But it would have been on better (i.e. the guy's) terms.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 05:52 PM

The number of times that my ex shit tested me and wanted me to be a man and shut that shit down is so apparent now. Yeah -- me too (two marriages). Sometimes guys are slow learners.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 05:51 PM

Because they're way cooler than pandas!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 05:41 PM

Replacing civilized cultures with less civilized ones is regression So Japanese and German cultures are the civilized ones? Funny that's not the takeaway I got from history class.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 05:39 PM

people mindlessly reproducing like animals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xat1GVnl8-k
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 05:36 PM

only after like 4 dates Sorry dude but if she hasn't taken you by the hand and led you to her bedroom before the 4th date she's really not that into you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:50 PM

Cultures wax and wane all the time. Humanity persists. Indeed humanity is better off with less Balkanization.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:47 PM

Who cares? Racial purity should never be the goal.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:37 PM

Demographic changes are slow. The economic system will adapt.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:33 PM

If the whole world of 8bil people advanced to Western levels then we'd not be able to sustain it. Another reason a declining population is a good thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:16 PM

A world with only four billion people? The horror!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:15 PM

Immigration is exactly what Japan needs. They've been isolationist for far too long.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 02:13 PM

Japan is that pilot and that impact is their economy going boom when those elderly people have no one to care for them. Wealth transfer to the rescue. There are literally billions of people nearby they can hire.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 01:46 PM

Yeah -- the only time there weren't kids in my place messing stuff up was when I first moved in with my first wife when we were 19. She got custody of her little brothers soon after.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 01:43 PM

I don't but old people do. They're just going to have to sell those overpriced houses to pay people. Some intergenerational and interracial wealth transfer will be a good thing. .
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 01:37 PM

We have billions of people to spare.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 06:33 AM

I get nervous if the house is too clean.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 06:29 AM

Not a problem. Life will go on without individuals who refuse to reproduce be they pandas or Japanese men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 06:26 AM

Did you win? Women don't like losers.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 05:34 AM

Fatties are extra sexy! Just left a Bay Area Wal-Mart. Americanized Asian women are nice and fat too now. God bless America!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 04:00 AM

Funny thing is that every time I've had to get physical (or at least threaten to) I've gotten laid very enthusiastically soon thereafter.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 03:51 AM

Males fight for access to females. Always have and always will. We're just like all the other mammals. AMALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 03:26 AM

Society needs plumbers more than it needs code monkeys.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 03:22 AM

You don't have to do the socially acceptable thing. All that matters is that you beat the shit out of your competition -- either literally or figuratively.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 03:19 AM

It's actually not a compromise. Being the best you means competing with other guys. If you win your reward often includes access to women.

"I like to travel" Translation = I like to fuck hot guys who can't pester me later because they live on the other side of the planet.

"men don't like hanging out with only other men for too long." A true statement for many guys. I could go the rest of my life without hanging out with just the guys. Boring AF. Women are much more entertaining (in lots of ways).
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 02:20 PM
2

men like that really prefer the company of women more I would have thought this would be self-evident to everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 02:16 PM
2

crystal clear to me that men don’t like hanging with only other men for too long Exactly, high school guys hang out in groups -- adult men don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 02:14 PM
1

with women being more comfortable than men going on a vacation with a group made only of people of the same sex. Once they get past their teenage/college years guys don't generally hang in groups.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 02:12 PM

That's an out of date model. Yeah -- social media validation has replaced self-actualization. WTF is self-actualization anyway?

I need at least 7 inches and thick!, singing happily along with Don't Want No Short Dick Men, I'm a chubby chaser -- a certain minimum is required to get the job done with big women.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 02:01 PM
2

I could only imagine how many guys have been left or cheated on just because he's sporting an acorn. Happens all the time. It's one of the reasons women do first-date BJs. They want to "see what (they're) working with". They don't want to waste time on a guy who will ultimately disappoint.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 01:58 PM
4

Nah. You don't want to be THAT guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 01:53 PM

to avoid fucking a guy who is pushing That's just messed up! No one should ever engage in sex acts they don't want to engage in.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/21 01:52 PM

“if I wanna blow a guy I also wanna fuck him the same time ... Provided she likes what she sees during step 1. Women use BJs to size up guys.

Real Men eat meat They do if they want to avoid being protein deficient. Meat's not a problem. It's the hamburger buns and fries guys eat with the meat that are the problem.

Most evenings I'm fine without socializing. When I lived in cities I'd go on long walks. I was fine just watching people and not interacting. However, ever now and then I'll go out and actually socialize.

Introverts meet people all the time if and when we decide to.

I'm an INTP and I've slept with 57 women (maybe more if I've forgotten one or two meh encounters). INTPs can be successful. We just have to put our logical systematic brain to the task. My strategy has always been to seek venues where I competitive.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 09:22 PM
1

Not all INTPs are on the spectrum. I'm an INTP but I'm actually very good at reading people's emotional cues and reactions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 09:15 PM
2

The description of INTP personality is spot on for me.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:59 PM

if all your relationships are short-lived then it just means no one can fucking stand you This! Having scores of short-lived "relationships doesn't mean you're good at relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:52 PM
3

One thing I've noticed is serial monogamists tend be thought of as "successful" in terms of their relationships. Yeah -- this is actually a problem. A woman who dissolves LTRs/marriages whenever it suits her is the worst bet. I'll take a slut who never committed to guys she didn't love over a serial monogamist any day of the week.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:49 PM

Emotional responses to external stimuli are very interesting. And fun to study. I like to think of my high n-count as participant observation research.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:42 PM
2

I'm about as INTP as it's possible to be. I've understood that the world is totally illogical since I was a teenager. I also learned that organisms that don't adapt perish. Thus I've spent my life testing strategies for coping with the illogic around me. Sometimes my life hacks work. Sometimes, they don't and I have to reevaluate.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:39 PM
5

Introverts aren't all basement-dwelling losers. Lots of us are out and about in the world. We just keep to ourselves a bit more and don't always have to be engaging with people. Lots of the time we just kick back and watch the world (this is why INTPs make good scientists).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:30 PM

As a guy, a woman has to be pretty awful in bed to "not be feeling it" Nah, it's not really a voluntary thing. After sex, you either feel like sticking around or you don't. In at least a third of my encounters, I didn't feel like staying. It's kind of like ordering a new item at a restaurant. You don't really know if you're going to like it until you try it. If it's just meh you'll never order that item again.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:05 PM

If a consensual casual hookup = pumping & dumping the phrase really doesn't mean much. I agree it doesn't. 99% of women who complain about pumping & dumping walked in with their eyes wide open.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 02:00 PM

No one cares how long it takes or how much effort it takes to create the finished product. Guys don't get points for effort. Only results matter.

fucked over because the more confident men, regardless of whether they’re attractive, are overshadowing shy men. Yeah -- so what? Males compete for females (didn't you guys watch nature shows when you were kids). Some guys win and get to reproduce. Others are evolutionary failures. Mother Nature is a giant bitch.

Do any men want housewives? Hell NO! The last thing I want is another dependent. Everybody needs to work. I went to university and then grad school -- she needs to have done so too. I make a six-figure income -- she needs to as well.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 08:34 PM

A walking date can still be a great date if he put some thought behind it. I'll let you in on a little secret. Guys take all their women on the same circuit. In SoCal, I always took women for a walk on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. In Stockton, I'd take women on walks in Victory Park. In Sacramento McKinley Park.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:09 PM

The first five years of my marriage I was blissfully happy and totally fucking clueless.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 01:32 PM

It killed my delusions about people loving people for who they are. Exactly!!! I always knew that this was the way of the world most of the time. However, I held out hope that there were at least a few unicorns out there. I know better now.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 01:30 PM

Cool. Last time I checked I didn't have a credit score. I haven't had a credit card for over 20 years so they didn't have enough information to calculate one.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 01:19 PM

137 men who made the final cut failed to a bald average dude. He's significantly better than average looking and it's a safe bet that he's way better educated than average and makes significantly more money than average. He's not Chad (i.e. top 2 or 3 percent) but he's easily top 20%.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:52 AM

He's significantly better looking than her and looks to be an educated MC/UMC guy. Thus, he's easily top 20% and, therefore, hardly average.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:48 AM

Ain't nothing free in this life Ironically sluts are one of the very few exceptions to this rule. Sluts fuck you because they're actually into you. This is what makes sluts so freakin great!!! Sex loses all its value when it's monetized.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:41 AM

a slut who requires compensation is ... a “whore” Bingo. Sluts and hoes are not the same -- not even close. Hoes fuck you for money. Sluts fuck you because they're actually into you. Diametrically opposed motivations that make all the difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:38 AM

These women become prudes after marriage Hoes become prudes after marriage because they already have what they want (the $$$). Sluts will fuck you till the day you die.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:30 AM

Yeah -- guys here need to understand that there is nothing better (or more loyal) than a slut in love. Bonus points if she has a big fat round booty!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:25 AM

pornstar sex That goes without saying. If your slut is in love that's part of the package. If you're not getting that what you have is a hoe. Sluts and hoes are two totally different animals -- although guys here often confuse the two.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 02:23 AM

it kind of accentuates athletic/muscular features Yeah -- one-length buzz cuts work. Especially with a short but full beard. https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/352054895851173472/

You can't wife a hoe because hoes are in it for the money. Sluts in love, however, are the best marriage prospects. They fuck you because they're actually into you.

“nice guys” who try to be nice to everyone even at the expense of their own happiness and well being. You'd be surprised how many of that type are out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 03:47 PM
2

I wouldn't know -- too many conservatives going off the rails dominating the news cycle.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:41 PM

It's gross sex! Why would anyone ever have sex with someone they don't want?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:39 PM
2

WTF are you talking about?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:24 PM
2

We don't care about emotional connection. You don't. Lots of other women who like sex and have sex often love the emotional connection aspect. Also, just because someone is not monogamous doesn't mean they don't crave and enjoy emotional connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:23 PM
2

you pay to use her body for your own pleasure Still not biting. Having a woman actually want you is part and parcel of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:21 PM
6

Sorry but paying a woman to pretend that she likes me is just not an option for me. I'd rather bang a 4 who actually wants to fuck me than pay a 9 to pretend.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:43 PM
3

alot of the men who think they are just as sexually driven as they were when they were 20 years old, it's literally no comparison lol I've actually done some participant observation field research. I noted the when ensconced in a suitable location without distractions (i.e. hotel room) for a 24 hour period with a willing female a healthy 18-year-old guy can perform 12-16 times, the same guy at 40 only 8-10 times, and at 55 only 6 or 7 times. Decline is inevitable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:39 PM

I had my first set of kids in my early 20s. Dating a woman the same age as my own daughter just seems wrong (as well as not feasible).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:28 PM

Since logic is a hallmark of INTPs and reality has a liberal bias I'm thinking left-leaning INTPs are the norm. INTPs are basically the college professor type most of who are very liberal.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:21 PM

they date women closer to their age. Yet another self-evident truth many can't seem to grasp.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:19 PM
1

as they age when you’d either need an absurd amount of money or be extremely fit. Just be top 1% bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:17 PM
2

I was hottest when I was 19. In this guys really aren't as different from women as many here seem to think. I'm 57 and still get laid. However, I now have to do a bit more than just walk into a party/club and stand there looking very tall and somewhat hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:16 PM
5

Money is a secondary factor to actual sexual desire Yeah -- I don't know why so many guys here won't admit that money doesn't get guys hot sex. At best it gets setting up the swindle sex. Being hot gets guys hot sex with hot babes. Being hot becomes infinitely harder as one ages.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:11 PM
8

I am 42 and it's over for me. I was hot as a kid and got laid all the time with no money: you start to fade out around 35, 38. It;s all downhill for younger women from there. Transitions are hard. Middle-age guys don't get young women unless they outright pay. Such is life. Doesn't mean we can't have fun banging older women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:07 PM
13

45 men are physical grandpa's, we don't want them. Yeah -- the idea that twenty-something women are fucking old dudes on the regular is a huge delusion. Ordinary 45-year-old guys are lucky if they can pull a woman in her late thirties.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:04 PM
6

the whol emddle age sexual peak thing is a misframing of the fact that older women become more COMFORTABLE with hteir sexuality Yeah -- 40 something women are more generally DTF than young women. However, back in the day women in their late teens and early twenties would rip my back to shreds while we were fucking. That kind of passion is hard to find in older women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 12:59 PM
1

The women use sex to foster dependence and to drive a wedge between the boy and his family. Sex is an integral part of the manipulation. The child comes to depend on his sexual abuser. When the child's family tries to intercede the the abuse assures her victim that "she's the only one who cares about him" that "she's the only one who understands him" ... I've seen this scenario play out multiple times.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 06:35 AM
3

If they're hot it's actually even worse. When a 30 something woman gets a 14 or 15-year-old boy to have feelings for her the boy's development is short-circuited. The boy's unhealthy attachment to the older woman prevents him from having age-appropriate experiences. The older women often encourage dependence. When the relationship ends (usually when the woman moves on to another boy) the now-adult victim is left adrift and underdeveloped.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 06:29 AM
1

i've had a few adventures with much older women in my teens. An 18 or 19-year-old guy having sex with a mid 20s woman is generally not a problem. A 30 or 40 something woman messing with a 14 or 15-year-old boy is a major league problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 06:21 AM

A chorus of men saying ... they wished that it happened to them. But it didn't so they don't realize how messed up male victims become.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 06:18 AM

Teenagers exploring their sexuality with other teenagers is normal. Older women sexually exploiting young teenage boys is messed up.

men on here saying they don’t think a boy being raped is as damaging I can tell you those guys are 100% wrong. I'm a public defender and I've had a steady stream of male clients who are totally messed up because they were molested by older women when they were young teenagers.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 05:22 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:57 AM

My GF has an old friend who's like that. He's been living off women for the last 20 years. He's good looking and super muscular. If a guy has that he doesn't need to bring anything else to the table.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:37 AM

I agree that becoming unattracted is involuntary. Unfortunately that means marriage vows are worthless and people cannot expect to have lifelong partners. Reality sucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:31 AM

women delude themselves Yes, they do! When a woman marries her BB she most likely real does love him. However, it's the type of love that will not last.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 03:04 PM
7

People are masters of self-delusion. Women convince themselves that their new BB really is a great catch. This delusion can last several years. But sooner or later she'll start longing for the hot guy she really wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 02:59 PM

women may consider a man attractive enough to date short or long term even if third party observers don’t They see his other po$itive Characteri$tic$.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 02:37 PM

Not every woman thinks that the same kind of guy is physically attractive, but it's important for a guy to appeal to at least what some woman is going to think is physically attractive. Yeah, most women find only a few percent of guys attractive. Collectively about 20% of guys have a fan base. The other 80%? Sucks to be them.

less attractive women and more attractive women received a similar boost in desirability if they were intelligent, which the researchers weren’t expecting Dumb women are boring AF. Dumb women can't flirt. Dumb women are more likely to be needy AF. So of course men like smart women more.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 01:37 PM
12

So women think their long term options are attractive even though other people don’t? Of course they do -- no woman is going to admit they play the AF/BB game. As usual, watching what women do provides far more information than listening to what they say.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 01:33 PM

Cities and regions have their own dating cultures. I had no problem getting dates when I lived in the Seattle metro area. However, when I moved down to Portland dating was much more difficult -- took me a long time to find someone -- and she was from San Jose.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 04:11 AM

Men expect women to look good, be loyal and mentally stable. Men wish women would be loyal and mentally stable. However, we learn you can't always get what you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 02:50 AM

overlap between social awkwardness and lack of dating success To a certain extent. However, if a guy is attractive enough women won't care. When I was in college I couldn't put two coherent sentences together in front of a woman but I still got laid because I'm very tall and I looked pretty good back then.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 02:47 AM

Some people are always going to be below average.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 02:42 AM

I'm being totally serious. Status in one's group is always more important than the number of things a person has. Being able to run really fast conveys more status than owning really expensive running shoes.

I'll worry about my relationships. Other consenting adults can worry about theirs. I reserve the right to mock others when they do stupid shit. However, just because I think someone is stupid or delusional doesn't mean their conduct is wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 10:29 PM

The anti-vax folks have the freedom to refuse the jab. Their employers have the freedom to terminate the unvaccinated. Businesses have the right to refuse service. No shirt, no shoes, no vaccination card = no service.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 10:18 PM

Lines for vaccination are long gone. Online DMV services work great for renewals. Not so much for obtaining original documents. In any case obtaining the foundational documents is often the biggest hurdle. Also, doesn't do you much good if you get a text to come down in 30 minutes when the nearest DMV is a three hour drive assuming you have access to a car.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 10:11 PM
1

Who cares about right or wrong. Law and religion have no rational basis to police consensual adult relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 09:49 PM

What voter fraud? This issue has been investigated every which way. It's abundantly clear that voter fraud is essentially nonexistent in the United States. Also, all you have to do to get vaccinated is ask. It doesn't cost anything. It doesn't require the provision of hard to obtain documents. It doesn't require standing in lines for hours.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 09:40 PM

Yes, status is always far more important than material possessions.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 09:24 PM

WTF? You're proud of endangering the lives of your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 09:19 PM

It's far easier to get a vaccination card than government ID. Also, vaccine verification doesn't impact a fundamental right. Thus, apples and oranges.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 09:16 PM

I had to take a photo of my vaccination card and text it to my boss.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 08:42 PM

No one -- not girlfriends -- not wives -- wants to listen to guys bitch.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 08:23 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 12:11 AM

Vaccines work. This is not news.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:56 PM

Thanks. Now I'm thinking about the minimal contacts rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:32 PM

I don't remember there being any vaccination clauses in the constitution. Regardless, no one's forcing anyone. You can sit at home unemployed if you like.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:30 PM

A funny one.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:27 PM

Being scientifically literate makes you a sheep?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 11:26 PM

For now.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 09:59 PM

Either get vaccinated or get tested every week. Pretty soon vaccinations will be required by most reputable employers. Get used to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 09:58 PM

Great. Now we can all be shallow and paranoid.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 09:30 PM

an age in which men will be admonished to not "let themselves go" after marriage?! If they want to stay married they better not let themselves go. That's just a fact in today's world. Whether guys like this reality or not is irrelevant. Reality is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 02:01 PM

leaving something so involved, energy intensive, and impactful as raising kids to your sunset years when you’re supposed to relaxing Who said anything about leaving having kids to later. I was 23 when my oldest kid was born. I had one set of kids with my first wife. Twenty years later I had a second set with my second wife. I wouldn't be averse to having a couple more now. Kids are relaxing. The idea of living in a retirement community playing cards and golf with boring old people horrifies me.

No different than romance novels then.

Yeah -- I laugh when people say Billy Beta the timid code monkey could easily get a working-class GF. Women in the hood or trailer park wouldn't be the least bit interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 02:17 AM

Why do women think hooking up is a date? Because if they classify it as a date they're not engaging in casual sex. They're just having really short relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:52 AM

Building stuff and operating heavy equipment is actually lots of fun. Far more satisfying than pushing paper.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:50 AM

Your kid is going to be 20 and having to take care of you rather than being able to rely on their dad on a lot of stuff when they’re first encountering the adult world. Lots of guys are still working at 70. My dad worked until he was 78. A guy has to be very unfortunate to need care at 70.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:29 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 12:49 AM

Hank and Karen's relationship is amazingly similar to the relationship I had with my first wife (but with nicer cars, houses, and bars).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 12:43 AM

My financial standards for women have gone up too. If she wants me to have a six figure income she needs one too.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 07:19 PM

Never dated in a big city. Any tips? There will always be bigger fish so you're game better be on point. Maybe that you're not quite ready for the big leagues and will have to spend some time in the minors. When I lived in the NYC area most of my dates were from Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and towns along the MetroNorth line. I didn't have the cash to play in Manhatten.

seems to me that the 50th centile guy under 35 is actually pretty attractive. If your sample is skewed toward MC/UMC guys sure. However, many poor and working-class folks are pretty damn beat up by the time they're 35.

the crazy Canuck law that if you've been living together for a year you're treated the same as a married couple You're only treated the same as married for tax purposes and for calculating benefit eligibility. Since Canadians don't file joint returns the tax thing means little for most folks. The benefits thing is so mom doesn't collect welfare or other means-tested benefits while dad makes 100K in the oil fields -- it's basically a man-in-the-house rule which I would have thought conservatives …

/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/21 03:47 AM

the journalist has assumed that everyone's personal testimony about their own lives is accurate And more importantly that they're not a representative sample. Not quite. Ontario doesn't recognize common law marriage. It allows people to sue for support in certain instances (not likely present for younger people). This recognition doesn't extend to property rights. In Ontario, section 29 of the Family Law Act specifically recognizes unmarried spouses in dealing with spousal support issues. The definition is having cohabited continuously for not less than three years or "in a relationship of some permanence" if parents of a child. However, common-law sp…

I lived in Canada for more than 20 years. Including cohabitating with a woman I had two kids with. You're treated the same as married for tax purposes and for benefit eligibility purposes but not when it comes to property and spousal support issues. My advice regarding "divorce-rape" stands.

The bare minimum required for a 1950s style middle class existence now probably requires an umc income (and higher if one lives in cali). I bought a decent little built n 1947 house for 61K in 1990. Today that same house is worth 600K (I sold it for 90K in 1996). The house increased in value 10X. My salary only increased 4X. And that's only because I've moved up the ladder a lot. My old job only pays about 2X what it did in 1990.

She's not really awkward -- people like her -- she just doesn't care. She interacts better with older people. She says her goal is to start college at 14. That doable. She started kindergarten a year early so she only has to complete 7 years of classes in the next 4 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 07:16 PM

My daughter is insanely smart (sorry other offspring but this one's the smartest). Online will allow her to go to college at least two years early. Thinking she could socialize then. Nothing good ever happens in middle school.

My 10 year old daughter doesn't want to go back to in person learning. She's gotten to like online school and decided she doesn't really like people. It's a good family car. We took ours camping last year. We managed to fit two adults, two kids, all our stuff, and four bicycles in/on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 06:37 PM

Cars don't get guys laid. I used to have a 1968 Oldsmobile convertible. People commented how nice it was all the time. But that's it. Babes didn't throw themselves into the front seat. As long as I stay relatively fit I get laid. I'd pay for a personal trainer before I paid for a fancy car.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 06:33 PM

It's actually a great car. It's very versatile. It can fit four full-size adult people. Fold down the seat and you can fit lots of stuff. It has a trailer hitch for my bike rack. It's fast enough. Handles well enough. Is insanely reliable. And does all this while getting 44 mpg. Best of all it only cost me 2K. I've put on over 110,000 miles since I bought it.

I had a case where a woman called the Highway Patrol to report that Sheriff's deputies were breaking into her house -- they were -- to serve a search warrant. An armed standoff followed with the crazy lady barricaded in her bedroom with a rifle. The really crazy thing is that she had been at least relatively normal before she turned 40 (she had been a firefighter). Her excuse was that her lesbian lover had put meth in her food.

A surprising number of older women end up in trouble with the law. Guys go off the rails earlier but when women do it's usually in a very dramatic way. Less than an hour ago we arraigned a sweet older lady on first degree residential burglary charges. Not a recipe for a happy life.

These are oddly specific qualities of a female that I don't possess, and I rarely see other women possess. The type specimen is of course an extreme example. I have seen quite a bunch of men on here telling women that theyshould have sex People should never participate in any sexual activity they don't want to participate in. If a woman doesn't want to have sex with a guy that's fine -- she certainly doesn't have to. Likewise, guys are not obligated to stick around waiting for a woman to decide. Everyone has agency.

If I'm not mistaken the National Crime Victims survey is a phone poll so less than reliable. Also, what a reporting party thinks is rape and what actually constitutes rape are maybe two entirely different things. Next morning buyers' remorse is not rape. Interestingly if DAs are only getting convictions in 50% of cases they prosecute it means they're giving the alleged victims the benefit of the doubt and filing questionable cases (the standard DA convictions rates are usually over 80%). DA's us…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 05:30 AM

The criminal justice system comes down on people accused of sex crimes like a ton of bricks. The vast majority plead and agree to spend years in prison to avoid life sentences even when they have defensible cases. Two years ago I had to very reluctantly plead a guy I believed to be factually innocent to a six-year deal. He was afraid that if he went to trial he'd get life (not an unreasonable fear).

Mother Nature always prevails. No way in hell you're ever going to convince teenage boys and young men that sex isn't important. Indeed the more you try the more they'll obsess about sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 05:08 AM

In the case I'm dealing with the cops forwarded an entire stack of reports and interview videos along with a recommendation to file rape charges. Does that sound like sweeping shit under the rug? The deputy DA assigned the case had to reign the cops in. If she hadn't a very embarrassing trial would have ensued since it was just a case of two drunk teenagers getting it on.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 05:01 AM

Once she hit 250 lbs my first wife wore nothing but leggings and big shirts (with white tennis shoes). That was the fat girl uniform of the 80s and 90s.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 04:43 AM

School and police won't do anything. You'd be wrong about that. Credible rape allegations are vigorously investigated. Even not-so-credible ones are thoroughly investigated. I have a huge file on my desk that involves two drunk teenagers having sex. Cops really tried to make it a rape by intoxication one strike felony (i.e. a 15-to-life case). Ultimately the DA charged it as a misdemeanor unlawful intercourse case -- a 19-year-old guy had sex with a 17-year-old girl.

The Portland house we paid 116K for in 1995 and sold for 148K in 1998 is now, according to Zillow, worth 555K (and that's with less lot than we had -- a skinny house was built on what used to be a really big side yard). It's a really crappy house on a street that still isn't paved in deep SE Portland.

The only thing I wouldn’t like is if she’s lying but is actually like other women, This is exactly what's wrong with 99% of these women. If a woman feels compelled to tell you she's "not like those other bitches" it's almost a certainty that she's not -- she's lots worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 03:10 AM

I've been around long enough to know that real estate prices can and do go down. That house I bought for 60K in 1989 had been worth 80K in 1979 before oil prices plummeted and crashed the Texas and Alberta real estate markets. And then there's that house I bought in Stockton in 2003 (what the fuck was I thinking). On a really depressing note, the house we bought for 160K in 1999 in Berkeley is now worth 1.2 million. Unfortunately, we lost it in 2005 because of my first wife's drug issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 02:56 AM

Will need to muscle out some of my clients from under the bridge.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 02:49 AM

A house I like was recently listed for 600K. My first reaction was to think "that's not so bad". Then I realized the asking price is ten times what I paid for my first house in 1989 (which is now also worth about 600K but which we sold for 90K in 1996). This is insane. I've advanced a lot career-wise since 1989 but I still only make four times what I made back then.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 02:02 AM

How about being an interesting human being so that guys will want to stick around after the sex. Guys don't only want sex but if that's all a woman has to offer they're not going to say no. They just aren't going to stick around after.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 12:01 AM

Guys need to avoid timid women.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:57 PM

If a woman doesn't make a guy feel special why would he even consider dating her?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:52 PM

Nah! We love sluts (i.e. women who want to fuck us). We hate hoes (i.e. women who want to extract cash and other resources from us).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:51 PM

Women aren't special. Many certainly believe they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:49 PM

If I fuck a guy quickly, it's because I said "Well he's hot but WAAAAAY beneath my standards for dating." So you'll fuck a hot loser straight away but not an equally hot guy who has his shit together. That's an insane illogical strategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:48 PM

Attraction makes people take risks. Guys if your woman isn't taking risks -- if she's always playing it safe -- she's not that into you. Dump her and find a woman that is into you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:44 PM

However I can't know if I want to marry that man before he jump all the hoops Any woman who erects hoops is a no-go. No sane gay with other options is going to waste time on such a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:41 PM

I personally don't care how high a woman's n-count is, as long as she's hot for me and attracted to me in that way. Yeah, as long as she's bringing her A-game it's all good.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:38 PM

Red pillers really resent having to put in effort Guys need to put effort into making themselves attractive. Then it's up to women to either accept or reject the end product. No guy should ever try to talk/cajole/pester a woman into sex. If a particular woman isn't interested that's fine -- there's always more.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 11:36 PM

Yeah a tall fit guy can easily get hot thin women for casual sex I've fucked a few thin women over the years. It's not all that. I'll stick with fatties.

I'm distinguishing between the super obese and the moderately overweight. A BMI of 30 for an otherwise healthy active person is not going to impact health in any appreciable way. Most people with BMI's of 30 don't even look fat in street clothes. The few pounds difference between a BMI of 26 and a BMI of 30 may change the way a person looks in a swimsuit but it's not going to have much impact on their health.

Lots of women want a ’teddy bear’ bodied partner. Some women who like big strong guys will settle for a guy with a lineman-type body when guys with linebacker-type bodies are not available. The vast majority of fat guys do not fit the "teddy bear" mold.

You're just chilling having a beer and listening to the band or staring into the bonfire or whatever and next thing you know theirs a woman standing close looking up at you with big eyes.

Hell, I even got arrested several times and spent a couple of nights in jail (but never convicted of any criminal code violation). I eventually made it to college and then grad school (although I still skipped a lot of classes).

They can lose weight, we can't lose our trauma. In many cases the weight is a response to the trauma. Some people with high ACE scores turn to alcohol and drugs -- some turn to food.

I'm not sure why you bring them up in a discussion about obesity. A huge percentage of super obese people have high ACE scores. Extreme obesity should never be examined without considering the effects of adverse childhood experiences.

Massive obesity is often associated with adverse childhood experiences. So the health consequences attributed to obesity in many cases have other contributing factors.

I'm used to working through stuff by myself. When I'm feeling down I just like to be left alone. I'll listen to music until late at night. Last week I found out that a woman I dated in the 90s died of COVID. Two other GFs from the 90s have also died. A high school GF died a few years ago too. A high school buddy also died. I feel a bit sad but since my divorce I don't seem to feel things as deeply as I used to. I have young kids and grandkids. They're always good for lifting one's spirit.

I get approached directly by fatties. Works great for introverted guys who meet the looks standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 04:00 AM
6

Don't know about that. If there are it's only a tiny fraction of the total.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 03:46 AM
5

More accurate to say that obese women hate dating obese men. Sure it sometimes happens but more and more fat women would rather be on an attractive chubby chasers rotation than be in a relationship with a fat guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 03:02 AM
1

Fatties will be all over what they like (a guy or chocolate cake). But they're not interested in less attractive guys (or broccoli). A common fatty strategy is to go hard for the hot guy in hopes of beating out the thinner competition.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 02:48 AM
1

Yeah -- fatties look great in two-piece swimsuits.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/21 02:44 AM

If you can't bag a fatty I have real bad news for you. It's on you. Fatties are damn picky these days -- because they can be -- just like thin women can be.

It's always the guys fault. Hung out with an old friend for a few hours this past weekend. Apparently she had to endure a terrible 14 year marriage because I didn't pursue her vigorously enough in 1995.

The 80/20 split existed long before the internet. Hot guys in the 1970s got way more than their proportionate share of the action. Not hot guys got scraps (just like now). The 80% gets some action. They're generally not totally shut out.

Dating requires some minimum basic assumption of good faith. And also an awareness of female proclivities. A guy can be aware of the downsides of "women's nature" without hating women. Indeed I really enjoy the company of women. However, I have to love women for what they are not what I'd like them to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:29 PM
3

Less attractive people have to pick their poison. She can have sex with hot guys until she gets too old for hot guys to want to fuck her or she can settle down with a guy she finds marginally attractive at best. Only top-tier people get fairy tale endings. The rest of us make compromises.

Men care way more about what other men and society think about the women they're with. I've noticed that a lot - status. Everyone cares about status to some extent. However, it's been my experience that women care about the status of their partners far far more than men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:06 PM

men can enjoy fucking women they're not attracted to No! I can have great fun fucking a 5 or 6 if she's into it and she's generally a cool person. However, I'm not going to want to fuck a 3. I can be attracted to a less-than-perfect woman. However, I'm still attracted. I certainly don't want to fuck a woman I'm not attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 02:01 PM

a woman still won't be viscerally attracted, she won't have the tingles, she won't have the involuntary and instinctive desire to please and physically touch the man she's "lowering" her standards for. Very true! Life's a shit deal for guys who are not attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 01:58 PM

What's that word? Starts with a "c".
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 06:54 AM

I haven't met a woman who can't go at least once a day. Some multiple times. If you can't do it at least 10 times per week it's time to see a doctor regardless of gender.

In long term relationships, it’s usually a pattern of behavior rather than one single thing. I'd say in LTRs it's that one person comes to think that they have a better option and their subconscious helps them out the door.

Education is a proxy for income though Education and money are related. However, they're not that closely tied. Educated people with moderate incomes have more social status than many less-educated rich people. Lots of plumbers make as much or more than I do. Regardless I have way more social status.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/21 09:43 PM

Educational hypergamy is not a thing and has never been a thing Don't know what world you're living in but it's the single most important predictor. And it's about a lot more than just money. Graduates from top-tier schools are very different than graduates from also ran schools.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/21 09:39 PM

educational hypogamy is rapidly advancing So basically the OP's cited study refutes his thesis.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/21 09:35 PM

the definition of hypergamy the "Manosphere" uses differs from the kind of hypergamy social sciences defines. Exactly. For educated professional folks, family background means little. However, all the other metrics of mate quality become all the more important. An Ivy League graduate with a six-figure career is not going to marry a community college graduate who's an assistant manager at the local strip mall.

Like a lot of things, sexual marketplace value is hard to define but most people know it when they see it. Back in 2005 I dated two women who were superficially very similar. They looked so similar they could easily have been mistaken for sisters. They had similar UMC but ethnic backgrounds. However, one was just sexier and more fun than the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 06:20 AM

Why not? They keep better records than I do.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 07:24 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 07:19 AM

just a red piller scam to make seeking sexual partners cheaper and more expedient for men? Damn right! I expect an LTR/wife to make my life better emotionally, sexually, and materially. Otherwise, what's the point?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 07:15 AM

In the USA schools will let you know if your kid(s) need a shot. In Canada the local health unit kept track. No need to obsess about this stuff. I bring my kids to work so often my littlest daughter refers to the storage room as "her office".

/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 04:43 PM

Then that man becomes less interested, sees you as a “hoe” No, you're inserting your preconception. We don't see such women as hoes. We see them as disappointments. I've fucked many women on the first or second date and then never wanted to see them again. I didn't see them as hoes. I saw them as women who just, for one reason or another, didn't live up to expectations. It was almost always a bit sad. I had high expectations for several and when it became clear these expectations would not be me…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 01:53 PM

Historically single men in the USA got next to nothing. They've made things gender-neutral now so single women without kids get next to nothing as well now. However, since poor women often have custody of kids and poor men seldom do it's mostly poor men outside the American welfare system.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/21 12:31 PM

Most men are increasingly depending on the welfare state for support. In the USA single men get almost no welfare at all. Food aid -- that's about it.

If a short man can value himself, stand up straight with his shoulders back, and not care what others think, he is always going to be more attractive in my eyes than a bitter or cynical tall guy. Not in the eyes of most women. People need to choose their parents well.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 09:22 PM

The only time it might put a guy over the top is if they’re both the same level of physically attractive. Exactly! It's what separates the winners from the runner-ups. It's not going to help guys who aren't in contention.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 08:07 PM

You might have a point but for the fact that women still reward the winners of male competition.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 05:54 PM

Many of us introverts would actually like to interact more. We just suck at it. I remember my freshman year of college going for weeks without anything other than perfunctory interactions -- and then when there was an opportunity for an actual interaction messing it up -- and then having lots of time to think about how badly I just screwed up.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 05:37 PM

People can achieve great intimacy without sex. Sure -- but not very often. For guys, the vast majority of intimacy occurs after sex.

Intimacy in a romantic relationship occurs only after having sex. This seems self-evident to me but many women here can't seem to grasp this concept.

“What’s the use of friends?” Guys say this after experience has taught them that when women use the term "friends" they most often mean useful idiot.

A lot of guys here are extreme introverts who want sex, but don't like any other human much less women. We don't like other humans but we'll drag a female back to our cave every now and then.

I'm more concerned about what his face is like, his weight, if he has hair, etc. I don't think this is unlike other women either. It's always a package deal no doubt but when there can only be one winner its height that often puts one guy over the top.

Most guys I know aren’t that into casual, and got bored of it. Only a certain type of woman makes a good FWB. They have to be attractive so you want to come back and have a personality that doesn't grow old real quick. However, they also must be someone you wouldn't rather be in an LTR with. Not many women can walk that tightrope.

I do believe men should give the "casual" lifestyle a good try, so that they can disabuse themselves of the notion that sleeping around in the long-term provides a happy, fulfilling life. I was never a really successful player (I once managed to get dumped by both my then GFs on the same day). However, I did have fun trying for a while. In the summer of 1984, I managed to sleep with three different women in one week. In 2003 I shared a hotel room with two women and spent the night going back and…

For heaven's sake, start charging money for the shoes! Not everything can be monetized. Indeed some things (i.e. love) lose all their value when monetized. The value of any woman who openly monetizes her sexuality plummets like a stone.

There are so many men who are into bigger women or women of a certain race but are afraid to date them because men will side eye them. Men care a lot about what other men think of them. This is where being an introvert who doesn't care what other people think becomes an advantage. My GF is fat and black.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/21 03:05 PM

Obesity doesn't slam female attractiveness until middle age. First, there are fewer fat young women. Second, and more importantly, young fatties are still attractive to a large segment of the male population. Sadly, many fatties age poorly so that by middle age only a minority of fat women remain attractive (the wall hits many fatties hard). I say this as a guy who actually prefers fat women.

the 80/20 rule (which is often misunderstood) individual women find far less than 20% of men attractive. I'd estimate the average woman finds maybe 5% of men attractive. This is an important point. 20% of guys have some female constituency. That doesn't mean that all or even a majority of women think a particular member of the 20% is attractive. It's just that enough women find each member of the top 20% attractive so that as a whole that class of men has a fairly easy time dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/21 02:58 PM

"I don't know what I'd do without you" ... "Why do you think you keep getting passed over for promotion" ... . Wages rose and huge swathes of society had more money to spend on consumer goods, from beer to clothing to furniture. With fewer people to feed, the largely agricultural economy could focus more on livestock or specialty cash crops like hops or sugarcane instead of grain. Diets improved and, plague aside, so did health. As long as her life partner is getting her sexual A-game I'm not seeing anything wrong. The problem is in many of these types of relationships the guy isn't getting fucked regularly or enthusiastically.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 02:03 PM

Do women not understand why this is so disgusting? I'm a guy and it doesn't seem disgusting at all. If the woman is indeed looking for an equal partner and not just support in her post-Chad sexual retirement.

"Stop being a pussy" type thinking Won't work for organic mental illness like schizophrenia -- but works great for things like depression that are a lot easier to work through once you stop expecting the world to be fair.

the most humiliating degrading sex Hardly. The OP's description was nothing but everyday intense sex. Thinking a lot of guys here have never experienced anything but starfish sex. call me a slut and pound me till I'm about to pass out Is there really any other way?

The guy working 60 hours a week is not going to have the energy to hit the gym This is very true. After I got married I worked my regular job and took extra cases that I worked on at night. Given it was the middle of the Great Recession I was thankful I still had a decent job. My wife, however, had expensive tastes. I failed to meet expectations and she bailed (but not until she'd lined up a much richer beta chump). Between work, stress, and lack of exercise to was a wreck when my ex left. Took …

A working class family in the past could afford, on a simple factory jobs wage, to have a home, a stay at home wife, etc. On his income. For one generation -- early 1950s to early 1970s. The height of American union membership. Want to bring back something approaching a livable wage -- bring back unions.

Pretty much anywhere in California. A decent but not fancy ranch house is going to set you back at least 700K. Appartments can still be had for less than 2K per month. I rent a 2 bedroom house for $1750 per month. The mortgage payment (including taxes and insurance) on a similar house nearby would be at least twice that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/21 06:05 PM

It's always annoyed me that when I date fat women lots of people think I'm dumpster diving, just looking for an easy lay, or somehow seeking to take advantage of a poor fat girl. It never seems to occur to some people that a guy could actually prefer fat women.

or will not offer a high quality of living to a woman for a SAHM life on his one salary Why the hell would any guy ever do that unless he's so rich he can support a SAHM with his pocket change.? For us ordinary guys there's no ROI with a SAHM. There's a much better ROI when she works and doubles the family income.

I had weight loss surgery. Best thing I ever did. Should have done it ten years earlier. I was a fat kid and suffered as a result. I worked out like crazy in my late teens and early twenties and managed to get and stay thin for a while but it was always a struggle. As I got older it became physically harder to work out and life made it mentally harder as well. It really sneeks up on you. unless they're checking beforehand by getting a little handsy This is exactly what lots of women do. Handsy -- or the first date BJ to see if a second date is warranted. This has actually happened to me multiple times. Some women don't want to sleep with you on the first date but they sure as shit what to know what they're going to get on the second date.

I'm never taking them off then. There's a substantial probability that life will do that for you. One day you'll wake up and realize that he's a broken-down version of his old self who never quite reached his potential. On that day that light will switch off -- you'll have the epiphany that he's "not the man he used to be" and attraction will die then and there.

the #1 male appearance mistake is not putting enough effort into their hair. Using clippers (#2, #3, or #4 depending on mood) remove excess hair -- that's all the effort that's required. you don't get to just find one hairstyle and keep it forever Sure you do. I've had the same hairstyle since 1994. Short spiky hair, Levis 501 jeans, and a black cotton t-shirt. Why would a guy ever have to change?

Women don't have to put themselves out there nearly as often as guys do. A woman posts an OLD profile. Her mailbox fills with responses. She takes her profile down while she dates a guy -- or two -- or three. When she's worked through that batch she puts her profile back up -- rinse and repeat. Her profile is only up a few months of every year. Guys tend to just leave their profiles up. I never took down my 2005 match.com profile. Can't even remember the password now.
