u/little_ag_peach is right about speaking to him in person, and I'd like to add that when you sent the message he likely had already been drinking and so was probably not in the best state of mind. There is nothing wrong with asking the people you live with to be respectful of your needs, just choosing your timing can make all the difference.

No problem, I like to have freezer meals ready for situations like this so I can just dump them in the slow cooker.

Honestly you're better off taking a few days to relax and let your body fight the illness than trying to get up and scrub the toilet and vaccume the drapes. Not to mention you'll likely get half way through and want to take a nap anyway. Get the kids to school and dinner in the slow cooker then curl up for some self care, otherwise you'll just prolong the pain, when you're sick just do enough to get you through.

I can't tell you why these women see things this way but I understand the frustration of having to losten to them. I'm in my early 20's (but often get mistaken for 17 or 18) and have had so many women try to teach me to "stand up to" my man, or just tell me I need to keep an escape route, and money that he doesn't know about etc. It's honestly painful to hear women turn around things like my man carrying groceries for me into "he doesn't trust you" or "he thinks you're weak and incompetent"

I recently watched a video from a motervational speaker for one of my classes that touched on this. It noted that for women it was more effective to negotiate for your family rather than for yourself. For me this made a lot of sense, if you're coming from a place of caring for your loved ones gives you the motervation to negotiate for the things you want while also creating a frame of femininity. If you are interested I can find the video once I'm back at my computer.

If you want RPW advice how about start with these We don't advocate branch swinging I doubt anyone here would advise "changing" your husband/ boyfriend. We don't try to control our caption, we support him in his choices and goals. We don't talk badly about our husband. Really if you don't love him and you are not attracted to him why are you wasting both your time and his. In order to have a good captain, or even just be happy you need to better yourself. It's not about what's on the outside, wh…

Either I accept him for who he is and date seriously for marriage Ask yourself seriously if you could be with this man as he is for the rest of your life. If you honestly can even if this means you have to be the breadwinner or the leader then by all means date him. or we can be friends with benefits, but not purely platonic friends. I think you know all the reasons this is a bad idea. Is dating outside of your community an option? I understand that this may not be ideal and will come with its o…

In my opinion cause of action is just to say that you need time to move on. If he respects this and doesn't try to contact you there is no need to block his number etc because there is no contact to black (obviously don't contact him, if you find it difficult delete him off social media and delete his number so he isn't poping up while you try to get over him). If this man trys to contact you, he is not respecting your space and you should block him. I agree with the ladies who have said zero co…

My parents are emotionally dependent and at times volatile; I have to get along with them well enough, though have a constant worry I could be kicked out. My father has rage issues, but he hasn't been violent with me in over a year. The control issues have really slackened off, with understanding how to deal with my parents' problems things have been pretty bearable. I may finish college with their support or leave and cut ties early.* I'm going to recycle some advice I was once given sometimes …

I adore this idea, hopefully we can carry this on! My reflection; I've been putting a lot of pressure on myself over the last few weeks and things have now started to slip. I'm starting to fall behind in my studies, work has become tedious and slow, and I've fallen with my workouts. I did not realise how much of an issue this has been until I got home from work today and learnt that my SO stayed up today to do the gardening. This seems like a small thing but as background, he has a high pressure…

I use a brand called System Professional and alternate between the repairing and moisturising treatment (apparently it's good to change it up every now and then so I swap between the two every time I buy a new bottle), although I'm not sure if the brand is available outside of Australia. If you can afford it I suggest ask your hairdresser what brand they use in the salon, usually these are good but can be expensive. You should leave it in for at least 5 minutes, but if you do a facial, or have a…

For curly hair you should also make sure it's always cut in a style that sutes. You'll still have to deal with the frizz but making sure it's healthy and cut frequently will help a lot. I use a treatment on my hair every week or so (every other day if I'm dying it or want to straighten it), and use coconut oil every day. This helps deal with the dryness that usually comes with curly hair.

Wow thank you for all the ideas! I think some sort of pasta dish would be quite safe, and it would allow me to make up some garlic bread (I bake my own bread for it and fancy it up with some herbs, so simple but looks amazing). I love the idea of the basket aswell, I think I'll be stealing that one.

I think the large portions are the way to go, both my man and his dad eat a lot. I plan to do as much of the prep as I can before they arrive so I can spend less time in the kitchen. A stew would be a great idea to also cut down the time in the kitchen thank you! I'd love to know how you make Cioppino, I'm not great with cooking seafood so I think this would be something I have to test out first.

Buy some cropped cardigans or wear waist belts over longer cardigans (I wear thick waist belts with most things it helps a lot if your waist is very small as it draws attention to your curves and makes cloths fit better). Look into getting lightweight jackets that taper in at the waist. You can also try high waisted skirts, in summer wear with a light blouse, in winter a cropped cardigan (or tuck in something longer) and leggings or stockings if nessasary.

Have you even read my comments? My first comment was pointing out that becoming healthy would boost your sex drive and improve the sex life in the relationship. The reason I said "in that case why are you together" is because in order to have married you in the first place he had to have wanted to have sex with you. Oh by the way this is RPW, WE ALL TAKE VOWS SERIOUSLY OR WE WOULDN'T BE HERE! I haven't insisted he isn't attracted to you, I've insisted you have something to work with. So go and w…

I noticed you use the term "a bit overweight" if you are in fact only just over the threshold and have the body to carry a bit of extra weight your mans attraction isn't likely to drop too much. Ofcause you could just be kidding yourself and have actually become a blob but I'm going to assume that is not the case here. You also admitted you are not very attracted to your husband, if he is also very out of shape then you both need to fix you're lifestyle (when I say out of shape I'm not just refe…

I think it is mainly the way that I read. I just wanted to point out that it is important for any woman to know her husband and be able to make decisions baised on his preferences. At some point you will need to make decisions or even take over and keep everything running without your mans input (say for the women who have husbands in the military or if your husband has something else taking up most of his attention). When he is back you should be able to hand over to your husband without him ne…

This so good because you're actually communicating what you genuinely think instead of just saying "I don't know" or "I don't care", then if he really doesn't want to make the decision he knows you're willing to.

I'm not sure if it's the way you've worded it, but I feel like you're on the edge of being that anoying girl who always needs help. You can be feminine and make decisions, part of being the first mate is being able to stear the ship when the captain is away or out of action. But at the end of the day, the man is still the captain. So how can we fix this conundrum? I feel like I cannot maintain my femininity because people inherently don’t want to make choices and therefore I have to make them. T…

It is hard because it's just normal to be on your phone now. Just cutting back and using your down time to be alone with your own thoughts can be great. Another comment suggested quitting social media for awhile at the very least! This is the problem with our generation (I'm only a few years older than you and I completely understand). But really should get a hobby, work on putting your phone way for a day or 2 at a time (or even a few hours at first). When you're feeling really disconnected send him one, yes only one text saying "I miss you" or "I can't wait until our next date". Then put the phone down and go for a run, do some baking, read a book work or work something that will make your life full. Having a life outsi…

Getting fit and healthy will make your man want to fuck you more (unless he is just not attracted to you at all, in that case why are you together?), but most importantly it will put YOU in a better mindset and you will want sex more.

My mother is a bit like this, she's single (blames my father as he ex for everything wrong in her life), an alcoholic, a narcissist and extremely mentally unstable (you can tell from talking to her for more than 5 minutes). She hates that I have so much respect and admiration for my SO's mother and trys to convince everyone she is the better woman (she also had a 3 hour conversation with my man's sister attempting to do so), she has even has made sexual jokes and attempted to flirt with my SO. Interesting questions and I look forward to reading through the responses. For perspective I'm 21 and my SO is 23, we've been together just short of a year and have known eachother since I started high school (which is 12 where I'm from). I do want to be married to my SO, but to me this isn't a deal breaker. I previously could not see myself getting married because I am not religious and only see the legal connotations. Tell your man when you're upset, then let it go. It's okay to let your man know when something is bothering you. Go home tonight be open about your feelings and let him cuddle you. Just be realistic, and don't be crying about this one missed opertunity for months. There will be other opertunities in the future, that if you're too busy sulking about this one you'll miss out on.

I don't always like having my man take care of things, but I've had many people let me down and I'm still learning. I do recognise that he can just deal with some things better than me and it is a relief to know that he is taking the burden off me. I think when people hear the term submissive woman they assume that you're getting beaten or your husband is off fucking other women and leaving you to deal with everything. These people have obviously never met a good captain.

I like the idea of humor, and I think that may be a good way to keep myself calm. I usually try to mention my SO as much a possible when I think a guy may be interested. but I get the feeling my emotions are showing through at times, I just don't want these feelings to make me seem disrespectful.

I didn't try to vomit, I just said that I felt unwell went to the bathroom as if it was completely unrelated. It wasn't the mans fault I had that reaction and I doubt he even knew I was taken. I honestly don't understand why I feel this way but I do try to be as respectful as possible.

I agree totally, my SO is completely capable of taking care of himself without me, and if I don't have time to do something he will happily do it himself. But I still make most of his meals, do 99% of the housework and get everything ready for him before he goes to work because I love him and want to do things that make his life easier.

Does the fitbit also track your sleep? I've been looking at getting them for my SO and myself, so we can compete and keep eachother motervated. But my man's sleeping patten gets thrown out often because of his work so I would like something that can show him how much sleep he is getting.

I don't think there is a red pill answer to this question. To me marriage has no religious meaning, it is simply a legal and sentimental way of giving myself, everything I am, was and will be to a man who I trust wholeheartedly. Given this, I don't personally believe in divorce, and would do everything I can to make it work. I would guess that many women on this sub would also take the rout of trying to save their marriage. That said you cannot base your own beliefs on those of others. Really it…

I know someone suggested sewing your own, but even adding some length to a hem is quite easy and a good way to make cloths a bit more conservative. I can't even buy cloths now without thinking about how I want to alter them (although I'm a UK size 4 and most stores where I live only go dawn to an 8 so it's either alter them or buy kids cloths)

I suppose it would be watching an anime together. We always have one we are watching together (specifically an anime series because he has always liked anime and I hadn't really watched any before we started dating), and neither of us is allowed to go ahead of the other. I cook to show my man I love him. If he has to tell me what to make all the time that tells him that I don't understand him and that's a pretty poor form of love. If he is really in the mood for something specific he'll let me know without having to ask.

The best advice I ever got in regards to taking care of a home was do little things all the time. Wipe down your kitchen bench while waiting for your kettle to boil, pick up some objects that have roamed from where they should be on your way through a room. Little things like this make a huge difference when you go to clean your house. This can go for your commute too, if you're taking a train to university you could use that time to plan meals or do some research for your studies. When I first …

There are a few things in here that aren't 100% red pill. Although my biggest concerns in this aren't really red pill. No saving because saving is the belief that you are not good enough to keep someone unless you earn it by saving them. This is called Co-Dependency It is a disease that destroys lives. Saving someone doesn't mean you're codependent! I've saved a few lives, probably the most memorable was a friend of my ex boyfriend. He was big into drugs and I could see it destroying him. Offere…

If you respect yourself, they will treat you with respect as well. It's that easy. To me this is one of the core reasons for many RPW expectations. Women who don't take care of their appearance, who think anyone should have access to their body, who don't keep themself healthy obviously don't think that they are worthy of their own respect. If you don't take care of and respect yourself why would you expect any man to. Also great for you to have pulled yourself out of that life!

You are not completely doomed unless you let these behaviors continue or let them haunt you. You do however need to accept that this will limit you from attracting men that you may have if you had a low partner count, if you act carefully you wont nessasarily be a plate. This will cause challenges but be thankful you worked this out now rather than in 10 years. For now work on being possible wife material and keep your legs closed until you have a clear commitment. She came here before asking her boyfriends opinion, this shows either disrespect to his opinion or shows that she is not thinking clearly enough to come up with a very obvious answer ("hey I'll see what he actually thinks!"). I'm not sure if you're trolling or just immature, but I'll assume the best and try to put some logic out there. First you don't even have a decision right now. You've said that you haven't even spoken to him, so really you're just guessing what he will think. One of the most important things to RPW is letting your caption lead, by not giving him the chance to have an opinion before posting on here is taking that leadership away from him. Also it's a year from now, and you have been with this guy…

Of cause ask for his opinion, but you're painting it like it is a choice between going on a trip and losing your man. Being apart for two weeks, when at the time you'll have been together for a year? Come on. if you want to create trust and a deeper bond, find ways that you can actually support him and add to his life. It seems like this will have more of an effect on your future career path than your relationship, so don't pretend it's something you're doing for him, especially when you haven't…

My SO and I have similar taste. So 9 times out of 10 he will like how I decorate. He just doesn't have the time or energy to do much of it, so when we moved in together he gave me free range to set everything up how I pleased seeing as I would be taking care of the housework anyway. Like you I felt that I should hide my emotions when I was younger. I admired my dad and wanted to be like him, later I realised that I couldn't hide my true nature (and it made me so much happier). Good to hear from other women in a similar situation! It sounds like we take on much the same roles (I'll also sort out everything, and if there is something I need him to do I will have it all prepared so he doesn't have to deal with the run around). I guess it's all in my mindset, I need to accept the role he has chosen to take on and stop fighting it.

Have you asked him why he doesn't like you rowing? If he like you say just thinks you're off with other guys then that's an issue that can be resolved without you giving up your hobby entirely. Until you talk to him about it you don't know if there are issues that can be worked out or if it really is something you should give up. About this race, you are better off if you can get away with not burning bridges especially if these people are good connections to have. Maybe say something along the …

From what I've heard men prefer natural breasts. I think it's also important to keep in mind that some men do like smaller breasts, I was a C and dropped to a B since working out and losing some flab. Talked about getting implants with my SO seeing as I've always wanted to be a little bigger, my SO outright forbid it and said he liked them as they suited my small frame. If you have an SO it's important that you discuss it with him for this exact reason. Assuming that you're single, if you do if …

I suppose I've always been a little bit red pill. Growing up my dad was always very agressive, although he was physically violent I had a lot of respect for him because to me he was the strongest person in the world (he had a few RP traits but now I realise he was someone who wanted so badly to be traditional but lacked self control). That changed around the time I was 14 when I watched him attempt suicide. At that point it was like everything I knew fell apart, the one thing I saw as strength w…

She doesn't understand men (or get how to interact with them) Low confidence Her social skills need work It sounds like she needs to work on herself. Go to the gym, learn to cook, find interests that she can talk to men about and became more confident. Working on herself will make her more valuable to men who want a LTR. The ladies here give me a lot of motervation to keep bettering myself even when I'm having a bad day. You also said a lot about why she has been put in a bad position to find a …

Have you tried meals that can be surved cold? Also I've been told that freezing a few different meals could be a good way to go so he can pick from what he wants. I'm not sure how well most meals would hold up in a freezer though.

Until recently (the past few months) I had only ever attempted simple recipes like basic pasta dishes, eggs, steak and packet mix sort of meals. Since I wanted to move on form "cook to survive" mode I've been attempting to perfect cooking beef and chicken in a few different ways. I figure this is a good place to start as a basis because these are relatively cheap meats that can be used in a variety of meals. That said a good first thread could be baised around tips and tricks for different meats…

I had posted this here as the community is better for constructive advice than many other subs. While it's not strictly RPW I figured that I'd get objective opinions on ways I could deal with this better than I already have been, instead of comments such as "oh that's so sad he should just stop" "this is why we need feminism" as I've gotten in other places.

I've kept odd notes about what he has said. Nothing comprehensive but still more than enough to get that it's out of line. I'm just having problems finding someone who would take my concerns seriously, plus I've heard of problems coming up but being brushed off.

I have told him since the first mildly suggestive comment that I do not appreciate it, and even to the point that I have stopped trying to be nice about it and simply say "do not say this to me" and leave before he can take anything further.

Men and women have different strengths. My SO is would have more worth than I do in things like fixing the bathroom door or moving furniture, but in budgeting so that we can afford our new couch or making sure it will match the dacor I would have more worth. So yes in some things women are less than men. That doesn't mean if you have a vagina you mean nothing, the main reason women are the submissive one in the relationship is because men tend to be better leaders than women, so if you find man …

I am working on seeing people with poor attitudes and behavior and a reminder of what not to be. I don't like to throw around negativity and try to see something good in everyone so I have reflected a lot on why people like this make me feel agitated. Mostly because I feel people should strive to be better and I do not see what is stopping them from doing this. I love how you look at them as a sort of teacher and I think reminding myself of this would help a lot.

If a friend shares a story that's meant to insult or put down their SO - I sometimes try to remind them of a different story they've shared in the past (a positive one, where they were really happy with their SO). I love this. I hate when people talk poorly about their SO because a) if you don't like them why are you with them? And b) you can't agree because they will likely be over it soon and remember that you agreed that their SO is a lazy pig and you can't outright disagree because they will…

I mainly find myself disgusted by girls who dress slutty or sleep around. Although showing skin or sleeping with multiple guys has always seemed weird to me. There is an older woman who works in my office, single, no kids - and you can see why. She doesn't take care of herself, is overweight and always wears "comfortable" cloths and no makeup using the excuse "what I do matters not how I look". The sad thing is she barely out ranks me (I'm only 21 and this is my first job in this industry). This…

A man who lets another man hit on his woman is not a man who has any power at all. Women want to be with a man who has power, it means that he has the ability to protect her from threats, the man who does nothing in the face of a threat is just showing he is weak and if she is smart and has a high enough smv she will move on.

How long have you been together? If you've been with him for a while and he still hasn't gotten you to meet his family or at least told you about them then he doesn't see himself being with you for long, your relationship is going nowhere

If you mention that you are in a happy committed relationship I don't think you need to keep assuming that guys are only trying to get into your pants, unless of cause he keeps making moves on you. If you have common interests male - female friendships are possible. No you don't need to assume all guys want to sleep with you, despite what most girls believe you're not attractive to everyone.

Just be there and don't judge him on the things he does tell you about. Think about why you feel you need to know details about his past, are there specific things you're looking for? If so are you just looking to find his flaws or justify your own insecurities? If you want to know things that are relevant to your relationship now just ask instead of trying to be sneeky about it. My SO is very private and won't talk about a lot of things. I'm learning to be more patient and let him have his thin…

It's not actually dirty to have body hair, but I see why it seems dirty especially to men. I couldn't push my preferences onto other women but something you definitely have to consider is how people see you. It's like a woman who wears slutty clothing and shows a lot of skin. While she may not sleep around it will seem like that to others. A woman who doesn't shave or wax may not be unhygienic but a man doesn't know that until he gets close to her, so instead of risking it they will use her body…

I am not a weak woman, I am smart, strong minded and resilient. And honestly if I wasn't with a man who is just as strong if not stronger than myself I would probably walk all over him. I want to make decisions, but I want a partner not a child that I have to look after. I want a man who can look after me, that doesn't mean I'm not going to look after him in my own ways. A relationship is a team, and a good captain doesn't disregard his teammate.

You don't need a dress code when you have morals. My SO has dated a few dumb girls who think getting sexual attention equals love or worth as a woman. He has said multiple times that he loves that I have self respect, I'm always going to dress nice because people do judge you but the only person who will see me in skimpy outfits or showing a lot of skin will be my SO.

My first relationship I hated everything about it. Time went the relationship reached it's enevitable end, fast forward a few years with my partner I love it. I can see how much I'm pleasing him and it's great to be able to do it for him after all he does to take care of me. It's important to know that you're with the right person to be able to please him sexually. If you aren't committed to one another or you have your doubts about him, sex wont be what it should. And if you are sure of who you…

I think the issue is understanding that a woman should not accept a suitable offer but the right offer. I feel that some men don't see that a woman should not just jump into bed with any suitable man who can offer her a commitment but wait for a man who ticks all the boxes. I just feel that this is not taken into account by men, or it may just be something we cannot fully understand about one another.

My metaphor for the buffet was more a man can, and in most cases will sitt at the buffet until he orders the pasta. The main thing that bothers me though is that many men (at least in my experience) don't see that women should be so picky, but as a woman I think it's just as important if not more so for a woman to be picky due to our biology. A man is biologically capable of having many sexual partners, while a woman can't due to things like the amount a woman must invest in offspring, the way S…

Originally I said that I wasn't ready for a relationship because I wasn't over the past. Later I told him I didn't want to fuck around and he backed off for a few days, then came back and we became closer (this was before I knew he was sleeping with other women) so I assumed that us getting closer ment he wanted the same thing. Edit: at the time of that post I was being very irrational and over emotional.

I was actually having a break from men because of my past relationship, my ex and I actually talked about the things that went wrong in the relationship and I am now passed it. The current relationship started when I was still trying to break from everything, which is why I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, in hindsight I should have taken more time.
