1) You didn't provide that in the original post, so you need to give more details in the future if you want decent feedback / commentary from people who are trying to help YOU out 2) Given your condesensing attitude, you probably don't deserve the help or advice but I'm going to look beyond that. Dating isnt just about "shit tests" and trying to come up with the perfect witty response. Sometimes you need to take a step back and just be a person and look at it from her point of view. Worst case s…

For the second suggestion I agree I was setting myself up for rejection
/r/seduction17/03/15 03:40 PM

I agree. She wasnt on the app very long and didn't have great pictures. I messaged her out of a common interest. It wasn't until I saw her Facebook and met her in person that I realised the level of attractiveness

I'm curious, what makes you say I appear to be interested in a relationship?
/r/seduction17/03/15 03:37 PM

Some I do, Some I don't. Girls aren't robots that you can just lay the same routines on or make blanket statements about. Different girls respond to different things. For one reason or another you seem to think I'm some sort of pussy who can't deal the deal, which is fine, but that's not the case. Some I take home and fuck the first date. Some I wait till the second to kiss, and the third to fuck.
/r/seduction16/03/15 03:49 PM
1

As far as not kissing her goes – I rarely kiss on the first date unless I’m trying to bed them that night. It was a weeknight and we both had school / work, so I knew that probably wasn’t in the cards. To you, that might sound like an excuse and self limiting belief. But you also have some of your own. I very often get second dates with girls who I don’t kiss on the first. I do on the second usually and it usually not a problem. I often DON’T get seconds dates with girls I kiss on the first date…

Seeing her again Saturday! I'm clearly just in my own head too much lol. Thanks bro!
/r/seduction06/03/15 02:49 PM

It can be hard trying to see busy girls. From her texts back to you she sounds genuinely interested. Just try again without coming off too needy or over eager. Suggest something that she will be exicted to do. Sometimes girls are genuinely busy, but if she's into you she'll try to make time.
/r/seduction04/03/15 05:35 PM
1

No, I would welcome liking this person. I do so far. I just always get wayyy too far ahead of myself and I know its bitten me in the ass before. But thank you for the perspective. I won't let my limiting beliefs get in the way.
/r/seduction03/03/15 09:20 PM
1

Lol very likely. Thanks for the reality check and confidence boost!
/r/seduction03/03/15 08:27 PM
3

Thanks. Yeah my plan for next time was to cook for her at my place and watch a movie. Better for escalating. As far as that night goes, the whole time we've been talking she's always called it a pretty early night in order to get enough sleep for school. So that was kinda my mentality going into it that it wouldnt be a super late night. I was mostly trying to build comfort so that could be a possibility next time. Part of it is my fault too. 4 hours flew by without me realizing it. And I doubt s…

You think the risk of it fizzling outweighs the risk of me coming across as too eager?
/r/seduction03/03/15 05:32 PM
1

Maybe I didn't communicate it right. But I'm not afraid to show my interest. I actually wish I did a bit of a better job of it on the date. I just don't want to give her the idea I'm super invested in her validation (why should I be? we barely know each other), wish I think I ran the risk of doing. I love texting pictures and memes etc, especially when they pertain to inside jokes we have already got going!
/r/seduction03/03/15 04:55 PM
1

Definitely. Looking back at previously blown situations it was because I was too available to them and likely came off as over eager. Won't be doing that again. I'm trying to actively dismiss thoughts of her as they creep into my mind because I know what a slippery slope that turns into.
/r/seduction03/03/15 04:44 PM
1

Then you just gotta assume attraction and proceed. Don't overthink it
/r/seduction29/01/15 04:30 PM
1

I told her my schedule, and that I would organize a date around it at some point. She replied "sounds good" You are being too available here. It looks like you are bending over backwards to be with her and its turning her off. I did this so many times when I was younger. You need to pick a day and have a plan ready and if she is legitimately busy but still wants to see you, she will make an effort by suggesting another day.

Thank you for taking time to respond. This is probably the best response I've ever gotten on here. About the pushing her comfort zone going for a walk, when we set the date up I had mentioned the trails and she seemed pumped about them, and was more than eager to check them out. In my experience it has been better to go be active and get the blood flowing rather than sit and sip on coffee. She had mentioned she was going for a run later so the activity portion just seemed to be a better fit. And…

I was in the same boat a few months back with a coffee date. I knew within 5 minutes I wanted to be out of there as soon as possible. Just tried to force on the awful conversation for an hour and a half and then called it. No one can accuse me of not giving a full effort after that.
/r/seduction02/05/14 04:58 PM
1

Yeah I figured once at the park we would sit and chill. It really wasn't a far walk.. less than a mile. I just didn't expect it to end that quickly so I was caught a bit off guard. And it was our first nice day of the spring pretty much so we both wanted to be outside for sure.

I'd maybe calm down dude....it's only been an hour. Turn your phone off and go do something to take your mind off of it. If when you return she hasn't texted just let it go

I play the keep away game again but she only lets it go twice before she gets a death grip on it I wasn't there, but that sounds like that would be super annoying for her. And saying you broke a glass to get their attention for a refill is super douchey.

Slow clap She's clearly not used to being called out on her behaviour. Good for you for standing your ground. I hope when I am in that situation I will do the same. She comes off as the type who is not used to not getting her way.

How to put this delicately...err....but is your technique any good? If you are getting to 3rd base and doing your job properly down there she should be pulling and clawing at you to fuck her.

There are many reasons she may not agree to go out with you on the first try but is still interested. I would have missed many opportunities if I lived by this rule. Its a good mindset to have, but I really think two strikes is the best way to go.

No I haven't heard that actually. I personally have never done it, but hey, even if it just affects you psychologocially in a positive way, then to each their own I say.

I've never heard that opinion before. What's your reasoning?

Alot of people will say you should have said nothing and moved on. But I personally like what you did. I'm no expert by any means, I'm far from it, but my reasoning is that it showed her you wern't going to tolerate her flaking on you and that you demand respect of both of yourself and of your time (as you should). You wern't disrespectful at all, and you let it end instead of continually pestering her. Hell, it maybe even gave her a wakeup call if she's not used to guys calling her out like tha…

I like this angle. But gotta be careful not to backhandedly insult yourself while doing this. I struggle with this a bit. A girl will say "Wow your job sounds so exciting!" and I used to try to downplay it and it would really work against me
/r/seduction08/11/13 03:26 PM
2

You mention "beautiful" and "hot"..well what else about her do you like? All those other dudes are probably stroking her ego by complimenting her on her looks. Stand out by connecting with her on a deeper level. With my most recent girlfriend, I bonded with her over her parents recently seperating, which is something i had gone through when I was younger. I was able to show I understood what she was going through but without being an emotional tampon. BAM her attraction to me skyrocketed

I'm going to see them in a week when they come here with Architects actually. I was a pretty big fan of Fortress but for some reason I have a hard time listening to them now. I'm just not as big of a fan of their overall tone, despite how amazing they are talent wise.

My tastes are slowly getting heavier so I feel like I'm further off the spectrum: Thrice, Alexisonfire, Architects, Blessthefall, Erra, Icosian, Annex Theory, Hands Like Houses, Northlane, Sleeping With Sirens, Circa Survive, Counterparts, Silverstein, Saosin Yeah I try to expand my horizons. I often listen to 90's pop like Nsync and Mark Morrison. My have a friend who DJ's and we go to Vegas together and as a result I enjoy alot of house music. I've always enjoyed classic rock but none of that …

Well this is exactly what I’m talking about. I do go and play at local shows and touring shows but as I mentioned there is a bit of a disconnect – as the crowd that hangs out at those shows for the most part is not congruent to me. I’m 25 and many of these kids are still in high school. Yeah we share musical tastes, but they are basically children who start facebook drama over “whos a bitch” or “who talked shit about who”. Yeah music is not a deal breaker for me. It would just be nice to share i…

Not sure if last part was sarcasm too. Unless you are suggesting abundance mentality – where I want her to think she needs to “make up points” because I could go call another girl who does share my tastes?
/r/seduction07/11/13 02:53 PM
1

Canadian actually haha. I agree with you. I think balance may have been more of an issue when I was 18-20 and I was an obnoxious person in general. I usually start with the tamer and more mainstream songs to introduce them to the fact that “not all heavy music is black death and screaming”. I personally love screaming vocals but I’m more driven my melody, so there has to be some damn good leads underneath or a good clean vocals section along with it – speaking of balance. Unfortunately, a lot of…

Ok fair, but the only reason I’d go on a huge musical tangent with someone I just met is if they had the same interests as me and it was something we could bond over or if we happened to get into a discussion like the one we’re currently having.
/r/seduction07/11/13 02:39 PM

I would grow tired of that type of girls self centeredness. I'm talking about being vulnerable and open with someone. The best connections are when you can be that way.
/r/seduction06/11/13 10:38 PM
1

You make a good point. There are more important things to connect over. But I don't just mean "Oh, do you like song A by band B?". I moreso share about how a certain part of a song makes me feel, or associate a certain song to a positive time in my life and want to share that. I've just undergone lots of friction over musical tastes. I get asked all the time if I could ever date a girl that hated my band, and the answer is I don't know. Truth is I am so involved with it she probably wouldn't be …

I like that play. I've had a girl seem pretty uninterested and then when I mentioned a gig I was playing all of a sudden a spark went off and they wanted to come see me play. Definitely wasn't their cup of tea. But just have to own it regardless I guess.
/r/seduction06/11/13 09:36 PM
2

Yeah I agree with pretty much everything you said. I've pretty much just pushed the musical connection on the back burner and if by some dumb luck theres someone out there who's even remotely into it then I'll just consider it a bonus. I think I just need to re frame the situation to show her that music is ONE interest and there are plenty of other areas for us to connect on. I've had a girl say part of the reason she broke up with me was cause she had a way better musical connection to her ex..…

It’s good to know I’m not the only one dealing with it. The interests of mine that have yielded the most as far as connections with women are hockey and snowboarding. Quite a few girls I meet love to snowboard so I try to connect over that more than the music. It’s just hard because music (specifically my own music) takes up a lot of my energy and thoughts.

Any chance it's a shit test? I ask because I've had a girl say "hmmm maybeeeee" when I've asked for their number, then after being outcome independant and a little more back and forth between us she gave it to me and we ended up seeing each other for a while.

Be careful though, this can get interviewy very fast. Try to speak in statements: "you look like an artist" and then she will elaborate themselves because everyone loves talking about themselves. I suck at this and am trying to improve on it.

I fully recommend reading the full book. But I feel like I need to revisit the idea's in the book often and its just not practical to re-read it all the time. This 59 page mini version is perfect for me. I can read it every couple weeks to hammer home the points and keep me focused.

Went through something very similar! Lets not kid ourselves....its the band card that got them interested!

Ah thats the fucking worst man! You were doing SO well!! Trying to be friendly is pretty idealistic and doesn't usually work. Just straight up No Contact man! You'll be back on your feet before you know it just make sure to not respond to her for when she inevitably texts you again wanting to talk.

Dude I do night golfing all the time, albeit normally with dudes and a case of beer but I've always wanted to bring a date there. This is just added motivation to now!
/r/seduction12/07/13 07:53 PM
1

Thanks a lot man! I agree with you 100%. I know I should be assuming attraction. Hell I got her this far right? It just sorta felt like I hadn't done my job well enough as far as building that attraction and that any kiss would be lackluster and just overall there would be a better opportunity next time. I'll definitely make the next date something physical / social!
/r/seduction12/07/13 07:36 PM
2

Ehh I wasn't too choked. Like I said I had been over it for like 7 years. I think I figured out she didn't have the best personality for me and from we kissed it was purely a physical thing...and not even a good one so it's just something to laugh at now
/r/seduction08/07/13 08:30 PM
1

I had the hugest year long crush on some girl in freshman year of high school. She friend zoned the hell out of me. Eventually I was cool with being friends. 8 years later we kissed at the bar. Was incredibly 'meh'. I had been over it for such a long time and just thought "oh what the hell, i'll do it for 16 year old me" and forgot it.
/r/seduction08/07/13 02:52 PM
3

I wouldn't think of this as a bad thing. Try to put a positive spin on it...think - "No matter how much of a rut I am in, all I need to do is keep approaching and eventually the numbers will fall in my favour" It's certainly helped me when I've been frustrated at my results, and eventually you start winning some.
/r/seduction20/06/13 03:08 PM

This is going to take a few re-reads to hammer into my brain but I think this type of mindset could REALLY help
/r/seduction17/06/13 06:32 PM
1

Yeah I've definitely considered that possibility. For the most part I've kept my end of the texting under control, except for one night where we were both blackout drunk (my bday party). But other than that I've just been letting her spin her wheels a bit without egging her on or shutting her down

Can you park next to me at the grocery store? Seriously though, good read
/r/seduction29/05/13 09:58 PM

Yeah it definitely seems like the easier option, but kind of tough to lie about a song meaning with lyrics like "I know I never tried that hard / but we never seemed too far / from perfection when you laid with me in my arms"

I did. And reading your post scares the shit out of me. But even though getting over the girl might have been the motivation to get into seduction, I think self improvement has to be the motivation to continue. I just try to focus on making myself happy and history leads me to believe other good things will follow.

It's one thing to say "I see this relationship going somewhere" but it's completely different to say "I'm in a long term relationship with a girl I met a few weeks ago". Congrats on pulling this girl, but manage your expectations man. If she's saying she loves you already she doesn't have the most realistic idea of what it means. But best of luck dude.

Yes! This is exactly how I feel! Yet sometimes I still fall back on this crutch.. it's just one of those habits you need to break. What helps for me is to just remember how annoying it is when you are talking to someone and they are glued to their phone. Turning it off helps too.

A surefire way to not properly appreciate an amazing trip like the one you are on is to judge it by how many women you hookup with. Live your life and make amazing memories. If you bang some girls then great! If not, then at least you won't look back on this trip with regret later on in life.

Its worth learning just because its awesome. And lots of this subreddit is based on having an awesome life and having the girls be a byproduct of having a great life. No one's gonna hook up with you because you can play a couple chords, but it can be helpful for your inner game.

Sorry to hear about the gf man. Yeah I have crowded lower teeth from wisdoms coming in and a small gap in my upper teeth, with a slight underbite. But my top row angles forward slightly to compensate for the underbite so the ortho said that the surgery would be purely aesthetic as long as my bottom row didn't crowd too much which it hasn't. And I can live with the gap in my upper teeth so decided not to get it done.

Can you expand on "they went well"? Did you touch them / kino? Did you make your intentions clear? Did you kiss them or at least try? Or could you have been hanging out casually as buddies in her eyes because you didn't make any kind of move?. I know that I've lost interest from a fair share of dates by not doing these things.

Work's a great place to get to know someone but if/when shit goes south just be prepared to have to deal with it and potentially have a slew of co-workers involved. I'm speaking more from experience in dating and LTR. When it's just been a casual hookup its not as bad but still pretty easy to watch your reputation get tarnished if you make a habit of it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
