Hi, /r/MensRights,

I'm looking for sources on the wage gap statistic, and if I am correct in my recollection, the reason the two statistic groups (Those used by the MRM and those used by anyone arguing otherwise) differ is because the statistics are analyzed differently. This is only if I remember correctly, so please by all means correct me if I am wrong, but the analysis methods for the data which states women are paid less is a flat average, which doesn't take into account people choosing different jobs. The statistic I see here that states women are paid more might then be done by averaging pay in individual jobs, then multiplying that pay by percentage of population with that job. Please, by all means correct any mistakes I have made interpreting the situation. Anyway, I still need sources that explain this when I talk to people, and the more the merrier, but I'm looking for any that can currently be accessed online for free so I can easily have links to them. Thanks for any help.
