It depends. I'm divorced and my kids are grown. I would date a man who has older children. Older meaning at least graduated from high school. I will not and have walked away from some seemingly HVM because they had young, school aged kids who lived with their mother. I raised my children and I'm done with that phase of my life. I have no intention of helping raise someone else's kids and being a stepmother. It's a big boundary for me and I have been very firm enforcing it.

That is so foul. I would never stay with someone who was ok with living in filth like that, let alone brag about cleaning up like it's cut.

I think it's sad for us women. We finally get to the age where fear of pregnancy is gone and now they can't perform. I am so done having sympathy for men. Trust me, they have no sympathy for us. Furthermore there are medical options now to deal with low T and other causes of erectile disfunction, and most are too embarrassed to get treatment. Well, every year I have a pelvic exam and mammogram, highly invasive and embarrassing, but I do it for my health. Telling a health professional you can't p…

Thank you for this. I guess I'm just being hard on myself because I'm feeling sad right now.

I'm glad you trusted your instincts and you ate safe. But I'm puzzled as to your mother trying to justify this by saying maybe he was asking for directions. I actually chuckled when I read that. Since WHEN have men EVER asked for directions? 🤨

Thank you for this. I was once a high energy person, singing, dancing, mountain climbing, lifting weights. Then I was in a car accident that basically ruined my life, dislocated my knee, and fractured 2 vertabrae. I'm still in constant pain and will probably never get better. I've put on weight, and can only walk short distances before needing a break. I still matter, I'm still a fun person. I still deserve to be treated well. Thank you for the validation.

Not just young men waste hours on video games, middle aged men do too. Before I got sick of OLD, and before I found FDS, a lot of men's profiles had gaming listed as a hobby. At the time I filtered matches to the 45-55 age range, which is appropriate for my age. Well even pre-FDS I put those gamers as an automatic skip. Screw those guys, get a real hobby.

Recently divorced here after a 23 year marriage I'm loving every minute of it. I get to make my own choices. My apartment is the way I like it and nobody else can mess it up. When I was a teenager my pick me Mom used to tell me I had to be nicer to the boys or I would end up living all alone with a bunch of cats. For the first time in my life I am alone. I have a cat. I have so much enjoyment just me and my kitty and I wonder why did my mother warn me that this would be a bad thing? I hope I get…

I am a woman in my late forties. I work as an environmental geologist and am outdoors most of the day in the hot Texas heat. I don't wear makeup at work because it will just melt off my face. At least that's what I tell everybody. In reality, I have hardly worn makeup for at least 20 years. Over the years I used to compare the pressure to wear makeup the same as wearing of a burqa in extremely conservative Muslim countries. Women in those countries are forced to hide their face with a covering. …

I reread what I posted and I realized I may have come across as being judgmental and that is not the case. I think it's more frustration than anything else. Especially after being on FDS for a while knowing only LVM would make such a request in the first place. I apologize for my tone in the op.

The hardest part of calculus for me was sequences and series. I just couldn't get it. But heck I loved integrals.

No one believes I am 47. I don't lie about my age either I own every year that I have lived on this Earth, because each year is a gift. Any scrote who makes that comment to you at your age is an jackhole.

Long story to tell, sorry if I'm rambling. I have a STEM degree, a B.S. in Geology to be exact. I quit school in my sophomore year of college in the early 90s when I got pregnant. I went back to college at age 36 to complete my degree. I did experience sexism in high school by teachers, it's ok if girls can't do math, etc. In college the mix in the geology program, was 50/50. I currently live in a southern state in the US. I lived in the northeast US up until 6 years ago. My first job after coll…

WTF? He totally ignores her conversation, changes the subject to talk about his ass and poop and she's smiling? Even at the height of my pickmesha old self I would not have thought this was cute. 🤢

Why is chivalry something that is taught in school in the first place? And it is outrageous that the assignments given to girls were to please the boys so they get prizes. I am just outraged by this and my kids weren't involved in this lesson at all. The only glimmer of hope I have is that the school board came to their senses and decided that this lesson should be pulled.

When my ex-husband and I split up (married 23 years). I had my wedding dress and I was thinking about cutting it up in tiny squares. Someone mentioned a charity that takes old wedding dresses and sews them into gowns for stillborn babies to be buried in. I donated it to that charity. I found a few love letters recently that my ex wrote to me. I read them and put them in a file folder. I was thinking about burning them but I didn't yet. as far as the jewelry goes he did get me a lot of nice thing…

Holy crap I'm in my late 40s and I've never once had this happen to me. Is this something new with younger men? I'll stick with men my own age on viagra then.

This is a peeve of mine. I'm not going to shave my bush! I did it once at the request of my now ex husband and it was awful. It itched, I got ingrown hairs, never again! A child is bald. A woman has hair! Now I have nothing against keeping it trimmed but I will not shave it off and make myself uncomfortable ever again just because a man has sick "preferences".

Congratulations! What a great Valentine's Day present! Get yourself some flowers, chocolate, perfume, whatever you like to treat yourself! My divorce was final right after New Year's. I bought myself a bottle of champagne and a gold chain!

I found this sub the exact same way. It was described as one of the most toxic subs on Reddit. So I thought I'd check it out because the name female dating strategy seemed innocuous enough. I like it here and I don't see this as toxic as well I see it as empowering.
