Our, human species; young, embryos through neonates. If your argument is over semantics concerning abortion then you probably should've saved your comments for r/atheism, I'm speaking very specifically about the ethics surrounding and arising from the widespread use of artificial wombs.

The prospect of an artificial womb worries me too. I assume that at some point the rights of those donating gametes with respect to the child will be reduced to nothing, leading to state-owned crops of children. Eventually, the rights of embryos will deteriorate to nothing, allowing mass-harvesting of gametes from two people to mass-produce embryos for the sole purpose of scientific research, then discarded as waste.
