Just because a woman gave birth to you doesn't make her a mother.

The illusion of intimacy. They are paying for connection and responses from the women. No different than guys that go to bars and buy drinks to chat with a "pretty" bartender.

TL:DR; women love drama and soap operas. Women are manipulative by their own nature. What the post is struggling to communicate is that a son is now confronted with the fact his mother is capable of lying to him for decades and never have any concern of being confronted with the truth.

In the Bible, there is a story of Jesus speaking with a woman at a well. You may find it interesting. As a side note to the historical context, thots have been with us since the beginning of time. No religion, culture, or time period has prevented women from being women.

When you actually make 100k, keep in mind how few people in the USA statistically reach that level. Always keep in mind that a woman is like a boat. Consider how much money you may sink into a deprecating asset that is used for a fun time on the weekends and occasional vacation.

It comes from a lack of direction on what you are building for your future. If you only have connections to the past, and have nothing new you are building - then it would make sense to have the feelings of loneliness. The real question is: As a man, what mountain are you climbing? What type of life are you building? What is the mission are you moving towards? Keep moving forward!
/r/MGTOW22/12/19 05:23 PM

Probable and likely. So few ask, not because of the potential lie - rather, they don't ask out of fear of her ending the sexual relationship. Once we remove them from the pedestal, we are free to ask anything without fear.

Modern men are too timid to ask a woman her body count before marriage. If they did, they might have to consider what they believe isn't actually real.

This is why ghosting is a valid option with the nonsense and drama she will create. Had for their to be a victim self deprecating selfie party when you can't be tagged on any social platforms, text messaged, or accessible to her.

The hilarious part is that their community throws a tantrum when one of them makes an "exception" because of meeting someone she's willing to break the "rules" for. Loyalty, honor, and respect are principals that men created - women are incapable of holding to those values for a lifetime, so they trade their bodies in exchange for comfort.

Mgtow men: stay off Tinder. You don't need female validation and its a pool for women to seek attention. You are not "lonely" or "missing out". If women approach you IRL, it's because they know that you are focused on YOU, not them. A mans mission is more meaningful than any amount of female attention. There is no "filter" a selfie can show for a life of fulfillment.
/r/MGTOW02/12/19 06:09 AM

Question: What did she give you for your time and attention? Do you validate women for free on dating apps? Mgtow men should not be giving women free validation, time, attention, or affection. They barely value themselves, how do you think they value your most precious resource?

A mans presence has power. When we align to our principles, women have no option but to follow. Stop giving attention to social posts of women making this type of content - that's our only option to effectively go our own way.

Ask her questions. Not over text, not while you are intimate, not with her family or friends around. That's what "dates" are supposed to be. Ask her the real questions: how is your relationship with your mother and father. what types of guys have you been with in the past? what are your thoughts about cheating or being cheated on? do you smoke, drink, or have tried any party drugs? how do you feel about monogamy or multiple partners? Do the hard work, ask the questions. Stop living in your head.…

They still can't be strategic, even when they are trying to be strategic. The long term game would be something like a marriage strategy, but nope - hypergamy is going to continue to be the tactic they apply. It's almost like they believe they will always have access to high value suitors and that their value will only go up over time.

For me: She didn't abort, drink, use narcotics, or sabotage me while I was in the womb. For that, I show respect, kindness, and understand that she's a woman first, was a "wife" second, and a mother last and that's the order of her loyalty. Learn from the experience and realize she will not see you as the man you are building. Do not look back with resentment, move forward and be at peace with yourself first. Moses did some gangsta moves with power and leadership. That guy was far from "meek". Look at the book as a series of different philosophical view points told through a millennia of historical kingdoms, wars, and tribes. Take it for what you can apply to your life and keep it moving forward. Be at peace with yourself, the rage stage can blind you to the community here who have been in a similar stage. Ive found it to be childish to "like" the porn stars. I get the whole attraction to physical attributes and all... But when men travel to conventions, pay for photos at meet and greets - it's like a comic book fan seeing their fantasy. It's very detached and an act of not viewing these women as people who make these choices intentionally. Then to want to wife-up your comic book princess, man... Wtf. Tito Ortiz comes to mind.

When I have to interact with a woman that I find attractive, I pause and think to myself: what problems does she have and what is she hiding? debt and low wage jobs? stalker boyfriends? stds and poor health? mental disorders? drama and breaks things? violent and a screamer? Then I have a mental exercise, where I wonder how long it would take for me to regret ever being with her physically. Does this prevent me from acknowledging attractive women? Do you enjoy watching threesomes that are painful and lack enjoyment? That's what you are obligating yourself to; The mother, the child, and the father. If a child was only kind to you when you had a gift for them, but screamed and threw tantrums when you did not have gifts for them, would you be nervous around them? Or would would you learn to be indifferent to the child? Who ever is leading and parenting the child will learn to set boundaries. We only fear the unknown. There is no reason for you to fear being rejected by a child throwing a tantrum who can be bought with superficial "gifts".

She married a doctor, complained about having the responsibilities of a mother of 3. "Feels" like a single mom... On the income and support of a husband who is well off. Oh and she's 35. This is the age where they start looking around again and wondering if the picked the "right one". There are no unicorns. Even when you are Chad, a doctor, or Johnny Depp.

It's a painful reminder that on Sunday they will welcome you as THEIR messiah and by Friday, THEY didn't like your choice to pursue the greater path and now have nailed you to a cross. In the end it's just you. Live the life you view as your greatest purpose. Live with integrity, honor, and respect. A woman is not a God, nor should she be your queen. Have been saying this for the past year... I do not want to be anyone's lottery ticket. There is no talent, work, effort, or skill needed to win the lottery. It's random and luck. If the ticket turns out to be a huge prize in the future and you've invested nothing, who's the fool for giving away the prize? As men going our own way, realize we are cashing in now and not holding a lottery for a unicorn. You've already one, now just decide how you want to enjoy the prize of freedom. Keep going your…

Monk mode is a mindset and is a path followed by a series of steps. Not every man here is starting from the same point in life, that's the beauty and painful part about this community. Some are freshly divorced, others are teens who are wondering about how to deal with rejection. Yes, some forced celibates and others are recovering pickup artists. What we can do is lift each other up and share our struggles and success. That's one mans opinion, keep going YOUR own way.

It's a mind over matter situation. If the physical need has taken over your discipline, you will need to find an outlet that resets your focus. For some, that is exercise, weights, lifting, or movement. You are the master of your body, not a woman's ability to give into an impulse.

Lesson to younger mgtow: When she says she loves you, she means that she loves what you can do for her right now. The vows of marriage and "For better or worse", were written by men. No woman would have ever written those words, because they could never imagine actually living life with that level of commitment. Honor is word created by men and a concept unfamiliar to women. They are only loyal to the lifestyle you can provide. She's not signing up to sacrifice, she's in it for herself.

Let's be honest here, you are young and asking a real question. The unfortunate part is that any woman: 21, 41, or 61, is not with you for the reasons you are with her. This is where Robert Greene comes into play with Law 16: Use absence to increase strength and honor. When going mgtow or post breakup, younger ones take note! Ghost completely. Sever the tie. She's made her choice, move forward by not looking back. Women are incapable of being a "friend" in the sense of what masculine friendship can be. Focus your attention on building friendships with men, she can not comfort you and will always have an emotional desire to take, never give, post breakup.

Most people, and overwhelming women will ask: What do you do? And rarely ask: How are you? It's a subtle difference in words, and a large enough one that once you begin to hear it, you will see that most people are just transactional communicators. Few actually have any interest beyond themselves.

It's called raising a child. Except this one never grows up, can take half your assets, and will eventually jump ship to another person just because she felt like she wanted something "different".

Too few men actually ask women their count. Once you remove sex from the negotiations, she is more likely to tell you - but even then, most don't ask.

The beauty of tech is that it requires... Tech. When new startups rise up out of men leaving their positions and "name brand" companies, maybe then they will realize that it's a developers market. There is no magic button or whip to crack when you have an incompetent team of "coders" who don't actually like to code.

Good for you brother! No more silly questions like, "what should we get tonight?" Or , "I'm not in the mood for that, pick something different" To the younger mgtow brothers, imagine a life where every night before you ate dinner, you had to deal with the same circular logic of questions on what to eat... Instead of just eating the food you actually wanted to eat. Still seems silly of the MRP guys who need to hold "frame" just to eat the dinner they actually want. But hey, what do we know as mgt…

Tattoos are the sign that she's willing to brand herself in "mostly" permanent ink, based on her emotions. - which at best are whimsical, fluid, and ever changing, depending on her stage and age in life. Imagine this... A man who trains with UFC fighters for fun, has a multi-million dollar top ranked podcast, Hollywood friends, elite intellectuals who hang out with him, and what's he afraid to talk about? His close friend who was murdered by his wife. The fact that all the "alpha" means nothing. That we are stuck in a game where there is no winning move, except to not play.

Just listened to some of the reports and his public account of the events. This man can explain how blackholes work, yet could not escape the vortex of the "I changed my mind" paradigm shift that's now socially acceptable for women to do. 9 years later, that's what I read in one report. Almost a decade later, then it's like... Oh, yeah - I'm a victim now. No proof, no records, just the potential of a media run and book deal. The only winning move is to not play.

Sorry to break the news to the purple pill guys, but the "traditional" woman does not exist. The minute she's able to swing up in options - she's going to make the move. Note to the younger Mgtow and the ones still riding the purple pill: Awalt. They all have a plan. Even when you are "Chad", a millionaire, a "nice guy", or the father of her children... She's always weighing her options of the prizes and adventure she can have without you. If she can risk it, with minimal social and peer backlash, she will do it for the thrill of rediscovering the years she lost while sacrificing her life to monogamy.

Question: ( as a lesson for the younger Mgtow ) How much do you estimate the relationship cost for having this woman as a girl friend, dating and dinners, etc, before their ceremony? Then give or take a few, how much for the "wedding"? Including the ring, dress, food, drinks, event rentals, etc. And then the cost for a 10 year "marriage" ( kids, homes, etc) - assuming no divorce or adultery. Honestly, just factoring living assistance and the real cost of having general daily (12+ hours) of health care in my 80 to 90s is the goal. Because it's like the lottery. Some women hit it big; millionaire athletes, startup billionaires, and men who support them financially online as aspiring "models". There are many parts of the bible worth studying. It's easy to pick a phrase or two, but one of the books of the bible that comes to mind is Job. Here was a man, who in the middle of losing everything, has his wife tell him to turn his back on God. He does not and continues forward. You have a unique opportunity to be both a bridge and guide to those looking to expand and partner with African tech opportunities. No, he's the archetype for /r/theredpill - MGTOW is about going your own way. Take a listen to the Joe Rogan podcast interview of Bilzerian. (EPS #857) I'm sure you might pick up a few things about his personality and see how he still enjoys the validation, social, and financial aspects of his "act". What skill could you be developing instead of dealing with women? What talent, business, venture, purpose, or personal goal are you walking away from by spending time with a unicorn? Great contribution. These are confusing times and many men, especially the younger ones are walking the plank blind folded. The more we share, educate, and grow together - we are sharing how it is possible to live a healthy life, while going our own way. Exactly, this is the reply I share with men when they ask the age old question: Do you think a specific woman is "hot"? While I agree with your statement, all allies are needed when promoting the mgtow ecosystem. If he even reaches one young man who is beginning to question the path, then it's a win. Take it as an early life lesson. Set aside time to have a real conversation with your father to learn from his choices. Find out "why" he picked her in the first place, same for your mother. Monk mode is not about "no sex" - it's about placing your mind, goals, and pursuits above women. That instead of chasing a woman, you are so focused and your life that women are no longer the priority. The side effect is a life of fulfillment from knowing that even with your last breath, none of it was wasted on deciding "where to go eat", why she is arguing about deserving a "girls night out", and the endless nonsense of modern relationships. Keep going your own way!

Great post! Glad to see more of these "mainstream" memes posted to help grow the community. Relationships are a gamble, and the unicorn is like playing blackjack with the only option being "21" - what man would play with his life, finances, stability, and mental clarity, just for the chance to hit blackjack? Where in that unicorn relationship, you have to play blackjack every day to keep her. Even when you have millions in the bankroll to play, the risk outweighs the reward. Keep going your own …

Depends on how serious you are about going your own way, or continuing to compromise your time, finances, and morals for a chance at the mythical unicorn. Why not consider going the path of the monk? You can repeat the process with females, or grow and learn from a different path.

What they fear is the commitment, accountability, lack of social validation, sacrifice, and selflessness required to care for another person... unconditionally! This is what the blue pill men dream of: finding a woman to care and support, though marriage with the ideal of unconditionally love. To a modern woman having children it's her version of the "ball and chain".

Capitalism at work - if there is a marketplace for buyers and sellers, then it will exist. We may not be the intended consumer of this product, but rest assured, there is some guy who will "Man Up" and commit to her.
/r/MGTOW14/09/18 10:33 PM

Most women do not want to have any accountability. The days of men leading and guiding them are over. Hence, "he's controlling" - yes, because he should be guiding and leading the "marriage". When we "Man Up" - it's for their convenience, when we are leading them to own their actions, it's "controlling". You can bring a unicorn to water, but you can not make them drink... Keep going your own way.

My real answer when talking to women is - 100 dollars on the ring and 100 dollars on the "honeymoon trip". If she's not interested in even having a serious conversation about how to entertain a creative solution to the budget, she's showing her cards.

It's interesting to hear the insights of women, when asking them their thoughts on not buying a ring. Rather putting that sizable amount of money towards a down payment on a property. There are a handful that begin to agree with the logical financial choice, but it's a clear indication of what someone's priority is when discussing the business contract called "marriage".

You may find the following helpful in a business work environment, yes you may win the battle today - but unfortunately you may be risking your income stream in the process. Always encouraging other men to have a side business they are growing. This makes going your own way painless, rather than having to submit to the corporate politics. Question: How do you deal with that thought? Answer: Motivated to move forward every day. At times by leaps and bounds - other times its inch by inch. Biblically: Even Jesus had to go it alone, had 12 people with him and in the end, the loyal ones he took with him fell asleep on the day he needed them to be supportive. Personally: Get your shit together, or go back to the plantation, but that's me - you do you! Go whatever way is for YOU. With freedom comes the weight of creating your own realit…

Either way, with the current state of modern "men" - someone will always wife her up, always. There is another "man" in line, who has been waiting for the chance to marry her. Happens every day. The best form of action we can do is to continue to share the positive aspects of monk mode with MGTOW and be supportive of our growing community.
/r/MGTOW01/09/18 05:34 PM

Monk mode is not such a terrible thing to consider. It will increase the clarity you are already experiencing. When you interact with women while in monk mode, you see women for what they truly are... "The most responsible teenager in the house" - at best case scenario. Honestly, the smash and dash mentality still opens you up to STDs and nonsense that may come back around in the form of relationship regret. It's unpopular to share the view, but I encourage men to focus on the journey - build yo…

Correct - Monk mode is what I was referencing, clearly that was not exactly what others want to upvote. Which is why TRP exists. The community here is slowly becoming more accepting of blue, purple, and red pill practices - less of the traditional process of being MGTOW for the sake of a journey - not to just to hook up with random women.

Unless you choose to go your own way, you will need to find a tribe, religion, or culture that will socially enforce the traits you are looking for. Test out mornings versus evenings for workout. The 45 mins to 1 hour is a full set. No breaks, full out. I am for giving it 85 percent of all my energy, so that when the end of the day hits - my body is ready to rest. No phones, lights, late night snacks, etc. Our bodies adapt to rhythms and cycles quickly. Find what works for you and stick to it for at least two weeks to see how you improve. As others have shared, lack of sleep will kill your immune system. That's the quickest way to get sick.

Define "love" in this specific situation? - Or are we ignoring the fact that divorce, sex before marriage, promiscuous nature and all the other traits associated with liberated "women".... Are a mockery of marriage in a church. At its best, marriage is now a financial life event. Vows have little meaning and the moment it's uncomfortable or inconvenient - the female can cash out.

Keep doing the dates, each one will open your eyes to the patterns that these females have for "pay" for "pl…

Strongly recommend the book "Mastery" by Robert Greene. Purpose, mission, internal compass, call it what you will... Is a very specific thing. Removing the ego and tapping into your inner purpose is something that takes time and focus. Well worth the read and one of the Robert Greene books that is recommended the least. Also suggest "Ego is the enemy" by Ryan Holiday. Great things occur when you serve a purpose beyond yourself. Best to you on the journey.

As someone who is "racially ambiguous" - I can say that it doesn't matter. Focus on being the man you want to be in old age. Who is that man? What was his mission? Did he fulfill his purpose or did he just dabble in mediocrity? Honestly, you may be better served with the MGTOW community. Take time away from females and social validation. Get to understand who you are and what you value. Many "men" float through life following the path that others have set out for them racially, culturally, socia…

Be loyal to - your - mission. If that happens to align with others who are following you, so be it. Going your own way is the most rewarding and challenging thing we can choose to do with our lives. Few will understand, many will criticize and only you will know if you are compromising or being true to yourself.

Physical disability, not a mental disability, correct? In that case - be a leader to your son. He is watching and learning from you. You are the model for his formative years. Find a way to lead you family. There is nothing wrong with having a wife who is supportive. It's another thing to be the second child. Leadership comes in many forms. Stephen Hawking was a leader who pursued his own path. If this woman and your son were no longer alive, what mission would you be building towards? What kind…

They get married to avoid the choice of having to go their own way. The weight and responsibility of being the captain of their ship is too much for them. So they choose "safe" to avoid having to build their own mission where validation from women is irrelevant.

Mgtow is not about hiding. Mgtow is about building the man - you - want to become. "Ugly" is a set of social standards based on what the majority consider others successful to reproduce with. Go to another city, country or culture and guess what... You may be beautiful to them. That's a fickle way to live life. Stephen Hawking had a family, children, wives, professional success, traveled the world and inspired others. If he had chose to live his life based on what others thought of his appearanc…

Repeat this to yourself 100 more times. Go to have fun -- not for validation, specifically from females. Mgtow is about choice and persuing what you want. Follow your journey, climb your mountain and build the man you want to become.

Thought this was a shoutout to the YouTuber SunriseHoodie. Well worth the listen, especially the Sunday sermons. Interesting perspective and insights from a Mgtow lens.

All ages do this - in fact let her find out the new wife isn't just better looking, but has some kind of social status where she has her own finances. The thought that another, more attractive and financially capable women would actually be attracted to the man she tossed aside is sickening to them. The marriage game is a whole different set of rules when dealing with corporate women 35+

Would like to believe that other men would avoid the nonsense, but honestly we all have had a friend who would have -- or admitted to it later after a few drinks.

It's about making the choice you want for yourself as a man. Not for the validation of women or trading your time grooming or not for sex. The more important question to ask is, what do you want?

Absolutely, it's worth the experience every now and then of the casual online to offline date - just to keep the Mgtow thoughts sharp. Most importantly, not for validation from women, but to see women for who they really are... Not what men would like them to be. Keeps the blue tinted glasses at bay and your eyes open.

If for nothing else, the mental (masculine) strength needed to restrain yourself by choice is a skill few men have. Another one is keeping eye contact with women. When on first dates I would share with the woman to wear low cut extreme cleavage on the next date. Then ask her to time how long I could keep eye contact with her over lunch. I maxed out around a minute. What I learned was more valuable, that women are attracted to a masculine man who can remain in control.... Imagine that! Best to yo…

Left at 17 with a trash bag of clothes, no ID, no money, no job and built myself up over the last 20 years. Similar situation as your post. Single mother who dated, married, made poor choices and required the closest thing to a "man" to take responsibility of the home. Humble suggestion is to not pursue music as the financial source of revenue. Keep playing and making music on down time, but pick up a physical labor skill or a technical trade. Think along the lines of a trade or skill that will …

Replace the word "plate" with the word "client". If you were selling a valuable product ( you and your time ) to a perspective client who originally showed interest but now bailed out on three separate meetings, would you still want to "close" that client? Or would you focus your attention on your pipeline of new, interested prospects who are willing to pay the price without haggling over everything? I suppose if it was your only sales lead and you had no ability to get new clients, then yes - k…

Consider the ethos of RedPill & Mgtow: To put yourself first. Build the man and follow the mission. Do you think that these women in porn care about your mission? Why would you want to give your time away to an activity that never moves you forward? Meditation, prayer and fasting are all strength conditioning habits you can build now. If you believe you can't it stems from a thought much deeper than "porn" - Nothing wrong with acknowledging a beautiful woman, just keep track of when you are "wor…

I don't understand why men who are married can not insist on a no password policy. Goes both ways, for both of you. Why would you be in a relationship with another person, who lives in your home, raises your children, sleeps in your bed... But asking for no passwords ( or all shared passwords ) - is "too much"? When I removed the puppy during my marriage - no Private Investigator was needed. She changed her password & Facebook access. Found a "new" phone she had been using. Guess what - that was…

Spent the afternoon mentoring on of my previous students and talking with him about the downsides of moving in with his new girlfriend. Obviously I urged him to reconsider the choice. Spent the rest of the day on work, gym and reading about men who fall from grace in the bible due to their own ignorance about women.

Can we as a community rise above troll posts? Would like to see this removed, unsure how this contributes to the growth of others here who are actually putting in the time to read, lift, work and map out a path to improving themselves - Not the wife & not the marriage.

If she was willing to openly admit to the "emotional" affair, she will trickle truth the rest on her own. She has done more, or at minimum, been willing to do more. Hiring the PI will only confirm what your instincts have told you. That she's willing, wanting and already reaching for another branch. Spend the PI funds on protecting your inheritance. It's already over, it's just a matter of how you want to build yourself moving forward. Many of us have been in similar situations. We can't fix the…

Sometimes I think that these types of posts are trolls and not AWALT stories of men living a blue pill life. As others will share: sidebar, lift, ghost, next and you can only fix the man not the relationship. Work on you. Take time to fix what traits, habits and patterns you brought into that relationship. Learn from them & remove them. Best to you on your journey.

Strongly suggest reading the original Rich Dad Poor Dad book. As well as the E-Myth Revisited. Those two specific books will help you find what path works best for your set of skills and experiences. As others have shared, entrepreneurship and hustling are not realistic for everyone. A 3% to 5% passive return on your time and money is a respectable way to begin learning. Best to you on your journey.

531 words and not a single one of them is about what you want, just mentions of validation through sex. 49 years of age: What is the state of the mission for 50, 60 and 70? Does she deliver value in the development of the next stage of your journey? If you have a life, health or financial event, would she be the right person to be second in command? Or are you just looking for sex and entertainment? What is the mission? Recently divorced If it's been less than a year, heck two years, I would str…

It's your responsibility to lead her. If she's a 5 lead her to be a 6. That also requires you to stay ahead of her by mapping out your journey. There are many skills a first mate can bring to a relationship. Does she have great credit, cook meals, entertain your business clients over dinners, contribute financially, enjoy child care? Those are a few of the attributes that keep my first mate apart of the team I'm building. She should want to contribute and keep up with a man that will move on wit…

Even if she does take your name, there are other issues to consider. Have you discussed if she will be a SAHM? The timeline for children? A wife taking your name is no guarantee for success. I know it's not romantic, but this is a business contract. Do you know what she's expecting for you to obligate to? We are talking about your life, future financial obligations and potential children. Marriage is the ultimate stress test. Is this the person you want to have as second in command on your ship?…

The best way from personal experience has been to lead a new group. Define a goal or mission that you can recruit people from other groups. Be passionate and intelligent about the mission. Be the leader you would follow and accept the fact that people will reject you and not follow right away. I've done this several times when having to start out and build a social circle in a new city over the years. The key for me has been authenticity. This is just one opinion and a path, not the path. Hope t…

Questions help the context of the relationship. What is her / your age? How long have you been together? Do you live together Has she branch swung before? Has she cheated or had this behavior before in previous relationships? Over all, if she's seeking validation or emotional connection with an orbiting male, she's going to do it with or without you. It's also why I don't live with a woman unless I'm married. Makes the ability to walk away real and not a mess of her testing how much drama you ar…

Don't do it. It's not worth the sex, attention or any "benefits". These women are broke and will eventually turn their issues into a topic of conversation where you are now one of the following: 1: The emotional dumping ground for her cycle of up and down. Dealing with the never ending problem of a broken women who was most likely sexually, physically and emotionally abused at a variety of levels. 2: You become the outlet for her distinction and now are an emotional replacement for her father. If you have a loyal wife who listens and desires to fulfill her role by polishing her man and being a good mother, keep her. N-count before marriage was 3, after divorcing a cheating wife I left to travel and date a bunch of women. Made a point to not sleep with any of the women I dated and was focused on going out on as many dates as possible. Whether they were 20 or 50, it was really difficult to find a quality woman. This was not a hypothetical question, it's what I let happen to my marriage. When it first happened, I thought it happened to me. As time progressed and I learned more about this community I realized I let it happen to myself. Years later I realize she did me a favor and I was able to reset my life and lead from the front. Yes, she traded in for a different relationship. Now from a distance I can see how she was looking for a softer provider that would comfort her needs as she aged into the midd…

Strongly suggest a "privacy" versus "secrecy" policy in any relationship. Privacy Privacy Is About Personal Boundaries. She has a daily process of being a human. It requires mundane minutia that is not essential to sharing. Secrecy Locked Doors Lead To Lies. If she feels the need to lock doors or have passwords that she isn't comfortable sharing then it's a signal of something serious. She will hide to prevent herself from being hurt. Through the pain of personal experience I've setup relationsh…

"I don't want a divorce but can't stay married." - that doesn't sound like you know what you want. Before I divorced I knew in less than 3 days exactly what I wanted as an outcome. Ex was cheating and setting up an exit plan for alimony. Found out via her new phone and passwords. - Made the call to file and served in less than a week. The more time you waiver around with your leadership, IMHO you are setting yourself up for a really crappy situation. Personally, could have waited and left with a…
