3	Just Returned from an intense 7 day conference, learned valuable lessons The hierarchy one is tricky but a good point. Once you realize every person is just a person, they are a lot less intimidating to talk to. 1	Coming off too strong yeah, I think I forget that. Through traveling alone, I've gotten really comfortable with whoever coming up to me. Most of my travels have been in Latin America, and friendly Mexicans or Colombians will come up to you all the time and want to make conversation. Same goes in hostels with other backpackers.
