Even at my age now (early 30s) I was starting to ask this to myself last April when I decided to start dating again. The two men I decided to actually give more energy to weren’t sexual at all. And conversation flowed with both of them easily. The one I ended up with, it took me so long to believe that he was in to me because he never has asked for nudes or turned the conversation sexual. It’s really messed up.

When I confessed this to him he felt bad for me and women in general. And also for men. Because this way of thinking, the goal of nudes snd whatnot, immediately or at all, hinders you from developing a true meaningful relationship.

A possible HVM I was talking to told me he once dated a woman who would randomly send him nudes without him asking during regular conversation and when he asked her not to because he felt uncomfortable she took it as he hated her and didn’t like her. When he didn’t ask or want to fuck on the first date she was also turned off and thought it meant she was ugly and he hated her.

Later she ended up getting with his co worker who would constantly ask him about his past with this girl which he was honest about. Co worker asked if he’d ever slept with her, and when the potential HVM said no co worker proceeded to “roast” him and go on about how great she was in bed and how much he missed out on. And then proceeded to try to show her nudes before he was stopped by the possible HVM.

He’s been called gay and basically gets treated badly because he doesn’t like to disrespect women by women themselves. It’s so sad that literally women feel they need to be hyper sexual and putting themselves out there! They think it’s a requirement! They’ve been taught to get self esteem from victimizing themselves. It’s so awful.

I spoke to a guy every day for a lil over 3 months, carrying the convo who didn’t talk about sex. Met via bumble. Turns out he was autistic, needing lots of support for daily living, was asexual. I was prepared to meet him knowing the autistic and asexual, for a relationship. He started canceling on me last minute twice via video date/phone calls and when I told him I didn’t appreciate that, he blocked me on everything. This is so, so sad that this is the first NORMAL guy she's talked to. I can't imagine that :(. I hope she maintains a healthy sense of paranoia and vets him but it's so sad.
