I also want to add I understand what you mean. When I first got my gf, it just happened to be easier in this rare circumstance. Don't want to get into a whole story, but it happened that way. I wished I took more ballsy actions. I held back so much to find out I was right She told me personally some of her views. She been approached by guys. They were nervous and made bunch of mistakes, but she loved it. It took lots of courage and she admired that. I learned a lot from that. Also she told me ba…

again...Who cares? It is scary. It will be whatever, but you got to try. Everyone is scared as shit and nervous asking a beautiful girl they are interested out. Some have depression, anxiety. The difference is if you take action. It is okay to be freaked out and think of many buts. It is normal. To put it simply, you got to take action. It doesn't matter if your approach isn't perfect. You could be stuttering or make stupid comments. If you come off as genuine and trying your best, it shows some…

You said "It sounds like your issues reach a little bit deeper than seduction" I understand what you mean, but this subreddit seems to understand these issues the most. I tried relationship_advice, depression, anxiety, getting over it, self help. They are all great, but I get the best answers here usually. Seems like many of us at one point experienced some degree of difficulty the OP mentioned.

That was beautiful. Refreshing to read that.

Definitely interested here. I can do simple talk. Like hey. What do you do. Cool. I mean it doesn't go too far. Seems like I am being distant. I want to have more intimate conversations How do you start the escalation in a conversation?

Just two months? I would like to hear more about working on your self part? Could you tell a bit more in detail? Also getting over the AA part, could you tell some stories how that went?

Barely smoke weed(once a month)...and programming was just an example. It happens when talking to people too. It happens when I do anything that requires lots of focusing. This subreddit says self-improvement. I thought maybe someone who had similar experiences would be here as many of us start from inner game. I am seeing if maybe I am doing something wrong that I am getting tired out so fast.

yup. Want what they can't have. Linger you around once they got you. Convinced (tough to do) the vampire she can't have you, she will cut you off and treat you like dirt. Until of course....you go back to her and repeeat!

wow. I got to say it is rare to hear a medication worked out so well. Glad it did for you. Have you tried trees after on medication? Assuming you did, was it different? I believe you are on medication now. Do you think the origin of the depression is related to past events or caused from chemical imbalance?

very honest answer:). Thanks. I had quite the different past, but can relate to most of what you said. Btw the part about being on a diet with yellowy food, that was simple and funny:)

Dude I know this didn't get much attention, but very fucking good read. I am still reading and he has lot of good points. I never read mystery or neil's stuff. I have gotten better at eye contact during conversations. I learned recently to get someone's attention, just. keep. looking. I use to be totally SAP and be like hey...and they had no idea i was calling them. About the hall thing. Do you do that on the streets too? I tried it a bit and found girls more likely to look. Guys tend to not look, but seem to like a simple hey.

There is no for sure nice way. Best way is just to be genuine as always. I mean don't say it's cuz yo fat. That is mean as hell. Simply act not interested. If she brings it up, say you aren't interested in having that type of relationship. Or that you are uncomfortable with this. Depending on the person, you may even be able to tell the "truth". I mean if someone told me I was too skinny or fat, I move on. While I know that someone else would think i'm the hottest shit:P

Also this subreddit is good to get help on self-improvement tips. Fitness subreddit has more information about working out than you can find googling. Take care of yourself. Treat yourself well. You are worth it. IT is hard to believe, but it most likely is because the way you grew up. What we believe back then gets ingrained into our heads. It becomes your way of life even if logic says otherwise. Challenge it. Go against it. Doubt? Go and find out. It will be a long and tough battle, but it is…

Work on yourslef. Therapy is a good choice, but keep in mind it is their to help you. You got to take the action yourslef If you see the right side, there are tons of information on slef-improvement. You can search them on google and get lots of info. The information you get is a great help, but remember to actually do it. Baby steps. Do what you can handle. Can't say hi? work on that. Too hard? I think this isn't a rule. Nor is this just an rule with some exceptions. Long term friends can turn into relationships. It usually results from either not taking the initiative. Unless it was done and tried and it was clear one of them wanted to be friends with mutual understanding and agreement. Every situation is different. In general, be honest with what you want. Maybe you will get it or not, but at the least you will have your answer

Whoa things got heated here. There was a post not long ago that answers all this. Be yourself. You attract people like you. General rule is be authentic. Be genuine in what you do. Whether you are looking for sex, long-term, short-term, or anything else be clear through action or words what you want. It worked out for you and I am glad for you. I can't say for the rest of the post either, but I use this subreddit at the moment mainly to better myself. To improve my life and learn how to socializ…

Then it is time to experiment. Try situational openers. Maybe even try a lame pick up line for laughs. Eventually you will find a way that fits you.
/r/seduction08/03/12 12:37 AM

Where do you ask this? I think it matters on location assuming it was said to strangers. In clubs, it is a more social like setting. The "comfort" level is up there all ready from the drinking and the atmosphere. If it were to strangers at a park then I think it usually wouldn't work unless there was some other indication it was okay to do so. I think comfort level can rise just from giving off a good body language and a friendly attitude:)

The only work I do that paid employees do is that I answer the phone. there are some complications at the moment. I have little prior programming experience. I didn't go to school for programming at all. I started to learn from scratch couple months ago. Also my uncle did pay for a bit, but stopped as he is having money trouble. Salary will come later here. LG is buying his company eventually and I will be working for them most likely.

I been trying to hold eye contact. I been wondering when do you know how to stop? I been told if you hold it too long, it gets freaky or threatening. One more thought. When I look at strangers, I force myself to look at them for few seconds. I have the thought "Hope I don't come off as creepy or make them think they got a smudge on their face." I am thinking I still got to work my smile. I am thinking if no smile this may be true. If you are just looking at someone with a poker face haha. What y…

I rarely use it myself but felt like using it once haha From what I read, it means approachable level. HB10 is confident, high value, attractive, selective. HB0 is the opposite. She is easy, non selective, usually unattrative(having low value of yourself makes you less attractive), has no value. edit: I misread your comment. HB = Hot Babe. I haven't seen one for males....make one? Hot Guy? no idea =| editedit: Is that your favorite juice flavor? (Your user name)

What you said here was very helpful. I especially like the part about embracing who you are. It is what I been working on for a while now. When I first came here, I kept reading "fake it til you make it" and it bothered me. I wasn't sure why, but it just didn't sound right. Thanks for the awesome advice:) Also... What places would you recommend to go to talk to people? My job doesn't have any customers. I don't go to school. I tried saying hi/hello to strangers on the street. Got good responses.…

Just picturing that girl. If she looked like a HB10 and said that. That is an instant HB0 for me. Would never sex her or friend that kind of a person. Seems like you did ask or approach so that is good. Keep at it. Think of it in another perspective. What if someone was interested in you and you laughed your face off at them. That is disrespectful and mean as hell.

I see. There we go. You can start with going out with friends and talking to strangers. Maybe ask about there friend you don't know and meet them together. Baby steps. Also it may help you. Pretend to be friends with everyone. Look at a stranger as if you are good friends, but you haven't seen him in 20 years. You know nothing of him, but you feel comfortable and want to get to know everything that's been going on. I read this somewhere. Didn't work for me, but heard it worked great for some:)

Know I had depression. I still have a bit. I had it for 15+ years. I was in a bubble. I rarely talked. I use to shake when someone talked to me. I would just freeze, look down and hide. I spoke about 5-6 words a day average. I kept to myself. I was stuck in my mind. Had addictions to games and many other things. I was looking for a constant escape. Point is fix your own issues first. Happy you brings happy others. What you see in people is really what you see in yourself. I tried to figure out h…

I want to add that I think it is also girls make associations more than guys. They think of you as the guy that took her this and this place. Also I thought taking a bite of hot pocket and saying you knew a good book upstairs was a bad move. I believe when you say you will do something with another, you do it. Unless somehow it was giving obvious subtle/indirect messages that it was a joke or something. I could be wrong or maybe I got the picture wrong. I do think the rest was really great. Espe…

hmm I do like the first one. Good idea:) More playful But the second one seems too quick. I am new at this so do tell your reasons for it. I suppose time is short to converse much there, but I would imagine that is too soon? I don't see it working and maybe kill the conversation. I never even thought of that. I will have a lookout for that. Also HB4s and such could be awesome people:) My ex was a ...5-6? before we became couples. Use to hate that...but realized it was just passive anger. I didn't take any action also it is stupid to be passively angry at that. You don't control the girl-_- I like to see it as learning what he did differently:)
/r/seduction26/02/12 01:51 AM
2

I definitely agree action is important. I also think there should be some importance on self-improvement. All though taking action is doing that. I am talking about getting a job. Doing new hobbies. Learning to be happy who you are. I believe in cases like this, this takes priority. Not saying you shoudlnt still go out and meet women, but sometimes this alone doesn't work. This is in my experience at least:)

I can somewhat relate to you. First thing is. Do you want to better yourself? Do you want to get girls? Do you want to feel confident? To like yourself? What kind of a person do you want to be? Got to realize...it takes work. Confidence is great, but it isn't something you just get. It takes work to get. Another way to see confidence is how much you love yourself. How proud you are of yourself. Are you happy who you are. Big question again: WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE? Working to being that person is …

I have tried to be honest just to find that my social skill of a 10 year old doesn't quite match with a 20-30 range. I obviously have to start slow and from the start. I gone from running away from conversations to actu…

Thanks for understanding:) Any advice on how one starts to learn to conversate? I did get better at talking than from a couple months ago, but I know I can improve much much more. What do you do in situations where it gets quiet a bit too often? I seen some come up with random stuff that ends up starting a conversation on something completely different.

I see. I had a situation where I tried to only talk when I felt like it. When I thought it was natural. Sometimes I end up saying very little. Thinking back...maybe this is normal sometimes?

haha thanks:P Not sure when to keep eye contact or not...I just try to have eye contact when talking...hopefully it will get natural soon

I see. Do you have any recent situations you've had to share? I know it's silly...but I always thought people would never find me interesting. It actually is embarassing to show any interest for me. I will try to talk of something interesting. "Say things that invite their opinion, but don't force them to speak." This is the best advice I've head in awhile. Thank you:)

That is up to her. If she does get attached...that's what happens. It's beyond your control. You can't choose for her. Clearly this seems to make you worry though. Be honest about it. Talk to her and be open. You two will eventually come with a mutual agreement. Sounds like to me though you are worried about being the guy that messed with a virgin's emotion. Sounds like you had a past related to that or something..

So true. I see many kids being ignored. Makes kids feel and think they have no value. Horrible:(

it's okay. Doing these charts I feel limits one's ability to talk freely. But maybe for you and some others, this is a good guide to have in your mind with some flexibility:) If not sure, you can always test it:P

Guy was coming off desperate...and creepy. That is kind of a freaky feeling of someone that could go crazy if they don't get what they want... Anyone has the "right" to do whatever they want, but prepare for the consequences that will come for those choices. It's possible maybe the guy was having a bad day. Maybe had a recent breakup. Your comments in this post seem really one sided for the desperate guy.

it isn't that simple. Some girls, even guys too, have a tough time telling someone to back off. Especially when they seem overwhelming and they are freaking you out. I know this from a friend who dealt with this. It could also be other issues too. It's like telling a abused child to just walk away...they dont know how. They are scared. Some grow up thinking saying no or walking away isn't even a possible choice. Your comment bothers me like hell. To me, it's like telling me if she can't handle i…

oh hey it's cool:) We can help each other out. It's nice to be reminded that you aren't alone in this. From what I experienced so far, have the attitude as you are important. That you are someone who stands up for your beliefs. If they ignore you...just ignore that. If they keep doing it, they aren't the people you want around you I slowly realize everytime I go out, a simple hi does so much. Sometimes no words. The feeling of that you acknowledge them, they are important to you, you want to kno…

Sounds good. I am in a similar situation too. In my personal experience, I dont value my own opinions/feeling. I don't think I am heard or taken seriously. I have to have amazing stories, crazy skills on everything, have something amazing to make a friend, yet that isn't me. I try to be perfect in the way I think another wants to see me as. I found it to be rooted from childhood as I took failure hard. Maybe it is a similar issue?

Nothing sounds weird in this category. I'm really glad there is a place that people understand this. So sounds like you are out of it. How do you...follow your heart. I mean..that's what I been trying to do. Any advice on how to start? I did the smiling at the mirror...still weird, but getting use to it. What realizations, starter goals, etc did you do?

I know, I thought maybe it was normal....but I know something is off. I'm over it now, but I still feel like I want to let go...it's like everything I feel is getting crammed. AT least I think so...I'm not so sure myself

I am really low on money but you are right. No way to know for sure until I try I suppose:) If anyone is curious...I can update in couple weeks on how therapy went. I use to have a steady girlfriend...but the issues I had were part of the reason it ended. It's not just her, I pushed away everyone in my life. Main reason I came to a realization I was alone and unhappy and didn't want to live this way anymore. It seems like when I show my concerns/thoughts...it drives people away...maybe I am choo…

Meanwhile in anxietyman's head what if every 4 min, what if same commercials, what if world blew up. See my point it's bad right. I am right. I proved with commercials are "assumingly" hated by everyone that people sharing there wonderful experience is a horrible. I understand that auto defensive mechanism. Step back, breath for couple secs, and see how silly this is.

That's great...you are miserable, good for you. What I am trying to get here is what do you want. People to agree how you are a miserable person? That you feel what you feel? I can relate to your thoughts. I get like that when I am extremely depressed.. Thoughts I had: -Invited to party?..."they are just pitying me" -Let's eat taco bell..."Don't tell me what to do..." -Advice on cheer up? "Ass doesn't know what it's like...I'm depressed. These people don't know what it's really like." I felt...s…

dont trust that guy...he is a rapist! On a more serious note question yourself, what can you do to make yourself happier. More. Not yes or no. Happy or sad. Happier than you are now in general. Of course down times will come but learning to take care of yourself helps you deal with those situations :)

Yea...but I don't get why the "OH GOD ITS NICKLEBACK" reactions. I think if you hate it or don't like it....just like anything else, just stop listening to them...it's not forced. It may be on the radio a lot, but there's shit loads of shitty music. That's why there's cd players, bluetooth, mp3 jacks, pandera, the off button. I'm not accusing you of anything:) TL;DR: I don't get why Nickleback gets bashed on so often, when I would think one would just forget about them like anything else they ha…

Hmm...people are lazy though, I admit I do that too sometimes. I think if reddit had something like stackoverload website where when you typing/asking questions, it shows similar asked questions on the side. I been wondering if this would be a good idea for reddit too. What you think? Also I another reason this happens is because one could be so focused on the question or issue that they forget to think logically. That there are others who have gone through this, that even a search bar exist, et…

There was an askreddit(What common sayings do you hate on reddit...something like this) and there was common hate on the word "upvote" and "sir". I don't know why...I am personally just neutral on it. It's just saying your agreeing>_> I don't get the hate. But the part that confuses me...I see once in awhile, upvote for whatever comment, they get 50+ upvotes. Edited Format*
