Just a note of support..Hope your health improves and 2022 turns around for you man. Next year can be a first step on the way back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/12/21 07:57 PM
Final documents get signed next weekI wasn't at peace until I got an offer on the house we used to own. If I were there with no options my level of anger would be what it was and more. Selling the house is a huge step towards healing for me. I've also been hearing that mutual friends that we both still talk to are seeing she can lie about anything and everything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/10/20 04:58 PM
Looking back at red flagsI should have walked away about 8 years ago too. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/07/20 12:44 AM
Looking back at red flagsShe constantly said "I'm making you better" to me. If I gave her any shit about it at all it turned ugly. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/07/20 11:15 PM

Another holiday alone, close to seeing the the bottom of the bottle againI had trouble this weekend. I decided to go for a drive and ended up lightly flirting with a cute blonde in a sun dress. I'm just over a month in. At the start I let the lows hit me...because the highs are all the more better. Did you ever see the South Park episode where Butters thinks he's dating the raisins girl? After they "break up" he's crying in the street. He says something pretty profound... To paraphrase: yeah he's sad and it sucks. However you had to be happy about something to get sa… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/07/20 10:28 PM
A friend knew and didn't tell meI'm 99% certain specific friends drove the whole thing. Her only complaint against me was not giving her the support she needed go get through infertility. ...even though I constantly was telling her I was happy to be with her no matter what, poured everything into taking stress off her from the new job etc. I'm sure I could have done some things differently and will think that till I put this completely behind me. I don't think she cheated but at this point I don't really care. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/20 09:49 PM
A friend knew and didn't tell meI'm never going to say I'm blameless in the current situation but... This absolutely happened to me. The extent of her campaign surprised me for the first few weeks (I'm only a month in) but now I just want to excise all aspects of her life from mine. I was told I could probably get assistance from her (we both make good money but she makes more) and I decided against it. It's just not worth it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/20 08:35 PM
A friend knew and didn't tell meYeah. Really good point. Part of this is that it's come up in communication with the ex that she was planning it. She denies it of course. Also...dudes wife is trying to stay friends with my ex. That's tough to balance with everything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/20 03:14 PM
A friend knew and didn't tell meNo kids. Her inability ripped us to shreds. The dude's wife I refer to in my op has told me there was nothing I could do to save the marriage...that it seems like the ex wanted a baby for her own reasons more than she wanted the marriage. I agree with that looking back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/20 02:06 PM
A friend knew and didn't tell meI don't have to...I'm thinking it may be the best way to fully break from this. Pittsburgh is a big small city if that makes sense. I've lived here for 30 years at this point and am just wondering if I've gotten everything out of it I can. I'm lucky enough to have a fully remote job so that's not a concern. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/20 01:45 PM
Anyone newly divorced into lockdown?I'm a month in and am trying to navigate the same thing. Been up and down, gone back to the gym and a shooting range. I've been lucky enough that my older friends get why I disappeared. I've managed the ups and downs... By letting the down times happen. You're human. In my opinion there is no harm in just letting it hit you. That makes the normal times - which will come - all the better. Other than that I've been doing what you hear a lot: the gym, shooting range and connecting with old friends. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/20 01:13 PM
PCOSHoly hell man. I'm sorry to hear about all that. I'll bet my soon to be ex becomes a full blown alcoholic. She also allowed a refinance of our house to close then dropped divorce on me three days later. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/06/20 03:01 AM
Women have their social groups, men don’t.A little late to this but I had divorce dropped on me this weekend. One of your paragraphs really hit home for me: I kept telling her I was ok with building the best home for us that I could and that was my main priority. She slowly started to pull away at that point. Said I wasn't supportive enough. Sorry of I hijacked this thread. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/20 04:31 AM
