HVM will not be in relationships with women they do not like and will not be confusing anyone.

Good on you for living your values! Life is only going to get better from here.

His response was that without war and disease, we would overpopulate the planet and all die from lack of resources. Sounds like a 'devil's advocate.' Glad you blocked and deleted.

I completely agree with this. Although a few can make decent money day trading, the vast majority don't or lose it all, and definitely don't make enough to justify their time and stress. OP, I hope you read up on the real results of day trading and got yourself educated and please, do not give him any money for this enterprise. The markets have also been favorable for a long time, so a lot of folks have been fortunate to make good money. I have seen many day traders (get-rich-quick types) use th…

'Entrepreneur' is a title many like to give themselves; it is not earned. When it comes to vetting men who are self-proclaimed 'entrepreneurs', you have to look at the results. For his case, it seems like there aren't any and he also doesn't have a history of results in the workforce, either, to fall back on.

He’s so blatantly projecting his own ugliness and low self esteem out into the world. Refuses to work on himself and humiliates a wonderful woman instead. Nothing to do with her at all.

Yes! I, too, have found that men at work try to use me to validate their own egos and help with their insecurities. It's SUPER important to have boundaries at work with everyone, but especially men.

Him browsing Bumble right after the breakup is like me browsing an e-comm website to get new shoes after my previous ones fell apart. Didn't even mourn the relationship lol. Looks like you made the right decision!

I don't think dying without a partner means dying alone....hate this societal concept. We should start normalizing "dying" with close family, friends, and community- people should have this, in my opinion, more fulfilling dream in their lives vs. a partner (esp. male). It's not putting all your eggs in one basket, either.

I remember a viral video from a while ago that had a Secret Service agent's daughter giving some safety tips for women, and the one that really stuck with me is that men don't ask women for help.

100%- is the difference between an attractive 30 year-old and attractive 18-year old really that big? It's all about the control.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/08/21 01:29 AM

Omg yes. She's probably just someone he knows that is nice to him because she's just a polite person. Men are delusional about women who are just nice to them. Don't get me started on the gymnastics of being nice enough to creepy male coworkers in order to maintain your job.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/07/21 10:25 PM

Most men can read emotions and act appropriately in complex political environments at work. A lot of men are in jobs like sales or other people-facing jobs, which require a lot of soft skills and emotional intelligence. They know, they just don't care.

I want to be her when I grow up!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/06/21 12:42 AM

Yup! A wife is just another thing on their checklist, there's not actual interest in her as a person/partner.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/06/21 03:03 AM

It's also the failing of male friendships. Many men don't know how to be true friends with other men, which really is a darn shame. The emotional burden falls on women and it's unfair.

Men who claim socially positive labels, like being a feminist, kind, or charitable, are usually just talking the talk to get brownie points. If they were truly any of these, they would not virtue signal and their consistent actions would show it. The end.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/05/21 02:05 AM

ALL actions are indicative of character. If men selectively treat people well, that's not a HVM. Being a good person in all ways is paramount in a partner.

Not only sex. A lot of men also just want to be a relationship to have a warm body to assist them in life (loneliness, therapy, housework, etc.) These are men who are like, "Why can't I get a girlfriend????"

I feel like I've seen this thing with men where they want to "feel young again", but don't think women have this same thought when they're older. What's up with that?

In an interview once, AOC was talking about how she was watching Selling Sunset, a reality show on Netflix. Wonder if she's stimulating enough for him??? Lol

Is he like this with business relationships, too? Like if the deal doesn't work out, does he ask for a reimbursement??? Probably not cause his business relationships are probably with other men *eye roll*
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/21 06:18 PM

For real. He's still objectifying people, saying that income + fit + social life = girls. You're not at a store buying an item!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 06:19 PM

Yeah, sex workers are also victims of murder and other violent crimes at much higher rates. It's an incredibly dangerous profession. I bet if you asked men if they would wish for their daughters to become sex workers, they would say hell no. The hypocrisy.

It's a lot of work for him cause he's on OLD trying to ask 100 women out and grinding through everyone, versus just asking out the few women with whom he could actually have a real connection.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/21 05:30 AM
120

That's exactly his problem! Women don't want to date him because he's an objectifier and they can smell that a mile away. Wake up, sir!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/02/21 05:16 AM
68

This is exactly the problem with the men on OLD. They are looking for a woman to fill the empty role of Girlfriend in their lives, to use her for external validation or actual labor, rather than truly being interested in the human being she is.

I think girls in their teens should prioritize quality female friendships. These are valuable relationships that can be with you for a lifetime!

I'm exactly like this and also dry wit, too, and plenty of people, including men, love it. Your dad is probably intimidated by you ;)

Also the "entrepreneurs". When you ask these men what they "entreprenued" turns out it's mainly it's just fantasies in their own heads lol

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/01/21 08:20 PM

Male obsessions with social hierarchies are a red flag tbh, whether is these alpha-omega men things or rating women 1-10 things, it's all about objectifying people and it's gross.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/01/21 08:19 PM
26

Yup. This is actually something that has happened all throughout history.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/01/21 08:25 PM
29

YES. They can masturbate to address these sexual "needs" and not risk hurting anyone, but instead knowingly lie and take advantage of women. Puke-worthy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/01/21 08:24 PM
21

My point is, while I'm also super excited for technological advances, historically, technology has not solved this problem. People in the past thought that laundry machines and different appliances would render housework obsolete, but there was always more stuff to do. I think there are so many other ways to take the burden off women, like these neighborhood cafeterias. Please feel to disagree with me, I'm definitely open to hearing other thoughts!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/01/21 05:45 PM
68

Actually in some parts of China they still have these neighborhood cafeterias, where families can go eat or takeout for a very low price. It's like a school cafeteria, but for everyone. It's also sponsored by the government, and has a wide variety of tasty dishes every day. Things like this save women a ton of time and energy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/01/21 05:33 PM
22

I actually think 19/22 is a "stage of life" age gap that I can't ignore. 22 is usually when someone graduated college already and is working, 19 is like end of freshman year/sophomore year. Lots of growth occurs every single year in your late teens through twenties. When I was 22 I had my first real job, and was really not interested in freshmen or sophomore babies lol
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/01/21 09:06 PM

Double shit to the voluntourism people. There are people who need help in your own community, why spend thousands to fly someplace where you aren't fluent in the language or culture?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/01/21 07:38 PM

Exactly. Tons of CEOs pursue relationships while also being a CEO. No excuses.

100%. I studied abroad in Asia and the expat men there were absolutely disgusting, definitely there to prey on women.

This is an important vetting standard: asking whether or not they regret not being "wild and free" when they were younger. Would predict the quarter-life and mid-life crisis men so we can avoid that crowd wasting our time.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/01/21 02:50 AM
8

It's not even about the woman or long lost love, it's about themselves. They are just using this as a simple escapism technique to complain about their current unfulfilled lives. Instead of working on themselves and going to therapy to become better, they are placing the blame all on women. They can take action here and now, but choose to complain about the stuff they can't change.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/01/21 02:40 AM

Which is why FDS and having strong female friendships is soooooo important.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/12/20 10:35 PM

Since men also tend to be super self-centered, can't help but think if there was also projection here Non-good looking men tend to have lots of opinions on women's looks in my experience

These articles needs to start exposing the men/johns doing the exploiting. We need to demand accountability from the people perpetuating this evil cycle.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/12/20 06:35 AM

You should take the energy you give worrying about this relationship and focus on your own life, especially cultivating better relationships with friends and family. Have you thought about therapy? It may be a better use of your time to work on any existing problems with a professional to help build a better life.

Yup, I find they are just interested in money, power, and genius, under the guise of saving the world and helping others. Don't count on them helping you out when there isn't anyone watching.

Definitely wish that answer addressed WHY women value social proof. It really had no mention of how women are concerned about their basic safety when dating. Men really have a hard time advocating for women, don't they.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/20 10:54 PM
69

Very well said and thought-provoking. It made me think about all the socially isolated men right (due to the pandemic) watching porn, and that's probably the only the women they see all day. What I saying is that I'm scared to see the aftermath of the pandemic, when we can see how the pornsick problem is exacerbated by socially isolated men whose only female "interaction" is through porn.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/20 10:42 PM

Exactly. A lot of Americans do not acknowledge reality and think they are "temporarily embarrassed millionaires".
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/20 12:53 AM

I love how you are thinking critically about life and what you actually want, keep doing that and checking in on yourself! May I suggest therapy as well? I know that you may have a hard time getting into that with your family hovering over you, but maybe you can make up some excuse and secretly use your saving to help pay for it. I think the consistency, guidance, and support a therapist can offer you as you go through this seminal part of life would be invaluable.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/20 08:10 PM
83

Agreed. The "evolutionarily visual creatures" shit is just that- shit. Not taking the sociocultural context into consideration at all shows the man is just trying to get the easiest answer to excuse his porn sick brain. If men are such visual creatures, why do most of them have crappy haircuts and style? Why don't they go out of their way to appreciate art?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/11/20 06:12 PM

Men who are chronically scared of gold diggers know they have nothing else to possibly offer in a relationship. Emphasis on the "possibly".

I bet if you actually tracked to see what men spent the most time on, it's video games, porn, and sports. Okay, so women are "basic". Misogynists.

Drinks are just as expensive as a meal! And the bars are probably way worse for COVID than restaurants who at least try for outdoor seating or social distance seating!! Let's be real. He wants to get her drunk so he can get sex. GROSS.

These are also the men who think Jennifer Aniston is a 5 and would not date her. Lol
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/10/20 07:19 PM
25

Yup. That's what Lundy Bancroft's "Why Does He Do That" says about this. When dad does show some positive emotions, the children treasure it because it's so rare.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/10/20 06:35 PM
27

I would also like to include age gaps like: College-aged guy with high-schooler, like 20 with 17 year-old College grad guy with freshman/sophomore, like 23 with 20 year-old 30s guy with recent college grad, like 32 with 23 year-old These are "stage of life" age gaps that are also worrisome. When I was a 22 year-old college grad, all the freshmen and sophomores literally looked like children, and I sure as hell wouldn't touch a freshman guy with a 10-foot pole.

I think he was probably uncomfortable with the emotional situation as well, wanted to get the orgasm, avoid the emotional aspect of telling her. Just LVM all around. The fact that he was even thinking of not telling her was so bad. Who wants someone like that in their life?

I was in university not too long ago and thought the terminology was always "professors" or "lecturers", not "teachers" for university level in the US. No one at my university was called a "teacher".

Community is SO important. My parents are immigrants from a collectivist country and whenever I visit, I see that all my relatives have a bunch of other relatives all there to help whenever, especially on a practical level, like driving, watching kids, etc. However, true community is really hard to find. Even though my relatives have a bunch of other people to help, it can also be isolating and the social pressure is real. It's hard to be yourself. In individualist societies, it's incredibly imp…

Sucks you're going through all of this during a global pandemic, no less. I recommend you do research on what happens of if you get fired/laid off and what your benefits, severance, and rights will be, so you are familiar with the worst case scenario. Also sounds like you might wanna start looking for another job.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/09/20 03:39 AM
8

It also makes no practical sense for you. The breakup and divorce rate is high, so what are you going to do after that? What if your partner gets sick long term or has to be away long term? Or dies? Who can you rely on? Only focusing on your partner is putting all your eggs in one basket. It's also extremely selfish because you are not sharing love and happiness with others, just one person. I really don't get it. Good girlfriends make life what it is.

Agreed that calling you cute is inappropriate in a work setting. I think it's good practice to have some healthy skepticism towards men, especially older, who want to hang out with you at work/outside of work, church, hobbies, etc. Trust your instinct.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/09/20 02:28 AM

There's definitely some so inherently creepy about recording someone on a public street without their consent/participation. It's like they have your image forever and you can't do anything about it. Like I get it if that person's famous, or a street actor, but if you're just a random person walking on the street minding your own business it's so violating. I wish I had your guts to call it out more, but it's just too much emotional energy.

I'm not really the biggest fan of day trading. Sure, some can be successful, but it's a lot of time and stress for something that probably isn't as good passively investing in index funds over the long term. I recommend the r/financialindependence subreddit for great investment strategies.
