If it were as you say, there would be no problem. But positive discrimination is not about equality, it is about privilege. This is independent of the fact that such a quota is applied even though more women go to university. For example, women have lifelong health insurance while men have an age limit (25 for men with university degrees, 18 for others). Or that women receive an orphan's pension for life, while the same age limits apply to men.

This post remembered me my first year in university. First week, we were arguing about less amount of male dormitories and professor had said that "girls important, we have to take care of them. men can sleep in park."
