I was terrified of women in high school and never made a move on any of my crushes or women I was interested in. Through studying seduction and gaining confidence in my 20s, I've been able to get over a lot of approach anxiety. I now strike up conversations with a lot of women every week.

Went out to a soul night last night here in Seattle and tried talking to about 7-10 either women or groups of mostly women. I got blown out a lot, it amazed me how poorly I did.

I think my problem is coming off too strong. Through studying seduction, traveling, and giving less of a fuck in general, I learned how to blow through approach anxiety and just go for it. Now I need to learn actually how to be a little more apprehensive or slow in my approach. I think I'm mixing up being confident with being just too direct or full on. So now, I feel I need to learn the dance, the slow chase, how to be more subtle with my eye contact, and not come off so strong.

Wondering if anyone else has a take on this or has experience a similar thing?

TL DR: I think I have the opposite problem of many guys, I approach too strong and too often, now I need to learn more tact and slow down quite a bit.
