Sounds to me like the naughty girl needs her daddy to punish her, not to give her a stern lecture. Next time she does it, pull her into the other room and fuck her good. Make sure your friends can hear the banging of the headboard.

Main Event: The Knock Out Blow Well gents, it's over. I filed December 9th. I won't go into a slew of details because fuck you and they're boring. I finally grew enough balls to pull the trigger and haven't looked back. Been MIA from MRP for a little over a month, as I didn't want to run here for validation right away. Some highlights and thoughts: A constant thought that crosses my mind: Holy fucking shit, why did I wait so long? I am certainly doing better since the split. I'll find myself wal…

Problem with this is that if I did what you said because you said to, I would have been following your advice and not my own lead. I am the first to admit that I fucked up this last week, but learning and deciding for myself which advice to take and when is key. Why did I leave? cuz MRP told me to, or because I decided to? If it is the former then fuck it all.

Talk to an attorney, put a plan together for when the shit hits the fan. You are too afraid of the uncertainty of your marriage ending. I have an attorney on standby. He advised me to file before telling her as a legal precaution, that way there is a case file and record of assets incase she goes off the deep end. That is one of the reasons that I didn't say "I want a divorce" during the conversation; I hadn't filed yet and feared what she could do before I did. It is the logistics of days 1-7 t…

I can see 3-6 months out and know that shit would be better, but it is the first several days/weeks of unknowns that are the mental block. I need to suck it up and embrace the discomfort of discovery. Fucking shitty to spend the rest of my life depressed and in an unhappy situation because I can't force myself through 2 weeks (honestly probably less) of transition.

Overview 6ft, 185lb, 28 years old, good looks. Wife is 30. Married 7 years, together 8. No kids. No mortgage. Wife struggled with pretty intense sexual anxiety, dead bedroom for last ~2 years, plus lots of sexual issues since the start. Took the pill and started lifting October '15, hit target body fat summer '16. Wife's anxiety has been in check for ~2 months with help from therapy and meds. Damn, nice reading your back story. One major difference here is that we've never had the crazy fuck-fest, even at the beginning. I could relate to you talking about needing her. In my beta days I was like a sad puppy without her around, but I've become far less dependent on her, to the extent that I find her to be more of a drag than anything. She is basically a walking comfort test at this point. To a large extent, she always has been, but I'm far less interested in indulging her. She's far mo…

Comprehending is not internalizing Much truth here. I am about a year in as well and it has only been over the last month or so that I can say I'm truly internalizing the ideas and not just going through the motions. It has made all the difference for me. I don't know how to advise others on how to internalize it, other than putting in the work and reading/rereading and embracing the hardship of growth.

This analysis hits closer to home than most. As /u/persaeus pointed out, I have tried to seduce her, run keno, etc, with no effect. At this point I'm over it all, so even the thought of initiating just seems like a turn off for me. She seems content to go on playing house as is, perhaps allowing some duty sex that she may enjoy in a very reserved manor, but I don't see any sort of sex kitten awakening in her. I am quite tempted to go the /u/2gunsgetsome route. I could stick around and play catch…

If/when I get divorced, I am going to be incredibly picky about settling down. I'm thinking through how I would handle my current situation if we weren't married. First, I wouldn't be living with her. Second, my time and attention would be directly correlated to her value add and eagerness in the bedroom. So why would I hold my wife to a lower standard? Beats me.

Are you even aware of the single women out there who would kill their own cat to snag an in shape financially secure man who doesn't already have children? In theory, sure, but I haven't internalized it.
/r/MarriedRedPill29/11/16 08:53 PM

the fact that she is not initiating like her life depends on it is all you need to know. That's a good point. I'm still coming from the opposite of an abundance mentality and making too many excuses for her.

I'm definitely on the lookout for the duty fuck. I have no interest in a drip-feed of sex to keep me around. I gave some leeway this time since we're both a bit rusty, but I don't plan to settle for the current standard of mediocrity.

Damn... You haven't even gotten the email yet and you're already this worked up? I'd say AA/AM and move on, but that shit doesn't work if you're that lost in her frame. Take a good hard look at yourself here... What the fuck are you afraid of? What's she going to do? Throw you another shit test? You need an actual abundance menality. Until you realize that you don't need her, you'll be running your hamster around in her cage, afraid of emails with Facebook memes.

I'm learning that regardless of the shit that goes wrong, the only proper response is "Good." Rewiring my brain to sound like Jocko. Main Event Round 1 Had the first round of the main event on Sunday. Some highlights and analysis. she is sick, has been for several weeks straight, but decides she wants to make the best of it. Suggests we try fooling around later. we go to grocery store, get back, now she's wiped out, hamster mill starts turning up excuses. typical excuses, but throw in a new one: she is tired emotionally and physically, says she sometimes just wants to give up. That would have to be some real fucking good stir fry to put up with that shit. Sounds like you are early in your journey, but your situation contains some obvious abuse with an unstable woman. RP ain't going to fix that. I'd be consulting a lawyer.

Keeping you up all night for days on end could be considered abuse. Sleep deprivation is a form of torture. I may be rescinding my previous comment. What value does this woman add? Do you have kids?

Threatening divorce is the nuclear option, and the fact that you need our advice implies you don't have the frame to pull it off. Even if you had the frame... Divorce over this? Reads as fuax-alpha posturing covering up beta frame. What level dread are you at? Do you even lift, bro?

I read that recently but didn't identify with it. I'll read it again though. Edit: reread it, I could potentially see some parallels to that in our past (she used to say she is too fucked up for me on a regular basis), but less so post-mrp. Now her narrative is that I make her a better person, inspire her, etc. She still doesn't put out though.

She seems to have a whole walking wounded persona going on, and the thought of hurting her can shake your resolve and make you feel like you're kicking a hurt animal. But this rings somewhat to me of operating in a reality SHE has created. Yup. There are several stories on here that include a point where the divorce was imminent before things turned around. This may work as a temporary behavior modification technique, but I don't see it working advantageously in the long run. Not interested in g…

/r/MarriedRedPill04/11/16 08:39 PM

This is solid advice. Is there anything that I can change to improve the relationship? Not without pulling a lot of teeth (which means it's not in my control), or by slipping back into BP land (which is not an improvement). Do I expect anything in return? Not sure if you are asking whether I have covert contracts or if I have set positive boundaries (ie, sexless marriage means no marriage). I think I have killed all of my covert contracts, except maybe the meta one where I keep banging my head a…

I agree. A number of them give the typical BP bs advice, but one buddy is red pill aware and has been immensely helpful. hardly ever Ha, I wish it was that good. Never is more accurate. You are right though. Having spent all of my days deep within the perimeter, reading The Way of Men was very eye-opening to me. I used to think that being brutish and aggressive was something that should be bred out of humanity, but now I'm not so sure. Listening to the Jocko Podcast has also done a lot to open my eyes to the realities and horrors of war, and Jocko does a great job of relating the principles back to life within the perimeter. Fuck fat. Carbs are better. I try not to debate diet and religion, but you're insane. Give me a fatty, salty hunk of meat everyday. A juicy steak or smoked chicken thigh doesn't put me into a carb-coma like the deep-fried glazed death-rings that lard-asses call food. Gotta love keto.

I agree that I should continue in the dread levels. I'm working on 7 right now, but could step it up more. Honestly though, there is no point in going to dread 11. With no kids, etc, what's the point in cheating? If I am going to go sleep around, why not just do it in the clear?

Previous I am still working through the idea that my desires are the most important signpost in deciding how to act. I am learning to take them more seriously in some small ways, like going out to sit in a coffee shop because I feel the desire to be around people when I would typically forego for various bullshit reasons. I was with you til you started talking out of your ass about staying. Adultery is the one universally accepted grounds for divorce within the church. Staying just means you're still a beta cuck, and your wife will view you as too weak to move on and therefore unattractive. Lose-lose, in my opinion.

Previous post. It's been 3 weeks since my last check in and a fair amount has happened. Most notable is my change evolving outlook on life. I just got back from a week spent in Europe with my wife. I have food allergies, but why would that change anything? I do keto because it works for my allergies, keeps me lean, and I feel great. You don't need wheat or dairy to bulk. Calculate your maintenance cals, eat at a surplus. Avoid food that makes you sick, get enough protein. Not sure what is so hard about that. Do you need some validation about your raw asshole? Get some prep-h then stop making excuses and eating shit that makes you sick.

Last week you were ready to divorce, now you are thinking about a holiday. The vacation was actually booked a few weeks ago. In a previous post I mentioned potentially calling it off and using that vacation time to disentangle our lives, but I decided I'd rather go to the UK. I agree that I am still in a state of transition. My current plan is to continue to lead and add value as I reorient my head toward taking my desires seriously. The easy solution is to throw in the towel and start spinning plates, but in all honesty, at this point, the plates would potentially be hot, but would be low quality people. Just read Models. Update after the call with the attorney. I live in a no-fault state, so basically, if I want a divorce, it will happen. For years, she has accused me of only wanting her for her body, and while I've denied it, I know deep down it is true. I don't feel any sort of emotional connection to her; I feel emptiness at best, often indifference, and too often I feel revulsion. I have spent years trying to repress these feelings, ignoring or de…

Quick update from my last. A constant refrain in the comments in pretty much all of my posts was about how much I'm stuck in her frame. I used to be defensive when reading those comments, thinking "fuck you, I've been working my ass off, of course I'm not in her frame." Except, I have most definitely been residing squarely in center of her frame. I've always been way more concerned with her "happiness" than my own well being. I've always been way more concerned with not upsetting her, and especi…

Time to start doing weekly postings in OYS. Sex Sex is still non-existent, but I have decided to initiate at least once a day. Her anxiety is so bad that I can hardly touch her side or stomach without her going into panic mode. For the longest time, I thought it was because of an issue with me, and after taking the pill, because I was a fat beta fuck. I had taken a hiatus from initiating to let my SMV rise and her anxiety settle. My SMV is up there, and we've gotten her in to see a psychiatrist …

This shit is epic. Realizing that my wife isn't some prowling lion, but a tame little kitty cat, has done wonders for my frame. She's an ADD flutist who needs drum major to keep her in time. Shit gets weird when the flutists are setting the rhythms of the relationship. This has been hitting home for me lately. Finally starting to digest that damn pill.

I have no way to prove that I been putting in the work aside from showing results, ultimately in getting laid. I don't have results to show in my marriage, outside of lost weight, increased lifts, better appearance, and improved attitude. So far this hasn't translated into getting laid. It has translated into a slightly higher tolerance on my wife's part for intimate touch. I can give countless field reports on my previous fuck ups (check some of my posts from May, though I remember you posting …

Granted, but the times that I have shut off my brain and channeled Chad in my marriage have, with out exception, caused shit to blow up. May be because I lack the frame to pull it off, but it without fail causes her anxiety to explode. In short, deciding to go full Chad is a decision to throw away the marriage (not that Chad gives a fuck a marriage).

That assessment is fair enough. The crux of the matter is that I'm not getting laid, and I am hamstering about life once I start getting laid again. I won't start getting laid unless I undertake the work to help her improve her anxiety, and I am looking for excuses to not put in the work on the off chance that I still won't be happy even after improvement, but I'm basing the hamstering on experiences in my pre-mrp beta days. These are not 1:1 scenarios. Edit: I'm looking for excuses because the …

From your post I gather you are not getting banged regularly You can say that again. It has been far too long since sex has been on the table. She has pretty extreme anxiety regarding sex that started to present about a year into marriage and went full blown within 3 years. Your problem could also be lack of sex builds up intense resentment and anger in men. In most cases once she starts sexing you well those "irritating" behaviors suddenly seem "cute." Weird but true. Definitely know this to be true. I have an old journal filled with doubts pre-marriage, but I was way too Nice Guy to listen/act on them. Sex-feelz are what sustained me for a number of years through the general doubt and frustration in my beta days. A trickle of starfish does weird things to a man. …

I have a suspicion that this is the dynamic that took root: http://www.marriagebuilders.com/graphic/mbi5047_qa.html I was beta, which turned her off, but she wanted to be a good wife, so she put out anyway. She stopped enjoying sex, but I kept asking/begging for it in my betadom. She put out, with dwindling enthusiasm, eventually somewhat against her will. I never forced her to put out, but she eventually shut off emotionally during sex, continuing to reinforce the aversion. She eventually told …

"Is she trying as hard as I am to fix the situation?" So maybe she's not succeeding, but is she making the same effort that I am? That might be hard to judge perfectly - how can I ever know how difficult it is to recover from childhood abuse? But I think over time you can get a sense. That's a great point. Her constant refrain in her rejections of my initiation is that she's "working on it". When I press her on what that means that, it is always some wishy-washy, nebulous answer about how she is…

Luckily, dread wasn't about making her change, it's getting you to a point where you can walk, and not worry about being at home alone in your bathrobe. Your problem is that you're trying to improve your relationship with your wife. You need to focus on improving yourself. Point taken on the jealousy, I am pretty much over it. saving money on a phone is a drop in a very deep bucket towards financial independence. In the grand scheme of it, sure, but living a lifestyle where I buy every shiny object just because I can does not interest me. This month it's a new phone, next it's a new whatever else. My mission is to opt out of the idea that random shit will make me happy. I've proven it to myself over and over that the glean of next new toy wears off too soon.

You've got to get over your obsession with blaming women for all your problems. Regardless of whether your theories about the grand feminine conspiracy are true, being constantly butt hurt about it on the Internet is not constructive. I agree that a wide array of meanings can be found in pretty much any text; I don't think that problem is limited to ancient scriptures by any means. I think the key is to try to find some context, specifically historical, in order to actually give your interpretation weight, instead of just being a proof text for whatever whacky theory you may have. Out of curiosity, how would you read the sentence I quoted in the OP? In our western feminized world, it is entirely too easy for me to read the Bi…

A really good read on this topic is "Why We Get Fat" and/or "Good Calories, Bad Calories", both by Gary Taubes. The former is for the popular crowd, the later is more academic.

I am re-reading Wild at Heart right now, per your recommendation /u/RedDeadWolverine. I highlighted this section last night because it really hit home for me. He's talking about the time he told his son to hit the bully the next time the bully messes with him. He will grow up never knowing how to stand his ground, never knowing if he is a man indeed. Oh yes, he will be courteous, sweet even, deferential, minding all his manners. It may look moral, it may look like turning the other cheek, but it…

I'd be interested in hearing these thoughts more fleshed out. Sounds like some very literal reading of some verses and some loose reading of others.

Seems like it'd be a better idea to lower the weight and keep doing squats than to skip them entirely. Are you sure your form is right? Do you keep your legs/knees/feet pointing out?

I've been mulling this article over and decided to add a few things. Notice toward the top where she thought Nick was hot at first sight and had the feels. That's great, but Nick was a beta from the start. He starts buying her things right away, she likes having him around because he's nice (unlike those other jerks she used to date), he fixes stuff for her, and he moves in with her to get away from his mommy . The only actions Nick takes are in response to her. She gives him an ultimatum about …

I'm not so sure this Nick guy is some AF hero to look up to. Sounds like the wife saw her vulnerable baby sleeping in the crib and the toddler crying in the next room over and decided to double down on Beta Bucks. But as I gazed at my tiny sleeping son, so vulnerable and dependent...I made the most important choice of my life: to fully commit to my marriage. Not to an ideal of love—but to real, complicated love, where things are rarely easy and compromises are constant. I slowly began to behave …

If you aren't lifting weights you are not swallowing the pill. Truth. Nothing like failing a rep to put you in your place and seeing some hot piece walk by to motivate you to get the next set.

How important is it that the hobby is out of the house? I have been getting into woodworking, but my shop is in the basement. Not a lot of dread when I'm hanging out downstairs, but it is something I'm pretty passionate about.

When she came home, I was in my basement workshop doing some woodworking. I heard her come in but didn't care to go greet her (I normally don't if I'm down there). After about 5 minutes she came down and sat on the stairs and asked if I heard her come in. I said "I heard someone, figured it was either you or a burglar." She doesn't usually come sit on the stairs like that. I mostly ignored her there, she made some small talk. I didn't ask her how it went and she didn't bring it up. That was abou…

Mind sharing the name of it? It sounds very similar. I've been wracking my brain trying to think of the name of the place I'd heard about, but can't remember it.

That sounds intense. Is it through your church, or what? I heard about something similar a number of years ago. It sounded like it was like a dedicated ministry they would host weekend retreats year round. I can't remember the name of it, though I wish I could.

Is there a recording available online? A lot of times churches post their sermons.

Thanks for sharing. As a Christian starting to swallow the pill, this is truly inspiring. Do you have any reading recommendations on RP from a Christian perspective? I'd love to see those notes!

Just FYI, You can archive purchases. They still show up in the archived purchases page, but not in the main "my orders" stream.

Not really. I feel like we rushed into marriage and I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I've spent a lot of years resenting her because my covert contracts never panned out. I stumbled on MRP via deadbedrooms. Reading the side bar has made me realize that so much of the shit in our marriage is my fault when I've been blaming her for it (at least in my head, too nice guy to blame her to her facr). A month ago I would have said that I'm just sticking around for the non-existent sex, but …

I have a decent base of muscle and can pedal my bike real fast-like, but don't have a beach bod. I was very overweight most of my childhood through the first half of high school. I lost a bunch of weight, got down to my ideal (about 175, I'm 6-1),but had loose/flabby skin from the years of fat. After that figured what did it matter, so I let it slip to 195, and have been stuck around 210 for years. Idk what to do about the loose skin, and I let that discourage me. Time to own it and figure out w…

I ride because I enjoy it and because it is cheaper than driving. I'm about 66% done with NMMNG. It definitely has had me pegged in certain spots. I'm looking forward to MMSLP.

Thanks for the reply. I'm reading NMMNG right now and have been reading the MRP sub. I need to start lifting. I ride my bike to work every day, so I'm in decent shape, definitely a little flabby. Is there a recommended way to get into lifting? I've always been intrigued by crossfit, but never had the balls to try it. There are a few crossfit gyms in my city, would that be a good route?

I'm not so concerned about her reaction as much as the general "don't talk, act" mentally. I don't want to discuss the change because discussion has gotten me nowhere except a blue pill dead bedroom. I'm at my last straw and want to try something new. More than anything, I am starting to suspect that she has been waiting for me to stop being beta and start owning my shit.
