I say intermediate because I've been lifting on for 5-6 years Shoulder injury keeps me from overhead pressing and benching too heavily but my deadlift is at 250 and my squat is at 200. Just got my bench up to 200 again and my overhead press is a measly 30 lbs not including the bar.

Exactly I like to hit the gym hard and get my cardio in light before and steady after and 2 hours just to lift just isn't my ideal plan

I've been training for awhile I just get bored of the same old song and dance. I did Sean Haywards 12 week upper/lower split for awhile and I liked that it, just wasn't intense enough for me. The best program was the Mad Scientist muscle it tore me to bits. I'll check these out though thank you.

Your friends who say that it's fine to play video games probably play video games and they probably don't play in moderation. Video games are an opiate for the mind. I'm playing them right now actually. But I've recently started playing piano and studying to be an electrician every day. Sure it's possible but if you're a "hardcore" gamer (whatever that means) you aren't going to just up and stop playing them and stick to a moderate way of enjoying them. Give your console to a friend or just unpa…

Funny I'm the opposite it's incredibly easy for me to build friendships with men as I'm just really charismatic... But as soon as I start talking to a chick I feel like I need to accomplish something. RP has helped tremendously but it takes some time and practice.

Some people can drop that kind of cash.... I'm in college and if I spent 200 on a pair of shoes I'd regret it lol

As someone who was the fat kid in school I get it. Thing is it's over and if you keep living in the past you'll stay there. Lift, read, learn and rise from the ashes of depression and become a Phoenix of pure bad assery. When they see you they'll be blown away while most of them have gotten fat and stupid you'll be a god in comparison.

Lack of intelligence has nothing to do with emotional control. You can be calm and do something stupid. Some men lack logic it's pretty common if you talk to people. True Scotsman fallacy here.

Also like I said try a form of Martial arts. Lifting can be boring and learning to kick the shit out of someone can be a lot of fun and build confidence.

If you like lifting find peeps that like to lift? If you like anything someone else probably likes it. Check online for groups of people in your area that share your interests. Or maybe expand your own?

Purpose is waking up and feeling like you gotta do something. For me it's going to the gym and making myself happy doing things I like to do while exploring new hobbies or doing something I like to do. Teach yourself to play chess and play with people. Go to a hobby shop and hang with people there. Go to a gathering and not even participate ask questions and relate to other human beings dude. Your path is your own nobody can walk it for you they can just help guide you in the right direction.

Saying never is just a lazy persons way to get out of saying "I don't need to" you don't need to get in shape, you don't need to make more friends you don't need any of these things. Get out of your comfort zone and take it step by step. Don't just fucking give all of these things up or you'll relapse and go back to them. Play videogames every other day or whatever just focus on not being so pathetic. You're literally looking for pity in a place where pity is not accepted. Change yourself and ge…

Stop looking back so much. You wasted the time but you're wasting time now thinking about the time that was wasted. You have people swallowing the pill at age 30 and seeing improvement. You're probably like me where you want results faster than you'll get them. These things take time and the more time you waste the worse it'll get. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, meditate, read, create. Give yourself purpose and you'll see that these moments you've spent being down will give you the structure t…

Stick your index and middle finger straight out almost as if you're trying to feel his pulse. Sounds fucking weird but it will make it harder to crush your hand. Try it out with a friend first if you don't believe me but an MMA instructor showed it to me and I do it with everyone I meet

I'm in the midst of this anger phase. Trying to alleviate it with monk mode... It's slowly passing but maybe you have a recommendation for dealing with this anger? I was fucked up for about 2 years over my ex just living in a pool of self pity before a friend of mine guided me here awhile ago but I dismissed the page. But I came back out of curiosity and now Im doing my best to submerge myself in these ideas. These posts have helped me start to change my life I've begun waking up at 6:30 every d…

/r/TheRedPill04/11/15 06:55 PM

If he's your bud I would show him support. I'm friends with a lot of musicians and it helps them out more than you may realize.... Besides if they get big that will definitely benefit you. Definitely don't apologize though, he's being a little bitch. Bring a chick or just stick around for his set and leave you don't have to drink.

You're right man I deleted my Facebook app and all my other social media apps on my phone, even snapchat. Reddit only from now on. I've been meaning to start reading again anyway.

I can't offer any advice, I'm in the same boat brother. My only advice is to remove the temptation of checking these sites and apps from your phone. I'm considering it but it's kind of hard when it's so ingrained into our daily lives. While I myself am struggling with it, this seems to be the most reasonable course of action. I apologize I'm rather new to TRP but this post was too familiar with my situation to not comment on.
