I have the same view of getting in another relationship, it's not something I am considering. I am focusing on enhancing my well-being while being alone instead, and so should you I suppose.

Another total stranger here, Make everything you say or do revolve around enhancing your own well-being istead of feeling bad about what happened. this sounds simple, but it does wonders if you do it right. Don't give much thought to any previous mistake or adversity you have gone through and please show up for YOU, it's all about you.

I do feel the need to thank you very much for this analysis, sir. This is one of the best comments I've come across that summed up the whole absurd story of divorce.

God, I pray thee, do not make me one of those. Amen.

Sir, that's an great piece of advice. Don't even give one shit about what she is doing.

What about finding happiness on your own and leaving women with all their crappy drama? I am a fan of being single and building one's own happiness from scratch.

I know nothing about her. But from what I know about her personality, she must be regretting her decision to get a divorce when she feels lonely and misses everything good about me. Then, she will desperately try to convince herself each time that she did the right thing. Am I doing better than her? I didn't want the divorce at that time, however I fully realize now that I really needed this divorce, so I am much better.

I will never be able to trust women again, even if I try to do so.

This what appears on the surface, women just cover their feelings. I'm not saying you sould care about what she experiences, just don't go too hard on yourself, all humans are emotionally fragile and have these irrational feelings most of the time. You're not alone. Take care of yourself, that's what will make you satisfied and complete.

I acknowledge that there is this weird unnecessary feeling of being ashamed when someone discovers you are divorced. It's a universal feeling. But, she as a woman is experiencing this feeling of being embarrassed and ashamed 10 times more than you as a man, and this is also a universal truth, divorce is much more of a calamity for women than it is for men, even if she is the one who initiated it and said she really wanted it. It's not a financial calamity for her of course, but it's very much an…

Well, I didn't mean it in a sexual way. If you ask me I am not giving a flying shit about sex. I mean do yourself the kinds of favors that will make you genuinely happy, the healthy stuff, you know.

She was the one who wanted divorce, I kept trying to convince her that we should be together. Once I realized that she began to treat me as a dog I made sure that divorce is over asap, which shocked her so much. So, I guess he hasn't made his decision yet. If he really wants it he will not postpone anything.

I feel very uplifted reading these kinds of encouraging comments, the type that assures you the light is actually there, at the end of the freaking dark tunnel. This is not naïve optimism, NO, this is the type of optimism you feel when you toil and strive to be better and better despite all of the crap surrounding all of us in this tough world.

I don't know about your story, sir, but I assume she might have hurt you. I refuse to miss someone who hurt me, even if I do feel it. We should control this feeling, we should forget about it. It's easier said than done, but we must keep resisting this feeling and look ahead.

I used to view marriage as the holy of holies. I no longer think this way. Marriage is not worth it, let alone any other human relation. Be good to people but don't form any bonds with them. Stay away from women, they are dangerous in every sense of the word, and that's not even misogyny, that's sheer reality.
/r/Divorce_Men23/07/24 03:51 PM

People who didn't go through divorce can't imagine how emotionally agonizing this can be. I guess I feel exactly what you mean, sir. Marriage for me is the holiest relationship to ever exist among human beings. She couldn't care less about marriage though.

It depends, I am an ambivert (that is an introvert who is capable of being an extrovert when needed), so having a small social network is not something that concerns me. However, the advice I can give you is to focus on maintaining your relationship with yourself first, then your relatives and close friends. Make the few people you know even closer to you. Try to change something about your personality, try to love solitude and appreciate your own company. You can't achieve this without having s…

Something that helped me is deciding not to feel any kind of nostalgia (easier said than done). I tried hard to change the way I look at these memories, I am now convinced they are fake, if they weren't fake she should have taken them as a reason not to be selfish. One thing about us humans is that we can change our opinions once we are convinced that it's better to change them, it just takes a lot of mental effort and patience.

You don't need to worry about any of her business. She wants to feel so free and so empowered by changing her name back, but in reality that's only a futile attempt to feel so. I don't know about her, but one thing I am sure of is that she is desperate, she wants to annoy you, the only good response is not to give a fuck about any of her business.

Do you allow me to ask if you're happy in your second marriage? And yeah, I'm not contemplating the idea of marriage any time soon. I don't want to dedicate my whole being to a woman that is selfish by nature (I've come to the conclusion that women tend to be more selfish than men, may not be a correct view, but I'm not ready to gamble with my wellbeing again).

Yep! But this time I'm a very aware individual.

I do appreciate your words, Sir. Physical exercise is something that helps me greatly during this painful process, and I don't even go to a gym, rather I do a wide variety of home exercises and it's awesome. I didn't move to a different location, though. I wanna face all of these memories and process them one at a time so that I will be completely healed from them. I don't want these memories to pop up from time to time.

You're the prize now... that's a very brilliant statement. That's exactly what I learned too, I must keep trying to be the best man I can be, then let the woman who deserves me get to humbly enter my empire.

Exactly this, take each and every step to protect yourself against a predator capable of screwing your whole wellbeing. Women are dangerous, women are far worse than men what it comes to being selfish and whimsical.
/r/Divorce_Men26/06/24 11:22 AM

Me too, but not anytime soon. Maybe if I can guarantee I will not be shattered again if this future wife wants divorce too. I will not trust women again, I gotta take the right steps to protect myself.

This one hit me really hard, sir. You eloquently described 90% of what happened to me, and I am sure too pretty much all of fellow divorced men.

/r/Divorce_Men25/06/24 10:48 PM

Is it likely because of how most women are, or is being with someone else not for you?
