This. We divorced in December and no kids so thought that was it. Why block her? We told each other the divorce was the end (she wanted it). She called in April...I answered. Just now getting my head about me. Won't make the mistake again. I blocked her on everything.

" I wasn't perfect but really wanted to put the work in, counseling, etc. She didn't." That's usually the case. Marriages will fail 100% of the time if one of the party doesn't care to try. I will warn you, I'm 99% sure she will try and reach out to you again. It's pretty common. Don't let her. I know its hard. But...she doesn't want to get back together. She just needs an ego boost. "I know she cares about me" Look brother, I don't want to come off as some incel and shit on her just because she…

I see 'anger issues' mentioned a lot. This is a big one for men getting married. Women in todays society can get away with shit and never be held accountable. That's why they throw tantrums as 27 year olds. If your fiance has anger issues, abort her like she has down syndrome.

Read this article that said free will doesn't exist, a little too deep for this thread haha. But it made a good point, if we could go back, with the same knowledge, we would make the same decisions. I would've married her again, like a never ending Doctor Strange loop. It's ok to realize you made a mistake and not berate yourself for the rest of your life from it.

Man, I get the desperation, the financial worries, the loneliness. But if she put out a protective order on you...you think you have problems now. Just wait until you get charged with domestic violence and jailed.

If the new guy makes good money that should keep her from trying to go after you a lot. So that's a plus. Best best is probably keep the money for the courts and get a loan. But I think you already knew that:) How are you handling her being re-married?

If one person wants the marriage to end it always, always will. And as far as you taking responsibility for the marriage ending... It's a hard pill to swallow but the vast majority of marriages end because the woman just gets bored with it. You say your ex is attractive with a masters. Well, then she'll probably be unhappy in her next marriage too. That's not to shit on her, it's just how things are statistically. Second marriages end more than first ones. And she makes good money so if he makes…

I'm sorry. I really am. If its any consolation, she didn't value this marriage, and she'll almost certainly not value the next one either. We both agree, there are reasons to divorce, but...they probably are few and far between. Marriage is odd in that the grass is almost never greener on the other side. Second marriages have a higher divorce rate than first. And third ones even worse. She was unhappy with you, she'll be unhappy in the next one. Our counselor told us "divorce doesn't teach you ho…

You sound like me. My ex was kind enough to wait until week 3 before using the D word. Counselor told her "all you want to do is throw a fit and pack your bags" haha, good shit. Did you ex re-marry? Even AFTER it was all final she still didn't see how throwing around the D word to get what she wanted was an issue... I told her "you do that shit in your next marriage and that will end too". Don't feel bad for dismissing it. Social conditioning, us guys are taught to be faithful to the end. Plus y…

Heres the one thing women do that guys don't. Wives will string guys along for YEARS. They never have any real plans of reconciling. Just be aware she'll do it to you if you let her. We seem to coddle women. "Oh she needs time to sort out her feelings, she's iffy". Fuck that. They're adults just like us. And women who DO want to get back or stay married act like adults and are just as direct and sincere as men. If she did want to reconcile, she would tell you. She has no intention of getting bac…

Encourage him with all your heart to end it. You say the reasons are 'soft'. You're probably right. Women live in a society where they are told that if it's 'blah' for whatever reason you divorce. He might even be a good husband, she's just bored. He's still young, tell him to get out. Men divorce for reasons, women divorce for reasons too, but a lot of times it's just because they see divorce and being single as a rite of passage. He'll be better off to bail ASAP, because that's what she's goin…

You know what I find interesting is how EVERY FUCKING pro-women divorce thing I've ever seen mentions how "Marriage is bad for women because they clean more". Yet men by far do more maintenance but that never seems to be an issue. IDK, its weird.

Never thought of it that way, but probably true in a lot of cases, yours and mine included.

"counseling as a way to double team me". I think that might've been her MO as well. It was HER idea, and I gladly went. Then the shrink tore into her about some shit she was doing, we never went back.

From what you said about no results on dating apps I've come to the conclusion you are neither a millionaire nor Chris Hemsworth:) Honestly, I wouldn't even have them. Meet girls elsewhere. I don't have mine anymore and the best relationship I've had since the divorce was a girl i met IRL. Us guys should band together and boycott them. Don't worry too much about your face being a 4/10. I'm sure youre not. Realistically you're probably judging yourself waay lower because of the divorce. You had s…
