No disability means that any person owes you a relationship, that's not how relationships work. 'Its an explaination not an excuse' is a wonderful phrase.

As someone who struggles with oral hygiene myself I really don't see how you get to that point with your hygiene that it's affecting your health and also maintain a relationship without it being somewhat willful. Like being suicidal makes one not want to do basically anything but a normal human should be focusing on themselves and not a toxic relationship if the rest of their life is that messed up. Also my best hygiene practices are when I'm in a relationship. Idk why anyone would want to appea…

How disgusting of a person do you have to be to purposefully give yourself infections in order to poison your girlfriend what the actual fuck?

Yeah this is basically my experience with my ex except that relationship only lasted a bit more than 4 months. I spent like $500 visiting him because he was only in my hometown for an internship and left after a month and a half, and then he didn't get me any birthday present or even grace me with an actual breakup and instead just did what I can best describe as emotionally ghost me while I was visiting him. Looking back it really seems like he was trying to find ways to hurt me with how much n…

Amen. They get pissy if you don't perform exactly to their expectations.

Lol yeah my ex who "was totally a feminist" and I were in a non exclusive long distance relationship (I actually do want an open relationship, though I'll admit most poly people are... questionable) would talk about his conquests in front of me no issue but then get uncomfortable and pissy if I brought up the possibility of me sleeping with other unnamed people, even after he didn't want to give me head, he literally didn't like me saying "well I guess I can get it elsewhere" like wtf else did y…

Lol, salt = scammer, splenda = insultingly low offers/ wants to buy you dinner and a knockoff purse for sex 🤮. There's a bit of bleed between the two because a lot of "splenda daddies" are just trying to scam girls for sex. Also both salt and splenda are like 20x more common than "actual sugar" on sites like SA.

I agree, I would skip the fade phase or at least keep it very short, like <1 week. Had a (LV definitely, but that's another story) boyfriend in high school where postponing the breakup because I didn't know how to end it spectacularly backfired. Not good for either person tbh.

Just another reason pregnancy is scary af. Not only does it do crazy stuff to your body it leaves you extremely vulnerable. A reason I genuinely never understood having children on purpose without getting married.

Yeah my reply was that the only reason it's "more profitable" for women is the male gaze and the patriarchy, and yeah, maybe some women can exploit that but it's still not a fucking boon. Then he got weirdly aggressive so I practiced block and delete. So useful.

Yeah, most sex work isn't actually that freeing. The fact that it shows up on background checks and can lead to life long consequences not just in terms of your mental and physical health shows that. I'm someone who is interested in sex work myself mostly because it would provide more financial freedom, but it's sooo risky in a lot of different ways and I don't really want to take that risk even if I personally would find it fun (if only in a very strange, non-realistic bubble). Even past that w…

I'll also grant that the slippery slope argument, while usually fallacious, is actually quite accurate in this instance. It's very easy to get caught in a toxic cycle while engaging in kink, all the data on violent and toxic porn that we have definitely proves that.

I mean it still probably feels like judgement even if it's coming from a place of compassion. I agree that BDSM culture is toxic af and no place for traumatized people (read: most people who are masochists). I just don't think people should be judged solely for what turns them on until they cause harm (Yes consuming exploitative porn is harmful, they're funding the harm. Yes engaging in anything remotely kinky without the explicit and informed consent of literally everybody in the room is harm.)

I mean, I'm not vanilla but it's more on the side of sensory play/ I enjoy being tied up and pleasured until I decide I'm done. Not into sadism or masochism because I'd rather not bring trauma into the bedroom, thank you. The assumption that if you aren't 100% vanilla that you should like that stuff is vile also. I'm on the side of not kinkshaming the people who actually do like it and engage in it in a safe way (they should probably try therapy first but who am I to judge) but if we're being ho…

Like when Janet Jackson got cancelled for someone else's mistake. A very embarrassing mistake for her, made worse by the fact wasn't her fault.

My pet theory is many of these men got good at sex and then stopped working on bettering themselves in other ways because their appearance and skills in bed can pull women frequently enough that they can sexually satisfy themselves. The cycle of relationship/situationship, dissatisfaction at the situation they orchestrated (usually on both sides), throwing out the old sexual interest, then finding a shiny new one, then back again w/o any self introspection or work in between is a common one.

Only the ones they didn't like and are just using for sex, which tbh could easily be most of them since we've all seen how impossible men's standards are, especially LV/NVM.

Dead bedrooms 100% have to do with otherwise unhealthy relationships. It just so happens that man babies are the most common cause of that.

Idk I think he's still a psycho monster it's just that 30-50% of the male population are psycho monsters so it's been kinda normalized.

It's almost as disappointing as sex with a man who doesn't know how/doesn't care to please a woman. The worst is when it's both, or they have an overly large dick and have no clue how to use it, ouch!

I like being cute, I really enjoy cute people, but if you're only calling me cute/adorable I will be very put off. It just seems like a really sneaky neg. If I'm dating or going to date you better think I'm beautiful and hot and attractive too because I am all those things, and won't accept anyone making me feel anything less.

I agree it's a hard tightrope to balance on, full legalization is bad because it allows exploiters (pimps and traffickers) to profit and operate. I don't know the answer for where to draw the line, because just decriminalizing leads to situations like sex workers being turned into confidential informants (dangerous!) and also generally having to work in shady/underworld places if being a sex worker is 'legal' but paying for sex is not. But it's also true that sex trafficking has flourished in pl…

Yeah, legalization/decriminalization really needs to be in step with policies that root out traffickers and pimps. They aren't (or at least should not be) sex workers, they're sex exploiters.

Gah, this exactly. The difference between a broke hvm and a broke lvm is the first one is willing to put in the time and effort. If you don't want to spend so much you have to make up for it with immaculate planning. Plan a picnic, invite your date to a gallery opening, go to a mid range museum. It's not that difficult! Of course this will only get you so far with someone who is on a decidedly different life stage. That said showing that you care is a hell of a lot better than, for instance, not…

It helps keep your space clean, and is prettier than like 95% of men. Yes definitely better than a LV/NVM.

Well he was probably love bombing you. I'd take the 'bare minimum' now as how he actually wants to treat you and if that's not good enough, there's no good explanation, and he won't start treating you better (he likely won't, I wouldn't waste the time trying to find out if I were you), then I'd gtfo.

I'd agree but there are so many more ways that a man can be terrible in bed than just straight up impotence. It's almost creative how many different ways they can fuck it up except for the fact that it usually stems from having zero creativity :/ That being said you can generally guage how attentive/ compatible he is by just making out/ some heavy petting. This is also a good test because if he complains about blue balls he's definitely low value. But still, some things just don't come out till …

My entire strategy on the matter is if they ask me out, I'm expecting them to pay, it's basically a litmus test. If it went well, I really like them, and the meal was nice enough (read: it was expensive/he was generous) I will offer to pay the tip as it shows how I expect him to treat wait staff and I like to make cute origami shirts/pants out of the small bills. If they won't pay and bring up splitting the check, no big deal I'm certainly capable of paying for myself, it just ends up looking qu…

I usually go for sex around the 2nd-5th date if they've impressed me (or drop them if they haven't) because I've got a fairly high libido and sexual compatibility is important to me. That said I can understand this viewpoint as well, it's not like I haven't been burned by fuckbois, and this goes especially if sex is something extremely intimate/special to you. I would caution against waiting until marriage though. This is unless you're doing it for religious/spiritual reasons because tying yours…

Yeah it sucks when two people you care about start pressuring you, especially if it's "enter our relationship but don't get emotionally attached because we're gonna tell you about all our other conquests too." Any relationship requires mutual respect and it's all to easy for someone to get ganged up on like that. Anyways I'm sorry you went through that, they sound like sucky friends.

I feel like the only thing that should be normalized about porn and polyamory are people's abilities to set boundaries and know how they personally feel on the subject. It definitely shouldn't be normalized that everyone has to just accept these things in a relationship. Shaming someone for knowing what they want in terms of commitment from a partner is stupid, especially so if you claim to be poly (because as always nonconsentual/coerced poly is not poly it is cheating, in the same way that "no…

I don't personally have any problem with the art. I went and looked at it and while the message is a bit overblown and I don't think it's particularly good/of high value, it's also my opinion that "Karen" isn't particularly misogynistic except for the fact that there isn't a male equivalent ("boomer" kinda works, but isn't explicitly male) I'll admit it does suck if your name is Karen tho. I feel like shitty demanding people deserve to be called out and that's usually what Karen jokes are about.…

Yeah there's a reason nobody wants to be the unicorn, I'm bi and open to poly and I want nothing to do with joining a "straight" relationship looking for a third because the dynamics are almost always fucked. Additionally if the guy isn't bi he almost always has problematic feelings about queerness and chances are he's gonna be weirdly jealous of you and I just don't vibe with that.
