My biggest fear in life is not to be the loser who is blaming everyone and accepting he/she will remain a forever alone. You won't be. This is temporary.

It's the sheer insecurity that I can't have her with my current skillset That's neediness, dude. You're seeking validation. You're longing for a girl to let you know you're valuable the way you are right now. To accept you for who you are -- your current "skill set." Looking to a woman to lay your insecurity to rest is neediness.

There is no "doing right" and "doing wrong" with women, really. Sure, there are some approaches and tactics that tend to be more successful than others, but there's not some mystical code or step-by-step formula of attracting a woman. There's only being genuine and finding someone who is mutually attracted to you, which is in large part just playing a numbers game. You crashed on your face primarily because you're trying to manipulate people and show up other people. You're not genuinely interes…

When people have large egos and a general disdain for meaningful communication with other humans. :) Lol downvote all you want, but ghosting is behavior of immature people with a genuine communication problem. Consider yourself lucky. Having hard conversations and communicating through disagreeable, tense times is the most important part of any successful relationship, so if someone can't do that, it's probably a good thing they left your life.

Stop thinking about it, primarily. Stop watching porn, period. It causes the brain to make weird associations. It can take some time for that connection to correct itself. Best thing you can do is not lose confidence. This shit happens to every guy at some point, even in relationships often. Stay healthy and exercise. Eat right. Lay off alcohol and weed. Be in the moment with the girl when the time comes; don’t be thinking about finishing or performing. Just be into her, in that moment. Make som…

A lot of it has to do with age and life just tending to be more stressful as you get older, so you end up smoking while you’re already in an anxious mindset. Weed tends to exaggerate your current state of mind, depending on strain. But yeah, my experience was similar. I smoked pretty heavily daily for years, dialed it down for 6-8 months, and weed just makes me super anxious any time I smoke now.

The date isn't about you. And seriously try to think of one person you know who frequently brags, then tell me with a straight face you enjoy hanging out with them. Inevitably, you're going to start with small talk. It sucks and honestly nobody likes it, but it's the only avenue to go deeper. As you move through the small talk, you need to inch toward figuring out what excites the girl -- if you can't seem to do that organically or nonchalantly, then fuck it...flat out ask what excites her these…

Good. I got shut down by someone I really liked and was pissed for a few days. Asked another girl out about a week later and we hit it off...been dating for a while now with zero complaints and both aligned on what we want. It happens.

Meh. Life goes on. You could meet someone tomorrow who is equally attractive to you and also wants what you want. Lots of possibilities out there my dude.
/r/seduction28/02/18 07:18 PM

That's certainly true. If you feel like the person/situation would be making emotional withdrawals without equally making some emotional deposits, that's always a losing situation even if it has some temporary, short term benefits. Literally the definition of emotionally draining when you put it in "transaction" terms.

You begin to view yourself as worthy of existence and happiness. Everything else falls in place when you look in the mirror and come to grips with the fact that you're enough. You're enough to deserve a happy relationship. You're enough to deserve success. You're enough to deserve feeling like enough. Until you genuinely acknowledge that, you'll struggle.

Still shit. Again, it's one thing to not be attracted to a person based on superficial genetic characteristics; it's another to look them in the face and say you wouldn't date them for having those characteristics.
/r/seduction27/02/18 02:22 AM

Whether it's racism or not, why would you want to be with someone that shallow anyway? It's one thing to have that in your mind or a somewhat innate preference; it's another to express it openly to a person of a different ethnicity. Pretty shit personality and mentality overall.

Not doomed at all. Go do fun shit you like, ask people on dates. Your life is barely happening in high school and college to be honest. It's fun, but you hardly have money to do anything you want, pick up hobbies, go out with friends, or, most importantly, become your own person. I'm in an urban area, but it's not a huge city. Most of my friends didn't meet their SO's or wives in high school or college. Most were 23-25, and a number of my friends at 27-28 are still just dating around. This ain't…

Pretty much, unless there’s a good reason. In my early days, I was a pushover and didn’t have many options. It bit me in the ass many times. Not saying I haven’t caved since getting more confident and more options, but it was only because they made a significant investment after the flake without me doing anything.

I feel like you think that I’m way more invested in this girl than I actually am. Possibly. It just tends to be the case when people take time out of their day to ask random strangers what they should do in a certain scenario with a girl. Would it be terrible if I invited her first just as a chance for her to redeem herself because she did reach out first after flaking. If she declined for whatever reason I would have no problem nexting her because I honestly don’t see a future with her either T…

Unless it was a legit emergency, just move on for the time being. If she decided to hang with friends, got drunk somewhere else, blah blah, don't waste your energy. If you cross paths again down the road, consider it. But truthfully, even if you manage to continue and get dates with her moving forward, being flaked on is bothersome and people will tell you to swallow your pride and not care about it. Not that simple. It influences your perception of her and starts things off on the wrong foot, w…

She knows you think that, which is why she doesn't give a shit about you already. If another hot girl walked up to you and grabbed your balls right this second, would you care about this girl? You think she's cool, yet she thinks you're not worth an hour or two of her entire life. You need more options. You're already in too deep with this one, turn back before you get mindfucked...spare yourself the trouble.

Probably not much. People are fickle when it comes to dating. Could have been literally anything. Perhaps work on things that give you confidence. You're a virgin, because you lack confidence to approach women. It's quite a simple puzzle really. In any case, I don't know why you've created this illusion in your head that every person loses their virginity before 18 or that your situation is so ungodly horrible. The fact of reality is that the average male loses his virginity at about age 17; females average slightly older. That's the AVERAGE, which means tons of people fall above and below t…

_____Part 1______ If you're a quiet person, introverted, whatever...there's nothing to be insecure about. A large portion of the world is introverted and live perfectly successful lives. Even many CEOs and world-renowned musicians and entertainers trend to the introverted side of the spectrum. They still get up in front of hundreds or thousands of people and do the job. The insecurity around coming across as quiet or introverted is something worth working on rationalizing away. It's difficult in…

Without this situation I would probably never embark on a mission to correct these flaws. That's the best approach you can take. You won't find a guy here who's been in "the game" for a while who also doesn't have a story almost identical to yours. You probably won't find any guy in a serious relationship or married who couldn't reflect and think back to a oneitis type of situation. Sometimes it works out, a lot of times it doesn't. I’m constantly fearing being replaced by someone better. You need to dig in and find where this feeling comes from, then start addressing it through action and rational thought. It's the root of this post and your anxiety for two reasons, I'll suggest. ___1)___ You have a negative core belief that you're not "enough" for her, and so you conclude she's going to go out and find someone who is "enough." Maybe she's an anxious person and she avoids attachment. Maybe she just sucks at texting/Snap. That's not ghosting, really. There's no way to know with Tinder. Most people aren't on there for any genuine reason; it's just a superficial time waster for most. And most women are pretty hesitant to push forward with anything cause the Internet's full of crazy assholes. Can't really answer your question though. How much do you value your time relative to this individual? There's your answer. Don't put it on a pedestal, but there's no harm in being a bit persistent for a little while and keepin…

1) No. You're 22 and your situation isn't as uncommon as you seem to think. The vast majority of guys who aren't virgins really haven't had THAT much sex at your age -- certainly not as much as they would brag about. There are plenty of guys your age who haven't been in a serious relationship with regular sex. They may have had some fuck buddy's or hookups, sure, but it's not like everyone your age is swimming in pussy. They're not. It's not as if you're at 0 and everyone else is at 99/100. It's…

You're right about keeping my self busy. I have so much free time right now all I do is work for 6 hours a week, watch 30 hours of netflix, lift, eat, and hangout with friends. Nothing else really. Problem A. It's not so much about staying busy as it is about finding things you give a shit about, having goals, expressing passion, etc. You're writing this as if you're bored as fuck with life -- and you probably are. Need a place and a time. Vagueness gives people anxiety. Open-ended plans means they can make other plans with people they're more comfortable hanging out with -- they will. If you're not sure where you're going and what time at this point, then when will you know? Don't be indecisive or hesitant. You could try the common: "Hey blah blah I'm going to be at [place] Friday at [time] if you want to join." Both direct and indicates you're not planning your life around her saying yes. It's one of the highest selling books of all time and a leader in the self-help category for decades. Any summary you read is going to seem like a no-brainer; the value of the book is in the real-world stories told throughout and the context those stories place around the fundamental principles of how you actually make deposits in peoples' emotional "bank accounts". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Win_Friends_and_Influence_People#Major_sections_and_points

Then you don't actually care about improving. I mean, seriously, it might take you two weeks to finish that book. And less than that to start genuinely understanding the fundamental shift in thought you need to be more social and influential in peoples' lives. Please god no. Lol. That's kind of weird. You're overthinking. There's no message that's going to make that much of a difference. She might remember, she might not. Either way, what does it matter? If you build attraction now, the past is irrelevant. It's been 7 years... A simple "[her name]!" will do if you're that concerned about not being remembered -- this can be taken as a completely fresh open, but if she remembers you, then it'll seem like you're excited to cross paths again. Well, don't let me kill your vibes, but you're sitting here bouncing between two girls while expecting someone else to commit 100%. And giving them ultimatums that you'll hit the road if they don't commit ASAP, as if you're so committed. Don't you find that a bit hypocritical? And honestly, with that context, the ultimatums come across more as neediness than confidence. I mean, I totally get the abundance mentality approach and all. Well, let's see. Someone opening a snap and not replying isn't uncommon. It's pretty typical. She could have been out doing something or been busy and didn't feel like snapping a picture, then forgot. Or she laughed at the joke and just didn't feel it needed a reply. Then you waited 8 days to speak to her. If a girl ignored you for 8 days after a first date, then texted you out of the blue, what would you do? Stop reading this subreddit if it gave you confidence waiting that long was a good idea…

Unless they don't have time. Being an adult is busy and there are inevitably going to be higher priorities sometimes that make dating impractical. It's not terribly uncommon for people in their 20s right now to be working two jobs or working full time and going to school...10-14 hours a day. Perhaps that translates into not being interested, but I don't think so. You can be attracted to someone and just not be in a place to date at the moment. Happens all the time.

See that’s what some of my friends had said but others had said the complete opposite. That's because no two people are identical and no two situations are the same. Man, the answer is it depends and no one here can guide you in either direction with any level of certainty. You just have to pick up the cues as you hang with her. How strong is the mutual connection, especially physical? On the other hand, if two people click and really like each other I don’t think there’s as big a need to wait a…

i liked the girl once i had chance to develop relationship with her i started not seeing her as attractive. Normal. Let the thought pass, don't dwell on it. At the beginning, everyone does mental tests to see if the person they're dating is up to their standards. Even in an exclusive relationship you'll have those thoughts early on. You're overthinking and calculating. There's no text response that's going to swoon her or significantly alter where she's at mentally. Proper response is quite simple: either no response at all (cause you have other things to do than sit around worrying about a text message) or a very casual "cool, maybe I'll call you in a few days." The ball is already in her court; if she wants to play, she'll pick it up and start chasing you a bit. If she doesn't want to play, so be it. Then go date someone …

Now that you point it out, yes, i agree, but like i said i would most likely tease her about it and laugh at this guy for being a niceguy/whiteknight. This is a good approach if it's genuine. I do think there's plenty of credence to doing a "hands off" approach in these situations. Being insecure and clingy often has the opposite of the effect you desire for sure. That's my thinking. Being possessive is a different animal than acknowledging red flags. Being possessive is like...questioning why she liked a certain IG picture, or who the guy is liking her IG posts. Agree with all this. The only exception I would take is that, personally, it's a bit strange for a woman in a committed relationship to go to dinner and movie alone with another guy. Unless they've been friends for a long time or there is some specific reason to go out in that fashion, I've got to say that's off-putting. You don't. Nobody likes a person who ever talks about how much money they have or don't have. You could imply it by taking her nice places, driving a nice car, having a nice house/apartment, wearing nice clothes/accessories, etc. But there's no means of explicitly stating you have a lot of money without it coming across as douchey, insecure, etc. People who have high value tend to have more money than the average person. Table seating sucks for first/early dates. Always try to get a bar seat...and yeah, that could take a little research. Obviously, every single woman isn't identical and all of this eventually comes down to trial and error and putting things into practice in the real-world, but that doesn't mean there's zero value in hearing a range of perspectives about what does and doesn't work. There are certainly patterns to be aware of and understood, even if every scenario isn't identical down to the most minute details. If there weren't patt…

Women aren't like deer. Kind of a silly analogy. Communicating with other humans and asking what appeals to them isn't so outrageous as you've made it out to be.

Short and with absolutely no outcome in mind. Tinder is trivial, petty, and superficial to the max. Be funny, get a number, text a bit to get more comfortable, ask to meet up. If there's hesitation, move on. Vast majority of Tinder connections aren't interested in meeting up; they're interested in knowing that other people might want them. The nature of being on Tinder is plainly that people aren't particularity trying to "get to know" people, generally speaking. There's a reason it has the repu…

Think it's fine to open up about past relationships...what worked or didn't work, what you liked or didn't like about the person, etc. But it should probably be done with the intention of just communicating to the person you're currently dating what you're looking for. It shouldn't a humblebrag or too much of the conversation, and obviously shouldn't be a "I miss her so much!" kind of vibe. You can show a lot of maturity by letting a person know your past relationships haven't be characterized b…

In a sense, but so do you as a guy. There are some girls things are just “off” with and some that things are just “on” with. Usually if it’s off both people can sense it subconsciously which usually keeps things from moving forward.

Therapist, friend. Reddit is great for advice, but you need consistent cognitive behavioral therapy to turn negative core beliefs into positive ones. The brain is no different than any other organ. Blegh. I've done it, but it's pointless. The plain fact is the attraction just isn't there at that time and there's no particularly logical explanation for why attraction didn't form or continue. Attraction can be influenced to some degree, but it's very primal in nature as well. It's not a logical experience. I mean, sure maybe it's something "wrong" with you, but who gives a shit? Online dating proves nothing, ever. It's a shallow, superficial method of finding women. It's not without its uses, but you can't extrapolate really anything meaningful from experiences in online dating -- especially today with how fickle and over-saturated that stuff is. First step is to stop comparing yourself to others (what's the point?) and the next step is to stop talking down to yourself (what's the point?).

the concept that we will meet each other for the first time with some intent of dating from the get go seems odd to me. It's not. That's why people go on dates. It's less common in college, sure, since you're always around people your age, parties, etc. and get to know people in those settings beforehand usually. But as soon as you're out of college, dating becomes far more intentional. This isn't really abnormal. Plain and simple: people generally don't go on dates with someone they're not at l…

The rate of success is still very low compared to real-life approaching. But generally on Instagram or Facebook, you can build somewhat of a case for yourself slowly by engaging what they post, finding some common ground, doing some small talk in comments, then DMs/messenger, etc. It's still a long-shot to getting a date, but it has worked for me (never on Facebook, but a handful of times on Instagram).

There's a lot of value in simply getting sexually comfortable and experienced. At your age, that should really be your "goal" (not goal per se, but you should be content if that's all things amount to, because you're "leveling up" for when you get into more serious relationships down the road). Start by killing the belief that "game" is some tangible object you can lose. Game is nothing but having confidence in who you are as a human being, then going out and presenting that to as many women as possible until you cross paths with one who is attracted to you. Pretty much anything works if she's attracted to you and cares about your opinion. So much of the advice in this subreddit glosses over the simple fact that a girl who is attracted to you -- on a fundamental level -- doesn't need to be manipulated into liking you. I don’t disagree, but there are many legitimate reasons people wouldn’t be able to move.
/r/seduction28/12/17 02:21 PM

Sure. Austin is flooding with young single adults. Most cities aren’t experiencing that and most people would have trouble just jumping ship and moving across the country.
/r/seduction27/12/17 05:46 PM
4

Again, it sounds like you’re describing acquaintances. Friendship is quite a bit deeper than coincidentally coming across someone you briefly met previously. Getting acquaintances as an adult is cake. Turning acquaintances into meaningful friendships is difficult in practice.
/r/seduction27/12/17 04:48 AM
5

That’s a far reach from a friend. Anyone can make acquaintances easily, sure. Making friends requires frequent interaction and proximity — outside of work, that’s more difficult to find as an adult. Of course the advice you’re giving isn’t bad or wrong. And yes, the process is straightforward. But in practice, being straightforward doesn’t mean it’s simple or easy to be effective.
/r/seduction27/12/17 04:30 AM
7

Well, it’s a very common struggle for adults, especially those in their late 20s and 30s. So that’s great that you don’t struggle in that department, but it’s obviously not a walk in the park for many people or there wouldn’t be frequent posts here asking for advice on the topic.

This. This is my problem. I used to not give a fuck about anything to do with girls. She hadn't messaged me that day? Whatever, she will. Seems distant and cold? Next. Now it's like.. "She hasn't messaged me in a couple of hours?.. I bet she's lost interest.. I bet she doesn't care, etc. etc. I should message her to try and get a reply".Cringe. This is separation anxiety and probably coupled with you falling into an anxious/fearful-avoidant attachment style (Google it). Totally normal after a lo…

IMHO the #1 problem guys have is they don't listen, then wonder why they get ghosted later or never make it to the 2nd date. I would say this is a huge one with real life approaching and dating. With online dating, it may simply be physical because people process photos differently than how you actually look. But overall, I’d agree with that. Guys feel like they have to lead and they place a lot of expectation on the date instead of just being present in the moment. I’d say between not truly lis…

Don’t say you don’t see you two being friends or that you want more than that (especially via text). That means you’re invested in her and the outcome — which isn’t totally a bad thing, but it is if you’re that open and blatant about it. At that point, you’re too easy and there’s no chase or building of attraction. That approach means you hit the climax of the interaction well before you’ve built the first few levels of attraction and interest from her. Too much pressure, easy to say no to. Fran…

Not weird. Do that if you can’t catch him when he’s not busy. Don’t hesitate about it either. Just be forward and up front. Guys are dumb, we don’t do subtle hints. But just about anything will work, honestly, if you’re clear and upfront.

4) Fuck someone else who’s hot and form a connection with them. You’re being naive and silly if you think any single human on this Earth isn’t replaceable when it comes to sex and relationships. Everyone is replaceable. Only exception is maybe marriage where you should be flexible and compromise to a good degree. At this stage, you just gotta get out more dude. The longer you hold this belief, the longer it will take to find someone. Nobody is that special after such a fairly insignificant inter…

You think a warning isn’t going to make her feel awkward? Don’t do that. That’s just kind of odd and also shows a blatant lack of confidence. Go, have fun. If it doesn’t work, so be it. But you wouldn’t be the first short dude dating a taller girl. The quickest way to allow height to be a detriment in this is to make it one yourself.

I don’t know. I mean I’m not in a terribly different boat from you, but this stuff is so much of a purely numbers game and finding someone at the right time...it’s just kind of wrong to pin the blame on yourself. To me, it’s about 60% you and 40% the girl. There could be so many reasons she says no that literally have nothing to do with you. It’s not that you’re irrelevant to her, it’s just that it’s far easier for her to find a reason to say no.

I mean, three no's really isn't a lot, especially depending on the context of when/how you asked. But if it continues, I guess it's wise to assess yourself. It doesn't mean there's something "wrong" with you or "broken." But maybe it does mean you have room for progress somewhere. How you dress, how much you talk, how much you express emotions, physique, what topics you tend to bring up, how well you tell stories, how excited you seem to be, and generally how confidently you present yourself. Al…

It means nothing right now. She could be talking to her friends about how much she likes you as a person, but doesn't feel that "connection." Speaking from recent experience. So here's what you do...stop fucking it up lol She's a girl -- most girls hold back showing affection at least until you've made them comfortable showing physical affection. You've got to lead 99% of the time. If she's asking you to hang out or she's agreeing to hang out with you, she's interested. Do you regularly hang out…

This here is the answer. If you don't want to be a friend, do the things a friend wouldn't do. And do that from the beginning. If it's too forward, she'll let you know. But there's literally nothing to gain by playing it safe...she will rarely come to you unless she's super confident and has a lot of experience. The more you wait, the more you become a friend. Affection needs to be apparent and physical -- words and compliments only go so far (and not very far to begin with). Doesn't mean you ha…

Have you ever been hanging out with your best friend and sat in silence for a short period? Sure. You're not supposed to ramble the entire time you're with someone. If it happens consistently throughout the date, maybe you don't have much in common, which is fine. Or you're both nervous and the mind blanks in those situations. Early in dating, it's of course pretty awkward, even knowing that both people are feeling the same level of awkwardness most likely. If this tends to happen to you and may…

I don't think I agree with this therapy stuff. First focus on improving yourself. So that you are happy with yourself and so that others are happy with you too. Going to therapy is improving yourself, just as going to the gym or hiring a personal trainer to help you achieve your fitness goals is improving yourself. There's nothing that carries more weight in approaching women and dating than genuinely being a happy, self-confident person who doesn't dwell on negativity. For many people, that has…

It probably wouldn't hurt, but it also isn't a solution. Insecurity, lack of confidence, and a genuine lack of self-esteem have nothing to do with how frequently you have sex. Frankly, the people who have tons of sexual partners are often lacking in these areas a lot. It is these things that are likely preventing you from having sex, simply because it's impossible to reach that point with another human if you can't work up the confidence to even speak with them and form some level of a genuine c…

How is being your "friend" around all that divorcee drama any different that being a dating while fucking around all that drama? What? You don't think being intimate and in a relationship with someone who isn't even officially divorced is different from them being cordial and friends? I can't imagine many people wanting to be seriously involved with someone who isn't officially divorced. That's asking quite a lot of a person.

Stop assuming her thoughts, especially in a negative light. What evidence do you have that she views you as needy? What’s the point of assuming someone isn’t into you? That’s just going to make you insecure. Unless you have some damning evidence that she is less attracted and views you as needy, knock that shit off. If somebody makes out with you, then agrees to another date, there’s a pretty solid chance they’re into you. I mean...think about it lol

Hot girls already have friends and guys coming after them left and right. They don't go to Meetups all that often. The point of Meetups, really, is to occupy your time so you're not sitting around your house all day wishing that chick would text you, learn something new, get used to being social, get used to carrying conversations, get used to listening to others, practice your ability to find a genuine interest in other peoples' lives, etc. It's not a dating website. Hell, I'm no expert. Just my opinion. You've made it clear you're interested, so what more can you do? In a situation like that, it's almost always better to pull back rather than show more investment. Two outcomes: either it ends there and you don't waste your time or she feels the need to invest to bring you back in at which time you decide if the game is worth playing.

Not so fun rule: You should move on pretty much any time "I like you, but" is used. "I like you, but I'm just seeing how things go for now." "I like you, but I'm not sure I want a relationship right now." Bullshit. She's probably not a 10/10, you're just recently divorced. Play the field, there are women who wouldn't be opposed to this arrangement. Doesn't mean you have to explicitly cut her off or make a big scene out of it. Why is that wrong? That was the whole point in his initial approach, wasn't it...to find a partner or intimacy? Not a friend. He probably has friends already. Why invest time and energy into people who can't give you what you desire at that time (unless you're just bored or want to for some random reason)? Get a therapist, friend. You likely won't break this on your own. You need a completely neutral point of view to rip your thoughts out of your head, put them on a piece of paper, break them down and show you precisely why they're irrational and unproductive. They'll have the cognitive therapy tools to help you do that. Don't put it off. There's zero shame in hiring someone to re-train your mind the same as you would anything else. Could be. If that’s the case, that’s really not anyone else’s problem. You need to either place yourself in situations you care more about, or drop the ego and realize that everyone has something unique and interesting about them. Even a 4 year old can tell you something interesting that happened to them — and the onus is on you to choose to be interested or pry more out of them. Otherwise, yeah you’re kind of an assface.

So far I have not asked anyone out since I am afraid of rejection. Not trying to be rude. That fear is common and very real for many guys (and girls), but it's never going away until you simply tell it to fuck off and do what you need to do to reach the goal you want to reach.
