Reddit is a far left, man hating echo chamber with an inability to handle disagreement with the rare spots of nerdy brilliance.

What blows my mind is how these individuals hold jobs with so much publicly available hate speech. A man with even half of this would get cancelled. Btw tumbler, medium has terrible content

I don't know, same here - resident of a liberal left state - I hope someone politically savvier can chime in. I have typically voted red but I don't specifically see anything on the Trump Vance policy points that show any direct material change for men's rights.

It's an interesting over correction for sure - there's parts of India where female fetuses are aborted, in smaller towns gender roles can be very old fashioned, dowry still happens, statistically SA isn't worse than many other countries but libs like to say it's underreported, and a few horrific cases have gotten a lot of attention. The judicial system over corrected with protections built to be extremely gynocentric. There has been a woman with the highest office and interestingly the recent ho…

When do you draw the line between a wise mentor who can give you advise about mental health vs a therapist who pushes you to delve deep and work out your kinks? I assume a good therapist who works with men and perhaps an older mature mentor might have some overlaps. The big difference is $

People have lost the ability to have a nuanced conversation - Andrew Tate might have had questionable behavior in some areas but he also talks a lot of sense. The stuff that's objectively good can be taken without the stuff that's questionable. The left goes crazy about cardiB & Iizzo - one is a self confessed abuser of men who took pride in saying she robbed men the other has nasty public behavior and yet they're hailed as gods. You might say Bill Clinton was a better politician than a husband.…

At my firm white males and Indian males are considered over represented and are actively given the short end of the stick despite quantitative criteria for merit like sales, revenue, win-rates, billings, hours showing they perform better.

Yep they were agile coaches, product owners, front end developers and UX. The dudes were data scientists, full stack developers, Gen/AI/ML experts. I have to say the female skewed teams told better stories and were engaging - the dudes were rambling on - if it wasn't for some phenomenal work they did in 3 days that was evident in the demo and purely on story telling they wouldn't win. It got me thinking - it's likely far more easier to teach a techie how be a more engaging speaker than someone b…

As I was reading your post, James Damore immediately came to mind, and then you go onto mentioning him. In his memo to Alphabet HR he had heavily cited references but unfortunately like with most clickbaitey headlines the woke machinery obliterated his career picking up strawmen arguments. For eg he talked about neuroticism which is a technical term but it was somehow twisted into the narrative that he suggested women are neurotic. I search his name from time to time to see what happened to him …

These "kids" were entry-mid level employees of a well known F500 company aged 23-30. You would hope they would've had enough time "adulting" and they would know to follow the fair rules every other competitor followed. But no they got applauses for "pushing people's thinking".

I would say over the last four years at this place the M:F split has been historically 20:80, and then post pandemic it's gone to - 40:60, 50:50, 60:40 (there were fewer males this year - they've over corrected with hiring) Despite that the winning teams have been male.

What was interesting was a team that had all women bent the rules and made it about "ideas" and how to bring the "voice of the customer" and needing to have ethics & empathy in tech. Their point was if we start with a flawed understanding of tech & needs we build wrong things it's important to talk about values. The premise wasn't wrong - it just wasn't a "working prototype" or "app" but a fairly OK presentation. Instead of getting booted out for not following the "rules of the competition" they…

Yes and no about India being worst. Let me offer some nuance. Indian laws tend to be gynocentric and there's a lack of a uniform civil code that's consistent across religions. I digress - the point is in smaller towns or in conservatively raised families plenty of women who believe in the institution of marriage, divorce avoidance, prioritizing marital happiness. Again the phrase is families that are socially conservative. Ironically if you're an expat they might not want to date you - the ones …

You don't do it explicitly - leave the door open, that's not actionable, the 20 something wants a lunch time mentoring meeting - well you have a dentist appointment or set teams to "focussing" for a deliverable, that's not actionable. If you must do 1-1 calls do it wfh on teams and run transcription or recording. Run group sessions, be very civil, very amiable and do not talk about anything controversial. Be boring af - you'll hopefully be left alone.

You can't change how others think but you can change what gives you anger, humiliation, peace or contentment. Work on yourself, make yourself better, then help your brother, devote your life to service. Most of what you see is designed to push an agenda, their own projections and a way to contend with their insecurities look at it and try not to take it personally. I find stoicism philosophies help me. You got this brother!

The average western man is simping for a woman who won't give him the time of the day or playing the seeming long game by whiteknighting them only to be friend zoned. we're in an echo chamber - any minor uptick here feels like the world is changing to have some acknowledgement of the need for well being for men but reality is far from it.

It's a very fine line to walk. I am raising a son and a daughter - i have to be very mindful what I'm telling them. Teaching them life skills, a strong work ethic, independence and respect. Your safest option is "refuse to identity" even then - if you're name sounds male you'll likely be skipped - or after the first video interview they'll pass. The living combat vet suffers every day. The dead combat vet has stopped suffering. A loving wife or child who is growing up without their father are also suffering. It's different kinds of suffering - that's the point Hillary is making. She's talking about the cost of war on the survivors.

See id use a different word instead of "suffering" to describe the pain and extreme distress felt by the men who are war casualties. They still are doing a job they've received training for and are at sone level aware of the risk of death with the career they have. The women, children who are non combatants will continue on with their suffering. If you remove the word women and just said the surging non combatants who have lost their loved ones and financial and physical security are likely cont…

That's a different question. We are discussing whos suffering is more : the dead or the next of kin?
/r/MensRights16/06/22 05:37 PM
-9

Well that statement is technically correct. Once someone is dead they don't need help or use public utilities but the survivors do. So if the men died and the women are alive technically they need help with their "suffering". like if I die my wife and daughters need a provider and they suffer. I don't continue to suffer I just die. No? :)
