The FDS mentality applies well in this situation too. Have very high standards for the people and situations you allow into your life whether it's your romantic relationships, friends jobs, or therapists. Therapists are human, so just like any other relationship, you've got to find a therapist whose personality meshes well with yours. Someone you feel comfortable being vulnerable with. It's really just a matter of checking in on how you feel during and after the session. If it doesn't feel right…

Instead of passive-aggressively goading him into paying, I'd consider it a sunk cost and cut my losses. You want the type of guy that you have to sneak off and pretend to go to the bathroom in order to slip your credit card to the waitress because it's his birthday 😉

This is why rejecting 50/50 eQuaLity narratives is important This. I die a little inside when I hear a woman talk about how she's "venmoing her half of the rent" to her boyfriend of 8 years who makes twice as much as she does.

Love this movie - aside from the subject matter and aesthetics - because I could recognize all of the SF neighborhoods. Fun fact, the director of this movie is the girlfriend of Robert Greene (author of Art of Seduction and 48 Laws of Power, Mastery, etc). Interesting...

I might have to try this on my mom. she frequently interrupts when I'm talking and knows she's doing it because she sometimes even says "I don't mean to cut across you but..." ugh... It's been happening since I was a kid and I'm so accustomed to it that I let it go forever, but it seriously irks me recently.

Unless it's a completely advantageous situation for you. That is, he pays all the expenses - rent, bills (and vacations, gifts, spending cash for you if you're smart). Still, even in an idyllic situation like this, don't be completely financially helpless. Have a source of income, SAVE YOUR MONEY and build a safety net so you can chuck up the deuces if things go south (or something happens where he can't take care of things anymore), and use this time to get/upgrade your education and career. Do…

This right here. Recently broke up with a selfish, immature LV manboy - or should I say, shoved him out of the rotation because he wasn't impressing me anymore. I didn't expect it to feel so liberating, but he was literally just dead weight that I didn't need in my life.

100% agree with this. This is why I like to learn as much as I can about evolutionary psychology, so when my emotions are trying to hijack my rationality, I can get into my frontal lobe and take a step back. I'm able to remind myself that what I'm feeling is my judgment being clouded by the more primitive aspects of my brain. The strength of these feelings does not mean that the relationship or the person was good, but rather, withdrawal symptoms from the cessation of the neurochemical soup. The…

I’m warning you now though - all those ideas about friendship and having no feelings for him will change as soon as he falls for a girl and seemingly does everything he wouldn’t do for you, for her. He will quickly put your friendship in the back burner and all the emotional energy you spent on this “friendship” could have been spent doing self work. This right here.

Overall LVM with some HV qualities can be the toughest to break it off with. I dated a guy who initially I had so much chemistry with. He seemed to have an almost feverish desire for me that he barely kept under control... He was never disrespectful or creepy about it, more like always wanting to be around me, to look at me. He was artful at getting me excited while still being a complete gentleman. That is one hell of a drug. On top of that, he was intelligent, ambitious, and good looking. I wa…

"How to Break your Addiction to a Person" by Howard Halpern is another good one. He goes into attachment styles and "attachment hunger" as the reason why people cling to toxic relationships. One of my favorite tips from the book is to keep a "relationship log." That is, keep a log of interactions that you have with the person, especially the negative ones. It's easy to romanticize the past and forget/gloss over shitty behavior. Keeping a log puts the truth in black and white, helping you see pat…

I got a text from a number that wasn't saved in my contacts. After a bit of back and forth, I found out that it was a guy that I haven't heard from in nearly a DECADE. He still keeps randomly texting me throughout the week. Even hit me with a "happy easter." Yes, they're that bored.

I always say that an attractive woman will get male attention - all kinds. You can be stylish and well-groomed and will still have bummy looking guys trying to shoot their shot. You can be very conventionally attractive and still have butt ugly guys hitting on you. You can be well educated and established in life and still meet guys who legit think they have a chance even though they're unemployed and live in their mom's basement with no plans to leave. It's nothing to do with you, and everythin…

I'm so glad I could help. I'm actually going through a similar experience right now. I met a guy right before this pandemic broke out, and initially, he seemed promising and we had crazy good chemistry. Then overnight the world changed, and suddenly I was unmoored. Our budding relationship was my oasis in the desert during this frightening, uncertain time. The intensity between us allowed me to shut out what was going on in the world and gave me something to feel good about. However, even in the…

Now I’m trying to figure out what went wrong. What went wrong is he's a total piece of shit, and I'm willing to bet he's a porn addict. His brain is so distorted by hours of jerking it to screens, that he feels no obligation to be decent or respectful to women. That's 100% his problem. The disgusting, non-consensual act of him masturbating on cam was completely unacceptable. Good job breaking it off with him. if you tell him you're not into casual dating Yeah that's why I tell them very little about what I want and don't want. I don't know this guy, what's stopping him from playing a role to get sex? You indirectly find out who they are. Words are so cheap - actions are what matter. You don't want to give them the script set you up for a letdown.

I second using social media vs online dating, but I would create accounts only for that purpose. My personal socia media connected with friends & family is completely locked down. My public accounts are strictly for posting jokes, flirting, thirst trap pictures, random thoughts, and collecting admirers. I don't use my real name or personal info. It's worked beautifully for me.

Being ignored hurts, angers and confuses them so much more than any mini-novel you could ever text them. A long text shows effort, so even if you're calling him all kinds of names, he's still smug at the fact that he had such a effect on you. You're still taking the time out of your day to think about him. He knows you're still there on the other end of that text. I wrote a list of ideal qualities that I'm looking for in a guy, and within three months, I'd met three who matched them almost perfectly. I learned two lessons from that: 1. Exactly. I see so many OLD profiles with a laundry list of "don't message me if..." I know right? Most of them are so low effort in every way, grooming, fashion, even down to the composition and lighting of their pictures, yet they all believe they deserve 19 year old supermodel porn star virgins. I'm a 5'10+ woman who has always preferred shorter men (5'5-5'8 range). Not that I can't be attracted to taller guys, but shorter guys are infinitely more attractive to me. I can't explain it (evolutionary checks & balances, perhaps?) Anyway I've been shamed for my preference as well, with people coming up with all kinds of reasons for it. Depends on what you're into and what you want out of the relationship. If he suggests Olive Garden and you love their all you can eat pasta & breadsticks, then go for it. This is such good advice. Another reason to keep past bad treatment to yourself is that he could potentially use it against you later. I once told a guy early in our relationship something hurtful and traumatic that an ex did to me. He seemed so kind and trustworthy at the time, I felt safe opening up to him. I live by this. "Benefit of the doubt" is the biggest self coping mechanism ever. It means you don't trust your own instincts. It's important to ruthlessly trust your instincts in dating and cull immediately if something feels "off." I call them "mainliners." Getting social needs met through textlationships, and sexual satisfaction through porn. There's really no competing with the ease of access, and endless variety, which taps right into a man's instinctive biological drive. I think what helped me get past that mentality is to look at things from a perspective of abundance. For every shitty man that I next, there's 3.5 billion in the world that I have yet to meet. There's so many men in the world, and I won't meet nearly a fraction of them in my lifetime. So as far as I'm concerned, there are an infinite number of men in the world. Love all of this. One thing I will say is that I've had a lot of success with "dangling the sex carrot." That is, being flirty, suggestive and building sexual tension... While keeping my clothes on and my hands to myself. It's an artful dance between innocence and raunchyness that men are absolutely captivated by. It's a lot of fun and an excellent way to get a man absolutely hooked on you. The key is subtlety. You don't have to describe in graphic detail what you want to do to him, but being to…

But how long to wait? A year? 6 months? It's more a matter of getting to know him, vetting him and determining if he's trustworthy rather than any prescribed period of time. In women, orgasms kickstart logic-fogging bonding hormones like oxytocin in the brain, so you want to be sure you're not bonding to a piece of shit. What I've found most effective is to start with a conversation that's sexual in nature. He'll be less guarded if he's horny. Steer the conversation to what kind of porn he likes and when he tells you, act like this answer "turns you on" (even if it doesn't). Once he thinks you're asking out of curiosity and even aroused by it, he'll open right up.

You shouldn't even be letting a man know that you are bisexual. Why not?

I love when they'll say we'll end up single like it's an insult. If they think we'll end up single then why are they so worried about FDS? If they really thought we were going to end up single and miserable for dating strategically, then why not let us do it and suffer for it? Because they know it's really just another bullshit cope. Just like the wall, like male SMV increasing with age, like their delusional "abundance mentality." We're dismantling their dysfunctional reasoning, and... They mad…

The irony of all this is, if FDS will leave us to die old and alone, steeped in misery and failing to attain a relationship that lasts beyond the dating stage as OP claims, why don't they leave us to rot and die alone? Why not let us be stupid and do this FDS stuff and let the natural consequences take their course? Makes you wonder...

That's because the opposite of love isn't hatred, it's indifference. They hate us with a firey passion because hatred is a counterpart of love. They hate us because they care, care enough to obsess and troll and harass. We don't go to such lengths because we don't care about them. We're indifferent.

He deserves to be fucked over. I have some ideas for how she could do it, but they're far too Machiavellian for FDS 😈

Don't stay in a relationship with a man who - *Tampers with your birth control in any way, shape or form. *Regards your sexual pleasure as a chore. *Gets offended when you correct his sexual technique or ask him for what you want in bed. *Has erectile dysfunction that he refuses to acknowledge or treat. *Guilts and shames you for wanting (or not wanting) sex. *Compares you sexually to his exes.

Nice tip, I found it on the Stitcher streaming app. I haven't started it yet but I'm already intrigued by the episode titles!

This time of year can be tough for people fighting with mental health issues in the northern hemisphere. The shorter days especially, it really messes with your circadian rhythm. I personally struggle with seasonal affective disorder. Somehow just knowing the cause makes it easier for me to ride the wave. Take good care of yourself, sleep, eat healthy, get as much physical activity and sunlight as you can manage. A UV light box might even be beneficial.

While I don't approach men, what works for me is showing interest in an obvious way. The few times in my life that I did approach a man, I remember how nerve-wracking it was. So I try to nonverbally make it clear that if he tries to talk to me, I'm not going to shoot him down. If another woman approaches him first, that doesn't mean that he's off limits to you. I was recently in a social situation where I spotted a very attractive guy chatting with a slightly drunk girl who had approached him an…

This. A while back, I met a guy online. We talked on the phone and really hit it off, so we agreed to see each other. He texted later and suggested we meet up for frozen yogurt. First red flag, but I chose to ignore it because we had good chemistry over the phone. I steered it to dinner instead which he agreed on, and then he suggested a local deli 🙄 At that point I called it off, (which, in hindsight I should have stuck with). He apologized and suggested several nicer places. I ignored my gut a…

"The wall" is the biggest cope ever. Women take better care of themselves, thanks to our appearance-obsessed socialization, so we look better for much longer. My grandmother, in her 70s, has not just one, but multiple men courting her, buying her jewelry, wining and dining, exotic vacations and trying to lock her down. But since my grandfather passed away, she's not interested in committing to anyone. What the fuck is a wall?

I agree that before becoming sexually active with him, he should get tested and show you the results, don't just take his word for it. If he doesn't agree, walk. One way to keep yourself safe is to get the Gardasil vaccine before becoming sexually active, and I don't just mean with this person, but anyone. It doesn't prevent all types of HPV, but it does decrease your risk significantly.

Exactly this. I'm in love with this community. I was so excited when I found it because much of the ideology aligns with my views. It's nice to have like-minded people to share knowledge with, without getting harped on by the Pickmesha brigade. I've lurked in the RP/PUA community in the past and secretly wished for a similar community focused on obtaining maximum benefit for women, but I kept seeing things like "girls don't need game" and "girl game is looking good and waiting to get picked" (oh…
