There is no make up, gym routine, or enhancement that is a substitute for charisma.

I had one guy ask me what my orgasms were like, were they all the same or did they vary much? I told him it was like the stars - some are tinted differently, some smaller, some bigger. He just gawped. He had no context for that.

BPD needs differientation. There is Bi-Polar Disorder and there is Borderline Personality Disorder. Accidentally thought everyone was discussing one and not the other 🙃

This is so common to see. Dude screws up again and again, does zero emotional work, and when divorce is imminent, she gets told she needs to go to counseling to save the marriage. They just give her another freaking job to do.

Don't feel awful for thinking that. My mother used to have those thoughts. Then, he did die. And our lives were better. And that's cold as hell, but it's damn true. You are not alone, and it's okay. He didn't feel bad for the things he did. Don't beat yourself up for a thought that hurt zero people.

Wait until real results. Right now, all you have is a promise of a talking to, with no ability to confirm that such a thing will happen, or how this talking to will commence. I've been burned far too much by workplaces that have hidden agendas, complicated histories with colleagues. I have no trust in any authority to solve such things effectively. That said, keep a record of everything. Businesses have insurance specifically for issues like paying out for harassment cases. Document, document, d…

Omg I had the same thought. I think I could figure out creating a database with open source software. The hardpart is basically issues with publishing that database. It would need to be shared at a private level and even then, might be an issue that makes it open to lawsuits for defamation. There could be some level of protection if published under the umbrella of a non profit, but I honestly don't know that for sure. But yeah. This shit needs to stop and I'd love to do that.

You can still be a prize and grow. Ask yourself why being viewed as valuable bothers you so much. It shouldn't - or is the implication that you don't feel valuable? I deal with stocks and bonds, with jewelry, with commodities. There is a value to everything. That includes you. Pretending that isn't a factor in your relationships us a naivete you can't afford to have. That's an extremely expensive mistake as many of the women in this sub have discovered.

I'm a very independent woman, and I'm just gonna put out there that one of the things that have protected me from shitty relationships - not saying I've never been in shitty relationships, just far less than most people - is that I learned how to masturbate at an early age. I know, that's probs TMI, but being able to satisfy yourself and take the edge off your hormonal swings will prevent you from landing in bedrooms you don't want to be in. Spend time with your body and learn to love it intimat…

Personally for me, I know what I'm holding out for and the reason I show up to dates when I'm just not into it is because there's that 1% chance that diamond in the rough might actually arrive with flowers in hand, an olympic champion gymnastic tongue, perfect manners but a beast in the sack, wearing a three-piece suit, fresh from his day job doing Something Vaguely Intelligent and finishing volunteer work for the needy, and whisk me away on a lavish date that ends with us barely containing a go…

There is a name for women whom this happens to: Gamer Widow I was one. My ex absolutely had a gaming addiction and let the house fall apart around our ears. The summer I filed for divorcd, the WHO listed gaming as an addiction. If that had happened before I filed, I would have absolutely gone after him for it.

End result of not only immensely poor behavior of men in my nuclear family and extended family, as well as the bad behavior of those in work environments is that I quite literally no longer require validation of any kind. I am emotionally self sufficient. Contrary to being a bad thing, I've accomplished a great deal and it gives me the ability to give more to others, and be kinder. I can give them the validation I did not, and it inspires me to be better. However, it does mean I toss away people…

And by the way, Coco Chanel had a rough life, even though she found success later. Her father was an LVM traveling salesman and when her mother died, this P.O.S. dropped young Coco (then known as Gabrielle) and her younger sibling at an orphanage. That woman had a hard life to reach her success. And I really believe the reason she got to that success was because she knew better than to trust that a guy was going to take care of her.

I've had four hour marathons. Not all of that was exclusively penetrative, but there was at least an hour's worth if not more. Women can orgasm several different ways. Men only have one type of orgasm. They've got no clue how to have sex because literally, their version of orgasm and ours is the difference between a popped balloon and the volcanic explosion of Pompeii.

I wish her luck! Tell her the best part of her life is about to arrive <3 And in all seriousness, if men behaved at work like they do in marriage, we'd have an unemployment problem of revolutionary size - hence why getting "fired" from marriage is a good word to draw attention to for that comparison.

I'm in that small percentage of orgasmic women. And even then, just because I can orgasm easily, I have no desire to do it easily. Or with trash people. I'd probably have more casual sex except there's a cesspool of men that think "casual" means it's a free license to act like trash. No thanks. Now that I've got orgasm down pat, it means I need everything else to be up to standard.

Ladies, listen real close to this proverb and don't you ever forget it: "Women grieve. Men replace." My mother was widowed young and saw enough through her widow groups to see that basically men just move on to the next woman, especially if those men had children and basically thought they'd have a wife to do all the unpaid labor for the rest of their lives. When Chris Rock said dick is a bad investment, he wasn't joking. Most women end up widowed. If you want marriage, by all means pursue it, b…

Thank you for breaking that down. I'm child free and swore off marriage after ditching a manchild. Zombardo? (Sp?) Can't remember the spelling, don't know if he did the video, but he is apparently a very compassionate fellow in the aftermath of the Stanford experiment. The real interesting thing is that it was his wife who told him he had to end the experiment, if I recall correctly.

I've been through the poverty mill. Men with less money than me have always been financially abusive. Wealthier men have less motive to steal money from me, so I'm far more comfortable in their presence. Sure, they can still be shit human beings - just the way less wealthy men are. But if I'm going to discover that, I'm better off discovering it withput having him rob my bank account first.

Met a guy at a crowded bar, and everything seemed ok. A few yellow flags, so I proceeded with caution. Went on a date and discovered when he got up to walk, he had a club foot. By the way, this wasn't a disqualifier. The disqualifier was lying about military service, he lied about a previous relationship ending in a tragic family death, and and when I had met him the first time, he appeared to walk normally. No. I would take such a situation to mean that I would be expected to be a nurse. My period is a serious chronic condition. Not joking - I bleed buckets. I have to empty out a full menstrual cup as much as three times a day. It's called menhorraghia, and it's hell to deal with 7 days of the month. That said, I've never asked anyone to take care of it for me. I would never expect someone to. The last man I was with couldn't survive a temporary illness without driving me up a wall.

I actually did some research into that awhile ago. I also really enjoy the Ashtanga practice and I learned from a lady yogi who also learned in NYC and India. Unfortunately, I had to leave where she was teaching as she was doing really weird, culty shit. There's a version of love bombing - she would make public memes about me where other yoga students could read them, paid special attention to me, singled me out. I've found that OLD is definitely a dumpster fire, but meeting potential dates IRL isn't much better. It's just very apparent on OLD how poor their communication skills are because it's much more effort to organize your thoughts into a written message, and just opening your mouth to let your thought-garbage flow out is essentially a skill anyone can hone. If a man can't write, he can't organize thoughts. If he can't organize his thoughts, he's not using his frontal lobe. If he can't use his fron…

I've spent a lot of time studying death within families. It is very, very common for parents to split apart when one of their children dies. The more traumatic or unexpected the death, the worse it is. Given their increasing isolation, accidental or self-imposed, it speaks of deep grief and depression. There is often a deep sense of guilt on the part of the parents that they could not protect their child. This may be a big reason why they are involving you - they may want some kind of approval o…

I can't remember if it was something I read in Valerie Plame's book back when she was outed, but I thought part of standard training in her field was to simply refocus conversation back onto the other person. It's very useful if you have a trauma that you're not interested in discussing, but it's disheartening to realize most people are so self absorbed, they can't recognize when their egotism is working against them. I struggle with this issue quite a bit. You really have no way of knowing what kind of reaction people will have to a dysfunctional family. Ideally, any HV person is going to want to protect themselves from people they see as a threat, or as damaging to the life they've built, and so I do believe that sometimes, dysfunctional family situations can be dealbreakers. This is offset by how valuable you are, though. If you knock him off his feet, he's going to reserve assumptions or fears about the d…

The oxytocin argument has another part: dopamine. Oxytocin and dopamine are both involved and there is a very in depth book called "Cupid's Poisoned Arrow" that argues that orgasm actually turns us to addictive behavior while hugging, kissing, intimate touching evens out our chemical balance for healthier, romantic relationships. When a man experiences orgasm, he experiences a "let down" phase as a result of the neurochemical. (Can't remember if it was oxy or dopamine, thought it was dopamine) b…
