Girls will turn 'off' very quick if they've felt like they gave you an obvious IOI and you didn't respond. Its a self esteem thing. If she feels she put herself out there and you didn't do anything she'll pretend to be not interested.

In my experience, if a girl gives you an obvious IOI and you don't respond, they'll shut down pretty quickly. It's a self esteem thing. They don't want to appear desperate by throwing themselves at a guy they can't get.

I doubt it. From what I've seen, girls who ask you to buy them drinks do it habitually to guys. If you bought her one she'd have probably left soon after.

I doubt this is too accurate. I have a buddy who loves text game. He gets involved in huge conversations with girls and seems to be able to build a solid connection through text.

I think my problem is it's just an unknown to me. I'm fairly comfortable throughout my interactions, but I never sense a way I should escalate. It always feels like if I try to escalate, that it wouldn't be a gradual (ie. smooth) thing, that it would feel forced and sudden.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
