Ok, I'll give this a shot. I've been meaning to start doing yoga again anyway. Thanks

I don't live in a place with an abundance of single, attractive women. It's been really hard developing this mentality

I don't know where you heard that, but a cheek kiss comes off as weak. Don't do it. Always go for the lips on the first date. YouTube how to kiss properly or search on seddit for tips.

I think there's a big misconception about how much good looks play a part in seducing women. Being handsome will get your foot in the door, but you still have to walk through the door. Meaning, if you struggle with insecurity, can't hold a decent conversation or display any kind of confidence in yourself, you could look like Brad Pitt and women would not sleep with you. Women aren't as visually stimulated as men are. Never use looks as an excuse to complain about your lack of success. Every guy …

I think calling a girl makes you stand out from the pack more than just texting her

I think this is something the majority of guys struggle with. I definitely do. So you're not alone. I think the solution is to keep yourself busy with your hobbies and work. Have goals in life that you're constantly working towards. Fill your schedule up so you might only have one or two free nights a week. Then it's easier to hang back and let the girl come to you, simply because you don't have time to overpursue her.

I want to also recommend the Headspace app, as well as the book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Great stuff. I've only started seriously doing meditation, but it really does help with anxiety levels and to not overthink everything so much.

On the other side of the coin, online dating can be very helpful with meeting women you wouldn't ever normally run into in your day-to-day life. As someone that doesn't live in a big, beautiful city like San Francisco, it's more difficult to meet attractive single women. There just aren't as many of them around. 90% of the women I match with on tinder are 30+ miles away from me. So while I am making an effort to meet women in real life, I'm also not limiting myself to my small county.

I just mentioned this book in another thread. I'll give you a specific example that happened when I was trying to practice being more vulnerable with women. This occurred in the dining hall of my university (on different days) I caught eyes with a really cute girl sitting at a table across from me while eating lunch with my friends. The thought of getting up and introducing myself to her and her friends in the middle of lunch was intimidating and scary, but it's something I always thought would …

Read Models by Mark Manson. Literally changed my life. He talks all about this: how making yourself vulnerable and being honest with your intentions are the best way to attract women and keep them attracted. It boosts your self-confidence as well. Most guys grow up thinking that there's a weakness in putting yourself out there like that, but if you think about it, it's the complete opposite.

It's hard to give advice when you've only got three weeks to work with. First priority is making sure you're doing well in your classes. After that I would normally suggest joining a few clubs that interest you but everything is probably wrapping up for the year, so that's a no go. Do you have any friends in your classes? Maybe ask to sit with someone when you grab food. Doesn't have to be a girl. You should focus on building a group of friends you enjoy hanging out with first. You might get luc…

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” - Winston Churchill Being good with women is a skill, and just like anything else requires practice. I urge you to stick with it, and focus on long-term improvement. Read Models by Mark Manson if you haven't already. That book turned my life around.

Is it just me or does this article come off as shallow? It has some good advice regarding self-improvement, but it takes an very mathematical approach to attracting women. Life isn't that black and white. I would never want my income to be main the reason why I'm dating a certain woman.

I did this unintentionally once at a bar earlier this year. I walked up to a group of three girls chatting away, said "Hi!" and then waited for a response. They acted like I wasn't even there. It was very awkward, but I actually thought it was kind of rude of them to not even acknowledge me. I didn't leave immediately. I looked back and forth at the two girls who were currently chatting but I got nothing. I walked away laughing to myself. It was bizarre.

I agree with you. Not to put down the OP, I got the same vibe from this. It sounds like he was subconsciously trying to impress her. If he didn't actually care, the post title would have been "[FR] How I got 5 girls' numbers last night". She was singled out as the goal. I wish you the best OP and I hope things go well.

There are a lot of guidelines and things to remember here. It's better to keep it simple, in my opinion. That way you can react naturally to the situation and not worry about what the right/wrong move is. If she's into you (or not), it doesn't matter if you approach when she's in a group or waiting to pay at the register with her friends. Introduce yourself, tell her you thought she was cute and wanted to say hi, and go on from there.

I've deleted her number and her snapchat. Only thing left is Facebook, which I'm hesitant to delete because I don't want to come across as bitter. I'm not. I still think she's awesome and I accept her decision, it just stings right now. I unfollowed her and her friends so they don't pop up on my feed.

She didn't keep me around long then. I've only known her for a little over two weeks. Never paid for anything. I'm honestly not sure what could be causing me to be clingy, if I was at all. I texted her maybe two times a day, half the time she would initiate. I do have a good body, I do eat right, I consider myself good-looking, I get enough sleep (or try to), and I'm really passionate about music. I am comfortable with myself. It's hard for me to think about what the cause could be. I'm not perf…

I agree with you on the part of not coming across as needy and the abundance mentality, but I really don't like the texting or mind games that take place when you're talking to someone new.

Right. What would she be using me for if not for sex though? An emotional sponge? I agree with you that no couple should wait months to have sex. I think that's stupid.

I did throw myself at her, you're right. I was looking for a serious relationship, she wasn't. It was really easy to talk to her. We had a lot in common and she was totally open about everything in her life. I reciprocated. I didn't hesitate to say what was on my mind because I wanted to be honest with her about my emotions. This state of mind is new to me, so I went overboard.

True. She had told me that her last relationship lasted a month and a half, which involved no sex and mostly arguing. The guy asked her to be his girlfriend after two weeks (weird). In my mind I didn't really qualify it as a real relationship. Even so, I was straightforward with her about wanting to be intimate: cuddling, sex, etc. She told me she really wanted to get to know a person before getting too physical.

Great post. The brain is a really funny thing. Yesterday I faced my fears and went out of my way to introduce myself to a girl I've had a crush on for a few months. I felt great, I wasn't nervous and I was proud that I approached. But just a bit ago today, I made direct eye contact with a hot brunette that was walking out of class and she gave me every reason in the world to say hello, or literally anything, to her, but my brain decided it wanted to keep the status quo. I didn't say anything. I'…

I don't think there's anything wrong with someone being forward with their sexual intentions. After all, that's one of the golden rules of seduction. I would take it as a compliment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're just afraid of sex. And it's ok to be. I was when I was a virgin. I remember driving back to my place with the girl I was talking to at the time and freaking out inside my head about what it would be like or what I should/shouldn't do. I would say tell her how you're feeli…

I know what you're talking about, but it happens rarely. Is it keeping you from getting a good night's sleep? When it happens to me now I usually just laugh to myself because I find it funny. Maybe try re-framing those memories into funny situations. If you think about, it's not that big of a deal. Everyone has missed opportunities.

It's OK man! I seriously crashed and burned my first time (which was about two weeks ago). I came off like I was half-retarded. I'll go into a detail a bit so you can get a laugh: I was sitting in one of the rooms of my college's dining hall with a few friends when I saw her eating at another table with two friends. We had made eye contact a few times while eating so I assumed she was interested. I didn't want to interrupt them during lunch so I waited until they were about to leave and then lef…

I'm doing everything in the 'Setting Yourself Up for Success' section right now, as well as making an effort to be more social or do things to get me out of my comfort zone. I really just need to start approaching more girls.

Sure, it would be interesting to hear how you see things mentally. I just discovered Sasha Daygame last weekend (when you posted his video, I think) and I think he's awesome. I think my problem with AA is I get so worked up with what's going on in my head that I don't think about how I want the girl to feel. Like making her feel good, giving her a genuine compliment, making her day better, etc. It simplifies things when you look at it that way. It's less about you more about her. I definitely ne…

Thanks, I'll try it out. In regards to the texting, a good first text is "hey it's (name), it was nice meeting you today". Don't chat too much after that, set up a date and talk in person ASAP.

I was eating lunch with a group of friends at the campus dining hall when I saw her eating with her two friends a few tables away. I didn't want to interrupt them while they ate, so I waited until they were getting up to leave and then grabbed my tray and headed out a few seconds after they did. They stopped to look at some poster near the entrance. I made eye contact with the girl, walked over, said "Hey, excuse me, you're really cute" with a smile.

I feel like I should mention that your average girl on Tinder is matched with around 30 guys at any given time as well. It's very hard to stand out.

Thanks for this. I also wanted to ask, have you ever approached a group (two or more girls) and gotten one or both of their numbers? I'm in college and girls are often in groups. If I'm in the dining area and I see a girl at a table with her friend, should I go for it? It's a huge mental hurdle for me at the moment. Right now I'm just trying to train my brain to stop avoiding approaching and start doing it without thinking.

Thanks for writing this. I really understand where you are coming from. I was just saying to myself earlier tonight "You need to get out of your comfort zone, nothing is going to change if you keep doing the same things over and over." You've inspired me. Thank you.

I agree. A lot of what you've said matches up with what Mark Manson wrote in his book Models: Attract Women Through Honesty. Recommended read for sure.
