40, 6’3. First had sex at 27 and now ‘making up for lost time’ but reality is has ED and uses viagra. Uses tales of woe to manipulate you. Obsessed by muscles and has none. Measures penis prior to sex. Will neg you about your body and compares you to his ex while having sex. No idea about foreplay, scared of vagina. Makes everything a competition. Bros before everything, will be selfish lover, you will have more satisfaction with your vibrator. Uses mental health as an excuse why he can’t be in …

Agreed with the exhausting part. The language men use on old is disgusting. It’s the same experience with each match, liars, fuckboys and guys with untreated mental health issues plus low motivation/effort for anything in their lives. Most of them want sex but don’t want the companionship or caring for their partner. Just what we can do for them.

Somehow ended up in a situationship, which I ended after 6 weeks. I couldn’t understand my behaviour, the things he said and I was having trouble letting go. I googled a question and fds came up via reddit which I hadn’t used before.

Agreed. I had major surgery 5 months ago. My mother was the most supportive. I limited who knew about the surgery just in case it didn’t work and it was a success. My sister must have contacted my dad as he called me three days after the surgery…. It took him another 4 months to check up on me.

I knew at 11 years old that I had no maternal instinct. Being a mother is hard work and the majority of women in my family have ended up being single parents. I tell nosy people that I have crap genes that I don’t want to pass on. Nothing has changed in that time, I’m 41 now

Working does suck but what is worse is being trapped without a way of getting out of the situation. Try getting a job after being sahm for 20 years with no work experience. You will be broke for years, scraping by. Kids relying on you.

I got my period at 12, thought I had shit my pants even though mum and sister had explained the facts of life throughly before. I have been a major bookworm since I was 10. Any male attention I had from boys my age was angry, verbally aggressive and disrespectful. Not much has changed, now I’m overweight and really haven’t felt seen most of my life. I’ve been a little afraid to lose the weight due to any potential attention from men.

The last fucknuckle had ED and had to have oral sex or viagra to keep it up. Also violently wanking himself. No foreplay. Hardly any kissing, or would stick tongue in my mouth and just leave it there. Would not touch my vagina, at all. Often would say he couldn’t find the hole and would blame it on my height. I would think that if you experienced ED , wouldn’t you learn to be an oral master to make the experience pleasurable for your partner, but for this guy it was all about him and his dick. I…

I think on the whole most men have always been disgusting and abusive. In using OLD, we have had a concentrated bombardment of grossness during Covid restrictions. I know that I was researching for help dealing with it when I found FDS. I have gotten to the point where I don’t even want to speak to a man because of the filth, abuse and their thought process to enter my bubble. I’ve listened to my mum, aunts and family friends speak on how they were spoken to and treated by their husbands, relati…

I’m safer single, I prefer to be single. I can have a shower at 2am without bothering anyone, I can be 3/4 naked and not have anyone saying it’s sexy time. I can go anywhere at any time and spend my money without being questioned. I don’t have to deal with moody selfish men. I can cook what I like. Starfish on bed. No second guessing what anyone is thinking. Read and watch tv without a snarky comment.

Weekends are for the boys mentality. Not Taking care of their physical health ie diabetes. Not cutting finger to toe nails or nail biters. BO or don’t brush their teeth. Smokers. Don’t know what foreplay is. Think having a big dick size is a personality trait. Liars. How they speak, condescending or use any abusive language to women in any setting. Not having any pets. My experience with sex with men has always been a disappointment and painful. The only time it wasn’t painful was when I made sure that I was ready beforehand and then it was difficult to let go, the reality was the kindness was really myself, I missed myself. I seem to have long periods of singledom/celibacy where I am happier and less stressed but then think I’m missing out or lonely and then have same crap experience and repeat and around we go again. I much prefer being a solo sexual

I love my lifestyle.. living and working from home. But I admit that the isolation with Covid ramping up again and the isolation from work- no communication unless there is an issue is starting to get to me again. I cut off toxic people last year and now don’t have those outlets. God I’m in a shitty mood. One thing I noticed with my mum, once divorced, she never had a relationship with a male again. My nan perm split with pop once she could get her own bank account in the 70s.

Religion is about control. From my experience with my father who is still religious obsessed, it has been about controlling our thoughts, actions, clothes, hair do’s, temple expectations, way of life, women living with more restrictions than males. I’ve learnt from last stint last year is go with your gut, don’t give second chances, they are not having a bad day - they are showing you who they are- believe it, don’t sleep with them - oxytocin is a bitch, if they start hot/cold behaviour- get rid of them. 6 weeks. The thing is I knew all of this, so I’ve spent time trying to figure out why I was allowing this shit. Living and working alone during COVID took its toll. I’m back on being single and happy.

I was diagnosed with ptsd in late 2019, it is mostly from a horrible holiday 15 years ago. Been dealing with depression and anxiety since that time. Have lived with essential tremor for 25 yrs. I think the anxiety stems from ET mostly. I have long periods of happy singledom and when I make an effort to date or have a relationship I find extremely lvm and only put up with it for short periods of time. I want a life partner but can’t seem to have any luck in that area, so I stay single.

It came out after my aunt died that she cleaned houses during the day, made sure she was home for her husband’s lunchtime call and went out to clean houses again then picked up the kids from school. This was in 1970/80s. Due to uncle going to the pub after work to drink most of his pay. My aunt was the only reason the kids got fed. When she died, the kids learnt how much she was still doing for him and refused to wash his shit stained underwear or cook meals for him. My mum refuses to visit him,…

The person I thought was my best friend asked me to marry her brother so she would not have to take care of him. I realised in that moment that she was a selfish bitch who didn’t care about me at all. Her brother was violent, didn’t shower and was on the spectrum (undiagnosed). She had previously not believed me when I said a guy tried to push me into the backseat of his car. I had closed the car door on my leg to get away. The guy guy was the best friend of her boyfriend.

After last year’s nightmare run of OLD, I will never use the apps again. So many lvm who only want casual sex and the way they speak to you is abhorrent. It messed with my mental health and self esteem and way of thinking. I thought it would be a good way to get to know someone... they are disgusting. I’ll take singledom forever to avoid that amount of pain and confusion. The levels of hell you go to when you are lonely and touch starved. Bloody restrictions. I was not acting like myself at all.

I watched an sbs insight episode a few years ago about how older women become homeless / living in vans. It was usually due to marriage breakup, losing job and unable to gain another and a bout of illness. They were in their 50s and above. I took it to heart. My mum was 46 when divorced and it’s only due to her retraining when I was a baby, that she was able to secure a house/mortgage. Mum has never dated since the divorce. She doesn’t trust men.

Guys give so many mixed messages. I’m quite literal in what I say, if I ask if you want to come to the beach to paddle in the water that is exactly what I mean. I had to teach myself how to use make up and shave my legs. We didn’t have much money growing up as a single parent so I’ve been a tomboy/wear comfy clothes majority of life. It’s hard to get out of that mindset. Now my tremors have progressed I don’t use make up or a razor on my legs.

I had trouble with male neurologists as well, they categorised my tremor as ‘not that bad compared to others’, excuse me asshat, I’m the one who lives with it. I put off seeing a specialist for years after their dismissive attitudes, thankfully I have female specialist who I will follow to the ends of the earth. She gets how limiting it can be.

For me, it's mostly shock when exes threaten violence or assault me or verbally abuse me. After the threat of violence or act of, I get out of relationships very quickly. The harder ones for me are the the narc or nasty random comments plus conditioning that I have to keep trying to make relationship work. Looking back, my dad was/is verbally abusive/narc and emotionally unavailable so I'm still susceptible to this behavior. I'm listening to my gut more but a few keep slipping thru

That is if he is a good dad. Why would you want to be with someone who treats their children like shit. Topics like this reminds me of my childhood where I was not put first by my father and NAME resented and disliked me. I've never called her my step mum.

I had an ex who used me as an excuse not to go to a friends party and this friend absolutely hated me and treated me like shit when he saw me - bf said nothing. Turns out ex used me as an excuse for everything he didn't want to do and in turn with me was never free due to friends or work, was really staying home playing computer games. Loser.

Thank you for this. Just had an OLD try again and the type of men I was attracting was horrifying. Finally going back to my preference of being single rather in a shit relationship. The last one wanted to be called daddy, to be his property/ slave. Vomit.

Finally, someone who thinks like me. I was seeing a guy and it felt like self harm. I mentioned how I felt to my niece and she looked at me like I was nuts

I had a lover who spent a long time in my bathroom when he visited and would have long showers... I was wtf the entire time as it was such a weird thing to do, I’d never had another person do that. Thanks for the insight

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
