This is so sad. I got my little brother AirPods for Christmas, I thought I did pretty well but he outdid me by gifting me a Nintendo Switch + a game. Pay attention to how men treat the women in their life, this loser is definitely not husband material.

“Done with whatever we have” yea I don’t think he realizes he’s her boyfriend. That’s why you need to find someone intentional that’s proud to call you his.

Condoms aren’t 100% effective, neither is any contraceptive method. It is best to pair contraceptive methods together, so condom + birth control. If you use both methods correctly there’s a virtually 0% chance you will get pregnant (or “abort with birth control”, as he describes it). You are your own person with your own beliefs and choices. Do NOT let anyone impose on that, this is an unhealthy precedent and I agree with the other posts here. Edit: just saw OP also posts to red pill women, FDS …

Yea.. it’s one thing to raise a child with a mental illness when you have a loving, supportive partner and access to the necessary resources. It’s another to do it alone. I obviously wish her the best, but this is going to be very difficult for her.

From my understanding, if you’re not married to a man then you walk away with nothing. This is problematic particularly if you are in a situation where you’re a SAHM and have put your career on the back burner for your family. In a marriage, both people are investing in creating a life together. Marriage is an insurance policy to ensure both people walk away with a share of the investments in the event that the marriage dissolves. I think only you can decide if marriage is worthwhile a second ti…

Pranks aren’t harmful, and by the end both people should be laughing. He’s not stupid, this was intentionally mean. He has known you for four years and lived with you, so he KNOWS what your plants mean to you and how much work you put into caring for them.

Where I’m from in the US it’s standard to spend around 8k USD on an engagement ring, these are middle class people. It wouldn’t make sense to spend less than 2-3k USD on an engagement ring, even if you went with a diamond alternative (it should still be a quality gemstone in terms of color and clarity, a decent size and set in gold or platinum).

The blame always falls on women. My ex’s mom was an absolute nightmare, and while it could have been due to a personality disorder I really believe it was most likely the fact that she had to raise 3 kids basically by herself and had no say in the relationship. Her husband made her move to America with 2 small kids away from their support system and refused to move back to their home country for 17 years, and then she also had to work as an engineer while doing all the cooking/cleaning/childcare…

Yep, women need to be taught that basic respect is granted only for those that give it to you. This man demands she spend all of her free time driving around in his car, so she can give him free therapy sessions! On top of that, this isn’t a case where they’re just not compatible and she can call him up to be like, “hey, this isn’t working out.” He’s going to have a melt down and try to go back and forth with her. We should never feel bad about avoiding emotionally taxing drama.

This is why every woman needs FDS in her life. You shouldn’t need the opinions or validation of strangers on the internet to should cut someone you barely know out of your life.

Yea, a really angry and unhinged women would destroy some property at the very most. A temporary monetary inconvenience. Men will kill you, post your intimate photos to public forums and apparently close the door on huge, life-changing opportunities for you.

I know you are trying to wrap your head around why he is using his trauma to manipulate you.. but listen. This isn’t uncommon. There is a certain type of man that uses vulnerability early on to create a false sense of intimacy. He’s going to try to ramp things up and make your relationship go at lighting speed, all because “he opened himself up to you”. You deserve better, sis. I can guarantee the manipulation tactics don’t end here.

Yep, some guy in a band. She was in her late 20s/early 30s at the time too.. she has since graduated to college aged men which I don’t think is much better. I have no idea what a 40 year old woman and a guy who left his parent’s house 3 years ago have to talk about.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/20 10:51 PM

She makes good points but I have such a hard time watching her.. she is inconsistent and I don’t want my romantic life to look anything like hers. She’s 40 and fixates on early 20s men, can’t stay single for even a matter of weeks, and, “likes to watch her boyfriend make out with strippers when they go to strip clubs together”.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/20 10:44 PM

Yea unfortunately I don’t see this ending well for her friend.. she has learned to live with this LVM for however long, and the urge for her to have children will most likely override all the red flags. This story is all too common and a lot of women feel this path to motherhood is their only option (because men will be men). It’s one thing to accept LV behavior, but it makes zero sense to bring a child into the world that will also have to live with a LVM as a father and a stressed out mother.

He didn’t consider your feelings when he hopped into another relationship before you guys even physically separated. I know that was a long tome ago and you’ve probably moved past it, but I can guarantee he’s the same man he was almost 5 years ago. Instead of being single and working on himself like you did, he found another woman to distract him and tolerate his shitty behavior. You should feel good about the progress you’ve made, now you need to finally close this chapter of your life by block…

Stopped reading at the part where he says he is happy in the relationship, so you’re responsible for your unhappiness. That is some next level gaslighting! Do you think for yourself or do you just believe everything this man feeds you? I’m not even going to explain why you need to leave this man. You wrote a book on every good reason you have to leave him, now go read the handbook and level up.

It’s pathetic, and the worst part is he is getting praise for this. If you are a father of 5 kids and don’t have custody arrangements for any of them, you better find a way to financially support them with all of the free time you get being a deadbeat. That means you’re either working 12 hour days 6 days a week to provide for them, or working while going to school full time so you have higher income potential. But instead this man chooses to spend his time searching for the next woman to bear ye…

I didn’t point out the obvious because everyone here is clearly responsible for piss-poor family planning, but he is taking 0 accountability and wants a pat on the back for a measly $150 a month. He even said this in the comments (to one of the few women criticizing him for having multiple kids he can’t afford): “Or don’t have kids with a men you know got multiple already .” This man completely refuses to acknowledge he is a BUM. Ya “men going their own way” unfortunately doesn’t mean “leaving women alone”. It just means being more intentional about harming women. The whole idea is built on the hatred of women, and self improvement with the end goal of attracting more women to take advantage of.

Men also leave when you are no longer convenient to them. So if you get sick, have to do LD for a period of time, have another huge responsibility that takes up a chunk of your time.. expect your relationship to end or significantly deteriorate.

I feel like there’s a line between a hobby and something that just seems to be a time suck. I view a hobby as something that adds value to your life in some way.. for example hiking, or learning something new like piano or a second language. If a guy has dedicated timeslots for stuff like that, I completely respect it and would work around his schedule accordingly (and he should do the same for me as well). Video games and TV/Netflix are in a different category for me.

This is next level desperate. She obviously can’t take a hint- this guy did NOT want to take her on a date. This isn’t a date. Omg. As a biracial black woman, I can tell you that you’re lucky colorist men avoid you altogether. Colorist men are LVM, and they typically date lighter skin black women/women because they think we’re “more submissive”. There are videos floating around of several black man admitting this. They see us as doormats. I believe another reason is that they see being with white women in particular as a status thing.. but as a woman, do you want to be in a relationship with a man that is using you to ostens…

Never make a decision that involves a man if you wouldn’t do it single. For example, if my partner moved to Seattle I would be willing to move there, because it’s a cool city and something I could see myself doing as a single woman. I also wouldn’t feel bad if we broke up in that situation, because it was a choice authentic to myself. On the other hand, if my partner moved to Mobile Alabama, I would absolutely not go after him. I have no interest in living in Alabama, and I’m not going to comple…

Yea unfortunately I’ve found that tattoos are LVM magnets, well done or not. LVM can’t differentiate in their simple minds. I’m pretty sure there is a whole rule about targeting women with tattoos because of their low self esteem on TRP. They are ALWAYS drawing conclusions based on appearance that don’t make sense. From the way your hair is cut, to your makeup or lack of it, etc Just something to watch out for and another reason to vet thoroughly.

All you have to do is listen to your gut. I believe there’s a level of physical contact pretty much every woman is uncomfortable with on a first date, but instead of listening to their feminine intuition they brush it off as “oh, he just realllly likes me.” Anything that feels excessive, inappropriate or over-familiar is a red flag.

Yea I don’t know why I’m only just making the connection with this post, but the biggest fbois I dated took me out for coffee. Only 1 of them paid. With another one, I arranged the date location because he was “new in town”. Of course not all of the real dates I went on lead to relationships, but all of the low-effort ones amounted to nothing good. Therefore I will never, ever, ever go on another walk, hike or coffee date with a man I don’t know.

Big yikes. I feel so sorry for that child if this is true. He did the right thing by trying to end things when he realized they didn’t want the same out of life. The fact they were together for 3 years with no pregnancies tells me that she was on some form of BC, and then likely went off it without telling him. No matter how you look at it, that’s wrong. Tbh this doesn’t seen real though, it sounds like a made up scenario in order to make women look bad and stir up the incels on Reddit.

All this. Time to re-read the handbook, sis. No way you should be 7 months deep with a 42 year old man that can’t even call you his girlfriend. A man that values you would neveerr let you sit in a “gray area” for 7 months, he’s just not that into you..

She’s in college, she’s probably like 20. Most of us were peak pick-me around that age. I feel like the disgust/frustration is misdirected here.. we can help women discover their self worth and introduce them to FDS without insulting them. These concepts aren’t easy to digest immediately, especially after growing up in a society that encourages us to accept the bare-minimum from men.

I wouldn’t personally write him off. If you like switching up your hair/makeup/outfits, it’s nice that he notices the effort. I don’t think it would hurt to exchange a few more messages just to see what he’s about.

Sounds like he did the work to stop the cycle, which is why I pointed out that there is a difference between men who are aware and learning vs. completely oblivious to how their upbringing can affect their relationships. Agree that’s why I didn’t bring it up in my post. I think it is best to evaluate his family dynamic as a whole. While there can definitely be a correlation, a man can adore his mom and still treat you bad. Maybe he only treats her well because there are no boundaries, and she still babies him. So when you set up boundaries and expect him to be a man, he’s going to be uncomfortable.

I think you’re being overly cautious.. he could have spent his 20’s building a foundation before seriously dating, or maybe he’s a bad judge of character (we have all been there.. hence the existence of this sub), or maybe it took him some time to really figure out what is important to him in a partner. Exactly, this is sweet in theory and a man should ALWAYS adore his woman. However, a woman’s self esteem should never be dependent on outside sources, even her husband. Positive or negative. Women go through so much, childbirth does a number on our bodies and if cosmetic surgeries give us a boost of confidence we shouldn’t feel bad about that!

This breaks my heart. Babe you’re not a Pickmeisha, you’re in a highly toxic and abusive relationship. I am so sorry that he has backed you into a corner that has made it nearly impossible for you to leave. It’s obviously something that bothered her- not every girl wants a guy that’s working nights, 60 hour weeks, etc and that’s ok! That’s her standard. This isn’t relevant information in the early stages of dating. I would only disclose this information after you guys have an established connection and have properly vetted him. I would bring it up once you get to the point where you see commitment on the horizon, and you both begin opening up about all of those things in your past that make you who you are today (while the marriage itself might not a big deal, it says something about the relationship with your parents which is the larger issue …

You are so smart to have scoped that out early! I found my ex’s subscription list on YouTube, which included a Red Pill account with popular videos such as, “how to read and manipulate people”, “how to lie, and “how to become an alpha”. I actually confronted him about it, and his defense was that he was in sales. Unlike you, I bought it. By the end of the night he insisted on coming to my place- I refused to let him into my apartment and we just ended up on my rooftop until he finally realized he wasn’t getting laid and left. I only see it as an issue if it’s a pattern. If he has a history of multiple 3+ year relationships, I’m going to assume that he is not a marriage-minded guy or he doesn’t know what we wants.

After a certain point he should be pursuing you hard. I’d say after 4-6 dates he is going to know if he wants to commit to you. You should be his only focus around that time.

Gross. I know how difficult it is to leave a relationship when you’re X years deep and so interconnected, but this is the point that you decide whether you’re really a HVW worthy of a HVM, or not. I always feel so bad for the gf when I can feel her boyfriend checking me out. Yea, he may naturally WANT to look, but if he respected you then he wouldn’t. It’s one thing to do it on a guy’s night out, but in your presence? Dump him. It’s only going to get worse from here.

The ideal route for you will be a divorce. You haven’t been married long and thank god there aren’t kids in this situation. I understand divorce isn’t an easy choice. If you really want to give him another chance to get his shit together, you need to separate. Move out. If he cares about you that will be a shock to his system. See if he is willing to put forth a consistent effort to repair your marriage. If he is still showing you low value behavior (which will most likely be the case) divorce h…

Whatever works for their relationship I guess. It sounds like they’re both happy with this arrangement. Personally, I’m not doing any sexual favors I don’t feel like even if there is a monetary incentive. Especially for my husband- I’d feel so gross if he was dangling $200 in my face for anal. Maybe if he used that money to do sweet, romantic things for her she’d feel more inclined to do sexual favors for him. I wouldn’t want to be in a marriage that is transactional.

Don’t give too much in a relationship, period. Whether you’re dating, engaged, married. Your husband can take you for granted and treat you like shit just like a boyfriend. I’m generally of the belief you shouldn’t play mommy to your boyfriend, which it sounds like you have a tendency to do. If a man is taking care of you financially 100%, then, sure, you can do his laundry. You shouldn’t be doing unpaid labor. While acts of service may be your love language, you should always ask yourself what …

This is why it is so important to have rock-solid self esteem before getting involved with men. You should NEVER feel driven to starve yourself for the approval of a man. The healthy response would have been to dump his porn-sick ass.

Exactly, that’s why you have to open up the conversation about their upbringing. You most likely want to find a man that had a healthy childhood with a SAHM. Men with single moms and moms that overextended themselves because of their lazy, misogynistic husbands will automatically have the expectation that YOU will pull off the workhorse role, too.

I think the biggest factor is finding a man that has the ability to provide for you 100%, and someone that understands the value of a stay at home mom. I agree that after marriage you guys will essentially “share” your earnings if you’re both working, logistically that just makes the most sense. You will make decisions about how your money will be spent/saved together. However, once you stop working to be a SAHM then the financial responsibility is going to fall on him. Sometimes you outgrow your partner, and that’s what it sounds like in this situation. You said you’re 30, which probably means you are ready for the next phase of your life. You have to think about how much longer you’re willing to wait for him to improve his situation. If he can barely support himself, you have to ask how he will be able to support a family. Do you want to be pressured to go back to work with a 3 month old just to pay the bills? These issues are only going to mount. I would giv…

Agree, being a pick-me isn’t about being genuinely in love with men. It’s all about ego, men and women have their own ways of serving the ego. Men through sex, women through keeping a man around.

Sex IS validation to men. If a man can’t get a woman to have sex with him, he’s by definition sterile and won’t be able to carry out his genes. Women on the other hand seek out stability at all costs because theoretically if a man were to leave her with a child she would be very vulnerable and worse off (often times this is not the case in modern day because a lot of men have little to offer, but back in a time when men were the primary providers/protectors). This breeds pick-me behavior. It’s a…

Men are the original pick-me’s. They do everything for the validation and affection of women. They spend their lives chasing money, status and show off with things like cars and watches that cost a mortgage just to get our attention. MGTOW men fail to do this and have to go their own way.. not by choice but because they have failed to offer anything of value to a woman.

Posts like these seem increasingly common. I remember when BDSM was taboo. Since when did brutalizing your spouse for sexual pleasure become mainstream? It’s like they’re getting a pass for abuse because it’s ~kinky~. This is why you should never even open the door to this kind of sexual behavior, and run away from a man that gets off on your pain. They are insatiable and don’t have a limit, these men WILL keep crossing boundaries until they kill you!

Accepting a date with someone that begrudgingly asks you out for dinner after asking you to join him for a walk on the street is a desperate move IMO. He didn’t meet you with any enthusiasm after you declined his original date. His responses read as sarcastic, passive-aggressive, and they smelled like a shit test. For every 3-4 times he visits me I MIGHT visit him once, if my flight and accommodations are covered and it’s a city I’m interested in visiting. Traveling is exhausting, expensive and you probably end up taking off days from work. A high value woman doesn’t go through all of that for a man she’s just dating, because she will have options in her area. If he wants to see you, he’ll go out of his way to visit you in your city.

It’s small but it is important to you. We are allowed to have sexual dealbreakers. Personally I lose attraction to anyone that doesn’t give me adequate foreplay (oral is an essential part of foreplay for me). You shouldn’t have to beg for someone to sexually satisfy you, he should be asking questions and trying to get to know your body. I would make it clear one more time that oral is a big turn on for you, but I wouldn’t expect too much.. some guys are just selfish, lazy, not into it etc and I’…

Move on and find someone you’re attracted to. Being bulky and fit isn’t something this man authentically gravitates to at this point in his life. It would be shitty if a guy met you and told you that you needed to slim down in order for him to be attracted to you, and this is no different. Even worse if he said that with the expectation of you losing weight just to appease him. I hope you left it vague with something like “there wasn’t a spark there for me”.

I agree with this. Also, pay attention to how he treats you in general. Does he respect you? Is he condescending? Does he try to get to know you as a person, or do the conversations lean sexual? In general, if a man is fetishizing you in any way the answer to these questions are a no.

You left high school 2 years ago, can’t legally drink (assuming you’re in the US), and this guy has had time to get 2 degrees, buy a house and start a family. The fact that he is comfortable dating a 20 year old is a RED FLAG. I would advise you remove yourself from this situation, at your age I wouldn’t date anyone more than 4-5 years older.

7-8 months is nearly half your relationship girl! This is who he IS. Once you stop holding on to who you thought he was or driving yourself crazy because you think that you did something wrong.. you will see that you have no choice but to move on. Don’t waste any more time on someone so self-centered and careless.

Hon you can’t let these LVM bother you this much. If a man pulls away after you show interest, he wasn’t actually interested to begin with. Maybe he just wanted the validation. Maybe he’s still chatting with his ex. Maybe he’s too lazy and broke to pursue you in any real way. There are a bunch of reasons- but it’s not your job to decode them. Simply move on, eventually you will find a man that openly and happily accepts your warmth.

What do you mean by “showing interest”? If a man shows interest by going from 0 to 100, don’t be afraid to put the brakes on. You don’t have to be a passenger to their games. These types of men want one thing from you.

I like a lot of Shallon’s advice but I take all of it with a grain of salt. Her views on porn, sex work, etc don’t align with this subreddit. Her boyfriend forgot to make proper dinner reservations on Valentine’s Day and instead brought her to a strip club. She thought it was so great, but that relationship eventually ended because he cheated on her. However, she makes a good point about asking yourself, “other than this one thing, is my relationship perfect?” Because 10/10 times the answer is N…

If he wants to date you seriously, he will make that very clear. Right now he probably just sees you as someone to casually hook up with when you’re in the same city. If he suggests reconnecting (which he likely will), I would let him know that you are looking for a meaningful relationship and you just don’t see how that can work when his home base is another city. If he is interested in the same thing, he will lead the discussion about how a relationship would realistically work moving forward.

For me personally it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker as long as he knows how to use his hands and mouth like an expert. I also think passion, chemistry and enthusiasm go a long way. I think it’s still possible to have a fulfilling sex life. There’s a lot that goes into great sex besides size. However, I’m someone that can’t get off from penetration alone anyways.
