it up again. Where models exceeds other books of its kind is in the fact that it gives you a process for changing your mindset. A lot of books just tell you what you need to think…

To phrase this slightly differently, a quote frequently cited by Corey Wayne: "The strongest negotiating position in any situation is to be willing to walk away and mean it". If you think about it, in truth that's the only negotiating position. If you don't have that, you have no power at all

I agree with you about appreciating the experience regardless of what it resulted in. I enjoyed it whilst it happened. I think the problem is that I was happier at the time it was happening and I am not as happy now that it isn't happening. I think though, again, that this is an element of inner game - clearly I was outcome dependent because it impacted me when it went it to shit. But that is something I'm working on addressing now. I disagree on the love/infatuation. Infatuation and love are he…

I must admit I'm sceptical but I have heard a lot of people mention a link between emotions and the chest area so I can see that maybe there is something happening there. I appreciate your comments anyway, and I will try getting into that position and holding it. Thank you for your help!

Hi, thanks for your comment. I've been practising "mindfulness" with my emotions, and like you say let my feeling enter my mind without trying to resist them and to let them pass without judgement and it has helped me. I did feel tension and heaviness in my heart closer to the time but not so much now. Now I just feel a bit of a feeling of regret and that is sometimes accompanied by a sinking feeling

Wow, thanks for commenting man. I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of that. The similarity between your situation and mine is completely unreal. the fact I had lost this chance with the girl of my dreams because I made elementary mistakes that could have been avoided You totally get how I feel. Its sort of like a bitter regret that keeps biting no matter how many times I try to forget it. Haha, never did I think something so wise would come from a child's movie. Whilst I don't …

recognize his mistakes, admit/correct them if possible, and most importantly (in your case) understand that his mistakes do not define him This is something that I have always been proud of myself for. I'll always admit fault and seek to do better next time - sometimes even too much to the point of overcompensating. But the underlying attitude is there, I'll give myself that. The "mistakes do not define him" part is something I've never really considered, but come to think of it, I think I do le…

Yeah I think that the fact I seemed to actually started looking into all this stuff when it was just too late - and the fact that without even realising it, I was doing exactly what a guy should do to attract a girl when we first met only to then fuck it up by overthinking annoys me the most. As you say though, next time it'll be different.

Thanks for commenting. so stop dragging it around Fair play, that's something I've got a tendency to do. If its on my head for 5 minutes in the morning, for example, I struggle to stop processing it. I think when it comes to my mind I have to learn to draw a line under it and then go about my life until it comes back again, where again I can just think it through process it, leave it on a note of closure and learning, and stop

Thanks for commenting. Thing is, I've already done a lot of that - even wrote it down. I literally sat and scrolled through every conversation we had, recalled every time I saw her and pinpointed the exact moment(s) that I fucked up and I'm completely, 100% aware of exactly when, where and why this whole thing went wrong. When I sit and think on what went wrong and process it, as I have done hundreds of times, it does calm this internal anger I have with myself. But seemingly this is only for a …

I can see what you're saying. I think the problem is that when you say: realise it's neither your own fault or hers Even though we are at different points in our lives, it was my fault that things went down the shitter. She literally said to me at the end that I was behaving too needily and it had put her off altogether. That's what makes this so difficult I think

Never ceases to amaze me how long it takes people to realise this (myself included). All of the techniques and pick up lines, kino etc. - its all just attempts to imitate the actions of a man that has strong "inner game". He doesn't need kino techniques, he'll touch a girl when he's talking to her without thinking because he wants to etc. Your comment or something along those lines should be the first thing anyone that comes here sees

What a thoughtful comment! This passage captures the exact feelings I have repeatedly had throughout the years. Amongst other things, the point about the difference between a needs based relationship based on negative emotions like fear and loneliness and the scarcity mindset amplifying feelings that have no place being there in that situation really stood out to me. If only I had come across the book years ago! Oh well, as the saying goes "the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The seco…

I think you've kind of missed the point of what I was saying here. This was more about my tendency to get attached to certain women when they didn't reciprocate my feelings and to drive women away even when they did like me, because I was repeating a pattern. In fearing that a girl who did reciprocate my feelings would eventually lose interest - that it was too good be true based on previous experience - I pushed her to that point. What I'm saying here is that that, is a choice and I am wholly r…

Start smaller then. Pick up, self improvement, seduction etc. - its an art, not a science. There isn't a formula - its much more nuanced than that. What works for one situation doesn't always work for another. There are general guide lines and things you can follow that will work a lot of the time - e.g. building inner game is critical. But there are a hundred different things that work, and a million that don't. For example, on the topic of escalating from just talking to a girl to getting a da…

The sidebar literally says "new here?" and then proceeds to point you in the direction of a wealth of information which answers all of your questions. Quit making excuses and start making changes. 1) I am really unattractive physically - first of all looks are subjective. Second of all, you can do a lot to change your appearance for the better. Most people have the potential to be a 7 or 8/10, but that's irrelevant because A) you can be better looking than you are regardless of how much potentia…

Its not, but is almost entirely concerned with politics and power. The narrator of the video discusses the way in which power is an illusion which exists in the eye of the beholder, and applies this to real life situations like job interviews and dates. He only uses examples from Game of Thrones to illustrate his points. I'm currently focused on building inner game and a big part of that is recognising that as long as you believe you have the power, you do - I found it a useful video so figured …

Not actually providing anything useful with this comment (sorry) but I just realised exactly why women can't give decent advice to guys about dating or girls. I had every intention in answering your question but as soon as I tried to I realised I literally can't. You'd probably be better off asking women that date guys like that rather than the guys themselves

Sounds exactly how you'd want the interaction to go. Only part where you could've done better: "Her: Definitely Her:So now that both parties have consented. Me: Yes...counsellor, what now?" That was an obvious invite for you to take the lead, not ask a question. It was only banter really and I'm the worst for not noticing that kind of thing until afterwards. But yeah probably would have been better to say something like "you'll see what happens next" or whatever so you don't give her too much in…

Really depends on the approach. If you go in under the radar and are gently leading up to making an actual move (which is practically never the best approach) then facebook can work because its much more casual/is perceived as much more casual. If you're going direct (90% of the time the best approach) then a number is better. I agree with letsgetrandy, I prefer getting to know someone on even footing and explore them myself. Regardless, you have to remember two things: 1) if you're using facebo…

Are you asking if he's serious because you should always assume a girl likes you/did something for you approval? or because he's saying he hopes its to do with him and is therefore kind of outcome dependent? or because he's focusing are minuscule details and thinking so much about one girl? Or all of the above?

Yeah I get what you're saying. I think that part of me wants to go all in because I don't want to regret not telling her how I feel, but the more time passes, the more I realise that a large part of those feelings are an illusion. Don't get me wrong, I really liked this girl and the feeling she gave me and the connection we had - but I don't think I was actually in love with her. Haha, that's a good thing because I can write for England when I get going. Yeah I'm really really going all out here - I'm figuring that if this is gonna work, I'm gonna have to battle the fuck out with all of the (incorrect) things I've learned up until this point. I think this is the key: "the notion that I know who I am and am completely accepting of that person - should remain the same" - I don't even think that should be the average. A lot of people will say "oh you can never be truly outc…

Hi mate, thanks for commenting. I'm really starting to come round to this point of view. When I sat down and actually thought about what it was that I really liked about her, it hit home heavily. I could list things - I liked her fringe, her laugh, the way she pinched me when I teased her, her arse, the scouse accent etc. but these aren't things that were unique to her at all, I could get them individually in other people (and probably all of them for one person as they weren't all that distinct…

That's great man, I'm glad to hear that you're actually taking steps to improve your life instead of taking the route of a victim and taking no action at all. At least you know you're stronger than most of the population. What I'd say to you on becoming outcome independent in bad circumstances is that its all in your head. Yeah, it is easier when everything is going your way, of course it is. And yeah, its fucking difficult to detach your ego from tangible things like jobs, financial status, asp…

Ack see listen to yourself man. Its written all over what you say - "Then when I struggle in other areas of my life, it just gets harder to deal with women and stop looking needy" You're still outcome dependent. Not just on an interaction with a girl, but on other things in your life. IMO, whilst I'm still working on it myself, the key isn't to build a hard exterior shell made up of game and achievement and good looks, because no matter how strong you make that, it's still weak and it will still…

Haha that's cool. It's nice to speak to someone that's experiencing a similar thing. I speak to some of my buddies about it and they're kinda like "what... over a girl you just dated? you weren't together". Gimmie a shout if you wanna blow some steam off or whatever, it can be helpful. Yeah I completely feel you. Knowing that you're responsible for messing up sucks, but you gotta be logical. You're understanding of how value is determined isn't quite right. A bag of potatoes are worth whatever people think they're worth. Supply and demand is all that determines that value. Think about a company like apple - yeah, the stuff they produce is pretty good. But the most valuable thing about that brand... is the brand. It's the picture of an apple - its intangible. It doesn't actually exist, its just an idea. Value is in the eye of the beholder. No one is actually more valuable than anyone…

Hey man, thanks for commenting. Yeah, I think this is actually a fairly common narrative, which makes sense - guy meets girl --> girl likes guy --> guy likes girl --> guy hasn't got a clue what he's doing and acts needy --> girl gets freaked out, loses interest and disappears --> guy realises he's useless with women and seeks help. Yeah I completely agree with you - I only really had this realisation the other night, but already my mindset has changed. I'm slowly realising that literally everyth…

Hey man, thanks for commenting. Yeah, I completely agree - in hindsight, I should've let her do 100% of the work and not let her know where I was at. But that's kind of what this whole post is about - even if I had deployed all of the tactics in the book, sooner or later I'd have fucked up again because I haven't got the right head space right now. But yeah, I agree that those are the steps for me to take right now.

Hey man, thanks for commenting. I absolutely agree with you - overthinking is absolutely one of my greatest weaknesses. And yeah, you got the jist. I messed up with the girl and I really, really liked her a lot - easily the best looking and generally attractive girl I've been with. I know where I went wrong - her exact words at one point were "you nagging me and being (sorry) needy isn't making me want to spend time with you". Points to her for being completely honest I guess. Click on my name and read my last post. I'm still working on inner game myself, but there's a massive misconception about how this stuff works. You think that when you're talking to a girl, you need to play a game with her - you read about pick up lines, using things like kino, escalating, displaying dominance etc. The misconception being that all of that is completely irrelevant if you don't have inner game. Inner game is about the actual way you see yourself - it's actually stupid that it's ca…

This sound pretty normal to me, it's not a particularly unique thing. I completely get what you're saying about the whole sex thing. There's something that really bugs you about not having sex with you or someone else having sex with her but you can't quite put your finger on it or get it out of your head. Most guys go through it at some point, don't worry. First of all, you need to go no contact asap. You don't need to hear it from me. If she strung you along and messed you around like that, yo…
