I wore my hair exactly like this, except my hair is naturally curly, so it was curlier than hers: http://www.oncewed.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/wedding-barrette-ideas2.jpg

She will not be back to her normal self when she gives birth. She will be a hormonal roller coaster for a while, until her body stabilizes again. But I agree, this guy did the exact opposite of maintaining frame. Absolutely pathetic.

Seriously? That was such a sweet and thoughtful thing for him to do!! Ungrateful brats... Feminists are seriously looking for things to be upset about.

I have been here a short time and I do not know /u/FleetingWish, however I wish her all the best. She will be in my thoughts. I hope that the tests come back with good results, and from what you have written, it seems like she is a strong person. I wish her a quick recovery!

Good point about tailoring. I always seem to forget that I can have a piece adjusted if it doesn't fit perfectly.

This depends on the man, I think. If he is the type that likes lists, I say go for it. But keep it just information. My husband is one who likes lists, so he will occasionally ask me to make a list so we can work more efficiently.

I would just say to stop that behavior and cultivate other traits that increase your femininity. Dress better, master the kitchen, etc.

I don't really consider myself a feminist. These are my beliefs: I am pro legal equality. Equality, not women get special treatment for having vaginae. I do think we should be able to vote, run for office, etc. We should not have special treatment because of our vaginae. I am pro-choice. I am not a fan of body shaming, it is ineffective and rude. I am also RPW, so while many of my beliefs overlap with feminism, I do not consider myself a feminist.

The other option is to get them while they are very young, but OP is past that stage. I snagged my husband when he was 15.

He is 17, and has a penis. Unless he knows somebody, he isn't getting into any club until he's 18, and even then, his options will be very limited.

I do have several good slow cooker recipes. Italian sausage pasta, southwestern chicken chili, regular chili, beef stew, pulled pork, etc. I will just need to expand on them to make it work. My husband is a big fan of hearty foods, and slow cooker meals tend to fit the bill. I also totally forgot about freezer cooking! For a while I would prep meat, chop vegetables, add seasoning, etc and throw it in a gallon freezer bag. Then I'd just dump it in the crock pot when I was ready. i need to start d…

The job is dealing with payments and billing issues for a company. The headset has to be wired, but since the phone rings, I definitely could do some other activities in between calls, depending on call volume. Good point on assigning a task to each day. I generally end up cleaning everything, daily, because I don't really know what else to do. It drives me nuts! Kitchen cleaning, sweeping, mopping and laundry are daily tasks that will have to stay daily for now. We have to furry dogs that shed …

I make my own laundry detergent using Borax, Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda and Fels Naptha. I wash all of my clothing, my son's clothing and my husband's nice clothing with cold water on the gentle cycle. I line dry delicates and put my husband and my son's regular clothing in the dryer on the permanent press setting, medium heat. I use dryer sheets right now, I actually like the lavender Walmart brand sheets, but I want to try dryer balls because they are supposed to cut down on drying time…

If it hasn't been working, try the Cetaphil out. I forgot to mention spot treating at night. You'll want to spot treat any pimples either before or after you apply your moisturizer. I like the Clean N Clear Advanced Spot Treatment.

You should head to /r/skincareaddiction they have TONS of info on this. But, the basic tenets are as follows: *Cleanse your face, especially before bed. never go to bed with makeup on. *Chemically exfoliate. I use Stridex in the red box for this. It dissolves the "glue" that holds dead skin onto your face without causing micro wounds like scrubs do. *Moisturize twice daily. *Wear sunscreen like it's your job. Combine this with wearing sunglasses with UV protection and wide brim hats for the beac…

Hm, this is a good point. But even if the child gets good genes from a high quality sperm donor, his or her upbringing has a good chance of being subpar thanks to this woman's frame of mind.

No, my parents did not divorce. Instead, I got to know that my father was cheating and my mother would remain blind to it, despite the views on adultery which she had always taught me. My parents were and are married, home was and is still broken. Divorce does not need to occur for a marriage to be broken.

I can understand not wanting to get married, to some degree. But please don't intentionally become a single mom. Single motherhood isn't good for anyone, she needs to talk to some single moms.

Exactly. If people are going apart instead of together, isn't that something that you would want to help bring back? Marriages fall apart so easily nowadays because we live in a throwaway culture. Instead of working on something to fix it, just throw it away! If she does go through with this, her child will miss out. My husband's father was a crack head who was never around when my husband was growing up. I would love for this woman to try to tell my husband that a father isn't all that importan…

I am 21 as well. The same age as she is, I don't consider her age an excuse for living in la la land. My main issue is that she seems to be traumatized by having to meet her parents new partners and whatnot. Does she intend on never dating? Because if she does date, how is that any different? Or is she just going to ride the cock carousel while trying to be a single mom? Because that is certainly not a better example to set.

Yeah this is silly. Though, I don't appreciate certain forms of getting hit on. If you're going to hit on me, do not follow me around. Do not call me names if I refuse to acknowledge that you "like my big juicy ass." Do not touch me. Otherwise, it's fine and somewhat flattering.

Would this potentially cause issues with taxes, power of attorney if one of you is severely injured or sick, etc? Also, if a woman wants to take her husband's last name without going through the modern avenues of marriage, can she still do so? I know I was required to provide a marriage certificate when I took my husband's name, and from what I have heard, name changes without a "legitimate" reason are pretty hard to obtain.

It isn't easy, but being in business for yourself must feel very good. Knowing everything you have is because YOU did it, and not because it was handed to you must feel very good for a man. I have seen women who are liabilities to their husband's business, and I have to wonder why those men even bother with those women. For example, someone on the crew my husband is on has an insane wife. Their home is a wreck, their children lack discipline entirely, there is never a meal cooked from scratch, a…

This is basically what is being done right now. We don't have much money. I do what I can with respect to that by couponing, making what I can (I make our laundry detergent, fabric softener, etc,) cooking from scratch, etc. I have a side "hustle" but I've been slacking there and need to get back to it.

There is no 100% perfect match for anyone. I do think there are people who are just drawn to each other, but I don't know whether or not that can be cultivated. The husbands and wives of arranged marriages in India seem to think so: "These young people who barely met each other do fall in love at some point," she said. "They've got a partner who is from their social background, same general level of intelligence and education, deep famil-*y connections, the kind of things that create a stable ma…

Lol. Ridiculous. A cousin of mine posted a response to the spreadsheet from mic.com I tried to explain to her that marriages are about balance. There is give and take in every issue, and compromise. I told her that yeah, sometimes, you're not going to be in the mood. But sometimes, you should take one for the team, and more often than not, once you start you'll be like "why wasn't I in the mood??" Her best response was that nobody owes their spouse sex. Oh I know he's not a narcissist. If he were like my father, things would turn into "you suck, you're a waste of life." As far as lunch, we discussed it, and he says he would prefer to have leftovers sent with him. I brought up the microwave issue and he said he is fine with eating it cold or letting it warm in the sun (he works outdoors and the sun right now is crazy!) So, I guess that's what we'll try. He'll be going with shepherd's pie tomorrow.

Paleo made me so sick. I did it for months and ended up foggy all the time. My husband also hated it. I cook mostly whole foods and am trying to focus on portion sizes in particular. I tend to just stuff food in quickly because I'm on the go, which usually means I end up mindlessly eating too much. it doesn't help to eat whole foods if your portions are twice as large as they should be! I love ModCloth, I have to watch for sales on my favorite pieces. Or save up my money from my side income to b…

and heavy makeup is not his thing, or rather makeup that looks heavy. I love makeup and am pretty good at applying it. My hair kind of does itself, it's curly, so I just make sure to keep the ends trimmed, the layers in check and I have a good regimen that keeps my curls soft.

I get depressed as well, though my depression manifests in different ways. Sometimes I'll be distant and just sink into myself, other times I end up loading myself up with tasks to make up for lacking in this department. It has improved since I went low contact with my father. I basically do not talk to or see him unless he is with my mother, and I moved away to another city to make this easier. I did some of this when I was first starting treatment for my anxiety, but I started slacking. It's so hard!! One of the things that I did was in the shower, I would try to notice every feeling like temperature, the way the water droplets hit me, the pressure of the water, etc. I would lose focus like every five seconds.
