This is exactly what I think, too. They sense that they’re becoming useless, which they are, but instead of making themselves useful they’ll point their useless fingers at women.

The last date that I went on the guy monologued for 20 minutes before I left and unmatched. He matched me again and wrote a long message about how he had so much fun and asked if we could do it again. I’ll try “shut up” next time.

Thanks for saying this. I've had sex with a lot of men because I've been trying to find one that's good, or great, at it. Truthfully, most of them are bad at it so it takes time.

I've lived without a bedframe, because I was constantly moving. Did I invite anyone to come over? Absolutely not. Even with a plausible explanation it's embarrassing. I can't provide comfort to the person I invited. When I finally settled down, the first thing I got was a bedframe. Then, I was only embarrassed about the empty living room. Lol. The point here is that I was embarrassed. Why are these men not embarrassed? It's so pathetic when they double down and give all sorts of excuses for why …

I had something similar happen. The guy said I had "vulgar" jokes and this was in the 2 page letter he'd written to win me back. I puked a little in my mouth reading it because it was so obvious he's telling me that he isn't pleased with me. How's that going to win me over? And I know my jokes are vulgar. I run a women only Meetup. I had to remove 1 out of 10 that tried to join because they were men. So, I added a question asking if they were women, prior to joining. Now I remove 1 out of 25. They're dumb or they're entitled. One guy acknowledged that he had read the question but he "wanted to..." I stopped reading. His wants aren't of interest. Start your own women only Meetup!

I was talking to a guy friend, that keeps a clean home, and compared it between moving in with a girlfriend and moving in with a guy friend. He immediately picked the girlfriend and was very well aware that with the guy friend he'd be picking up dirty socks and come home to dirty dishes in the sink. Sure, some women have dirty homes but the odds are in your favor if your a man. That's why 50/50 makes no sense and men know it. They just pretend to not know it.

He said that he doesn't think you're the one and he doesn't feel a spark. That's how he feels about you. Many men will use women and continue to hang with us for what we provide them (company, giving a shit, cracking jokes, planning fun trips, and so on). He should listen to that episode on NPR about time management. The people that are IN FACT the busiest are the people that find themselves having the most time for the things they want to do. I went to a speed dating event once and this India guy found out that I'm from Europe and went absolutely bonkers. I've been the target of a Mr Sensitive. He would find me when I was alone or try to create a situation where we were alone. He'd also take every opportunity to touch me but in a "safe" spot, like a hand or and an elbow. It was his attempt to try to get me used to him touching me and create a false sense of closeness. Eventually, I had it and told him to stop touching me in front of friends, which slowed him down, but it didn't stop until I stopped hanging out with the friend group all together. …

I am of the opinion that employers should state the salary range up front. Unfortunately, it's not common practice and you may be missing out on job opportunities by only applying for jobs that state the salary. If you apply and they contact you, they're interested, and at that time they should be willing to give you a salary range. If they're not, something is shady.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/11/21 02:58 PM
10

I know this is not the point of your post but to save time, can't you ask for the salary range up front? That's what I do. I don't even entertain an interview if we're not in the same ballpark. The site Ask A Manager is really good with these things, for anyone that's interesting in leveling up in their career.

There is nothing less attractive than an uninterested man. In case an idiot (of, most likely, a man) is reading this: yes, she has to be interested too, for the statement to be true. I may be misunderstanding your message but, no, I don't think that's true at all. Dating is one of those areas where effort doesn't equal reward. You can go a million dates and find your guy. You can also run into him while visiting an island with a population of one. Sure, he's not going to show up in your living room but all you have to do is open your laptop. I belive there are better messages to give to women. I do think it's true that we should remind ourselves that there are good men.

Exactly. The same guy told me that "women like bad men" and I told him that we don't. He just would not listen. He's been told that is what it is and, since it benefits him to believe it, he believes it. Women don't like him. He's a "nice" guy according to himself. Therefore women don't like "nice" guys. I asked a male "friend" why it ended between him and his ex. He said that she had told him that if she got pregnant she'd keep the child, and he doesn't want children. He also doesn't want to use condoms because they "don't feel the same" or whatever bullshit. He had no qualms about putting the burden of birth control, abortion and child birth on women because his pee pee's "uncomfortable." This is from a man that went to an allegedly fancy school and think of himself as highly intelligent and p…

I've done this when men have shown exceptionally poor behavior during the date, and then I walked them to their car and gave them a condescending "good luck" and a pat on the shoulder or something similar. It felt like a power move but in hindsight it was waste of my money. Now, if he asks me to pay, I just pay my part and block his number. They'll know from my demeanor that I'm disappointed. Any man that wanted a second date knows that it's a no. A few even tried to joke about it saying somethi…

Thankfully, I've never had that experience. Most men are reluctant to train with me. As if my titties would explode upon accidental touch. It has sexism, but in a more "realistic" way. None of that sliding the camera up and down womens' bodies and explicit sex scenes where you only get to see the woman's body. Or, cue rape scene! So over the "mandatory" rape scenes. We get it, male directors, you like rape. Anyway. It's more of a, men select men over women because they believe they are physically superior but that trait has no impact on the outcome of the game. I do want to add one thing. There was also racism. I wouldn't unless it was an expensive city, like New York. I did date a guy that lived in New York, when I was living in Atlanta, and he started to look for a place of his own immediately. It was waste of my time. By applying FDS principles, I end up on dates with higher quality men. They pay for dinner and if I say I'm not interested they say "cool." That's it.

I went on a date last night. I asked him if he would mind walking me to my car and he said "of course" and then he apologized for suggesting the area he had suggested. He also apologize for suggesting the restaurant he had suggested when I told him about my food allergies. He didn't blame me for not telling him. He realized that he'd been inconsiderate and apologized.

I just got so frustrated this weekend. I was introduced to a friend of a friend and she was so enthusiastic about meeting while we were texting. Then we met in person. I didn't say more than "hi" and "it's nice to meet you" and all of a sudden she didn't want to talk to me anymore.

Women that uses you as a "backup" friend until they realize that you're not as into the friendship as they thought you were, and now they want to be friends. It's the equivalent of the guy that got rejected and is now overly interested. Low self-esteem up the a**. Women that don't want to be your friend after they've seen you. Not talked. Only seen. Stop looking at other women as competition and get your low up the a** self-esteem in order!

I have a number of stories where I stood up, walked down the stairs, out the door, got in the car, drove away and never answered any messages or phone calls ever again. I have one story where he started yelling at me when he was at my place. I've been to plenty of strip clubs. It's not the same. At one club, the stripper started laughing because I was looking her in they eyes. She was like "she's looking me IN THE EYES." I use this as a screening technique. If he says things like "... you can talk to me about brewing beer, building computers, Star Wars, BDSM, or anything nerdy...," it's a sign that he only cares about himself. These are (mostly) male interests. Imagine a woman writing "... you can talk to me about makeup, day spas, pegging, ..." If he wants a woman he should tell her what he has to offer. Or, any form of "... you need to understand..." No, I don't.

It's always a pretend-to-know-it-all attitude from the organizer and utter silence from the attendees. It's not until I - the woman - say something that they dare to speak up. Hm. I don't know. I believe Kemper was the only one that scored above average intelligence. Bundy was of average intelligence. I am afraid I am taking away from the poster's point. Just used to be interested in serial killers and understanding the "why." Until I realized it's not the "why" but the "want." Sorry, OP.

When you listen to the interviews of other serial killers they think the exact same thing. It's their value system. Same as any abuser. If I remember it correctly, Kemper was the exception. He was the only one admitting he did it because he wanted to.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/11/20 04:56 PM

I was just about to say the same. If you listen to the interviews he blames everybody but himself. This was just one excuse out of all other.

I'm an engineer and one time my work laptop gave up on me. IT couldn't fix it and called in the manufacturer. I got a call from the front desk that they were there and walked over. The guy took the laptop and asked me to bring him to the "owner." I told him he was looking at her. There was a moment of confusion. Then, shame. Sir, my job at this establishment is not to carry laptops between the engineers and the front desk.

I understand having your crotch stared at by women makes you uncomfortable, but if you walk in there all well hung and good looking, and expect women to not try to size up your dick, you obviously don'y understand how the human brain works. It's like the discussion I had with one guy about having sex with two different people in one day. He could wrap his head around a woman having sex with more than one man, but not in the same day. So I asked him to explain exactly what the hours between the penises had to be and if the vagina has to have a good night's sleep for it to rid of the first penis. It's also like to the discussion about women being with many men. It's not like the vagina has a finite amount of pumps. Like, all vaginas …

My ex-hubby was in STEM too. That's how I learned how incredibly inflated their egos are. He wrote his resume to make him look like Neil Armstrong when he JUST graduated. When a man brings up that he likes sports on a date, I tell him I think it's the equivalent to reality tv. Unless the man is into reality tv, he gets offended. But he can never explain why. Well, it's because you value stereotypical male hobbies as better than stereotypical female hobbies.

I don't know if this behavior is a reflection of the woman or not, since I prefer to believe that men's behavior is a reflection of men. However, I noticed that men ALWAYS came back to me and NEVER came back to my girl friends. At first I took it as flattery. Now, I think it has to do with how I end things. He brought me to a nice and upscale Argentinian restaurant and showed up with flowers. He jumped on the bill when it came out. I can get used to this. Update: We had dinner and drinks last Friday. His texts got sloppy over the weekend so I told him we're done. He sent these lengthy texts about being friends. F*** no. Sir, you got sloppy for a reason and now you're try…

I had a guy in his 70's asking for my number a month ago. Liking kayaking and both being divorced was good enough of a reason for him. I'm in my 30's.

I used to get a lot of guys sending me messages on Meetup. They pretended like they wanted to know about the group. I always responded with a "sincere" message and told them to contact our longest standing member: Bob. "He's the greatest guy. Knows everyone. Can tell you all about our activities." Poor Bob. Never got any messages.

I live to read other women's dating stories so thank you for sharing. I had a bad date myself last week. He did all the things right before the date but when the bill came he looked like he just pooped himself and slowly put his card on the table. Then, he told me he'll pay for this one if I'll pay for the next. Just... tacky. You can do all the things right and it can still go wrong.

It's like you both show up as 8's. He think he has you, not knowing your personal preferences makes him a 6's and that "look" brings him down to a 0's. There is nothing attractive about arrogance.

Dating is an absolute struggle for my black girl friends. I listen for negative comments about black women when I date black men. It's an instant no. Just like I listen for negative comments about women in general. The only difference that I've noticed is that my black girl friends will let a black man know he's trash. Personally, I go silent and walk out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/08/20 04:27 PM

I rarely date white men too. I'm open to it but I prefer other looks. Plus, they are more entitled in general. Have you ever had that experience when they sit down for a first date and got that "I'm going to get this" look on their face? *vagina clinch*

I so agree. I've had men say "you're... cute." I've had men lose their ability to breathe when they first see me. It's subjective. I'm not lowering my standards. Why would I accept that he is? That'd be lowering my standards too.

It's perhaps not so much about the time as it is about having those moments together. The first fight, the first trip together, the first family emergency, and so on. It takes time. I dated a guy last year. We had our first fight after 6 months. He yelled at me. Unacceptable. Bye.

I believe that transparency does not work with men. I got out of a long relationship and was not looking to get back into one. I learned that I had to tell men that I wanted a relationship. It's a game they're used to playing. They're deeply insecure inside and need to have their ego stroked and think that they are in control of the situation.

I spelled out my requirements in man in my profile on the OLD sites. I feels freeing. Now I can hold them accountable. "It said 'generous' and you, siiir, do not come off as generous." Personally, I do not care if the man pays for the date but I have saved myself so much time using FDS practices. It got rid of the lazy ones and time wasters. I immediately had a man sending me a message questioning my requirements. Siiir, if you do not know the difference between "self-loving" and "selfless" then…

I see. I consider age to be equivalent to life experience. I'd be wary of a man that hasn't added any life experience in 20 years. He has been resisting growth. There are men all ages that do not want kids. I'd look for one around my age.

Very insightful. I started dating someone that turned out to be abusive and this is exactly what he did. He'd constantly try to pick a fight. I just disengaged. But it went on for days. Do you swipe yes on all to see who swipes yes back, and then just delete the ones you don't want? I'm happy for the experience. I see it like a "love resume." Every time I change "love" I ask for more money and better benefits.

I never thought of that option. Thank you! I will be going back to the in-person dating scene when the pandemic is under control. I agree with you assessment of OLD being "...cesspit with the occasional normal person that wandered in there by accident before tucking tail and running as soon as they saw what was there..." Hopefully the current situation created a slightly larger pool.

I remember now! They did a lot of changes because women were leaving because of the high influx of creepy men.

Okay, I'm signing up for Premium. I'm "experienced" when it comes to dating but I realized that I've been doing it wrong. Thank you very much!

Do you recommend getting the $20/m for a year or $45 for 1 month? I'm between "treat it like a job" and "you'll get awful messages and give up in 2 days" mental battle.

I have to pay to answer the "Free" messages? That's a... hurdle. My profile is hidden? You mean, until I swipe on them? I like that feature then. Too many delusional men out there. No, Steve 55+ that's been eating McDonalds burrito for breakfast since his wife left him 15 years ago. I may try Hinge then. Thank you, I really appreciate your help!

Thank you for the laugh. He got comfortable. He started treating me as if he could never loose me. So I left. Always be willing to walk.

He's not acting with integrity and it's just a matter of time before he stops acting with integrity towards his "dream girl." Integrity is absolute. Not relative.

I didn't read it as if she canceled on you but I do read it as if she's not prioritizing you. She'll call you the second they break up. She'll go back to her old ways as soon she finds another guy. Your're a "stand-by" friend. Invest your time and energy in friends that prioritize you.

I wonder if they do this because they don't have options. If I don't like a guy, I tell him as much. It would never occur to me to string him along for another 18 months because I'm afraid of a d*** drought.

My ex-husband and I moved to Atlanta together. I got a job. He then decided to apply for a job in a small city outside of Los Angeles that didn't have any job opportunities for me. He got the job and moved. He was surprised that I didn't leave my job and instead divorced him.

Do I blame my mom when I act poorly? No. I am responsible for myself.

I'm in tech myself. I've been in this position many, many times. Experience has taught me that 1) he's insecure or 2) he will not be supportive of your career.

I don't think you are overhinking it. Say something non-specific like "yes, I'm free next week."

I've dated very attractive men that are LVM. They're the most interested in you when you're not interested in them. It's the male equivalent of a pickme. I've dated very attractive men that are HVM. They will kindly and courteously let you know when they are or are not interested in you.

I've been in a similar situation and my only regret is that I didn't divorce sooner. My husband was a kind man but selfish. He will hold you back in your development of you.

I bet $5 that if you ignore him that he'll come back. This time he'll go as far as meeting on the ferry. Trash of a man.

That's fantastic! It took me years to figure out what I liked to do, but I gave myself time and I was kind to myself. I started a Meetup group to find friends. It was for women only and I only planned activities that I wanted to do. So, if no one showed up, I still had a great time. It was a lot of work but it was time well spent and I met my closest girl friends that way. I am a very intovert person myself. :)

Do you know what your standards are? I'm realizing that I know what my standards are but I am not putting them out there right away. I'm new here and I'm learning that I have a lot of learning to do.

Everyone has time. Sometimes when they give me the "I'm so busy" I just say "I understand. Bye." Somehow that makes them find time.

I usually disengage too. It's waste of my time, right? I have no intentions of making a low effort man into a high effort man. That's on him to do. Now, I am enjoying the squirms. :)

I have gained confidence by being accomplished in my career and caring for myself. I started by getting a degree in my desired field and then aim for a promotion every 2 year at work. I am in a male-dominated field, so sometimes you have to "promote" yourself by changing teams, companies or cities. I always level up: a more senior title, more money, work from home, etc. I also have things that I do for me, myself and I. Power yoga. Biking. Kayaking. Cooking. Reading. Road trips. This weekend I a…

Thank you. :) He instantly backtracked. "I really want to meet you. I get where you're coming from. Let's shoot for early next week then." Presumptuous much? He's already shown me that he is low effort. A low effort man need not be in my life.
