Thanks for the tips. I'm definitely way too caught up in my own head. But I got the sense that if I was more aggressive like that, they would have just thought, "who the fuck is this kid who just randomly came up to us and started dissing us?" I thought I could disarm them by being nice.

Thanks for the positivity. The approach itself wasn't as bad as I usually make it out to be in my head. I feel like I'm on the verge of feeling totally ok with talking to anyone I want to - I'm almost there. Gotta learn to talk too... I will definitely keep putting myself out there and have an alpha FR eventually.

Appreciate the comment. You're right. I haven't yet gotten into the right mindset. I'd say as of now I'm still at the most basic level of game. Just tried putting myself out there this time to see what could happen.

I went to Upenn, majored in PPE. The ass-kissing was especially prevalent in the upper level classes which were small seminars of <20 people. Worked especially well against foreign professors. I will clarify that I had many professors who were very serious and saw through the bullshit, so maybe I should have said bullshit/good looks "can" and not "will" get you very far. I agree with the lack of motivation - disagree that they're consciously disillusioned with a grossly sexist society. Despite the absurdity of some political correctness claims like that NAACP Hallmark card BS, America has not been overfeminized, and moreover how can kids perceive that from youth?

Four years of college experience here (at an Ivy school fyi if it helps the point). Bullshit/good looks will get you very far. I've always wanted to have hate sex with the girls (fair mix of blonde+brunettes) that only talked in class to say "I totally agree with that point," or ask "but what does he mean here?"

Maybe recent advances in technology have made entertainment more affordable than ever. XBOX360s, HDTV, Youtube, facebook, etc. Opiate of the masses kind of deal. Simply put - being poor is more fun than ever. With the internet, you are able to play video games with people at any time of day or night. Kids (and humans in general) tend to undervalue the future at the cost of the present. We live in a culture of immediate gratification, of unmitigated consumption. So many kids do not see the point …
