My main gripe with social movements in general is that they tend to be selfishly motivated, and that no one seems to be aware of that. I feel like this is a bit overanalytical, in the same vein that Sarkisian's videos were. They oversimplified complex games like Zelda and blew simple games like Mario out of proportion. In A History of Tom Jones: A Foundling there is also a dispute over domestic violence and whether or not the incident was mutual and who provoked it, and it also brought up that the woman was believed unanimously by all of the other women there. I was really surprised to see an issue that is a concern here today to appear that early in English literature.

I almost gave up reading when the one person flat out denied that sexual dimorphism is a thing. I know we don't know the full implications, but we do know that sex hormones have large affects on fetal development, and that the endocrine system is fairly deeply entwined with the neurological system. I'm not disagreeing, I just think that the phrasing was a bit weird. Saying "Girl interloper" while not meant with the intent of malice to women, could be easily misconstrued. Now, that being said, I really wouldn't want to see people twisting the words. The phrasing is really susceptible to misconstruing though.

Agreed. I would hate my freedom of speech to be violated, so I'd fight for anyone else's, regardless of how much I disagree with them. Hell I'd protect the KKK's right to speech so long as they don't actively talk violence. I think the ACLU had the right idea there. I think I may be a bit extreme in my ideals though...

What "rape apology" method is this analogous for? Because, from what it is saying here it looks like the analogy actually might be related to real rape apology, and not stuff like alcohol over-consumption by personal choice, then reporting rape. What I have never understood is why people complain about the activity/passivity of a character (Like complaining about weak female characters), so long as the character is well developed. If your character is a housewife, but is written like a person with realistic feelings, who the hell should care? I agree with you, but, as I read it, the first definition means approximately the same thing, but restricts the system to family and makes the wording less harsh. I think it is inconsistent, but its not as bad as it could be. The definition could state that matriarchy is a perfect political system, if the class got into worse hands.

From most of Jesus's encounters with women, as taken from literal interpretation of the Bible, he does not acknowledge them as women, but simply as people, as he does males, unless the situation mandates that he would acknowledge them being women to be fair. I tried watching the Tropes v Women video. I stopped when I saw comments were disabled.
