How do you all convince yourselves you're not sexist? I'm impressed by the denial.

You're enclosing yourself inside one idea. The reasons why only you know, and it's up to you to discover what dragged you into them. The most important thing is that you feel sad about what you're doing, which is rarely good. I ask you to consider that there are more possibilities.

Your famous article has been debated here for as long as I can remember. Among other things, it says women still message those men they supposedly find below average.

I can't say I agree from my experiences. I guess it depends on each one of our experiences and personalities what the answer will be. As always.

Except surprise! People not only have sex to create offspring. Even more now with contraceptives.

Translation: I feel too insecure about my dick size, specially because I believe in racial stereotypes. I justify it with a racist and misogynist speech, but try to make it sound rational. I fail horribly.

If I did marry, it'd probably be because I wanted to make my partner a legal resident where I live, if we lived in different countries (and I'm not even sure you need to get married for this anymore). he particularly wanted it as a celebration of our love.

It's a very thin line between Last Minute Resistance and rape. I disapprove of having sex with someone who doesn't visibly let you know they desire it. I remember the case of a guy who took a girl to his apartment where he had no signal, and when she said no he "jokingly" reminded her she had promised, and she ended up accusing him of rape. How do you solve a case like that? Even if the guy "hadn't meant to", he pushed more than he should and put her in an uncomfortable place, she felt too scare…

My advice, take it or leave it, is stay away from it until you get back on your feet. You can't decide without a clear mind. Talking to someone you trust would probably help you, too.

Maybe you need to work on those things that are making you anxious. If you ignore them they tend to creep into other parts of your life, like your sleep schedule.

There's a difference with saying "what you can do" and "what you have to do". Any loving action that comes from nothing else than just wanting to, I don't see anything wrong with. What I see wrong is telling a woman (or well, man) she can't find a partner if she doesn't treat him like a newborn with a fragile ego. Also, it's stupid to think just because you follow a list, someone will fall in love with you immediately. If it were so easy we wouldn't have so many hearts broken.

I think the woman or man should, so there's a record. If another woman/man acuses the same person, and another, and another, it's gonna end up getting attention. It's horrible that it has to come to that point, but I think going silent is doing the rapist too big of a favor. It's not surprising, thanks to all the victim blaming and stereotypes there are, and how scared and guilty the victim usually feels.

Great friends, though, it's not the same as having a relationship. I have good friends older than me; in my years in college I was friends with anyone of any age. A relationship it's another story, and a lot more complicated.

Read the end of my comment. Experience doesn't mean shit. Except it does. Opinions are free and easy, you can be very smart and young, and some teens are more mature than some adults. But some things you don't know until you live them. There are things that come with age only.

How did you get over that, and also how did you prevent yourself from using RP logic, or even filtering it through "watch women do, not what they say"? Do you think this hasn't happened to women a million times, too? Tale as old as time. You move on. Hate them for a while, which helps you heal. Forgive them and yourself when you're capable of thinking about it without crying like a banshee. Notice the mistakes you made and the mistakes they made. Try again with someone new. Life goes on, you let…

See, if it's consensual, no coercion or need of any kind, +18, nobody has a right to forbid it to you. But it's unavoidable to question the intentions of the older person. Why? Because when you're 18 you're still a kid. You barely made it out of high school, usually have no idea what life and responsibilities are, your worries are still on the basic side of things. You might be smart, but not street smart. I would wonder, then, why a man who's 50 years old doesn't get bored with someone with a l…

Why do you think in female erotica and romance novels the hero almost always has some "dark past"and he gets "healed" by the woman after opening up? If women don't care about men's feelings why is this so common in romance novels that target the female audience ? This is some shit I used to read on teenagey love stories. It's for a reason its main audience are teenagers: you're barely starting to experience life and love. You like cliches. You get obsessed with things and call Twilight a masterp…

Yeah, I read it, but I honestly have no idea why he related it to feminism. I've never read a feminist say "my husband needs to accept if I have sex with other men against his will". Poly is decidedly not the same. If anything, it sounds like he's trying to find an excuse to make it okay.

There is a part of the RedPill I don't dislike. The problem is it could exist on its own without all the surrounding bullshit. The truth isn't as white as you say it is; there's a lot of hate of women, whether RedPillers admit it or not. If he had come to me, I would have talked to a professional. See? Hiding under a lot of fancy words. What you do is more on the lines of describing what YOU think women are like, generalizing the whole gender based solely on it, and claiming your strategies are amoral while apologizing rape on the back. Nope, not buying it.

My advice is don't do it in a place where she feels potential danger. Public places with people are fine, though I'd say it's easier if the place you're at invites to socialization (ex. college); whether it bothers her or not, the major problem is feeling threatened. So avoid empty places/places with a bad vibe dark streets at night getting too close for comfort any starting lines similar to "hey babe" or "hi gurl" My other advice is don't be desperate, pushy, or an asshole and try to be as hone…

Elliott had multiple diagnosed mental illnesses, all of them without treatment. It's a bad example to chose, to be honest, and a difficult case. One of the problems, among many others, that Elliott had was finding the wrong community at the wrong time. PUA in this case. Perhaps reading an anti-PUA would have helped him a bit, who knows. (And it probably bugs RedPillers to death to know he was rich and "handsome", yet his luck with women was zero.)

I told you what I see and feel, gave you a chance to ask what you wanted. Attraction and sexuality for women is a lot more complex than what RedPill attempts to paint. If so, why do you always dread? Why do you need to remind your partner in a perfectly fine relationship that you can leave anytime? I call that manipulation and insecurity. I don't know what kind of shitty erotica you read, or what you understand about our sexuality. The erotica that turns me on rarely mentions anything about ocupation (who cares?), the men in it are usually gay, and the little amount of heterosexual ones I like is a mix of femdom, maledom and normal sex. If you're so interested in it, I can send you some of the erotica that turns me on. Maybe you can add it to your Chad fantasies.

It's not the same watching a fictional movie than interacting with men who actively encourage you, and perhaps give you that last push you needed. One of the most dangerous things in RedPill, besides the fact that it isolates itself from counterarguments, is that it rationalizes a lot of the things before mentioned. It makes misogyny and marital rape sound "logical" and "to be expected". As I said, I don't think every RedPiller is or will become a rapist/killer, but ideas can be a lot more dange…

The ideas have a potential to be dangerous, specially if someone already on the psycopath side reads them. It contains a lot of rape apologies and dehumanizes women to a level in which it's fine to murder them "for justice". I'm not saying every RedPiller will become a rapist or a killer, but a lot of the content shared supports both. If the wrong person stumbles upon it, it could contribte and end in disaster.

Most decisions you make in life(not all) especially those that deal with companions will deal with your emotions not with your logical thoughts Again, those two (emotions and rationality) are not independent. They work together in our brain, and though it's true our emotions still beat our reason on certain situations, it doesn't mean we only act based on emotions. In fact, the part of the brain associated with rationality (frontal lobe) is believed to be fully developed in adults of both gender…

I admit a big part of it comes from having met and talked to prostitutes and their children. I've heard and seen a lot of stories so terrible they leave an impression on you for weeks. I know it's a possibility. I have friends who have a lot of money, and I've witnessed fake people casually befriending them to ask them for money "for charity" and others trying to scam them/threaten them. They're merely abstractions, shortcuts we use to discuss complex ideas. Sounds fancy. Complex ideas such as having sex with women? I had this discussion with a RedPiller before. Actually, following your logic and if we take into account women have a higher risk and suffer more health damage when it comes to STDs/STIs, it would be more understandable they wouldn't want a male partner with a high number of previous partners. This for the simple reason that it would increase the risk of said men having caught something and passing it to them. It's not that men have a lessened chance of getting an STD, it's simply that some dis…

RP guys have generally been or at least feeling been hurt or misled by society. To fully change their outlook, they have to objectify women. If they don't, they fear that they might go back to being complacent and passive. Sure, it's politically incorrect, but it helps shield them from pain. Sounds like an immature strategy if you ask me. Maybe if you're 18 and confused about your identity and your parents. But I don't think you can justify bitterness and misogyny with "society hurt me" once you…

Well, "whatever he wants" is more of a decide where to go with the relationship based on your standards. The way to find out is a bit twisted, but since you're not truly harming the girl by asking that, whatever. In my opinion, if a guy wants to spin plates, he should be able to do so without ridicule. Sure, but why the need to call it "spinning plates"? Just say "I like to have casual sex with women". Plates itself is a word used to make women become objects. You're not human, you're a plate, a piece of meat, a hamster. See it? When you strip it down and take away all the manipulative elements, RP isn't so bad. When you strip down and take away all the manipulative elements (+misogyny), RP isn't RP anym…

OP purposefully made this exaggerated. The OP was asking if the person learned all these things from a guide book of some sort and his actions were based on this book, how would you feel? You paint it very ideally. I don't believe one simply "becomes" something. We're not liquid, and neither is our personality. We don't chose most of it, I think. There are things that we can improve, and people do change certain things over time if they want to - but there are root things about our personality that go beyond what we want. I like a quote by Tolstoi that says “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” I think this can apply to relationships too. I'm aware is not as "obvious" as it should be, and there are things only experience teaches you. I'm also aware there is a dose of negotiation in a relationship. The next one seems like a mod discussing with a user for what I agree could have been offensive. The comment wasn't even deleted or the user banned, so I have no idea how this represents SJW. But even after all, what RedPill describes as "SJW" I find to be just human beings with a certain moral, who generally mean well to others, and who don't doubt when defending it.

BPillers mock Redpill's ideas not because they're made by men, but because they're terrible. It also mocks RedPill Women, as you can see. The only moral of the story here is that very attractive people win at life. Depends on what you consider "win". Does she love the man she's about to marry? Does he love her back? Words such as "settle" and "lock down" don't sound a lot like love.

That's the problem, though. I guess we disagree in base concepts, and that's why I believe it's contradictive. Since you're giving complete power to someone over your life, even if it affects your own likings and well-being, what I read from it is you don't really feel capable of deciding as well as a man would do, or your decisions will not be as good as your partner's (sort of like a child that has to be taken care of? very common idea in RP). You do know that in your distant ancestral past, there were probably several child brides and a few rapes, right? In my distant past, people were also tortured for not agreeing with religion, gays were chemically castrated, black people were sold as slaves, and women were only housewives. I'm aware of my distant past, but it's the past, not the present. And people didn't live a lot past 40 years, so it was natural (albeit still creepy in my eyes) 15 years old kids would marry and have kids. I do…

When I call someone insecure, I don't do it to insult them. It comes from an observation of what I can see or read and I don't assume I know everything about this person in particular. And it rarely to never happens because someone has a hook up and wild sex. Science says yes. However, and as usual, nothing applies to every man and every woman. In my case I've met men who had a sex drive similar to mine, men who had a higher sex drive, and men with lower sex drives. The three cases have been common. In case you're interested, I've read men have their own cycle as well, and thus their sex drive changes depending on what part of the cycle they're at.

I know this is frightening, but not everything has been studied. A lot of what we know about the world is lived, through experience. Humans are animals We understand little to nothing about animals. Even animals, thought to behave inscintively only, show behaviors that go against evolution. Example, altruism. If that was what we were hard-wired to do, we wouldn't have progressed so much as a society. "Being animals" is no excuse.

Exactly my question. I say it's because they both recognize that the other brings something to the table that they feel they need, but you disagree with that. I don't disagree this exists, but I disagree about it being the reason they stay together. Does it matter? You don't need to have the answer to those questions to know that something exists. It's not most, it's some. The difference is other possibilities are overlooked. TRP is very guilty of this - only dominance and jackhammering turn a woman on. Well, bad news. Sexual arousal varies from woman to woman, and it can't be applied to all. And even those women who are submissive, are submissive in different ways. I find your (TRP's) analysis of feminine sexuality very poor and lacking.

It makes sense, specially in these kind of hostile environments. It seems it's a constant "I'm right and you're wrong" thing; I admit guilty of it too. Well, I believe there's a simple thing called love. Warning: kinda NSFW. Rape fantasy is fantasizing of being forced by someone into sex "against your will". However, people always imagine being forced implies rough beating and senseless fucking or similar. I don't think this is always the case. I take this simply out from erotica webpages. Consent is what makes rape into non-rape, but ravishment straddles a fine line. It's technically consenting, but in the sense that you wanted to be treated without your consent being taken into consideration. Or, it's consensual. Which rape isn't. A quality man for me is a good man. Someone mature with good intentions to others. Someone who takes responsibility over his actions and its consequences. What makes a good man? It's hard to define in words. It mostly has to do with the intention he lives life - whether it is selfishly trying to survive, or selflessly trying to enjoy it. How worried he is about others, how much he does for others and himself. A quality man is a man who has boundaries and experience - albeit not a lot if he's you…

RedPillers paint a reality, but reality is another. Nobody said it was easy and it's not easier for women. I don't think it's easier for men either. I feel peace when I stop making unnecessary differences between the genders, and I'm only hoping everyone else would as well.

No. However, I don't believe male and female capacities are so far off. What I don't approve of, and I believe was probably the reason such a law started existing, was the evident male dominance with no explanation. It's unhealthy but we do it. We have to accept internet as an every day part of the life of many teenagers/adults, not to say most. This is why, of course, when evaluating anecdotes, there is little room for reasoned comparison. I agree with you in that. I was sharing my own anecdote. It's hard, isn't it? The thought of facing life on your own. It has a strong influence, but not every religious person I know comes from a patriarchal home or believes in it. Why would you want to make the "youngsters" not to have "premarital" sex? Why would you want to control them? Let the "youngsters" be, decide, and enjoy. Teach them how to use a condom and to be responsible if they have sex, you can't control their decisions and actions. And "premarital" sex, when a lot of people don't even want to marry anymore, is a ridiculous concept.

Love is a strong feeling. I do believe out of the many types of love, the romantic love you are refering to is a bit out of this world. Some women do abuse it, not all. Not most. Also, marriage rates decreasing doesn't mean men are the only ones who don't want to get married. Women nowadays don't want to get married either.

Funny, because as far as my understanding goes, the church disapproves of sex altogether unless it's both for procreation and unity (both!). In general, I believe Catholic church views on sex and relationships are very outdated and deep down view sex itself as something negative.

It depends on every situation, honestly. Some cheaters have wonderful relationships and still cheat. Others do it because of a real problem in the relationship. The first advice sounded alright. The second, just no. You can't expect someone to work, do the chores and take care of the kids while you play videogames. Where is your dignity as a human being? Not all marriages fail. I do find it troublesome when people put too many expectations on said marriage. I believe a couple is married before they get married, and they might chose to honor it with a ceremony or not.

The idea of marriage around here is a lot more negative than what I see in every day life. Most people I know marry because of love, not convenience. But well, a strong convenience for both that I've seen during my life plenty of times is when the couple lives in different countries. It is not necessary anymore, I think, but when you marry someone you're immediately granted legal citizenship where they live.

Have you ever thought about experimenting? I have. I have sometimes felt turned on by women, but I just like men too much. I don't see myself having a relationship with a woman. I wouldn't mind experimenting with one sexually, someday. I guess I tend to be more dominant/S, but I don't like extreme pain. Some rough things, if my partner enjoys them. "Our innate base instincts" is a very loose term used by RP to defend arguments. Where are our innate base instincts? What's the proof of their existence? And most importantly, where's the proof that it beats our rationality? By you, I meant RedPill. Someone who says that want a virgin is probably a virgin themselves. Someone with a low partner count provides better security if you're trying to pass your genes on. Wouldn't want to be cuckolded would you? Why would you be cuckolded? And, not necessarily. That someone likes having sex, doesn't imply they can't be exclusive in a monogamous relationship. Older, by a maximum of 3 years. After that, it decreases severely the older the man is. +10 years of difference is less than 5% of women. Most women prefer men closer to their own age, and your own statistic proves it. 52% is a tricky number that you made adding, but that doesn't take on account what you consider "close to their own age". So if we said "close to their own age" is no more than 5 years difference (agreed?), it's a total of 76,7% percent of women who marry men close to their own age. If you consider "close to their own age" less that that, say, 3 years, it's still a 60% of couples. You can say women marrying men olde…

People with certain personality disorders, such as BDP, tend to have a promiscuous lifestyle. Does that stop them from self-harming or harming others? 1) There are some biological differences, but they're less than thought. Behaviorally, it varies a lot from culture to culture. Probably some people do, but I've found what moves most if not all relationships is simply love. A lot of people stick through thick and thin together when there's no benefit at all for e…

It's usually said against redpill specifically. I don't think bluepillers in general would insult a guy just because he's a virgin. But again, I don't know every bluepiller. "Have ever of these guys ever been with a woman?" isn't truly an insult. You feel like it is because you are insecure about your virgin condition. I have honestly questioned myself if a lot of RP guys have ever been with a woman after some of the comments made about women... but my boyfriend is a virgin. shrugs

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR WOMEN TO NEED SEX AS MUCH AS MEN. NO. PLEASE DROP THIS RIDICULOUS CONCEPT It isn't. Seriously. The different methods between men and women can be explained by gender roles. That's exactly what the second line of the article I quoted says. I provided the link, and it wasn't from Wikipedia. Men tend to use more effective methods like guns while women tend to use less effective methods like pills. Why? Could it be because different suicidal behaviors are expected of females and males, and these divergent expectations may affect the scenarios chosen by females and males, once suicide becomes …

It doesn't deny what you claim, but it goes beyond that. Wikipedia uses articles from trustworthy sources, with rare exceptions. I could just go to the bottom of the page and quote those instead. This is interesting, but the article doesn't mention anything about the sample used for it. Amount, where were they from, age, content of messages... important facts. Is this a bad thing? It is. "According to literature on gender and suicide, male suicide rates are explained in terms of traditional gender roles. Male gender roles tend to emphasize greater levels of strength, independence, and risk-taking behavior. Reinforcement of this gender role often prevents males from seeking help for suicidal feelings and depression."

I date a Catholic. Sex drives are different from women to women, and from men to men too. It's not bad that a couple has regular sex - what I think is bad is the way you voice it, from negativity. We're not at all on the same team in gender politics. Mm, not really. Just because redpill isn't it doesn't mean men and women are killing each other in the streets. I would say quite the opposite. I also didn't put a context in my comment and didn't mention "government and stuff" at all.

It's just funny the image you have of us. Do you believe all women are celebrity-level beautiful and spend their days rejecting men? I'm sitting here still in my pajamas, reheated food from last night, and my hair in its wildest state thinking that's kinda hilarious.

No, I don't think we are adversaries. Though different, we share many similarities. When we work as a team, we save the human race. I believe roles are not static, but were and are constantly reassigned by the changes in the society, and that is evidenced by history. We adapt - both men and women, and that's what made us survive. Things that were unacceptable 100 years ago, today are normal. Who knows what will be acceptable 100 years from now? I believe it's not necessary to fight. It's not nec…

There are rational reasons to love men. We bring a lot to the table and have a lot of upsides and not many downsides. (...) There are no good arguments for why men suck so there was no reason for us to be conditioned against them and so we let crazies talk.

In the way he describes women you can say he's evidently angry. I could say no rational person could agree every woman is a piece of shit and every man is close to perfection, am I right? In that case, I'd say in 2015 men have it just as easy, if what they're looking for is low quality sex. I don't know how you picture it, honestly, but sex doesn't rain on us. It does happen at bars, but that is generally where people go to get laid. I see a loooot of men and women leaving together, without the need of looking like a superstar. Casual sex nowadays is easy. I agree women still make the first approach less often, but that's changing.

There's no skill or quality that a woman has to master (outside of being pretty) in order to get sex. They just open their legs and they're good to go. Yeah, no. Having sex with a dead body isn't enjoyable. I'm sure most men and women agree. Isn't "unlovable" always an inferred trait? You know Snape is a popular unlovable male character, simply because he was unloved. Bullied, not one single relationship in his life, unloved by his one love. If after I tell you this, you still try to make it somehow wrong so that it fits with your original idea, it goes beyond me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/15 01:33 PM

Snape was pretty unlovable. Nobody in his whole life loved him and he desperately pinned for a single woman since he was a child. I see him all over /foreveralone. And he's still one of the most loved characters of Harry Potter. Pls.

It depends on the partner. Today, 2015, it's not difficult to find someone who accepts any amount of partners, both for men and women. Some people though prefer being conservative. As long as there's no shaming or prohibition involved, I believe that's alright.

Severus Snape? One of the most loved characters of Harry Potter, lonely man forever. Why trying so hard to find the hate? Some people hate men unfairly as some people hate women, but not everyone is trying to.

You I mean redpill, not you. No amount of training will ever make her able to subdue three males that have 12" and 100 pounds on her. No giant man could subdue three men at once either. I'm going to ignore your unnecessary comment in the middle. Now, about what you said, I do agree women are (not always) smaller than men. If women think men shouldn't judge them based on their integrity, self-respect & loyalty If that's the way the man judges their integrity, then so be it. But I tell you, being a virgin doesn't guarantee you any of these, just as having had lots of sex doesn't. Basically sex, shut up and cook. No shared interests, no future planning, no supporting when needed, no similar ideas about life, not sharing responsibilities and working as a team. I think there's a lot more to a marriage and its dynamics than what's mentioned. A marriage isn't successful just because of sucking a cock or cooking a lasagna. It can be seen as dishonest just as it can be seen as a way to "make oneself attractive", but you aren't playing with anyone's emotions to try to control them. You don't make guys, with your mega boobs, feel insecure enough that they end up doing something out of desperation.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/15 01:29 AM

Manipulation can be defined in many ways. The official definition is "to control something or someone to your advantage, often unfairly or dishonestly". I'd say that applies very well to, for example, dread game.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/15 01:24 AM

As I said above, following logic, wanting to make yourself attractive isn't a bad thing. Now, telling a guy "I could fuck my ex anytime" would be another thing altogether.

I have no doubt there are. A lot aren't even close to trp. But in general, I believe the internet is a shitty place to ask for advice, even if I give it myself. Its only advantage is the tempting anonymity.

That's a matter of opinion. I trust my mom a lot more than my dad when I have to ask for advice, and he's 56. I do believe even if lacking the experience, my best friend, 30 years younger, is more mature than he is. But, how did we even get to this topic? You only defended holding frame. I disagree, but I want to know how you justify dread game and negging as not manipulating. You can put names to my theory if you like it.

I haven't met a lot or dated one, but probably because there isn't a large asian population in my country. I have found them attractive indeed, but never approached them. No, I'm not. I have found asian men that I liked, but it hasn't been common, since like I said the asian population here is quite low. I think you can't force someone to like someone else. As long as there is no shaming involved, as long as the law is respected and said people can still live peacefully and find another potentia…

I don't refer to the women who might or might not fall for it, but the intention itself is what sucks. The way of facing relationships, from a manipulative standpoint. I believe that's being a shitty person, or very lost in the concept of love.

Being confident is excellent, as I already said. I also explained the difference between that and dread game, negging, and "holding frame". Poor 50 years old men, then, because they must have learnt very little about love.

The name sounds great, standing up to one's ideas. What I've truly seen frame means, according to trp advice, is not giving two fucks about what a wife/girlfriend talks about (aka "shit tests"), specially when it's something that's troubling the relationship. You can actually see this below my comment.

Well, I never said making oneself more desirable was a bad thing. Where do I say that? What I'm talking about is manipulation to obtain sex. I see sex in the same way you do, a pleasurable activity, sometimes linked to love and sometimes not.

You can describe it that way, fine. I can say: Dread game --> making your partner feel insecure about you fucking other women if they don't do everything you want. Negging --> making someone feel insecure about themselves so they try hard to please you. Holding frame --> making someone feel insecure about revealing their feelings to you, therefore shutting up in the future. Spinning plates --> calling someone a "plate", or object. I agree, though, that this one doesn't necessarily involve manipu…

All those are called manipulation. What they try to do (at least they're honest about it) is manipulate women into having sex with them by exploiting their insecurities. That is tricking someone into sex, or manipulation. Whatever you wanna call it.

What I did claim was that the woman made an the conscious choice to have the child and the man didn't No, it was an accidental pregnancy. If she had lied to him or raped him, then I would justify it. But if it was accidental, sorry and welcome to fatherhood. The woman has like 90% of the responsibility In this I believe you are wrong. It was consensual sex, therefore, the responsibility is 50-50. That you share a extremely small part of the responsibility I disagree. As I told you, adults know that sex can end in pregnancy. If you decided to have sex, you also decide the risk of pregnancy was worth it. You need a man and a woman to create a life. I believe if it was truly accidental, and consensual sex, then yes the father should have a responsibility. And a child doesn't magically grow up. A child has needs. My point is, you decided to have sex, you were idiot enough not to use contrace…

I agree with that. However, it's a complicated issue. You can't force a woman to abort. And if it was an accident, both are responsible. He can't wash his hands off as if nothing, because it was consensual sex, and adults know sex can end in pregnancy. Abortion is not the norm, not even legal in many countries, and it holds many risks for a woman. If she had raped him or tricked him into it, then I believe he shouldn't have any responsibilities. But he willingly had sex, and that is when the res…

I think you exaggerate two things: The hate towards men. The love towards women. For once, women don't "have it easy". When we're sulking, nobody randomly hugs us, pats our shoulder and tell us "it'll be fine, you're a woman". We have the same struggles, fears, thoughts, dreams, and ambitions that you do. And we fight to get those. Until 100 years ago we couldn't vote or initiate a divorce, among many other things. TRP itself beats up men who don't fit into society's roles of masculinity. Those …

Casually, I was just reading that. He tells her the only way he would "allow" her to have a child is being a forever stay-home mom, she accidentally gets pregnant, ask what he wants to do and when he says abortion, she leaves. Probably to have the kid on her own. Where's the violation in that? She didn't rape him or force him to marry. Or manipulated him, or cheated on him, or lied to him. She was actually fully honest.

Or, you know. Find someone with a compatible sex drive (yes, they exist!). Stop using the need for sex as an excuse to cheat, because nobody dies out of lack of sex. Make use of your rational side, and find a balance. Take in consideration something more than the amount of sex per week or how "above average" someone is, and instead focus on who they are as a person.

If you're the target demographic of TRP, it will probably improve your life. TRP has some positive things, but that doesn't make the whole theory positive. Or, it could be because having a job represents a certain mental stability and maturity. No reasons are further explained in this statistic. Jumping to conclusions is easy, but it doesn't make it true.

I don't have anything to answer since what you wrote is only your opinion. It's not mentioned anywhere in the statistics you sent me. Of course I disagreee with it, as you can disagree with mine, but it doesn't go any further.

Marriage and gender roles are not directly and necessarily connected. Nowadays, women don't need your monetary support. Some women do want it. Like, ironically, Redpill Women. But we don't need it to survive per se, as it used to be. I think one of your sentences is wonderful: you should save for yourself and not to impress women. I just mentioned two ways in which extinguishing traditional roles would benefit men (less divorces, less suicides). Stay at home husbands are actually becoming a thing in developed countries, mostly european. I agree with you that it still needs a lot of improving, but I would be happy if in the future it did. I fully support it.

It says: Unemployed men themselves were more likely to initiate divorce — even if they reported being happy in their marriage — than guys with jobs. And then Employed women were more likely to initiate a divorce than women with jobs, but only when they were highly unsatisfied with the marriage. What it sounds like to me is that men still feel an obligation and pressure from traditional male roles, that leads them to feel ashamed of not having a job. I believe this is still true for some. It is, …

Success has so many definitions, that change depending on who's defining it. We should start by there, shouldn't we? TRP considers success having sex with as many women as possible without committing to any of them. My idea of success is very far from that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/15 02:37 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/15 02:28 AM

I agree with some of those things. Others are a bit exaggerated. We are biologically ruled by emotions, not rationality. Our emotions are a good and natural reaction to stimulus. Evidently, an adult needs a dose of rationality to live. But repressing said emotions, as traditional male roles tend to pretend, doesn't make said men stronger. It has been studied by Freud that the number one cause of mental illnesses was repression. It is also the main cause of suicide on male population.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/15 04:50 PM

However, someone with a strong body is almost always strong mentally. I do not agree with this. Though definitely related, your body is not always a sincere reflection of your mental stability. Not all "beautiful" women are self-confident, not all "handsome" men realize they're worth more than their body. And just the same, you can be considered ugly by social standards and still like yourself, lead a normal life, have a loving partner, etc. How many killers, rapists, thieves have very fit bodie…

I believe the mental strength is far stronger than physical one, and to exercise it, you have to accept your emotions. How to understand them if you start by denying? Of course it's great working to improve yourself! But again, you're using a fight context example. The hardest struggles life puts us through are not physical, but mental. It is a challenge to overcome them successfully. If you are mentally healthy, you will prevail. To be strong for me doesn't mean to always win a match with a bro…

The thing is we live such different lives. All of our experiences, that makes us who we are, defines us in a way or another. I'm not trying to convince the undecided audience, because life will on its own. I simply wonder, you are seemingly a logical person. Do you believe it's logic to place +3 billion women in the same category? Could that really work? No need to answer me, just answer what you want to yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/15 07:25 PM

What is wrong with me? I don't know, perhaps basic history knowledge? By law, women couldn't vote, couldn't own property, couldn't initiate a divorce, didn't have access to University (and if they did, they were discriminated), were limited to certain works, couldn't make decisions regarding pregnancy... I could go on. All of said things changed thanks to feminism.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/15 07:05 PM

Do I need to make an effort to change your view? No, not really. That is something you have to work for, if you truly want to. But you are free to believe what you want. Simply know your belief, just as mine, is not necessarily a fact. What is a studied fact, as I commented lower, is that traditional gender roles affect men in negative ways. You could check it, if you want to.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/15 07:02 PM

Evidently, they are few and far in between according to you because the people you surround yourself with is chosen by none other than yourself. If you chose said people only by how conventionally attractive they are, were you expecting something different? Deeper? Again, it is not possible to encase every woman on Earth in one category. It defies logic. But if you want to, nobody can stop you from trying.

So, isn't having sex as their only life expectation narrowing men down to sex-crazed addicts? Basically, men cannot live for anything else, like science or knowledge or love or passion? Sex, exclusively?

All men only live for sex? Men exist for sex only? Doesn't that put men in a terrible position?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/15 05:40 PM

What really matters, though, is that now the choice exists. Even if you're disapproved, you have a choice to work and you have a choice to stay at home. No law forces you to take either route, which is the most wonderful of feminism achievements.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/15 05:32 PM

The real problem comes for both, because it's a role that asks men not to have feelings. Those who fit, are unable to express themselves. Those who don't, feel bad for expressing themselves. As I have commented lower in this page, this has been studied to be one of the main factors of suicide in men.

Male gender roles tend to emphasize greater levels of strength, independence, and risk-taking behavior. Reinforcement of this gender role often prevents males from seeking help for suicidal fe…
