It's only autists on Reddit who think being a childfree antinatalist (I'm not exactly against antinatalism btw) will absolve everyone of all of their problems. Having kids is arguably the greatest motivation people have in their lives to be productive, and it's literally one of the driving reasons people even decide to have relationships in the first place. Sure, your life might be very convenient and easy from 20-45, but it also eats people alive (both men and women) when they get to the 45-60+ range.

One of the biggest complaints married women have nowadays is not being able to have as many kids as they truly wanted.

Think about how many marriages there are that they decided to work things out for the betterment of the kids? It's probably a ton, especially in the West where divorce is seen in a very positive light.

What you should really be criticizing is lack of proper safe sex education and the financial illiteracy in the US (which leads to people having kids way too early in life), rather than having the kids themselves.

Plenty of happily married couples out there with tons of kids too you now. Besides the child free thing is usually me me me me me and that never really works out well in a relationship.

Get your shit sorted out early. Realize that a mid-level salaried job isn’t enough anymore, and you need to start making money moves that could benefit your future.

It's likely as diverse as everything else, best looked at on a per case basis.

I do imagine "classic" dating to be a bit less "logistic costly", but the relationship part, not only not sure, I'm leaning more towards the idea that many couples don't toss things aside at the sight of the 1st personal problem, recognizing there are responsibilities and consequences, should the responsibilities not be handler responsibly, so a lot of "problems" become trivialities when the couple is "childfull".

It really comes down to if your relationship is good or not. If you have a rocky one, it's only going to be exacerbated with kids.

All the happy couples I know who had kids are still happy and doing quite well.

All the couples that probably shouldn't have had kids, most have split and the drama never ceases.

As much work it is and money to spend, feeling like my father doing things with him and watching kids grow up is kind of something I want to do.

That being said, it has to be with the right person and one should consider that for what it is : a cost. So if I'm bringing anyone on that goddamned planet, I better make sure they have a shot at living in a comfortable social class and don't struggle with the basics.

Not even close. Most don't even make it that far and they still manage to rack up failure after failure in their relationship history. Look at how many 20 somethings that are childfree have fucking PTSD or similar trauma from a past relationship, it's a god damn tragedy out there for them. It's so bad, that most can't manage to make it 3+ before they've dead bedroomed themselves into a life of anti-depressants and panic attacks...

The only time kids become a problem is when one of these anxiety ridden mental cases manages to latch on to another depressed rudderless ship long enough for their preferred birth control method to fail...

Agree , having children does change the Dynamics in a relationship . If you are single and you are trying to date with children it is awful because not only do you have to worry about their safety because of pedophiles and weirdos you have to try to find somebody that will accept the child as their own because if not it can cause animosity so there's always an issue at hand when you have children and you're single. Most times men if they are not the center of the relationship they feel left out, they get jealous ,then there's animosity, so yeah dating single with children is complicated. In today's world I can understand why people do not want to have children because they are expensive complicated and they change the Dynamics of any relationship that you're in. The need to have children just to pass on your genetic code is no longer really needed with like 6 billion people on Earth we are already overpopulated lol

I agree for the most part and probably won’t ever have kids. However, reproduction is a basic instinct and the reason we have relationships in the first place. Not everyone has this instinct strongly, but it’s the main reason behind why we’re driven to pair up and why we don’t die out.
