Woman dumps husband, hooks up with female partner, the scenario is described as 'The greatest love story ever told'. Mostly because it is a guy getting dumped and betrayed.

'Yes, I already stated that in another thread. The exact opposite is the case: Everyone expects men to work to get a woman.' Yes.This. I had a very liberal intellectual complain to me that Elliot Rodgers 'just expected' to get hot women 'without doing anything'..I pointed out that that hot woman could 'get a man' without doing anything...in fact, a woman with the equivalent of rodgers looks could 'get a man' without doing anything. The guy went freaking nuts and called me a misogynist.

'Feeling entitled is not the same as being entitled. Because they are not in actuality entitled to women's bodies, there is no reason to find evidence of entitlement in reality.' But its a pretty poor form of entitlement. For comparison a business man arguing with a store clerk can MAKE SHIT HAPPEN to ensure his reasonable demands bear fruit. Or consider the really short and boring story of the girl that felt 'entitled to sex' girl felt entitled to sex girl found a man right away girl had sex, th…

'"Oh I love my boyfriend." and then are touching me flirtatiously' I suppose the thing about that is accepting people are human.Thats obviously a step too far..but I have seen the opposite.I am a good looking guy and quite often new GFS of friends will hit on me, the ones that dont, I respect a lot. I now dread being broke because I know brokeness = no girls. Thats not necessarily true.Even if you hold the value thing, there is a lot more value you can offer than money and lifestyle. The guys I …

Consider that a lot of the base of the new wave of PUA, the Mystery Method was actually based on the behaviours of women, especially attractive socially experienced women.

Worse still, about 90% of those who actually DO study STEM do not end up in it, rather in management, education, administration etc etc ect

'My natural frame was to be kind and genuine and to let people walk all over me.' I think if you learn to value yourself from the inside-out, you can be kind and genuine and still not be a doormat.

Not really. Men put similar amounts of energy into kissing, heavy petting and any other non orgasmic sexual contact. I dont think there is any evidence that women find THOSE ACTIVITIES less satisfying

I struggle with the notion of 'holding frame' I suppose because 'holding frame' because you read it somewhere is always going to be weaker than the frame of 'just being you'.An I suspect this exact insecurity keeps men trapped in PUA thinking. If you truly value yourself from the inside out, i an authentic way, I think your judgements of yourself and the world would change.Your goals would become more personal and less conventional.

The way of looking at things: cold, calculating, measuring, cynical is very akin to the mind of a narcissist. Having said that, a lot of traits that women display, if a man displayed them would be considered narcissistic or even sociopathic.

It does not matter whether its biological instinct or cultural. At some point in a womans life she will realise that men are willing to give up more to sleep with her than women are willing to give up to sleep with men...and this will impact her sexual strategy

Believe they won't be harmed Believe the sex will be good. (This in particular is something a lot of women struggle with) That makes no sense.By adding two conditions you are no longer comparing like with like. Men enjoy sex with women even more if the woman is: incredibly good looking amazing at sex

oh approaching is the 'easy part' staying in the set, transitioning, building attraction, going into comfort and all that jazz is waaaaay harder than approaching. Theres 300 things u can do wrong as a guy

I believe the reason is society has two different implicit ways of assessing men and women. Men have POTENTIAL to acquire status/power, women have INTRINSIC value, tied to their bodies/looks. The good news for women is that women need not be penalised or discriminated against for achieving things in traditional male zones, this is just hangover from the 'old boys club'. The bad news for men, is that when women do achieve everything that men do in status/power, the women STILL hold on to corporal…

I suppose you have men who are insecure around a woman who outwits them, or is funnier, or can break their balls etc etc. I suppose the question is, if the guy did not act pissy, would the woman still be attracted to a man who she could walk rings around mentally/in other ways, if he 'sucked it up' and acted cool? I honestly dont know.

It's not a strategy. It's human interaction Women are in general far more accomplished at strategy than men in relationships, so much so they may even see it as 'just interaction'

I do sometimes act in these ways towards women.I think it is just normal for many people to by shy around the opposite sex. Its not necessary to politicise it.

I'll take this one chief. Why do you manipulate women for something as fleeting and ultimately meaningless as sex? - All humans use persuasion around sex, whether its makeup, seductive tone of voice, flirtatious body language etc etc etc. Also there is no rule in human affairs that interactions must have X level of depth, if it werent so we would be justified in giving women a hard time for casual sex. Why is your sense of self-worth and masculinity tied up in the amount of sex you have? I think…

I dont think the idea that most women are the same is what bothers people about PUA. its that there may be commonalities that men can exploit (which there certainly are). We could say, not all men are alike, how dare you assume that if Megan Fox (or a non famous physical equivalent) strolled up to a man and asked him for casual sex, he would certainly say yes.But unless he was gay or asexual the odds are pretty staggering that he would say yes. SO in that regard, most men are alike.

Older women arguing for men to date women over 30 is nothing to do with being human, being kind or anything else. Its raw self-interest, date people like me because I wish my dating/admiration pool to increase.

'It SUCKS that even though I try so hard and truly feel worthy of respect, just walking down the street people (men) don't expect anything of me. Men don't expect me to work hard. They don't expect me to do great things.' Conversely men are EXPECTED to be good at STEM or at best good at traditional trades. Most men probably dont fall into the category of being good at either. Sure men are expected to reach lofty heights, but the vast majority who do not are seen as failures. We could argue about…

'But if you don't acknowledge women as complex (as complex as you) beings you are going to limit severely the possible interactions with them.' This is just weird, men do not go out in the world 'primed' with the appropriate attrivbution of complexity to male acquaintances let alone women. They just go and interact. 'For example when you say you must never show weakness ' This is a tricky are because there are DEFINITELY women who do not tolerate this in men. There may be plenty who do. But also…

'Keep it human' is the kind of phrase corporations use when what they really mean is be machiavellian but do not allow that to be spoken about. The woman that you approach that cuts you down and wont even shake your hand and say hi is not 'keeping it human' but she will never be shamed for this or asked to change.

My own personal belief is that society gives vagina higher value than cock. And theres nothing you can do about that. IF she fancies you or becomes attracted to you or interested in you in some way, she will invest in you to an extent that the disparity will become less obvious, but it will never go away. even the wealthiest men sometimes pay for sex.Better to accept reality and work within it than insist on a non existent equality

nah, there was a study into this that showed womens attractiveness rose a little up to 50K earnings a year but above this made no difference, while men who earned 250K or more a year had 136% more first time contacts from women compared to men 50K or below

Narcissism is a very complex thing. Narcissists are very good at putting on an entertaining, humorous, funny sociable air while they are around 'targets' it can really be dazzling and they can charm men as easily as women.Narcissists are just more motivated than the most motivated PUA (non narcissistic) could ever be, getting attention for them is live and death..and they are also masters at faking humility. I'm referring to people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I think there is a tensi…

The problem with 9+ girls is that they are hyper sensitive to men's motives. They have to be, otherwise theyd be getting into trouble every day they leave the house. To quote Sinn they can recognise interest like a shark smelling blood in the water. For this reason im doubtful about negging.Funnily enough, Girls have negged me, cocky girls who are not quite my equal in looks, I dont know if they learned that or it comes natural. Its fun and I play along sometimes but even as a guy, it comes off …

I have never seen negging work in practice. Gentle teasing seems to be something many women enjoy, on the other hand. However I am of the opinion that the 'cocky funny' routine can fall badly flat if it is not congruent, and can look way too tryhard. I'm almost certain that one of the most attractive things a man can be is very non-tryhard. Simply because it is so rare in men who hit on women.
