You almost have to admire the effectiveness of the tactic -- the victim's normal self-protective instincts, what remains of them, are pathologized and framed as insecurity. Or in other words, if you don't want to be emasculated, you're a weakling. It's a double-bind, resulting in an almost invincible method of demoralization.

This thread is conflating four separate differences: The higher proportion of women who have a so-called responsive sex drive The higher level of caution which women have to display in the dating arena Women's attraction being less visually centred than men's Women's particular attraction to top men (hypergamy) In terms of mate selection, responsive sex drive is the least important of these factors. (Responsive sexual desire is more relevant to long term relationship dynamics). Also note that so…

Just for fun, try making a girl wait some time. Tease her, get her hot and bothered and tell her she has to wait til next time.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 04:15 AM

This actually is true and it’s a good point, and another illustration of how you’ll be able to tell whether there actually is some fire there. Is it getting harder and harder to hold back, for both of you? Then you don’t have anything to worry about.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 04:13 AM

I largely agree with this point of view, but — is it worth considering girls who don’t it out quickly. I’d argue sometimes yes — if they’re religious, or (and this is trickier) if they’ve been burned in the past. So in that case, if you do decide to take a chance on her, how can you decide whether she actually is sexually attracted to you? That’s when you apply the strategy of seeing whether they’re going all the way up to the lines, or whether they’re really behaving like nuns.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/21 04:11 AM
11

That’s true. I had in my mind the case of religious girls that I dated. They might be saving themselves for marriage etc. In that case, it makes sense to consider: is she showing you some other way that she’s really into you. These girls will go all the way up to the line if they’re attracted to you. If not, run away.

The only time I believe a woman who “makes you wait” actually likes you is when she wants to date you long term and intentionally withholds intimacy, in order to make the man not view her as promiscuous. And even then, in my experience, most of the time there will still be other physical intimacy like kissing, heavy petting, …etc. No woman who actually is attracted to you, physically or emotionally, is so repulsed by the thought of intimacy with you she can’t even make out with you, even on the …

I was referring to this bit of silliness: they willingly choose to never have sex again As opposed to all the women unwillingly kept from sex after pregnancy. And this: If they opt to never have sex or very rarely have it after pregnancy because that’s what they desire, that’s up to them. That doesn’t mean a man has to accept that. Which had nothing to do with anything I wrote. Hence the need to outline things more clearly for you.

Something can be uncommon in a population, but if the population numbers hundreds of millions you'll still find plenty of examples. The thing that's really interesting about r/DeadBedrooms is how many women are on there. You'll find the woman who loses interest completely after bearing a child/children, but I wouldn't say it's the most common case.

No I mean they willingly choose to never have sex Yes, obviously. As I wrote in my previous post, This is uncommon, for a woman to never want to have sex again permanently after childbirth If this does occur, most likely she was asexual to begin, and simply feigning an interest in sex, in the belief that no man would want to have a child with her if he knew that she was asexual
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/21 06:45 PM
12

a woman can be just fine with never having sex again after a baby, I don't have stats ready at hand, but that seems extremely rare. A temporary libido drought is common but the above suggests that she was asexual to begin with.

One possible compromise is a 60:40 division of labor on cleaning. The clean freak partner puts in more effort, and benefits more from the cleaning. The slob partner cleans less, but also derives less benefit from the cleaning.

Brazil? Mexico? Wtf are you talking about? Western countries == the developed world. (Not to be be confused With the Western Hemisphere.) Again, your link is from the worst (actual) western country, and it’s no surprise what’s going on here. Rising obesity, inequality, and the failure of middle class and richer women to reproduce. If the poorest women are doing disproportionate shares of reproduction, the stats will be skewed.

I'm forever bemused by the childfree's love for these pregnancy horror stories, each more gruesome than the last. If these were at all typical, women would all be invalids after having a child (let alone two or more), mothers would be hideous to look at, and our species would have died out long ago. It's a sign of a diseased culture that so many are grasping for excuses not to fulfill their biological and cultural imperative and raise children.

You’re not wrong, but I’m not sure why you’re replying to me. Of course laziness is a trait, the genes for which will be selected for in the right circumstances. I was considering the case of Tim Cook only because OP did, and because Tim Cook is presumably hard working.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/21 07:24 PM
1

You’re misunderstanding the selfish gene idea. What it means is that the genes of people who have many kids become more prevalent in the population. It says nothing about conscious motivations for an individuals behaviour. So what’s Tim Cook’s motivation? Well his motivations are influenced by a set of genes which he inherited from a large set of reproductively successful members in his tree of ancestors. Among those were genes for drive and hard work, and most likely a large set of gene variant…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/21 05:27 PM

Natural selection in genes hasn’t been ‘debunked’ at all, where did you get that ridiculous idea from. Of course random mutations occur; that’s where we get new gene variants from. That in no way conflicts with the theory that those genes which enjoy differential reproductive success in a given environment become more prevalent in a population.

Well strictly speaking this isn't about 'dudes' at all, but ladies. I lost my virginity in my mid twenties. You're better off telling the truth. If a girl is attracted to you, she probably won't care. A minority of women will even get excited at the prospect of taking your virginity. When women are asked whether they would fuck/date/marry a virgin, they picture in their minds someone whose defining characteristic is that he's a virgin, and build up a mental image up around that. But in real life, they see all of you first, letting them form an attraction. If the…

I think you're overstating the magnitude of fertility decline in the early thirties, and minimizing the signs of aging during those same years. You can see signs of aging at any age after 25, though generally those signs will be invisible except to the women themselves, and eagle-eyed members of the manosphere. Similarly, fertility will decline, in those same years, but it'll be a difference which will only show up if you average over thousands of women. It's after 35 that both factors start to …
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/21 05:56 PM

It's around 40 -- 42, unless you get way too much sun, eat a shitty diet and do too many drugs. The reason is because "the wall", a sudden and dramatic decrease in attractiveness, tracks the end of fertility in women. It's not just men who observe this. Women themselves have written about going from having to rebuff men hitting on them to being all but invisible in the space of a few short years. In some cases, the difference can be seen in a matter of months.

A childfree couple is a sad and fruitless relationship, and can’t ever truly know love. A couple that wants children drives towards the logical endpoint of love. If successful, the have the joy of creating life. If not, they can take solace in being united in their grief. But the couple that doesn’t even want to procreate is union of two broken people that can at best achieve a simulacrum of happiness through transient material pleasures.

This is an adaptationist view of evolution. If evolution starts with random mutations, mutations won't necessarily develop just because they're good. No. Random mutations -> environment selects for subset of mutations -> adaptation. In this case, random mutations cause women to want kids -> those women accumulate more offspring -> that instinct becomes prevalent in the population. There are many other potential explanations as to why people reproduce I can think of about two and a half: the se…

Yes, but there's no evidence that baby fever and other drives to reproduce are necessarily inborn. There’s good reason to suspect. It correlated with nurturing instincts which are inborn, and it’s inline with evolutionary imperative. Having kids out of fear of regretting it later is still a bad idea. Yup, this I’ll agree with

I’m not sure what we mean by a family vehicle, but you don’t need more than a compact car unless you’re going for 3+ kids. That’s probably where the inflection point is for children becoming a luxury item.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 01:05 AM

I tend to agree that most people tend to overestimate the cost of having kids, but there’s no denying that stagnant prospects have a way of dampening fertility. It’s one factor among many.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 01:02 AM
-2

Many women get baby fever once they get to a certain age, and many men want to have children for its own sake. The drive to reproduce is so essential that it doesn’t just rely just on one impulse, the sex drive, but on many. Some women who thought they didn’t want kids end up regretting it, others don’t. Women who wanted to have children but failed tend to carry that for the rest of their lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/21 01:01 AM

Top tier troll post. So good I have to take the bait. Look if you don’t want kids, then you do you. But if you do want kids, which option seems preferable to you: Knocking your lady up during a hot steamy night of lovemaking Going to the clinic to get sperm harvested from your balls, later to be discarded so the doctor can use his own sperm to cuck you. Also, though I don’t usually go in for that much red pill analysis, I have to say if I were a woman and found out my partner had had a vasectomy…

I don’t think there are any guarantees at all, even five minutes after the procedure. And you’re right, the chances of reversal get worse over time. But from what I’ve read it’s a continuum, and there isn’t a hard stop date.

Vasectomies can be reversible. They should be treated as permanent sterilization, but if you decide that oops, you actually didn't want to end your genetic line, there are fairly good odds that you might be able to unfix yourself.

I’m a procrastinator, so I was with my wife for ten years before we got married. I think if a couple is together for a long time without engagement, it may be a negative indicator, but a very weak one. An individual woman, all things being equal, will likely be less harsh than an individual man. But collectively the judgment of women will be interpreted as much harsher. Is it a case of “it’s so harsh that she rejected me, boo hoo”? Yes, but I don’t think you’re appreciating how this is received. I think makes more sense to say that toxic masculinity is defined way too broadly. The proponents of the term basically just mean “masculinity” — the “toxic” part isn’t so much a clarifier, indicating “the part of masculinity that is toxic”, but a descriptor — “masculinity is toxic.” Nowhere is this more apparent than in the demonization of stoicism, something that you rightly focus on. Stoicism is arguably, masculinity’s best feature. The toxic masculinity movement could instead have built a mo…

There are several reasons for this, I think. The most obvious is the classic “men are interested in things, women are interested in people” phenomenon. This can only provide a partial explanation, as it doesn’t address the question of the few women who are into geeky things, but it is important. I think the different ways men and women use conversation to obtain status are important here. Men typically prove knowledge to each other. They display knowledge of complex topics, to show each other th…

Agree that the FSM is an important piece of the puzzle, but disagree with your claim about curiosity and passion about things not directly benefiting them. Women will happily talk about the most useless bullshit amongst themselves; the critical requirement for this bullshit is that it be something that makes everyone feel included, and it can’t make them seem weird.

I think a childless relationship has a sort of sad emptiness to it. The act of creating children is one of the few bits of magic and meaning we have left in the modern world, and it’s a shame that so many couples don’t get to experience that.

That’s entirely consistent with what I said but not with the earlier comment, which said women who wait til their mid thirties are “in for a surprise“. 32-36 is the same risk bracket as teenaged mothers I’m not sure what type of risk you’re referring to, but it’s likely the risk of complications. That’s distinct from fertility. An older teenage girl will (unfortunately) be very fertile, but have a higher risk of complications— partially due to the fact that these mothers are invariably from poorer households.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/21 05:20 PM

You may be in for a surprise. Or you may be just fine. It’s variable, and that’s why women shouldn’t count on fertility past mid thirties.

Paranoia implies that a risk you're worried about isn't rational. But all things being equal, the chances that a baby isn't yours would be on the order of 1% or higher. That's not a negligible risk. As for the coming back to bite you in the ass, that's even less likely than a girl's n-count coming to light after she's misrepresented it. These are both fantasies to make people feel like they'll always know everything about their partners.

This is probably the best comment on the entire thread. If giving money to Reddit didn't make someone a bigger cuck than having all of your children conceived by other men, I would give this gold. As it stands, I have only praise. I'm glad that I didn't ever have to make the choice to test. I never doubted my wife for a second -- and yet in the back of your mind there's always the question of "what if?" All women get it, even if they would be angry about it. I don't think that they get it. It's one of those things that where one sex has a very hard time seeing the other's point of view. I feel like we mostly agree, except: If you want that, and your partner has a problem with that then it’s not the right person for you. Your wife is an unusually reasonable person. Plenty of men are with women who wouldn't be able to wrap their heads around to this perspective, but are otherwise lovely people. It makes no sense for them to say, "oh well, this just isn't the right person", when they could just do the test quietly and move on with their lives.

Asking for a paternity test IS accusing someone of cheating. How isn’t it? Please explain that. Sure! Most men should be about 99 % certain that their baby is theirs. Most studies of extra-pair paternity come up with frequencies in the 1 - 5 % range, sometimes higher, but if you trust your wife, you should be about 99 % certain that a baby is yours. For anything else, that would be certain enough, but given the stakes it makes sense to do the test. not understanding how someone could be offended…

Autism is characterized by rigid and inflexible thinking, such as: either he trusts me blindly, or he's accusing me of being unfaithful. It's an inability to see the nuance that you can never be 100 % certain of anyone's fidelity, and given the almost life-or-death stakes, it's reasonable to want some reassurance.

Well, most women aren't going to be able to see this from the man's point of view. But if a man wants to go this route, he should probably start by just casually mentioning the phenomenon of fathers finding out that their children aren't theirs, and how soul crushing that must be. Watch her reactions. opine that perhaps paternity testing should be mandatory at birth. If she gives favourable answers, then you could try broaching the question of a paternity test. But it's a hell of a lot easier to…

what would be their motive for doing so? If that were a real concern though, you could do a test with somebody else's baby as a control, to see if they give false positive results.

As u/death_by_1000_cats mentioned, hospitals don't do this. You don't test at the hospital prior to "signing the birth certificate". There are only two scenarios that make sense. Test some time after birth, in private (not telling the wife) Much more rarely, if there's evidence of cheating, get a prenatal paternity test done.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 05:48 PM

There's no need to get upset or personalize things. It's not paranoia to believe that there is a small chance of your partner cheating on you; it's rational. People can tell themselves " I know for a fact that my partner hasn't cheated," but that's never the case exactly. You're just mostly certain. And that's ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 05:44 PM

here is no logical reason to question paternity unless you believe cheating was involved This gets back to my previous point: you can be mostly certain of paternity, but not entirely certain. if you know for a fact that your spouse has only been sexually involved with you You never know this.

what reason would you have to question paternity other than a suspicion that your wife has cheated on you? I get the feeling that you’re assuming that there are only two possible beliefs about paternity: 100 % certainty strong suspicion of cheating. Both of those are irrational for most men. Most men should be about 99 % certain of paternity, since depending on the study, rates of cuckoldry ranged from 1% to several percent. Yes, and your claim is only valid in the context of a fwb situation with the single mom. Dating a single mom is a terrible scenario unless all you want is a FWB relationship. If you want something more, then those children will be present, and so most likely will their father. The worst case is if you want a woman to have a family with. Every child she already has is one that she won’t have with you. Put simply, every single mom is a woman who could have been dateable and marriageable, but now isn’t, making the dating market stacked against men in the wrong regions and demographics.

I disagree, I think the results of a DNA test are a great thing on which to stake a relationship. If my wife has carried my biological child, then I can forgive a lot. But if she’s carried someone else’s, then she might otherwise be perfect and I’d still be done with her. (Not necessarily with the child, though, if I’ve already bonded with the child, that might be impossible to give up).
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 03:54 AM

Yeah, those are the stated and unstated reasons everywhere. But I’m wondering why we can get paternity testing in, say Canada (a pretty liberal place), but not France.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 02:04 AM

Are you referring to France? I have to hope that guys there secretly send for testing in other countries.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 02:00 AM

Yup, that’s pretty much what I expected. I’m really curious as to why, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 01:42 AM
1

No, in the us and Canada I can easily do a test without informing anyone. Probably the UK as well, but that I’m not sure about. Is there some reason that you don’t want to say what country you’re from? Because you appear to be trying to extrapolate laws in other countries based on your own, and it’s not working.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 12:17 AM
1

Pretty much everywhere Not even close. Again, where are you located? Paternity testing is easily available in the US, Canada, and as far as I can tell the UK. France and Germany, on the other hand, do appear to enforce state-sanctioned cuckolding. If you’re in one of those countries, my condolences.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/20 12:11 AM

Where is genetic testing of babies prohibited? I've heard rumours of this being the case in France, but I can hardly believe it. Also how would the enforcement work, exactly?

"Skinny chad" in this context means average muscle mass, low - very low bady fat, 6' +, and model good looks. Exists, but highly uncommon.

No, this is verging on incel-level logic. If you’re on older virgin you should do your best to create the best possible version of yourself, and go after the girls that any normal guy your age would go for. If they happen to be younger than you, that’s fine, but 16 - 20, when you’re in your mid to late 20s? That’s creepy AF. The unstated assumption in this CMV is that women past a certain age won’t want to deflower a virgin man. And that’s really not true in general, though it will be true for s…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/20 07:41 PM

No. Cuckolding, at its core, being duped into raising kids that aren’t your own. That isn’t most men, thank god, and you can protect yourself by DNA test. Why do men recoil at being cuckolded? Because our hind brains know that the result is that we’ll be evolutionary dead ends. Well if you don’t have a family, you’re every but as much a genetic dead end as a cuckold. Probably worse, because cuckolds often at least have some biological children. So no, not having a family is the ultimate cucking.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/20 05:44 AM

That is an actual result from a study, but it’s the one with the highest amount of extra pair paternity in it. Most studies were far lower. IIRC, the study was conducted in England, and confirms all of my observations of English women.

Friendships with women are valuable, just like friendships with men. But the friendzone isn’t exactly that; it’s a friendship with a woman for whom you have unrequited feelings. (Women can fall into the friendzone too, more rarely, but arguably worse. For simplicity’s sake I’ll assume the male perspective.) There are two problems with being in this state. 1. You get a constant reminder that you weren’t good enough for this person. 2. It’s easy to delude yourself into thinking that she’ll develop…

Good points. I’ll tentatively agree that porn can be enjoyed from an uncucked point of view, though I think it may depend on when exactly during sexual development you encounter it, and to what extent. It’s worrisome that teenagers and even younger people are being exposed to porn at younger ages — I think that may warp the sexuality of both sexes but in different ways. In particular in boys, I worry that it can lead to them to develop fetishistic inclinations unless they have at least some prio…

I’ll agree that it’s becoming increasingly common; where I’m curious is if it’s sustainable. The default red and black pill position seems to be that it’s not, but I’m not so sure. I think we’re returning to pre civilization kinds of sexual morality, where only 40 percent of men durably passed on their genes. It was the norm for far longer than our most recent system of monogamy, so it might in fact be viewed as more natural.

This seems to be a likely possibility, with several factors contributing to increase that likelihood. Porn has always had an element of cuckoldry implicit in its consumption, and not only is porn becoming more ubiquitous, but explicit inclusion of cuckoldry asa fetish element is becoming much more prevalent. According to some research, it’s now one of the leading fetishes. My hot take: this is due to increasing porn use plus young men being increasingly shut out of the sexual market and eroticiz…

As several people have pointed out, dominance and sexual instigation are distinct concepts, though there is a little bit of overlap. You can be the one making the sexual moves, but not be dominant, though dominance tends to require a certain amount of initiative. So sexual instigation is usually necessary for dominance, at least for men. (Female dominance can sometimes be expressed in denying sexual advances, but this is getting into the weeds). Most men have to be the pursuers whether they want…

Not to be pedantic, but you’re confusing men’s psychological processes with the evolutionary antecedents for those processes. Men aren’t attracted to fertility so much as they are markers of fertility: healthy skin, 0.7 waist to hip ratio, the works. Why are they attracted to these? Because in evolutionary history, men who picked mates with these characteristics enjoyed superior reproductive success. Your attempted gotcha about 12 year old girls fails: not only are they less likely to carry a ba…

Without knowing anything more than the information you've given, I would go out on a limb and suggest that this is a case of a dysfunctional mating market hurting everyone, not just the obviously disadvantaged parties. You probably live in the bay area, or somewhere very much like it. Many young male tech workers have more cash and status than the average male, but fewer mating options due to the gender skew. And this makes everyone anxious. The men, when they do land a date, will be anxious as …

Well, yeah. As long as male demand for casual sex exceeds womens', women will be able to barter their increased value on the casual sex market for higher value men than they'd be likely to land for a long term relationship. Conversely, men have to lower their standards if they're not offering commitment. Looking at it through another lens, for a long term relationship, women will look holistically at a man, and take his flaws with his virtues. But for a one-night stand, they'll want someone hot …

This definitely sounds like a kink. It sounds like he might have been sexually submissive, and sometimes the way this manifests itself is when these guys want a woman who denies them. Low self esteem probably played a role in this kink getting established, but after that the fetish would sort of take on a life of its own. Hopefully he’ll find a way to express it in a healthy way, because it doesn’t sound like he’s currently able to have a fulfilling sex life.

Idk, I’m not a woman. I think both sexes tend to see an image of themselves as they were when they were younger, and women can still delude themselves until their early forties. Men can delude themselves at least ten years longer, based on our slightly longer attractiveness window.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/20 05:52 PM

The red pill overstates this a bit, but it is a thing for women in their thirties, sometimes early forties. After that, expectations tend to return to normality.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/20 05:47 PM
3

Yeah, I don’t doubt this, but I think there are two countervailing effects: the disillusionment that I mentioned as well as the feelings of resignation that you describe. I think they occur at slightly different times, I had in my mind the twenties-thirties transition, and your point seems most relevant to the thirties-forties transition.

Maybe you’re super hot and don’t know it? It depends whether these women who cared about you were romantic partners of yours or friends or family. My comment was specific to the former; for friendship or familial relationships, the rules are different.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/20 06:52 AM

I think that this is very age-dependent. Younger women tend to be willing to invest in a young man's potential, partly due to the fact that few young men will have made it, partly due to the fact that young women simply have a different mindset. Both sexes get more jaded as they get older. Older women will definitely have higher expectations for their partners to be a finished product. For both sexes, if you want a ride or die partner, your chances are best when you're young before your spirit i…

Ah. Well in that case, the name of the game is just making sure that you're not desensitized when you do find a partner. Well, at some point there is a romantic expectation, and if that period lasts three months, and if during those three months you don't just decline sex but dump him for even wanting sex, then you can bet your purity ring you're going to wind up with a very high likelihood of an asexual partner. How you two initially met is really neither here nor there.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/20 07:56 PM
3

Secondly if a guy tried to have sex with me in those three months, he's gone. I wouldn't make him wait. Just him trying would be enough to tell me that his values significantly differ from my own. I would be eliminating men with options who only want sex, but that was the plan. This will strongly select for asexuals, which may or may not be a drawback.

This assumes that society is uniform. In reality, chad chasing white women will have approximately 1.21 chromosomally abnormal babies each after settling down at 38. In so far as it's a semantics issue you're using the wrong sense of entitled. The sense you want is the one that you'll find in most definitions when you google, which is simply "having a right to something." The one that you quote is becoming more common colloquially, but is subtly different from that. None of that really matters much, since your main point seems to be that you feel being desirable doesn't make one deserving of sex. And I'd disagree: I'd say it's the *only* thing that makes you…

This is one a blue pill shibboleth which is pretty much always uttered without much thought being put into it. With a particular set of assumptions it's true, but it would be more accurate to say: You're not entitled to sex with any particular person You're entitled to whatever sex other people want to give you. Of course an uncomfortable result of this is that some people (desirable people) are entitled to sex, and other people (undesirable ones) are not.

it's because pretty much everyone is attracted to 10s so they can pretty much be with whoever they want. That's where the "leagues" come from. But there are plenty of mismatched couples as well. > That's literally what "leagues" means. You are taking this very literally, so have a look at a dictionary, here, here, or here. The relevant definition in each case refers to a class or level of competition. None of them add a requirement that an entity on a higher level always beats an entity on a lower level. That's just something that you made up. The real issue, though, is that the whole "leagues" concept is just a metaphor. It's not meant to be taken literally, and I think that this is th…

Do yourself a favour and look around. Our of the couples that you see, do you they seem randomly generated, or are you more likely to see attractive people with attractive people? (Be honest with yourself at least, if not with everyone else.) Following your reasoning, the most likely partner for a 10 would be a 5. Because leagues don't exist, and while the 10 might prefer someone more attractive, 5s are far more prevalent. And for some reason, the 10 has no idea that they might find someone more…

it's not 100% accurate, and therefore it's a worthless concept Nonsensical. He isn't getting rejected by 10s because he is trying to hit out of his league, he's getting rejected by almost everyone because he is a 1. With other 1s, the 1 may have a chance. Because they also have no other options, so what the hell companionship. A 10 will be absolutely aware of the fact that they are desirable and can do better. You're conflating two separate questions in this CMV, so lets deal with the easier one first: You are not being socially demoted when a woman rejects you. This is depends a bit on our environment. In small closed environments, e.g. a high school, where the outcome of approaching a girl is readily apparent, it very likely will be a social demotion if everyone sees a girl reject you. In a large city, I'd tend to agree with you. there is no league. This is where you go off the rails. Now, in the st…

Have a look at the axis on that graph: it goes to +-60 to accommodate freak-show couples. Even so, the skewness in the distribution is readily apparent. And from the numbers in the article, in heterosexual pairings, the man is very nearly three times as likely to be older than the woman. I'll be the first to say that the red-pill overstates the importance of this; very few men can pull more than, say 10 years younger, and even that is an achievement. A lot of this depends on frame and context. If he gave her a sailboat, then yes that would obviously be a bribe, but giving someone a ride in a sailboat can either be alpha game or beta provider game depending on circumstances. And both of those are far more effective for men than for women. You're misunderstanding the sailboat and cessna. Their sexual appeal isn't so much as bribe, it's as a marker of power and status, and the ability to command resources. Women tend to respond power and status to varying degrees (though the effect is sometimes overestimated). As far as women bribing men to get dudes, I think most would find that quite difficult. Men just don't respond to women in power the same way, and aren't really that interested in their partner's provision of resources.

Well sure. But you claimed it wasn’t considered a sin.

It is a tenet of most of them. I checked the 5 most prevalent protestant churches in the US, (southern baptists, united methodists, church of god in christ, national baptist convention and evangelical lutheran) and it's easily googlable for four of them that they're against divorce. The exception is the nbc, where who knows, but I doubt they're huge divorce lovers. They all cite the obvious passages of the bible, e.g. Mark 10:9, which are the tenets that you're looking for.

Yes, but there are obstacles that slow the process, and a mechanism to ensure some kind of (semi-) equitable division of assets accrued during the marriage. Thus, more security than if there weren't a marriage.

Probably for years. Have you seen /r/DeadBedrooms ? You'll find husbands and wives who've stuck with partners who won't have sex with them for way longer than they should have.

They don’t exactly give you a trophy for it. Most denominations frown on it, and view it as an absolute last resort, albeit not prohibited. I’d be surprised if the majority didn’t consider it a sin though.

Less than five years married in BC here. I’m not seeing it. Do you have any links to any data for this?

I don’t usually blue-pill this hard, but IMO most men who aren’t sociopaths will bond just as hard with their children as mothers. You seem to suggest that men dedicate themselves to their children as a result of their dedication to their wives; I think it’s the reverse. Children greatly magnify a mans dedication to their wives. Hence you’ll often hear men speak with emotion about “the mother of my children”. Your larger point, though, that a woman would be foolish to have children without the s…

Alimony is not the same thing as division of property. It’s a claim against your future pay checks. And it’s true that alimony is less prevalent and becoming more about rehabilitation than maintenance. Usually assets acquired during a marriage will be split evenly, this is a one time thing, and property held prior to marriage is supposed to be excluded. Also, IANAL, these are generalizations, you’ll find exceptions.

I'd say it's both. The difference between blue-pilled men and red-pilled men is almost entirely cultural. (There have been intriguing studies which found biological differences between right wing and left wing individuals. I'd expect a modest biological difference which can predispose people towards blue pill or red pill ideas, but that's pure speculation). You're right of course that men have more at stake on their partner's fidelity, but women also have powerful biological reasons to not want …

I don't disagree, except that the idea that enjoying sex and promiscuity are inextricably linked is extreme blue, and at least until recently would have been a fringe blue position. Due to cultural changes in the last decade +, it appears to be becoming more mainstream. As a result, girls who enjoy sex are currently much more likely to have high N counts than in the past (though among teenagers the trend appears to have recently reversed). As a result, though it's entirely possible, as you say, …

To the extent that there can be a fair articulation of a red-pill consensus ideal, this is it. low N count woman chaste among other men ravenous with her partner husband I'll go out on a limb though, and argue that this ideal crosses over to blue-pill men (though not quite as strongly) and even to women as well. Women in general want their husband to desire them and not to desire other women. The main difference I'd argue is that women (and a larger proportion of blue-pill men) will be more ok w…

And for average man above the age of 30 who is still single for whatever reason, would this be his dating market? This varies very much by location. In large blue-state coastal cities in the US, no this would not be the dating market. There are tons of childless women available. In more conservative areas, yes, very likely. Regarding what kind of men wife up single moms, as usual the red-pill is taking a true phenomenon, "single moms are less desirable and attract less desirable men on average",…

It sounds like you agree with the basic premise that a single-mom is less desirable, other things being equal.

If they're actively childfree, they're not going to be much use to redpill men who want to propagate muh genes.

Which scenario? The one where a man makes a move, the one where he doesn't make a move, or the rare one where a woman makes a move? I'd argue those scenarios together account for all relationships, low quality or otherwise.

Well, no, social constructs can't be intrinsic to life as humans. The conventional definition of "social construct" is something that is invented by a society, that is not innate or biological. You seem to be making a case that social constructs are not not a social construct, that our ability to create them is innate (maybe, but dubious), but that has nothing to do with the question of whether violence is innate (it is).
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/19 08:58 PM

Usually when something is called a social construct without cause, the cause is ideological. In this case I think it's faulty definitions.

This makes no sense. Violence predates anything that we would call society; it predates our existence as humans; it has always been an intrinsic part of life, though usually, mercifully, on the periphery. Violence, and our capacity for it is innate.

Men would much rather make a move and get shot down than not make a move and miss an opportunity. Even more importantly, women tend to agree. A woman will typically forgive overeagerness, provided that a man backs off respectfully. She will never forgive a man for not making a move.* *The exceptions to this are women who make a move themselves. I've benefited from that more than once, but it's rare.
