Getting a payout from my exjust did more research and found that it looks like it might actually be tax-free! | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/02/25 05:00 PM
Won but Feel BadFigured as much, and I get it, but thank you for confirming! Now if we can only get your take on the two lawyers "colluding" :) | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/02/25 07:15 PM
Won but Feel BadIm feeling this right now. I just "won" my almost 2 year divorce(even tho a short marriage and no kids). It was long and SO EXPENSIVE, and she "won" every step along the way, beating me down financially. That was until we finally went to trial, which was against my lawyers advice, but they also told me the complete crap deal they were offering was the "best id get. even at trial". Then when I finally could explain things and show some evidence to a judge, her lies caught up to her and was finall… | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/02/25 09:44 PM
Time judge took to come to a decisionHmm i'm confused. You signed the judgement and decree papers but then you said you dont have trial until March? how does it work exactly? Im pretty sure I never signed either of those, but I already had trial. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/10/24 05:51 PM
URGENT - Trial: Does evidence ever matter? My friend is ok with splitting everything 50/50, but the "great" proposal he got tossed his way by opposing counsel gives her 80% and him 20% | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/09/24 08:29 PM
Recognizing I'm being forced into a disproportionate settlement..Bad choice of words on my part. Not being forced, but rather strongarmed. Attny is saying im not gonna get a better deal at trial, and it might even be a worse deal, so I should take this deal. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/08/24 01:59 PM
