with time and observation. the best thing though is to not let your anxiety build and trust that you will be ok regardless of what anyone could do to you. you have your own back and that's all you need. if you don't think that sentence is true then keep working on yourself

Yes! I'm glad we elaborated for any FDS gamer girls lol. But like you said, if you aren't able to take care of responsibilities because of a hobby, well, you need to reevaluate. Good life partners are able to lead balanced lives and understand they will need to make time for you to keep you happy. I can't wait until I can just chill or maintain as you say. The ambition bug bit me and I have 3 businesses I want to start so let's hope I get there soon ahahaha
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/04/22 01:56 PM

Yes! I don't know how these pickme's do it. It's insanely disrespectful that your partner flat out ignores responsibilities over literal made up bullshit. there is a sub for mothers that is littered with stories of them slaving away for a man who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire and would be fucking someone else next to the ashes. that is NOT love and I'm so grateful the low self esteem of my past didn't lead me to wasting time with an LVM leech.

However, I don't for one second believe that any adult can invest the necessary time into improving and progressing whilst gaming for multiple hours each day. this is how I see it and what I tried to explain is what is true in my experience! when you are ambitious and working towards serious things you don't have times for video games every day. I'm kind of stuck right now because I am not generally a judgmental person, I love and value differences between people. I fear there may be a gamer g…

I’m a girl who games (honestly it’s my least dedicated hobby, once I get busy I drop it because priorities) but I don’t even want a man who does it more than casually. I really think the dudes who can sit down hours a day every day are kidding themselves if they think they don’t have a problem. I don’t need to see relationships be broken down by video games 500 more times in front of my face. Not interested in men who take gaming seriously, and I removed any info about gaming from my OLD profile…

I've said it so many times but it speaks volumes that they think we qualify as incels when the sub is literally composed of personal dating and sex stories. anyone equating this place to redpill is obviously not arguing in good faith

I have never felt more introspective in my life but I see it as a rebirth. My first life was from 0-30 and now I finally got the help I needed. I'm ready for life number 2! Just remember, you did the best you could at the time with what you knew!

I promise you my advice is the way. I’m 30 and just figuring it out now but I learned the hard way. You do not have to and I can already see that you are smart enough to start this new chapter. The chapter that stars the new version of you that would never settle for crumbs. Good luck!

Aw girl I am so sorry for you. I can tell you that I think he genuinely does really like you, but this is how we end up with men who marry a woman because she was there at the right time and not for being the woman he loves. If things really are ending with him and you know in your gut it’s not the right relationship for you, my advice is to just FEEL everything. Set a timer for 15 minutes and just sit there and write every negative thing about him that you will no longer have to deal with. Do i…

You are so right! Men absolutely do not see sex the same way as us. I realized when I was younger that their standards are lower than ours, and they’ll happily sleep with someone they wouldn’t even consider for dating. That’s why they don’t even argue when you call men dogs

I dated a millionaire once who asked me to peg him. When I told him I had no interest he clammed up and claimed he was just joking - ok bud…. He 100% had some kind of degradation kink but I 100% had no interest in exploring it LOL

I loved to read this and am so happy for you about how far you’ve come. My healing just started around Christmas last year and it’s been absolutely eye opening. And I’m currently involved with someone… tbh he’s an amazing man but I can’t be with him right now. If we are meant to be we will end up back together anyway. But 100% agree on men seeing your help as emasculating. Men and women are different, just accept that as fact.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/04/22 01:47 AM

tbh if a man is not naturally trying to provide for you he just ain’t the one. A man in love goes to great lengths for his partner. I’ve had fuck buddies pre FDS who would still pick up the bill… even the worst LVM I dated knew better than to try that. They know better.

Honestly, I'm afraid of what the next 5-10 years will look like for my generation as far as male entitlement and violence I’ve been so vocal about this lately too. It just keeps getting worse and society continues to ram its fingers into their ears!

Ty! Had to go to therapy to really have a deep understanding of this lesson but it’s 100% true. You will NOT find the happiness you lack in another person. People aren’t perfect, they will let you down. Even the HVM we are all trying to meet will. Attaching your self worth to the actions of other people is a recipe for disaster!

This is genuinely really sad. I hate that so many young women feel like they are THAT unloveable. For anyone reading, if you feel like you have to stoop this low for a sliver of attention, I promise you the best way to feel better is to become in tune with who you are deep down by exploring and finding your passions. This is not love, it is shallow and absolutely detrimental to your mental health. You don’t have to learn the hard way. Fall in love with yourself and you will never end up in a sit…

Thanks for the response! honestly I love organizing events. I stopped last summer because I noticed if I wasn’t the one planning something, then I wouldn’t have any plans. I’d love to take it up again for some better company. I think taking charge is the best way to go about it! If you have more advice my ears are open!

How do you go about finding these groups? I have a bunch of other interests but tend to be a harsh critic on myself, I usually stay quiet about new skills/ interests until I’m decent or somewhat knowledgeable but I’ll step out of my comfort zone! I probably could benefit just checking something out and seeing who shows up. I could always leave if I hate it And yes I’m fully intending to move forward only making time for people who are genuine and not constantly treating me as if I’m out of line …

In other words, find a man who fights fair. You WILL disagree with your partner at some point (agreeing on EVERYTHING is not usually a good sign as usually one person in the relationship is pretending), but if he is not the type to come to the discussion being open, genuine and honest you run tf away!

Agreed. Just sad and shameful all around. And this is coming from someone who used to lash out at others (verbally to be clear) because of my hurt. It's not ok, we need to stop all the nonsense and start taking accountability for our actions.

Low value behaviour for sure. He is lucky Chris was kind and understanding enough to not press charges but now he has to live with that stain on his career. He did seem genuinely remorseful (seemingly for himself) and probably won't do it again but now his winning night is overshadowed by his immaturity. He hurt himself. edit: lmao to be clear i am NOT supporting chris but will IS lucky he didn't press charges!

I used to work at my vital events office and dealt with newborn birth certificate applications. Was not unusual at ALL to see moms in their late 30s. Saw a decent amount of early 40s, oldest mom to a newborn i ever saw was 50! I’m pretty sure the fertility ends at 35 thing is super outdated

but they get addicted to the intellectual cat-and-mouse thing and they get strung along and it turns into a one-sided obsession This is actually true for a lot of people. Yes I think physical attraction is important but in my experience I can definitely grow attraction to a man over time after getting to know him. I read a book recently that definitely isn’t FDS approved but made a valid point about people seeking the wrong things when looking for a long term partner. A pretty face and a high salary doesn’t mean that man will be a good father or with you at the cancer clinic. Don’t get caught up on superficial things

I’ve started journaling for my mental health but realize it’s been great to keep track of how things are going with the men Im dating. Write about how you’re feeling and things that have happened so that when you read it over again, you’ll get dragged back to reality. Can’t recommend it enough! (Especially if you struggle with anxiety! Don’t underestimate it!)

I think it’s important to have them as casual conversations because if it seemed like a make or break conversation, he would have tailored his thoughts to make me stay. YUP! DO NOT try to sway them or get them to say what you want to hear. If it's not genuine it means NOTHING. You need to search for the truth above all else, f false hopes and promises. Yes I don't go by dates but after 2/3 months (depending on how often I see him, usually max twice a week) they can at the very least decide to become exclusive with me and remove any other potentials. If they still can't even commit to that then they just aren't it. Don't waste your own time! If someone is REALLY into you they'd be very happy to claim you

this just reminded me of a story. I'll never forget at my university there was this awful guy (literally like 5 foot 1, ugly troll face jerk) who LOVED to point out "flaws" on women. One day out of the blue at an afterparty he decided to obnoxiously ask me "Are you actually wearing fake eyelashes?" totally unprompted. Don't worry I clapped back and asked if he was actually wearing an Aeropostale graphic tee in 2015 LMAO and i still rock my lashes when tf I want

I absolutely agree. I was going to actually post on askFDS recently about this, but when tf did the narrative seem to switch from "abstain from sex if you don't want a child" to "but he said he wouldn't stick around, that's on her". I see so many people blaming women and the phrase "it takes two to make a baby" seems to be fading into history. if you can ejaculate into a woman you can raise that child.

Seconded. If he takes more than a couple months to make his intentions clear then just move on or at least pull your expectations all the way back. Don't sleep with them without commitment. Yeah OP not to sound too harsh but you really should not care about this. It doesn't matter if he agrees with how you live your life, you will enjoy it much more when you do not care about the opinions of others. Based on what you've wrote he sounds like he shares the common "women and men are equal, everything 50/50" mentality. there are numerous posts here that can help you decide for yourself how YOU feel about it.

I have seen two men who I've gone out with lying about their age on dating apps. It's creepy, pathetic and I have yet to hear an excuse that makes sense. I definitely recommend a nonchalant, non-confrontational question about something like that. He'll either not think about how the answer will reveal his lie, or he'll take too long to answer while he mentally calculates in order to perpetuate the lie. This is the way to go! Catch them off guard and your lovely intuition will tell you if he is being sketchy. But tbh if he reveals that he lied I think it's better to just make a mental note and move on. Block and delete once you're safely away

That’s horrible. I noticed a few months ago that one of the biggest nude sharing subs didn’t even seem to have any kind of process to verify that the person posting was actually the person in the photo or video. I don’t even wanna think about how much revenge porn is littered in that place

What an ass. Hoping his wife has enough of his shit and leaves. I’d bet a lot of money this man’s deep connection to his coworker was built by being that irritating coworker who overshares their drama at work. She probably listened because she didn’t want to be rude and now we have this oaf considering her his significant other. As many have said, it doesn’t even sound like they’ll be keeping in touch. REAL bizarre for people who are SO close 🙄

The gift is definitely a let down but not a total dealbreaker in my eyes (depends also how big of a deal the dinner was made out to be). But the not cleaning up is so rude and inconsiderate of him, good on you for being observant. Too many men feel as though chores are women’s responsibility. The fact that him seeing you two clean didn’t get him off his ass is ridiculous. He should be on his best behaviour around you. If you want someone a bit more generous and thoughtful I’d keep looking.

I know most of us find it outlandish but I personally know several LVM/NVM who tell me the lengths some women will go for attention and validation. Some of them aren't even good looking! It's really not hard for them to find a woman ready and willing to send nudes and come over for sex. Thanks for your time :) I think I have a good grasp of FDS principles so I can be more sure of myself in doing what feels natural. Even if you feel new to the concepts you helped me just talking through it. It's hard with pickme friends irl but very fair points on staying in tune with my instincts. Maybe I am not so open with men because my gut is telling me that these ones in particular are not good for me!

Wanting to reach out felt natural and didn't feel risky at all, not doing it is what felt weird to me. While I don't think I need to prove myself to a man, how can I expect to keep someone's interest when they do nice things for me, I say thank you but just keep it moving? In one case I'm very sure it felt one sided to the guy I was dating, we had a couple fun dates that ran longer than expected on top of great chemistry but of course once he stopped reaching out we ceased contact... Would a HVM…

Yeah so I was seeing a man, I naturally felt like texting him to ask how he was but recalled FDS. It ended up fizzling out because of a certain interaction, it seemed clear he just wanted sex, but it got me thinking ok- at what point does it not mean a man is desperate and not respectable if HE is the one jumping through hoops to get at someone who barely acknowledges them or cares about how they are doing. Sure on a date, I'll ask and follow up but the in between idk. I am feeling like lately m…

Yeah this is my usual way of dating but I think my main issue lately is getting close to them emotionally & building that connection so maybe that's the second part of my question. So that on top of never initiating ANYTHING (and I mean nothing at all) may be setting me up for thirsty or desperate men. If I'm this closed off, how can I expect a respectable person to keep trying? I fear I come off like I'm playing games when I am interested, but when do they get to feel like we have grown close…

Ok FDS, what do you do to show interest in someone you are dating without seeming desperate? I usually sit back and let them initiate plans and texts entirely but I’m having second thoughts, only because I wonder what HVM would be into a woman who doesn’t ever indicate interest? So what is your approach? May end up just posting to askFDS edit: so I responded to someone about this already but I guess my concerns are more about emotional availability vs displaying interest. If anyone else comes ac…

Yeah to me I would call that being infatuated vs having actual feelings so I see the disconnect. Just remember you don't know someone and their attitudes and behaviors just because they are cute, you are daydreaming and making up what you THINK they are like vs who they actually are. If someone just met you and tried to tell you how you would react in certain situations you'd be pretty annoyed and confused how they drew those conclusions right? You are doing the same to these men when you come u…

Next time dont even advise why you’re ceasing contact. let him wonder why you blocked him or else they get better at masking their shit qualities for the next woman when you spell it out. But your sentiment is entirely correct. Any man that will act lazy towards you is basically implying that you will be there to go back to when they are ready and evidently don’t care/ think the ship will have sailed. Yes! 100% agreed. I left a comment the other day saying they now know women lose all sense when “good morning”/ “hope you had a good day” shows up in their phone LOL. I also imagine them mass sending it out, in fact I’m sure some dumbass tried to send it in a mass text and got all his iPhone “plates” in a group chat at some point 😂 And yeah tbh I tell men I know someone who had a bad experience sharing their number/ social media before meeting. If they argue with me or try to sway me, BLOCKED.

Also, good morning/goodnight texts are a KEY component for sucking you in early. this is true! it takes nothing to just go in his messages app, scroll through names and say good morning/night. guys know by now that women think this means something deeper so they have nothing to lose. do not read into it too much also agree that your focus should be on if you even like this guy. texting can bring forth a false sense of intimacy, remember that you could meet him and he can be nothing like he is ov…

I know it's hard to not daydream about crushes but seriously consider why they are worthy of even being fawned over if they don't care about you. If they aren't making an effort with you, they do not care. Remember this. Someone being cute or nice should not make you catch feelings, that is bare minimum. Men will go after who they want, and you're setting yourself up to be a placeholder if you give them access to this type of attention for doing nothing. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I'm no…

I had a talk about this with friends too! There is literally nothing romantic about a basic walking date. Non- mixed black woman here, light or brown skinned depending on who you ask and this is my exact experience. it’s SO important to weed out the men who just want to use you for an experience. Yup. Had to get real with myself instead of lying and putting on a brave face. For starters, 99% of men suck at sex and can’t make you cum anyway! But those same losers left me with lower self esteem that had me second guessing my own worth. Good riddance! I will no longer lie to myself and pretend I want what casual sex brings. I refuse to be treated like a human flesh light. I don’t even have a single friend who agrees that their casual sex phase was “empowering”

Do what is best for you. You said you do not want to meet right away so don't, it's that simple. He doesn't seem right for you. I personally like to just get the meeting over with but I see no issues if someone wants to chat a bit more. After all, you are both strangers and anxiety over meeting one isn't exactly unheard of. He's already testing your boundaries so this is a no. You don't even need to respond.

Your nephew sounds adorable! SO many women would be happy to just even have some assistance - cut up vegetables, season the meat, etc but they’ll literally just sit on their ass and drink beer until the food is ready The newest thing I look for when dating men is them saying they like to cook (and finding out what). If I do end up with a husband, we’ll be doing it together or taking turns at the very least.

So basically it’s a tik tok challenge. You start your video in super casual clothes like oversized tee and sweats/pyjamas/etc, and pretend that you just woke up or you’re super tired. When the beat drops you transition by squatting low but suddenly wearing sexy clothes, full face of makeup, hair done and essentially act as if you’re full on riding/ twerking on a dick like if you were having sex. Not trying to attack you, just wondering if you or anyone can provide insight. I’ve been in that situation as the offender and while I know I messed up and never told this person how to feel, it felt like a very cheap shot. This happened a decade ago also (not to diminish what I did, but to speak to how much time has passed since it happened.) I don’t speak to…

I had to really accept that I was like this in the past. I got uncomfortable when men showed interest in me in a respectful way and thought they were pathetic somehow (so insulting to myself 😭). The ones who were either gross about it and clearly didn’t take me seriously or who I showed interest in first were the ones I would put effort into because deep down I knew I wanted to feel like I won by making them see that I was good enough to date. And of course I thought I was so cool and chill for …

It really is terrible how people genuinely think shit like this is funny. In what world is it comedy to dick around at your partner’s expense? I know a girl who just had surgery on her ACL and tried to laugh about her boyfriend not being able to do the dishes. Apparently in his 33 years of life he hasn’t learned you need to do more than squirt soap on them and rinse (Scrubbing? What’s that?!). She had to find a stack of greasy plates in her cupboard. HILARIOUS 🤡🤡🤡 Luckily, I brought this up to t…

Ugh I had one of my good friends admit she did this. A whole slew of other shit too because her self esteem was rock bottom. The good thing is she seems to have learned her lesson and I pray she never allows it again. She’s pretty anti dating these days, which is a loss for some man out there because she’s one of the best people I know, but I respect it of course. Also... Exactly. The men complaining are the ones who don't meet the standard. They'll try lowering ours instead of working on themselves. Of course, you can't change your height or dick size, but I know plenty of women who would date someone under the average of any of this criteria if the dude in question was at least financial stable, emotionally available and had genuine RESPECT for their partner. No one will make me believe that is asking for too much. We say over and over that good looks and mon…

The amount of men who called with beyond expired cards was astronomical. 75% of the time their wife or girlfriend was calling and asking what to do... it’s literally free to renew and all you have to do is show up to one of the offices once every 5 years with proper documents (and we give a year grace period after expiry where it’s a simple renewal so technically once every 6 year…

Yes that too! My self esteem honestly dropped afterwards and even though I thought I had a good grasp on my standards, clearly they had dropped as well. I remember being pleasantly surprised when the next man I dealt with let me know he didn’t get back to me because of xyz reason- the bare minimum! Not even worth it at all. Yes exactly! I got downvoted for saying offering to pay gives me “chill girl” vibes. To me, it comes off like you’re trying to prove something to the man and your friend’s words just confirmed it. Im even more lost at the fact that she doesn’t want to pay, but went out of her way~ (don’t want to be dramatic but for lack of better words) to present herself as someone who is seemingly cool with paying... just what? I have been effectively leaving the same comment around FDS for a minute now but this is so important! Let people act as they please, you cannot control them. What you control is how you respond. Absolutely. I’m not wasting a second of my life trying to get these people to change into who I wish they would be. Once I started taking people for who they were my life became way easier, and that goes beyond relationships with men but with friends and family too. If people wanted to, they would!

Then again I mostly seen this happen to girls that are young teens and they usually level up afterwards I used to believe this but now I lean towards thinking most people in relationships settle and hide the disrespect they tolerate just so that they can say they aren’t single. I’m in a personal finance sub for my country and someone was complaining about the high cost of living in our major cities, and included a point about how his budget for dates was high too. Cue a series of people commenting about how their girlfriend/ wife was ok with a coffee or walk in the park and how that’s all they do. I wanna have hope that the nature of the sub is why these people were present (as I’ve literally only been asked to a coffee date once), but it was shocking to read the amoun…

So she recognizes that now that she’s asked enough times it’s clear he’d only be marrying her because of an ultimatum and not because he genuinely wants to, but she’s going to... do nothing about that? 🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s on hinge. So you go through a list of prompts/ questions to add to your profile and come up with the answer yourself This man is the one who chose this question and put this trash response on it. Women are allowed to use this prompt too. Typically people finish it with a quality they want in a partner, which I mean I guess he did here but it was, again, trash LOL

Classic derailment. They want to flip the topic to you and your feelings vs what they did. Don’t let people get away with this! If what they did wasn’t so bad they’d be able to explain why without changing the topic!

Find a broke dude, help build him up and then he leaves you for someone else = you should have picked better Find a rich, successful man who takes care of you and doesn’t expect you to work= gold digger Like most things in life, you can’t make everyone happy. Might as well be taken care of 😂😂😂

Insecure and ignorant. I hope no one in this sub turns a blind eye to this question. Get away from men like this, I don’t care how many men have asked you that makes it seem normal- it’s NOT (not directed at you FYI just saying generally) I wouldn’t ask a man about the race of his exes unless I suspected he fetishized them. You’re 100% correct it’s about them thinking they can’t please you, or even worse, they are racist af.

Haha I was ready to blow up on this comment until I read “who are these dads” 😂 But YES you are not wrong. Its actually deplorable that there are grown people out there who cannot do ANYTHING in the home. I feel like there is no excuse besides having downright abusive parents, but even then people are able to figure out how to take care of themselves. What initially was his parents fault is now his because he’s just TOO DAMN OLD to not step up. He’s an asshole

Yes!! I used to work for the health insurance card office for my province (I’m from Canada). It made me realize one of my standards is a man who is on top of their own appointments and documents. The amount of times we’d get a wife calling to ask about issues with their husband’s card was sickening (and we couldn’t even give them info due to privacy laws!) tbh I think I was always pretty FDS even before finding this sub. this sub made me feel I wasn't absolutely insane for having the standards that I did. One of my girlfriends who seemed to always have a guy around (and who I found out is a huge pickmeisha!) is the one who advised me to just be chill about not having gotten a reply all weekend when it happened to me- yeah nope I unlearned that tip quickly. I used to beat myself up over not finding a good guy while all my friends could, and internalized so much shit for no reason. My biggest issue was I didn’t take in how many people SETTLE just to say they are in a relationship! Everything you mentioned is awful and I’m sure there’s more they haven’t even told you yet 👎🏽 My biggest fear used to be dying alone but now it’s ending up with a childish leech of a NVM! Exactly! Would he take Scarlett Johannson on a coffee & field date? I think the fuck not. This whole thing is simply about him being CHEAP and not that interested. He doesn’t care about impressing this girl (he even says he doesn’t want to do it for someone he has never met) and is bothered he was asked to spend 60 dollars 😂 sorry she’s not interested in people who get wound up over that amount? If you can’t afford an extra 60 bucks in a week you have bigger problems to worry about

I find the people who do brag about not wearing it are just not able to apply it well. It’s like they can’t partake if they wanted to so they feel like they should tear it down to not feel inferior. I hate when people say someone looks worse with makeup... yeah BAD makeup will make anyone look worse. If it’s applied correctly it will enhance your looks, that’s literally the purpose behind it lol

Also no woman is truly natural. We all have skincare routines, shave, do our hair, etc. Being “natural” costs just as much as not. Thank you! Even prior to finding this sub I would get so annoyed at pickmeishas bragging about not wearing makeup and being so natural ... like ok and? In regard to your last couple of sentences, of course they are exceptions BUT how many of those exceptions actually have high value male partners? Wtf?! So he suggested something even lower than a friends with benefits? You’re not a toy he can feel like playing with once a week and then disregard until he feels like it again. I find the “we don’t text” part of his proposal quite insulting. You need to get rid of him. You can love someone and still not be involved with them. my ex best friend was like this. she only had one other good friend besides me (lol wonder how that's working for her these days) and was pretty much distant with everyone else. always had to have a rotation of men (even when she finally got married!) and the joke was on me when i finally realized my position as a placeholder. Don't try to force yourself to see the good in people ladies! When the signs are there don't even waste your time. There are too many people on this planet to give your en…

This is exactly how I do it. I have given a second chance after a guy not confirming by a certain time but they NEVER do it again. It shows that you are a busy person and can easily fill your schedule and if they want to see you then they better be sure to confirm. I don’t care if my last minute plans are to deep condition my hair and do a face mask, I’m not meeting up if you don’t have the decency to check in.

I bet if she did dump him and never speak to him again he would be confused and claim that she never communicated but it sounds like she did to me! We need to stop babying grown ass people and explaining things over and over to spare their feelings. I've been much happier since i stopped giving af about the feelings of those who hurt me without thinking twice. I don't care if it makes me an asshole, people know right from wrong…

Add in "sensitive" lol Tossing out labels like these are such obvious and lousy attempts at changing the focus of the conversation. They get so mad that you call out their shitty behavior that they try to make a problem with your feelings. If their behavior isn't actually shitty, they;d be able to defend it without resorting to changing the topic (they make it go from their actions to the issue with your own feelings). Don't let these people get you off track when calling them out!

If he isn’t going to question WHY the double standard exists he can stfu lmao. Imagine being so pathetic that you use your time doing fake Reddit posts for an eXpErImEnT You’re tired of people assuming you’re a toxic idiot? How do you think women feel being subjected to them all? And personally I feel that in real life there’s always a billion excuses set up to give men a pass for their shitty behaviour.

Just a stranger on the internet but I’m proud of you! I dealt with a man who I would block but he’d find another way to contact me too. In my case, I believe he missed that I would provide emotional support but no more of that for anyone I’m not in a relationship with! I think it also says something about you if you’ll go out of your way to contact someone who evidently has made it clear they do not want to hear from you. People need to do way better at respecting others.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/06/20 11:19 AM

For me it all comes down to genuinely believing anyone would be lucky to have you, and that those who don’t see your value are absolutely nuts!! They’re entitled to feel however they want about you, but you have to KNOW that if they can’t see how great you are, that’s a problem for them.

That's a good way to put it and reminds me of something else I live by- a lack of response IS a response. But exactly as you said, make your own closure. I never stated it was always going to be easy. But I'm a real person here to tell you that "off paper" it certainly does get MUCH easier when you raise your standards and self respect. I wasn't always like this so I can relate. I remember finding it hard at first. I learned this lesson in a situation when I actually wanted closure. I’ve stated it on here before but a talk for “closure” is unnecessary and overrated. Things don’t work out, accept it and move on. For one reason or another, y’all wouldn’t have made it last a lifetime so again, accept it and MOVE ON. Do NOT give these people the satisfaction of thinking you care about them. Even if someone unexplainably changes out of the blue and ghosts you, accept that they don’t even respect you enough to communicate with you. Have some self respect and don’t give your time …

I did so recently as well. why do people even have the energy to be like this? everyone is aware that we all like different things so why even try to tell somebody about what they like to do? Don't hit him up. If he wanted to speak to you he would. Honestly he may have just started seeing someone else. I have found that's usually the reason why guys fade away. It’s so true! I’ve noticed this. It’s always something that paints men like helpless children who should be given chances because they don’t know any better~~~ they want us to keep the expectation bar LOW and we should not be doing that. They’ve gotten away with zero effort for waaaaay too long.

exactly, definitely not trying to claim i'm clairvoyant or anything and I'm sure there will be times when I am wrong, but its been going well so far. it's all about shutting off any external factors and listening to what you feel. In terms of dating, if you feel that something is off or you aren't getting what you deserve, don't let yourself keep trying and think those instincts are you being "crazy". I always got a "something is wrong" feeling with any man I've ever ended things with. you just …

I made a promise this year to get in tune with my gut instincts and it’s been great so far. I tried OLD before I found FDS as well but legit only met up with 3 people. What they all had in common was they asked me out within two days. I think I realized before I found this sub that I had no time to be someone’s pen pal as you put it. What’s the point in wasting time chatting over contrived messages (which are boring 99% of the time!) vs just seeing how things go in person. I only hit it off with one of those guys chemistry wise, so my stance was cemented.
