This is a great point! Where I live, a daily walk in the woods is so woven into the culture that it's not even worth mentioning, and they usually don't even go camping or skiing. But deep down we all know that it's pushed in the beginning so you don't expect a proper diner for a first date.

This is exactly how navigating OLD is in Switzerland. They present hobbies and the obvious as personality traits. "I like the outdoors" when it's literally part of the culture here. "I like to eat, I love discussions but also silence".... My all-time favourite is "I like to cook but only when I'm hungry". And then if you say something slightly deep, they try to turn you into their smart monkey for pure entertainment.

No offence but it pisses me off when I see women answering politely these assholes. The conversation should have stoped at "the mom is very immature". You don't owe him an explanation, or a warning, or an advice .

His idea was he could do anything I was doing as if I didn't have a right to specialization. It's as if I told him "Oh you know how those big construction machines work? I'm sure I can learn how to repair them after 2 or 3 videos on Youtube". Absolute disrespect to my talent and professional experience. He ended up cheating on me and I made him suffer for it (it's a story for another time).

I'm a writer, he's a mechanical engineer. During the relationship, my articles started to be quite popular in my country, so he said "I know I can do the same". This is someone who made 4x what I made, yet he felt the need to imply that good writing isn't actually a craft that you hone your whole fucking life, and a real competence with which you can make a living. Of course he couldn't do it. I've read his travel journals... most boring prose I have ever seen.

He 100% knew you were going to show the message to someone, that's why he added "especially the abusive behaviour" at the end so YOU look like the bad guy. I get major gaslighting vibes from this scrote, so good riddance. And yeah, a loving partner will accept and tolerate every flaw because love is about dealing with a whole human being.

Islam caused me a lot of severe trauma and all I have to tell her is that's the worst faith she could marry into; it's bad enough for the women who were born into it. The world is full of males, I don't understand women who get themselves in difficult situations with the worst specimens...

The big massive red flag is how he worships his mom. I get love and respect for a parent, but a man who wants his woman to be basically a slave to his mom is a biiiiiig no no. Where I come from it's one of the reasons women don't want to be married.

I had this happen to me last week: a toxic psychopathic piece of shit found a way to my DM after almost 4 years of me blocking him everywhere on social media. He tried to provoke me asking if my husband knew that he was the 34th dick I had sat on. The same asshole mocked me ressetlessly for having been raped by 3 men at 15. It's not sex per se that is the issue, they only shame you when YOU choose it.

"I'm not mad" repeated more than twice is what abusive parents say to signify "you fucked up but thank me for not hitting you". I don't understand those scrotes. Why don't they simply buy a fuck doll? They want free sex AND be spared the parts that remind them they're doing it with a human being.

They know fully well that when they truly love they don't count. When they say otherwise, they are just lowering expectations for the women they just want to use for sex. They secretly despise you when you don't put a high price on your presence, because as the cowards they are this is how they rationalize damaging you: YOU categorized yourself as cheap goods. France is the country that authorizes the most disgusting rhetoric in the name of free speech and being a "country of debate", yet bans a book like this because it inconveniences the dominant culture. They spent decades celebrating, funding, publishing and promoting a self-proclaimed pedophile - as in, he writes in his journals published by one of the big houses in Paris how delicious it is to sodomize an 8 years old Filipino boy (NYT), and it took one of his victims to write about her trauma fo…

100% this! It drives me insane, it's a different kind of "I'm not like other girls" bullshit! It perpetuates the patriarchal idea that any traditionally feminine activity is not important, therefore not worthy of remuneration. I cook a lot as a hobby, and everytime I mention it to a woman she reduces me to that; I write in different languages for a living and I'm known in my field, sometimes I'm even paid to write my opinions, but the second I talk passionately about a dish it becomes "have you …

Those people want the perks of marriage without the legal obligations. They want the presence, the emotional support, the sex, etc. but will deny you the financial security that comes with marriage. And if you dare state the obvious you're a gold digger.

Why do people make a big fuss about marriage? When both parties get into it with good intentions, it can only be beneficial for everyone involved. My husband is currently working on his PhD while also working a demanding job 4 days a week. I work on a book while doing freelance translating on the side (I can't do more because I'm still new to the country and I don't speak the language). And we started the procedure one year after we met (it was a LDR) and 6 months after that we were married. Pickmes and the NVM they worship have a weird sense of proportionality. A woman changes her mind about having sex? Of course she deserves to be throwned out, risk being raped and have her life seriously threatened. They keep saying that sex is not a big deal... So following this logic, when faced with a "no", one should carry on with their life until they find a willing partner. All they do is give men the right to inflict permanent trauma because they can't handle refusal.

This is very true. Everytime I warned a friend about a LVM she's dating, I was accused of trying to ruin it for her so I can "steal" him. I'm thinking of a specific ex-friend who has extremely bad taste in men and with whom I had the same issue; one day she hurt me to the point of tears for unrelated reasons and this is when I ended the friendship, it stung because we were very close. This asshat loves to teach women how they live their lives so they don't turn up like his mom who, according to him, was physically violent when he was a child. Nothing makes you realize that there are worse things than loneliness than a abusive relationship. Everyone is free to like rough sex but the problem is that blurred lines in sexuality only benefit dangerous sickos. They'd break your jaw and call it sex. They'd rape tou and tell you sorry I'm rough like that. And if it's normalized, good luck proving to the police that you were not consenting.

First of all, a 35 years old man has no business befriending a woman 11 years younger than him. Second, he is mediocre in bed; if the first time was just okay, know that it's only getting worse from there, and instead of respecting your boundaries he guil-trips you. That's exactly what I did after a relationship with a literal psychopath. After I got up from a 6 months long crippling depression, I stopped dating and I focused on myself. LVM will try to play those games even if there is ZERO chance of any kind of romantic involvement between the two of you. They know what they're doing and they're doing it to inflate their ego. Something happened to me just recently. A bit of context: I'm estranged from my entire family and I live in a country of which I don't speak the language yet with my husband. I used to have a friend in another city but I cut him off once I realized how toxic he is. I still talk to my friends from my count…

That and the fact that the only woman walking with elegance and dignity in that video is a white woman (Kylie Jenner).

How inventive! I bet he's a doormat IRL playing an "alpha male" fantasy in his head.

My father is a very misogynistic manipulative man who was plagued by 5 daughters. He used to beat my mother and kids. Everyday I honor her by not bending my back to any piece of shit.

That's a pretty precise description of my father.

He didn't write it for everyone, he's negging the weak women who will swipe right on him to prove him wrong.

He is willing to lower his OWN standards of living just so his little manly peepee can feel superior to her. What an idiot, I'm glad she's divorcing his ass.

I'm 33 years old now and happily married. I've been with much older men in my 20's who abused me one way or another. No one could have convinced me to not be with those creeps because they were giving me the love - or at least the illusion of it - that I didn't have at home. Now I feel dirty, forever tarnished by those men. I wish I had more dignity and self respect and a support group who would talk me out of those relationships. The biggest regret is that I gave my body to them and I have nigh…

There was a televised prank in my home country where a woman faked leaving her 10 years old daughter in a café, and a guy who played a pedophile groomed her into going with him somewhere. The prank was played on the people sitting down who could hear the conversations and it was pretty obvious what was going on. Not a single man intervened! Some of them asked the girl if she knew the man and that was it! Until two women went ape shit crazy on the guy who played the pedophile and told him she's n…

You did good. If you keep him around it means he still matters to you, that his opinion is so valuable that you need to prove yourself to him. And I LOOOOVE blocking people abruptly, it feels so empowering, it sends the final message :"it probably will hurt you but your feelings are not as important as mine".

You're describing a former friend who would disappear half year after a fuck up from her part and come back all bubbly as if nothing happened. I ended up broking it off over something stupid: we were discussing the movie Gone Girl and she was shocked that I empathize with Amy (don't wanna spoil much), and I added that in the book you have a full understanding of her wrath. She said that I always act as if I knew everything (I'm a writer, she's a singer) and she started raising her voice iny apar…

I can relate. I didn't expect at all that I would end up being married to a guy who doesn't get hard from driving me crazy, and that it would be my happiest and most rewarding relationship.

I have a hard time believing that someone who is really on the spectrum would share it with a neurotypical this early. I am on the spectrum myself and I learned the hard way that it's one of those attributes that are weaponized against you more often than not, especially in relationships when, for example, everytime I reacted to blatant abuse I was called "a retard who doesn't get it". There's even an asshole who told me that asperger's was the reason I was raped. So now I keep it to myself, unl…

He's bullshiting you. He told you that so you'd think that his manipulations are just quirks, and that he's a poor thing totally incapable of faking it. He smelled the vulnerability in you that's why he's using you. My guess is you opened up to him about your insecurities way too early, or he knew about them somewhere. No reasonable person would ask a big favor and money from someone they just met, unless they are a con artist. I mean, I bet you would never do it, so you shouldn't accept it from…
